Sweet Mistery - A Night Out at the Dying Star
The night had so far been a complete bore, in fact, the only enjoyment Angela got from this was the constant playing of music, most of which she didn't mind, she detested the techno and rave music and was beyond relieved to discover that had she come yesterday then she would have heard nothing but that insult to music the entire night. She also happened to be one of the few people who where legally allowed to drink alcohol, yet wasn't, thus making her single beverage last the entire night. Angie's 'friends' where all off, some had left and she hadn't even noticed, she may not be the most fun person to go out with, but that was because she barely new any of her new school mates and they where all here with either their boyfriends or they where hunting down some innocent victim to hook up with.

There was hardly any point in meeting anyone here, if they came here then they obviously like this type of place a lot and Angela was hardly going to date someone who's time out having fun involved drinking till they got sick. Of course not everyone who came here was like that, and even if there were a whole lot of cute guys around, all she ever did was look, hell if she was going to be stuck spending time with some jerk that would probably just run off once he got bored with her like what happens with all these girls she knows. Besides, even if she did meet someone and he turned out to be amazing, he'd bolt off the instant Fear floats up to him, so she grumpily waited for the girl who had promised to take her home to finish dancing and get ready to leave. It was only nine, even though they have been there since 6, Angela had no idea her class mates intended on staying till well after twelve, and that's if they don't meet anyone.

Thinking of Fear, Angela dully cast her eyes down to her lap, the ghostly creature of her mind resting peacefully, it's form still and motionless so not to cause Angela to get any unwanted attention. None of the others knew about Fear, Angela had always kept him hidden away from them somehow, she didn't want the new school kids to turn on her like her old school friends did. There where already some rumors spreading about her having some ghost following her, most of the people just laughed at the guy who said that but some who where paranoid about mutants or those who where different in any way would give her awful glares as if just daring her to do something to them so they could teach her some kind of lesson. It's not like she woke up one morning and decided 'Hey, I wonna be a freak, it'll be cool', it happened, and considering she loves Fear and he is only trying to help her she wouldn't give him or her powers up for anything, even if it set her apart.. with Fear around, she knew she'd never be alone.

Recently she has also been sensing strange things, the emotions of others, she could feel them, at first it was very disorientating and it still was, she got confused and sometimes thought their emotion was her own. If they where angry she'd find herself grouchy and then trying to figure out what exactly she was upset about. Right now she was rather sensitive towards the emotions of those around her, tending to mimic their state even though she wasn't attempting to do so.

TBC: Anyone - (You don't have to approach me, you may be just visiting the club on your own or with friends, there will be a fight scene a little into the night, if you have someone who you'd like to take part in that fight you can, or if you want to be the reason it starts, you may ask me in the Role Play Forum and give me your reasons and such so I know what's going on, otherwise I will NPC the fight scene myself :) )

Re: Sweet Mistery - A Night Out at the Dying Star
Taylor slowly walked into the Dying Star from the harsh cold of outside, it had been a day since he had arrived at the place known as Xaviers, and since talking with Mark and briefly with one of the Teachers he felt a little more comfortable knowing he now had somewhere to stay. He was to old to be at school now but he had a home of sorts, a place where people like him stayed, he wondered for a moment if he would be able to get a job within the building, his computing skills were impressive, maybe he could teach.

The yellow skinned mutant dismissed his thoughts with a slight wave of his hand, he didn’t want to get to ahead of himself, he hadn’t even drawn up enough courage to go and face his long lost relatives that live in the same mansion. He just hoped that they wouldn’t dismiss him straight away and that would leave him back at square one, he couldn’t stay where he was going too rejected again, like his own parents had done.

The twenty-one year old mutant had covered up well, not only to keep the deep frosty chill of outside from reaching his warm skin, but to also cover up it’s colour, since he had developed the new addition to his power, a far more obvious one, he got some awful looks off of some, as if he was going to suddenly lash out at them in a flurry of mutant anger, and so he now tended to try and cover up what he could, keep his hands in his pockets and head down. Although in this dull light his skin seemed to glow slightly as the flashing lights of the clubs dance floor swam across the room.

Taylor had come to the club to get away from the mansion for a bit, he didn’t want to accidentally bump into his relatives and so had decided to come here and think a little over a drink about what he could do, he slowly crossed the large club that had started to fill with energetic young people, Taylor pulled his coat close around him, his long wavy brown hair drooping down over his face as he proceeded to sit up at the bar on one of the stools that lined it, still not to busy to feel claustrophobic by people urging for more drinks.

Perched on the stool, he glanced around, noticing another near him, a girl, nursing a drink, staring deeply into her lap. Looking back at the barman Taylor ordered a bottle of Blue from the man and paid the required amount, looking at the dwindling amount of money he had, knowing it wouldn’t last much longer. Taking the open bottle he sipped from the top and placed it in front of him, his bright yellow hands now revealed, the barman double glanced at his skin but Taylor didn’t react, he saw no point, now realising he wasn’t going to be able to hide his skin colour if he was to be in here for any length of time he decided to just go all out and unzipped his jacket, hanging in on his chair. His bright yellow toned arms now completely revealed from his dark jacket and plain white t-shirt. Going back to his drink, his emotions flowed over him, worry, fear, panic. What were his family going to think him just turning up like this?

Placing his bottle down again he felt a pair of eyes looking at him, not like the others, the people curious about his ‘abilities’, looking to his side he once again saw the young woman not far from his till nursing her drink, but caught a glance from her, as if she could feel what he was feeling. Taylor quickly looked back down at his drink, his thoughts seeming to pool on its fizzy top, he didn’t want to stare and although still feeling her glances, ignored them as he knew she was looking around a lot, he wasn’t quite so self obsessed to think she would be focusing on him, despite what fickle problems he felt he was harbouring.

Re: Sweet Mistery - A Night Out at the Dying Star
It was hard to ignore the new arrival once it's coat had been removed, at first Angela was amazed he was able to so easily remove his coat to reveal his mutancy, she didn't look different and she still worried about people finding out she wasn't normal. Though she wasn't sure for a while if she was a mutant or if Fear was some ghost that was protecting her, she slowly realized the truth, but there will always be a part of her that considers Fear as some guardian, and not just a fake image of her mind. It was easy to convince herself of this since the small gaseous creature was able to become more solid as well as able to move through things - like people for instance.

A small smile formed on her lips, the club didn't seem so evil now that she had someone who was different so close by, but she found herself filled with a mixture of emotions which where coming from various sources, but his where rather powerful, most where excited, he's were the kind that Angela was able to absorb, soak up his worries and fears, turn them into a weapon to use against him, of course she wouldn't since he hadn't done anything to hurt her.

The feelings soaked through her now, they where intoxicating on the fact that they seeped into every corner of her mind, making her worry, panic and fear though she had no real reason just yet to have such emotions running through her. It wasn't rare for mutants to be miserable, she was discovering this with her new empathy powers, any mutant with obvious mutations normally felt out of place, they had depressed and miserable feelings swirling continuously inside them. It must be hard looking different, she had a hard time fitting in when all she had was a 'friend' hovering around with her, at least she didn't have any visual abnormalities. The empathic mutant glanced rather sympathetically towards the man, her eyes unwillingly looking towards him, even if she didn't look different, she could feel what he felt and so she understood what he was feeling, even if she couldn't really know why he was feeling it.

Angela had to be the only person in the nightclub that had brought a laptop with her, it was in its carry case, a light gray colour with a black strap, all she could think of doing was sneaking off and finish doing up some posts and getting home early to talk with her friends. She was an alright writer, so her friends and her had a lot of fun doing up stories on the internet, you make up a character to be anything you want, then you play that character and have them mingle in the game as if it was real life. Of course you could do anything you want, and a lot of games where based on movies or something people just made up. In the past years of course a lot of people have been getting strange powers and it was like their fantasy worlds where coming to life. Her character was human though, just a simple human trying to fit in with a group of super powered allies. She had a whole lot of characters, but after a while she dropped most of them since she was running out of time and kept only her most active ones.

There wasn't any free tables though, maybe some far at the back, but they where for groups and people tended to look at you rather annoyed if you where one person hogging a group table. Most of her friends that she really liked where people she's never met in real life, it seemed she had more in common with them, at least she was able to spend more time playing with them, most of the people out in her real life where far too busy to want to get to know her. Sure at first Angela hadn't told any of her net friends she was a mutant, but one day she had opened up her own RPG and she wanted everyone to know who and what she was, and she expected everyone else to share their own stories as well, as a better way to get to know the people she chatted with.

Although she was terrified of how they'd respond, most where ok with her being a mutant, some of them where mutants as well! A few felt a little disgusted they had been conversing with a group of freaks but more then one of them who hadn't been too pleased realized they where still the same people they had been for the past year or more for however long they've known each other and where able to accept and get used to the idea, if anything Angela's bold move helped strengthen all their friendships.

Sometimes it made her feel out of place though, as if she was strange for wanting to rather talk with people she's never seen before instead of spending time with other people in 'real life' that she doesn't find half as interesting. Casting another glance towards the yellow man, Angela had just realized she seemed to be fidgeting more nervously with her almost full drink, her eyes darting about her cautiously as if expecting something to happen. Her mind would always try and find a reason why she would feel the way she was feeling when she absorbed other people's emotions, normally it meant trying to figure out what in her life made her feel like that. Right now she half expected someone to see Fear and start trying to hurt him.

But it was that man, with another quick look towards him she wondered why anyone feeling like he was feeling would want to be in a loud place like this. Only her thoughts where interrupted, which was probably a good thing because the guy had caught her staring earlier and he might get annoyed if she unwillingly kept glancing at him... damn her curious and 'need to be helpful' mind!

"Yo, Ang," It was one of the girls she came with, wearing a totally ridiculous top, Amy had been shivering on the way here and was demanding Angela to give her the coat she was wearing! Well Angela would have really, but she didn't like the girl much so she leaned to not allowing herself to freeze to death because this girl wanted to wear revealing things in the middle of winter. She kept looking at Angela's jeans and top as if there was something completely wrong about them, and her eyes had a habit of lingering on the nice dark brown leather belt around Angela's waist. The silver metal buckle of the belt had fake fur of white and black stripes, on the front, so if Angela just wore it with her every day things she would agree it looked weird. But it was casual enough looking to be able to wear with her black top that where a black and white fake leather-like pattern to it. The belt helped match the dark bluish-gray jeans which stood out a little with the hearts on her left thigh that where studded around the edges with goldish bronze metallic studs.

Her coat was long, falling halfway down the back of her calf’s, a soft dull black material on the outside, but the inside was filled with a warm soft gray fluff that made it extra warm for the colder months. It was a female's coat so it was designed to fit the woman's body snuggly, so even though it was a little thick, the special cut made sure not to hide the curves of her body, like some coats tended to do. The coat had been a gift to her from one of her mother's friends, it had been too small for the daughter and Katerina didn't fit into it herself either so she gave it to Angela. Now that the two where living further apart, and Angela was a little older, her mother was treating her much better, but there was still no chance she'd got home, even if she was falling dangerously behind with her rent since her boss had been so horrid in the last place she was working that not only did he under pay her but he was verbally abusive to all his workers. Quitting seemed the sane thing to do.

Which leaves her jobless and moneyless, another reason she had found herself wandering why her new classmates brought her here with such insistence since she told them she doesn't have any money to spend. But after Amy was done staring at Angela's attire - amazed that a girl would wear long sleeved top, pants, black boots without heels and the only form of make up she wore was the dark purple lipstick that had a golden shimmer to it with her purple eye shadow neatly added to her eyelids.

"Um, yeah.. like, the other's where wondering when you'd start having fun," Angela couldn't but think in reply 'Like, when I get outta this place.' in the same snobbish accent she was using. Angela half twisted as the girl grabbed her drink and walked off, watching where she was heading, they where just throwing themselves at any cute guy, even if it was obvious he had little interest in them and would most likely only use then for the night.

"Look at that Fear.." She turned back around to face the bar, rolling her eyes a little before she looked back down at the black gaseous form of her friend that sat cozily on her lap. His bright glowing red eyes peered up at her while she spoke, "We'll start having fun when something fun starts happening." Her statement was followed by a gesture of her hand as she tried to catch one of the waiters attention, pushing forward the drink that she'd been sipping at for hours and yet still looked barely touched at all.

"Coke please." Sure, there was probably lot's of other drinks she'd like much better, but it was like an instinctive request. She hated keeping people waiting, and she didn't like to look at menus too long, even though this place didn't have menus at the bar, so she would stick to her safety drink, blurting out 'Cole Please' even if she felt like something different. But it was a safe bet that all the places had that drink, if she knew a place had milkshakes, which she doubted this place would - though it did, but they where very expensive - she would prefer her chocolate milkshakes when she's bored and feeling like she was.

When she leaned down to reach for her coat pocket which had her money in it, Fear became momentarily visible, the ghostly creature's bright demonic like eyes seemed to slowly turn towards the yellow skinned mutant, mimicking Angela's curiosity towards him. But as soon as he was revealed, the creature was once again covered up as Angela returned to sitting properly, placing some coins out for the young man as he gave her the drink.

"Thank you," She smiled a little until he turned off and ignored her once more, in turn Angela gave her attention back to Fear on her lap "I'd offer you a sip, but you'd spill it everywhere like last time." Teasing him a little, she grinned as she placed her lips on the straw, quietly drinking as she pulled the glass into her hands and closer towards her. If there was one other thing she was sensitive about aside from her appearance and Fear's safety, there was her over cautious attitude towards eating and drinking, as if should she spill a single drop, make the slightest sound or even the tiniest of mess, they'd never let her live it down. Even though if everyone around her was slurping and slopping their food and drinks, she'd still have this paranoid behavior of trying to conduct herself properly, which is strange because no one has ever told her how to eat before, if asked, she'd have no idea where she got this obsessive habit from.

Wiping away any residue lipstick from her straw, as if that was somehow a terrible thing to have there even though nearly ever glass from a woman's drink had lipstick smudges on them. That was another thing she didn't understand, sure girls can look nicer with make up - or totally awful - but why would a guy want to kiss lips that have lipstick on them, they can't possibly enjoy the taste and the added fact they would have lipstick over their own lips. Angela would burst into laugher if she saw any of their dates wandering about with lipstick on their lips, people would have to think they where into that sort of thing!

Re: Sweet Mistery - A Night Out at the Dying Star
Taylor slowly finished his drink, not daring to glance back at young woman who had been looking at him. Maybe she was just another human staring at the yellow mutant, but something told him that this wasn't the same, there was something different about her.

Soon she was swamped by a group of others and then Taylor knew what the difference was; she had friends. Taylor was alone again, since his new visual mutation had come about all that were friends with him had suddenly disappeared, and then he was forced out of his home so now he is miles from anyone that even might have been a friend. Taylor downed the end of his drink and called to the barman for another. As the barman left to get Taylor his new drink, he felt a second pair of eyes on him, again different from any normal person, but again different from the young woman.

As soon as he looked over in the direction of the eyes (actually the same place as the young woman, who now had a laptop beside her) the look was gone, and no one could be seen, all of her friends had gone off to dance again and she was now nursing a new drink, but still alone.

The barman put down the second bottle of drink next to Taylor's hand and without taking his eyes of the woman, he passed the money for it. Something was making Taylor very curious but he couldn't work out what. But he was watching for an instant to long and the womans eyes slipped from her lap and back to his, for a tenth of a second he saw her eyes looking straight back at his and he paniced, quickly he broke his look, and went straight back to his drink. He didn't no what to do, he felt like leaving there and then, but he didn't want to seem more creepy than he might have already looked.

Going back to his drink he sipped, he didn't dare look back again, although something was making him want to see if she was still looking. Or if the other was looking, the one he couldn't see...Maybe I'm not the only mutant in the room he thought to himself Although this thought didn't give him any comfort with his other thoughts; he was still the one alone, and full of worry about returning to his new home.

Re: Sweet Mistery - A Night Out at the Dying Star
Illidan had decided to spend some time away from the mansion, and with it Danae. His thoughts still lingered on her every now and then, though doubts were begging to filter into his mind. He had decided to stop into this club to catch up on the new way of speaking and acting. He had been worried that people would question him on the way because he was wearing a tee-shirt and jeans with black boots, but it didn't matter since he had seen no one on the short walk. When he had arrived he had taken a seat at the back and relaxed, ording a simple drink, never putting it too his lips but he let it sit at his table for the look. He was practically invisible except for the slight glow his marble skin gave off.

Do I really need to be doing this? I've been at the mansion and I rarely left the grounds, I doubt that even if I did leave my mannerisms would matter. Then again, this is part of the fun of being undead. His hand slipped into his pocket, touching the vial of his master's blood that rested there. What should I do master, you were always weak, but you survived, you just never tried to enjoy unlife. This thought brought a smile to his lips. His thoughts were shattered when he saw a yellow skinned mutant take off his coat. So much for escaping the mansion completely. He shrugged, he didn't much care. He ran a hand through his hair, it had been growing, a sign that he had passed the 'puberty' period of his unlife, now his hair grew like a human's unless he commanded it not to, the same went for his finger and toe nails, minor things to most people, but oh so important to a vampire. His thoughts were again interrupted, this time by a pretty young human. She sat down at his table and smiled at him.

"You're glowing you know." Her voice sounded slightly effected by drink.
"I must've had one too many ma cheire." He replied with a roguish smile.
"You're so charming." Now instantly sober, she had made the mistake of looking into Illidan's eyes and he charmed her instantly.
"Ah, alas, I could not compair to your natural charm and grace." He said somberly, filling his voice with regret.
"Let's test that, shall we dance." She said with a giggle. Illidan showed no outward emotion though panic swept through him. He was not sure he could control his abilities to the point that he could dance like a mortal. He had watched every dance tape he could find from this era and memoriesed the movements.
He smiled, "A fitting test." I am up for any challenge these mortals have to offer. He got up and took her hand, leading her to the dance floor. Illidan forced himself to move to the beat. His movements became fluid almost instantly once he got past the inital rigidity. Soon he was bustin' a move with his partner that put all the others dancing to shame. Illidan felt his panic lift and an emotion he never expected to find except durring a hunt. He was enjoying himself, he was actually having fun. "Amazing." He whispered.
