TeeVee
In the lounge room on one of the arms of the couch that was there, Zia was perched in a crouhed position, the balls of her feet being the main source of her balance but the toes curled around the edge of her resting sopt of choice keeping her more stable. It was a bit harder to do in the form she had taken, her having adopted the human form, but she managed without visable problems. The muscle lay out was a bit different but not so much as to cause her complications as far as every day activities. She refused to even think about using it for battle though or even for hunting... If she had used this form while the battle for dominance had been going on the other day between Hank and her, she would have lost at the very start... But for now it was alright.
The prison of miniture people behind the wall of glass who lived there for the sole purpose of entertaining those who watched them had been alive when Zia had wandered into the chamber in which several people tended to gather randomly and being curious, she had taken this spot in which to observe the miniture creatures within the box. As one of the non human creatures, a red furred one with a large nose, large mouth, strange eyes and no ears... held up piece of modern day human writing, she leaned forward. A slight flinch came from her, the wounds from the day before last protesting against her action.
"Today we learn about the letter E!" The creature stated in a strange squeaky voice. Letter? She had seen letters before and they had much more writing than that one symbol. She recognized it as a piece of writing she had seen in almost every jumble of symbols though so maybe a letter in this case was the title of a symbol? Many tended to have the same word to mean different things. "Tell me of this.... letter ee." Zia spoke out to the creature.
"Alright everyone! The letter E is a vowel! Can you say vowel?" The almost annyoing sounding creature asked. Everyone? Zia looked around to find she was the only one in the chamber at the moment. "Vow." She stated with a raised brow. She had thought that a vow was a type of promise. She heard others speak at the same time and squinted slightly to see that the miniture humans inside of the prison with the red furred creature had spoken up at the same time.
"And today's number is three! The creature said, going to another topic. " I know how to count, fool. Go back to the symbols!" Zia ordered. But the creature just went rambling on about the number instead of listening. A small growl came from her and she hopped off of the arm of the couch and onto her feet about to get closer to the prison but a tig at her wounds stopped her, causing her to get distracted and to pause for a moment to look at the bandages. "I will accept ee and vow for now, creature." She stated in cool tones. The images suddenly changed to another place as her foot tapped on the rectangular black stick with the flavorless nubs on it.
"I like it when the beat goes da na da na
Baby make your booty go da na da na
Girl I know you wanna show da na da na
That thong th thong thong thong
I like it when the beat goes da na da na
Baby make your booty go da na da na
Girl I know you wanna show da na da na
That thong th thong thong thong
That girl so scandalous
And I know another nigga couldn't handle it
And she shakin that thang like who's da ish
With a look in her eye so devilish
Uh
She like to dance at all the hip hop spots
And she cruise to the crews like connect da dots
Not just urban she likes the pop
Cuz she was livin la vida loca"
Came strange singing.... or at least she thought it was singing she could not be too sure. The images kept changing making things slightly confusing but the main focus seemed to be the male who was making the song. "Of what.... do you speak.... Speak slower, child... Your words are all strange to me." She told the miniture human that was running around behind the glass. "What is a booty and what do you mean by da na da na... show my thong? What item is this thong and why do you want to see it?" She was confused to say the least. but the male did not stop in his singing to answer her and this made her sit down with a slightly irritated look on her face.
wandering the halls of the school for an eternity of nothingness... itwas not a very thrilling prospect but somehow appeared to be the only thing that Johnson could do, so the former agent had resigned himself to this. wandering aimlessly from the med lab micheal passed by several rooms full of children, he had stoppedby to check on Nick's sword as well, it was so old it was classed more as an artefact than a weapon, and johnson was not about to let it be lost.
but it was safe and sound, Scott had put the weapon safely under lock and key so he need not worry about it any more. but then again there was little else he could do as a ghost, in fact he was not even sure if that was what he actually was. everywhere was so crouded in this place, the former agent had tried to leave already but for some reason as soo nas he got to the city limits he just reappeared back in the foyer of the school, it was as if he were bound to the place.
So seing as he was bound to it he might as well make himself at home, and look after nick in the process, if he concentrated hard enough the former agent could still use his powers and even lift objects a small distance and he knew that both his partner and the doctor had actualy seen him. as he approached the lounge room Johnson wished that he could go in there and sit down like an normal person, but he had tried to sit on the couch a few weeka ago and the results woul have been rather amusing if anyone had been able to see him.
As his train of thought wandered towards the feeling of touch that he had been deprived of for so long now th ghost found himself wandering through the door and into the room... literally, it was a perk of being dead, you never had to open a door again. guess there were some good points to it. " I know how to count, fool. Go back to the symbols!" slowly he looked over towards the couch, there was an attractive woman sitting there staring at the television.. seemingly intrigued by the childs programme she was watching.
"I will accept ee and vow for now, creature." one eyebrow raised he made his way over towards where she was, wondering why the hell she was growling at the television, was she a demoon in disguise. a quick glance at the way that she was staring at the television once the chanel changed gave him the impression that she was not a demon, though there was little he could do even if she was, he was pretty much incapable of touching.
"Of what.... do you speak.... Speak slower, child... Your words are all strange to me. What is a booty and what do you mean by da na da na... show my thong? What item is this thong and why do you want to see it?" a sigh escaped his lips, the sound seemingly undetectable to most people around here "its a television dumbass, they can't hear you.. its not real... and he means your knickers" he mumbled, moving in front of the screen
"not that you're probably wearing any" he added with a glance at her attire "and here's me thinking that i'd get some peace in here..." johnson sighed, concentrating as hard as he could the scren turned black, his eyes moved from the plug in the wall that he had just blown the fuse for to a chair on the other side of the room longingly... it was the only thing he could manage right now to blow a fuse.
Re: TeeVee
At first, the hair on te back of her neck rose and she had the feeling of someone being in the room then came a voice, male. As a ripple came in the air before her, in between herself and the prison, her eyes narrowed and she moved back slightly. There was something there! She had come across things simular to this usually near burial grounds and the like but they had never spoken to her the way this one had."Its a television dumbass, they can't hear you.. its not real... and he means your knickers." She had no clue of what a dumbass was but the tone was enough to tell her it was an insult.
A small growl came from her but she stilled herself remembering the last time she had felt violent. She had been wrong that time and the image of Hank's wounds made her calm herself. "Not that you're probably wearing any... and here's me thinking that I'd get some peace in here..." The prison died, the glass turning black. "I do not know what you speak of when you say nick-ers or domas... But you'd best watch your tone, child, be you spirit or not." She stated coldly, shifting into her true form.
Ah yes, this was much better. Her black rimed flourescent blue green eyes locked onto where she could see several ripples in the air. No doubt that was where the being was. She was more comfortable confronting this barely seen creature anyway while like this. The other form was too helpless for her taste and less able to detect the things she should be able to. She moved into a crouch then from there, stood. Although she wasn't calm, she was not anywhere near panicking or afraid.
She was more of feeling the eyes than seeign them as she locked gazes with the partialy visable person that was there. "I have heard the name of the prison for the miniture people whom exist to entertain those who watch before, so I know the name of it." She told him. "Although I do not know much of this world, if you speak to me as you had when you first came..... I shall show you a part of mine." She stated, accent thick and it being pretty clear that she was struggling with the language.
Re: TeeVee"I do not know what you speak of when you say nick-ers or domas... But you'd best watch your tone, child, be you spirit or not." his gaze drifted from the chair back to the woman, watching with interest as her shape shifted to a more demonic looking creature. Going over her words again in his mind Johnson could not help but to think that she had to be rather lacking in the upstairs department to think that she would be able to effect something that was technically not there, one eyebrow raised in partial scorn.
"I have heard the name of the prison for the miniture people whom exist to entertain those who watch before, so I know the name of it." She told him. "Although I do not know much of this world, if you speak to me as you had when you first came..... I shall show you a part of mine." she was serious wasn't she... the shock of her speaking to him as if he were a real person continued to distract him from the fact that she could actually SEE him. Her accent did not sit right for an American at all, looking over the demonic creature in front of him the ghost wondered whether or not the X men knew that she was not human like the rest of them.
it was not until he looked over at her again, catching her gaze for a moment, that he remembered that not only was he totally incorporeal but that he had not realised the woman actually knew he was there "wait..." he said, sounding rather shocked "you can see me" his excitement could only be missed by a total fool it was that obvious "you can actually see me.... you can hear me....”
There was a lengthy pause as Johnson wondered whether it was just her that could see him or if he had actually gained some form “you have no idea how beautiful it is to actually hear someone talking to you after so long” his normally bored tone had totally disappeared and been replaced by a more emotional one, as if he were about to hug the strange demon looking creature in front of him… if he could that was. “Oh my GOD, do you know how ANNOYING it is when you don’t exist” his voice quick “you can SEE me” he repeated stepping closer to the couch but not too far in case he scared the creature.
Re: TeeVee"Wait...you can see me!" Of course she could see him. How could she miss all of those strange rippled and that outline which broke the normality of the rest of the air. She could no less miss him than miss seeing the ripples caused on water when a stone or another object was thrown into it. There were even the occasional blurrs of color in the form that she halfway saw. He was excited, she coudl hear it in his tone and feel the emotions coming off of him. His kind seemed to be more projective with the emotions they felt... as if being out of their flesh covered forms got rid of the barriers in the way.
"You can actually see me.... you can hear me....” He continued before there came a silent moment. This one was an unusual one indeed. She had almost believed that all spirits were the same but this one seemed accurate in his awareness of those who were in the living... As if he were still alive himself. Maybe that was what was keeping him there? He may have been clinging to life so hard tht even when his body was stripped from him, he still remained to wander as if nothing had happened?
The silence did not last for too long. “You have no idea how beautiful it is to actually hear someone talking to you after so long!" He exclaimed. She could feel more emotions pouring out from the mass of ripples before her. “Oh my GOD, do you know how ANNOYING it is when you don’t exist!?" Actually, not many knew she existed and all that mattered to her was that her mate did. Still, she was trying to get herself to care about being known to others besides the small handful she had come to know while having been with her beloved. And of course, Charles knew her but she wondered if he still did while he was in his slumber.
“you can SEE me” The spirit male stated again but this time, she saw the ripples shift and change as they came closer, an outline showing for a brief moment then a flicker of the male's image before it went back to ripples again. She tensed for a moment, not used to things she can barely see coming towards her like that or even those she could see doing that. She did not attack though, instead, she waited and watched him as closly as she could until he stilled again not too far from her but still close.
"I can hear you clearly but as for sight... you are like water or heat without flames. I have seen your image clearly for a breaths time but that... is when I was seeking to see you." She stated, struggling to get the words right and get the understanding across. "I doubt that no one else can see you. Even with the children of this day, some are not blocked completely and can sense something... Even if it is not much." She commented cooly.
"I am named Zia. And what name do you go by, child?"
Re: TeeVee
her posture was one of a creature that was controling the urge to strike, probably a good idea the former agent thought as the best thing that could come of that would be the total destruction of the television behind his ghostly form as she passed harmlessly through him and fell on it. "I can hear you clearly but as for sight... you are like water or heat without flames. I have seen your image clearly for a breaths time but that... is when I was seeking to see you."
her language was not the best but micheal could understand it well enough, though her accent was leaning towards some form of ancient language, possibly somewhere in north Africa, he would have to ask. "I doubt that no one else can see you. Even with the children of this day, some are not blocked completely and can sense something... Even if it is not much." her words semed as if to reassure him, strange, the beginning of their conversation did lean towards her being rather less polite... threatening to 'show him sone of her world' and acting as if she were about to pounce.
"I am named Zia. And what name do you go by, child?" her question made him think, there was no point in referring to himself as agent Johnson.. he was no longer an agent for a start, and now there was no real need for him to be rpotective over his actual name any more.. he was dead so what did he have to lose?
"Micheal" he said slowly, "my name is Micheal" repeating his name slowly again, trying it out himself. In his mind the conversation was running itself over, there was something in there that was making him think... she had mentioned only seeing him when she wanted to.. or words to that effect. So maybe that was it, Nick had wanted to see the dead man, Hank however was a more difficult one to work out as the doctor had not known much about Micheal, but then again Hank had picked up on nick's thoughts and therefore the desire to see Micheal.
It was a interesting thought to dwel on, perhaps if they could see him if they wanted to enough, then maybe she would see him better if HE wanted it enough. "can you see me better now" slowly the former agent tried to force himself into becoming more visible, not being able to totally make himself solid, chances are she could still be able to see through him. looking down at himself Micheal realised that he was not really looking too good, his clothes rather burned and his skin blackened slightly in places, his hair was likely to be out of place as well, aware of this fact now he quickly brushed it back with one hand.
Her accent was still bugging him as well as the new thoughts over how to make himself visible to people and able to affect things in some way. but for now that could wait as Micheal felt sure that he would be able to speak to the doctor about it, he seemed clever enough to work it out, no the more important thig was how to get a coherent conversation out of the woman, see if she knew anything that could prove useful to him, after all this Zia could see him. "what is your native language... i had to learn demonic and dead languages in order to understand my enemies... chances are i may know yours" he paused "you seemed to be strugling somewhat with mine" he added not wanting to seem like he was forcing her.
Re: TeeVee"Can you see me better now?" The spirit named Michael asked her. Zia watched him as he flickered into view as he had a moment before. Of course, she had been paying more attention to actually trying to see him when he had asked her. For a moment, she gave herself Human eyes to see him return to only a slight ripple in the air before she switched them back and was able to see him again.
"I can see you when I bring myself to care.... no, that is not the word..... to try to see you while as I am now. While in the form within a Human body, you are like the wave of heat rising from the sands of the barrenlands." She told him. "Hmm.... heat..." She paused for a moment as she thought. "You look of one who.... had passed through flames." She stated with a small nod.
"What is your native language... I had to learn demonic and dead languages in order to understand my enemies... Chances are I may know yours..... you seemed to be strugling somewhat with mine." Zia's eyes had narrowed at the mentioning of demons then went back to normal at the comment about learning it for the purpose of better understanding his enemies. For a moment, she had thought that he was about to try to tell her that she was a demon.
"My first tongue spoken was that of the Human Pharos old...... Land of beginning... A few Humans still speak it but it is.... hmm the word...." She paused as she thought, looking over her vocabulary list in her mind. "Ah yes... but it is butchered by them. Although, my mate Hank is getting better as he speaks with me when we are together." She replied. "It is better that I.... make do with this tongue than have to try to..... understand.... the words you speak in my own tongue." She told him.
Re: TeeVee"My first tongue spoken was that of the Human Pharos old...... Land of beginning... A few Humans still speak it but it is.... hmm the word...." her first language was ancient egyptian, that was a bit of a shame for whilst he could understand it well enough the dead man was not very fluent. "Ah yes... but it is butchered by them. Although, my mate Hank is getting better as he speaks with me when we are together. It is better that I.... make do with this tongue than have to try to..... understand.... the words you speak in my own tongue."
"fair enough, good thing really" he spoke pacing a bit out of irritation at not being able to sit down "i'm not so good with the speaking of egyptian..." he continued stopping his pacing and looking directly at her "but i can understand the language if it would make conversation easier" it was more a question than the statement it was set out like. the chances are though that if she struggled with language then she might have problems seeing what was and what was not a question.
going back to her former words about him passing through flames Micheal winced rembering the last moments of his life, it was not exactly something that he was ready to discuss in full length right now. "guess this is what i looked like when the flames hit, before the explosion tore me to pieces" his voice slow and quiet, hopefully she would take the hint that it was a delicate subject
"so, Dr Mcoy is your mate then.." he asked, quickly changing the subject to avoid any upset to himself as there was no real way of him venting his frustration. "He's a clever man, but he has a severe problem in his med bay, Nick will not be an easy fix... there was too much done to our bodies and minds for us to survive alone, and its not like Nick can tell him whats wrong" he sighed at his former friends condition, whilst the Ghost was doing the best he could to keep Nick sane the doctor was the only real hope that the agent had to stay sane.
Re: TeeVee"Fair enough, good thing really... I'm not so good with the speaking of egyptian..." Well, at least he admitted to not being a professional at it. It would have been annoying if he pretended to know it fluently and as well as herself only to try to speak it and make an fool of himself. It had been since back in the days she lived in that area of the world that she had heard it spoken as it should be. She missed it... But at least there were few that still understood it even if they could not speak it beyond the yammering of a youngling just learning to utter words.
"But I can understand the language if it would make conversation easier." Micheal stated. She listened closely to what he was saying, trying to make sure she had the right understanding. Was he suggesting that she speak her tongue while he spoke his? That may have a chance of being workable. That way they can both keep from murdering the language they were trying to speak and both have mutual problems translating. She would leave her modern human talk practice for later.
"Guess this is what I looked like when the flames hit, before the explosion tore me to pieces.... so, Dr Mcoy is your mate then.." His topics had changed quickly confusing her for a moment as the translation mushed everything together for several seconds before catching up and helping her to understand. He had changed it because it had been uncomfortable for him. She could understand that. She would not have wanted to dwell on her own death either if it ever came.
"He's a clever man, but he has a severe problem in his med bay, Nick will not be an easy fix... there was too much done to our bodies and minds for us to survive alone, and its not like Nick can tell him whats wrong" Michael told her. It was as if a jolt went through her as she heard the first part of his words. "There is danger to my beloved? You speak of a problem, one that is severe..." She spoke out the question a bit defensively, tempted to go seek out her mate to make sure he was alright.
"What of this Nick? Of both of your minds, your bodies? I do not understand... First tell me if there is threat to my mate then explain more on what you speak of." She said, speaking in her first language the whole time. She spoke rapidly ina couple of the spots, having gotten excited without realizing it.
Re: TeeVee"There is danger to my beloved? You speak of a problem, one that is severe..." he words were defensive, her body seeming to tense in a maner that the former agent associated with the preparatin to strike. inside he sighed, the woman, creature... whatever she was clearly had mistaken his words for a warning about a threat to her mate and this was her defense reaction. The conversation was flowing a bit better now he noticed, her speaking in her native language was a lot less broken and her words were no longer stumbled over, plus it gave the ghost a good refresher course in ancient egyptian.
"What of this Nick? Of both of your minds, your bodies? I do not understand... First tell me if there is threat to my mate then explain more on what you speak of." well at least she was being reasonable about it rather than just running off and attacking Nick thinking he was going to harm Hank. Micheal slowly lowered himself so he was in a sitting position on the floor near the couch, as if he were leaning on the front of it
"there's nothing for you to worry about, i meant a severe medical problem" his tone as calming as possible without sounding as if he were being patronising "anyway, at the moment i have to admit that he could not hurt anyone if he wanted to, his senses are all shot to pieces... only thing he's likely to hurt is himself, guess thats why i'm here" his sentance ended in a sigh, for a while he had been somewhere... but had been torn away as soon as his former fighting partner returned to this world.
"as for the explanation about... how long you got?" the ghost turned his head sideways to face her, one eyebrow raised... did she really want to know about their past, it was rather complex "i mean, its not exactly easy to simplify... and there are bits that i'd rather not talk about.. the shortest version is that Nick and i were partners in an organisation that dealt with demons in another world... and he's in the med bay because his mind is slowly self destructing the rest of him".
Re: TeeVee"The passing of moments is no issue with the likes of myself. You can tell the full thing." She told him. "Another world? Are you speaking of the world beyond or do you speak of the Other-Lands?" Zia asked. With the language of the Humans of this time, there were so many things that they said that had multiple meanings. So many sayings and terms. It was much simpler when people said what they really meant instead of trying to pretty up their sentences with more words and things that made no sense.
"You speak of his mind destroying him.... This Nick person... Do you speak of his mind losing itself or do you mean another thing?" She asked before looking towards the entry way. Someone was approaching it. Slowly, a young female stepped through. The child looked timid. More so than many she had come across. "It seems that we have another arrival." Zia stated to the Michael spirit.
"Um..... hello Amber spoke softly, pausing at the doorway. She had heard talking in a strange language that she had never heard anyone speak before and since she was still trying to get to know the people she was living with, she had went to introduce herself. She had expected to see more than one person there but there was only one. A woman in a loincloth of all things... but that wasn't the strangest of it all by all means... The woman was black... Not African but actually black like coal or onyx... And there were designs in the same glowing color as her eyes.
The woman, spoke, not looking at her and Amber looked to see no one there. She then looked at the woman again, wondering if she was able to speak English... At the same time, she wondered if the person was sane. After all, to Amber, it looked like the woman was talking to thin air. "My... My name is Amber... I'm new here." She continued with her greeting although she was more nervous than she had been before.
"The passing of moments is no issue with the likes of myself. You can tell the full thing." Great, she had the time… but did he have the inclination to explain the whole gruesome story. . "Another world? Are you speaking of the world beyond or do you speak of the Other-Lands?"“Well…” he did not get a chance to continue speaking before she cut in again with more questions… she was an inquisitive one that was for sure.
"You speak of his mind destroying him.... This Nick person... Do you speak of his mind losing itself or do you mean another thing?" Michael took a moment to think things over, how best can he explain the situation without causing any more confusion. “ok, Its complicated, he’s suffering from severe mental trauma and stress brought on through uncontrollable telepathic activity. This is becoming more regular an occurrence and is slowly causing him to lose not only his mind but control over his body”
a noise outside of the door caused the woman thing to turn her head and glance towards it, standing quickly and turning towards the door himself Michael could sense someone outside as well, their body making its way to the open doorway and entering "It seems that we have another arrival." The ghost glanced over the newcomer, a girl with a rather confused look on her face "Um..... hello” Michael slowly walked around the newcomer “she can’t see me, chances are she thinks you were talking to yourself just then” he spoke to Zira whilst inspecting the girl
“And to make it worse you are black with glowy bits and were speaking in Ancient Egyptian… she’s thinking you’re a lunatic right now, either that or a monster” his mind could still pick up on thoughts, he had realised this a while ago but his powers had diminished since the separation of him and Nick… though the other agent had always been the stronger as far as powers were concerned. “I’d speak to her in English the best you can if I were you, she’s slightly nervous” he didn’t think about asking for permission to intrude on someone’s mind now, after all they couldn’t see him anyways
Re: TeeVee"Not many can see the dead. I have only ran into a very few that have even claimed it and that is in the whole time that I have been roaming the lands." She stated in reply to Michael's comment about the girl not seeing him. "It does not matter that she believes I am speaking to myself, I can just tell her of what I was doing if I cared to even bother with explaining myself." Zia told him cooly.
“And to make it worse you are black with glowy bits and were speaking in Ancient Egyptian… she’s thinking you’re a lunatic right now, either that or a monster.... I’d speak to her in English the best you can if I were you, she’s slightly nervous” The spirit said to her. Zia gave a slight huff to show that she was disregarding some of his words. "I can tell that she is uneasy without someone saying that she is. Her body expresses it all and her eyes tell me of what she thinks." Zia commented.
"You there, child." She began, turning to the girl once more. Zia shifted into her human form, to make it easier for the girl but ti seemed to surprise the child, the child's eyes widening and her looking a little confused for a moment before relaxing some. "You know of Mutants, yes?" Zia questioned, giving a raised brow. At the girl's nod, she continued. "Well, neither I or that spirit over there in which you seem to have no sensing ability of are such." Zia said in the bluntness that very few were known to pull off.
Amber was being surprised almost every turn of the minute with this person. First she was talking to the couch in some strange language, then she turned normal looking... although her clothes still looked like something from the movies, then she was telling Amber that she wasn't a mutant and that there was a spirit in the room. Honestly, Amber didn't know how to react.
"Um.... Excuse me?" She asked, confused and timid. "If.... if you're not a mutant than what are you? And... there's a spirit here? You can see dead people?" Amber asked, tilting her head to the side in confusion. "My race has no name... and yes, I can see them. In fact, he is standing right there beside you." At that comment, Amber jumpped slightly and looked over at where the woman had jestured towards, her eyes wide and face a little pale. She wasn't sure on how comfortable she felt about a dead person just standing there beside her. "H-h-hi?" She stuttered out.
Re: TeeVee"I can tell that she is uneasy without someone saying that she is. Her body expresses it all and her eyes tell me of what she thinks." The woman, now a black creature, was beginning to descend into a rather blunt and rude state. Michael could only put this down to her not being very good with more than one person in a conversation; he deduced from her demeanour that she was not overly furnished with people skills.
“only trying to help” he muttered circling the newcomer, his eyes on the dark creature mostly though. The ghost had already decided that he was not going to read her mind just yet, only enough to understand whether or not she was a danger to anyone… for now that was not the case. "You there, child. You know of Mutants, yes?" it was a question to which the answer was obvious without having to read her mind, it was clear that if she were at the school she would know of mutants, otherwise she would probably have freaked at the sight of the black creature by the sofa.
He did not make his thoughts clear though, rather keeping to himself as much as possible so as not to aggravate the woman, if she was having trouble dealing with people then it was best not to add to this by speaking over her, his face too showed little sign f his thoughts, something that they had learnt early on in training in the order. "Well, neither I or that spirit over there in which you seem to have no sensing ability of are such." Not entirely true he thought to himself, now standing next to the girl, he was a mutant when he was a live so didn’t that technically mean he was still one now that he was dead?
It was just as micheal had expected "Um.... Excuse me? If.... if you're not a mutant than what are you? And... there's a spirit here? You can see dead people?" the girls reply was full of confusion, not that she wasn’t within her rights to be confused… after all she had just walked in on a pitch black woman standing by the sofa in a strange manner and talking to the air by the side of her in a strange language.
If he could speak to the girl in a reassuring manner the ghost would have done so, but there was no way of her hearing his voice right now even if he tried. "My race has no name... and yes, I can see them. In fact, he is standing right there beside you." Oh great The words let slip from his mouth quietly before he let out a sigh and dragged a hand down his face in a manner as if to say 'i cant believe you just did that'.
Turning to look at the girl he could sense her shock and possibly fear at being told that there was a spirit standing right next to her, if only he could calm the situation but all he could think of doing right now was beating some sense into the woman… that had to be singularly the worst thing she could have done right now with such a nervous person.
“what did you say that for?” he sighed in a disappointed voice with one eyebrow raised over the rim of his dark glasses “the poor girls clearly confused and nervous and you go and tell her that there’s a dead guy standing next to her…” he walked over to Zira slowly, doing his best not to give the impression of him being aggressive towards her for it seemed that she was probably not so good at dealing with people in a rational manner, instead relying on emotions and feelings to deliver a response to situations.
Looking over at his shoulder at the girl by the door he sighed again, she was still confused poor girl. “ok, damage done” the words were quick as he walked to the other side of the sofa… through both it and Zira “no harm in her knowing I guess… but you have to understand that most people do not see the world like we do and some things just freak them out” Michael explained keeping eye contact with the woman through the dark glasses that covered his eyes “you said that the passage of time means nothing to you… can I offer to fill some of that time with lessons on how to converse with people… being as I have nothing better to do”
Re: TeeVee
Amber watched as the woman spoke again in that strange language to the invisible figure that seemed to be wandering about the room. The wandering being given away by the fact the woman was apparently watching the ghost as she spoke to it. Amber wondered if she had somehow been rude to the ghost person, not understanding a word of what the woman was saying and not even trying to pick out any words anymore. Since she didn't know what was going in, she just stood there and waited, trying to get her gaze to follow the woman's so not to be ignoring the invisible man.
"I said it because it is the truth." Zia replied to Michael's question about why she had said what she had. "I do not steep myself to a Human's level to speak untruths." She added. y that for?” he sighed in a disappointed voice with one eyebrow raised over the rim of his dark glasses “the poor girls clearly confused and nervous and you go and tell her that there’s a dead guy standing next to her…” He told her. "Well, you are a dead man and you were standing beside her. Mayhaps if she knew where you were, she would be able to actually try to see you and be one of those very few that actually could due to focusing on you." Zia replied, her tone chilled due to her rising irritation.
“Ok, damage done... no harm in her knowing I guess… but you have to understand that most people do not see the world like we do and some things just freak them out” Zia rose a brow, slightly confused, her mind not translating soem of what he had said. "Freak them out?" She repeated the words in his tongue, not understanding the term.
“You said that the passage of time means nothing to you… can I offer to fill some of that time with lessons on how to converse with people… being as I have nothing better to do” The spirit stated. "Yes, I do need to learm more of the modern Human actions and word knitting." She commented.
Re: TeeVee"Yes, I do need to learm more of the modern Human actions and word knitting."*You sure do* he thought silently, the woman had not only been rather blunt to the point of rudeness to the poor girl that had stumbled on the pair, but had also not seemed to be able to string together any form of sentence properly. It took the former agent quite a while to understand some of her speech in the conversation and it would appear to be the same for her when people spoke in English.
“right, first things first this girl would probably benefit from a better explanation as to what’s going on here…” he glanced over her confused expression and awkward posture by the door still “why don’t you invite her to sit down first, and tell her not to worry about trying to look at me, I’m not too bothered about her seeming rude” he added the last part seeing that the girl was following Zira’s gaze as best as she could without being able to see him, his mind picking up on her worry. He was not surprised that she was worried, being able to see into people’s minds he was familiar with peoples fears and worries and reactions to certain situations.
Out of interest Michael walked over to Amber slowly, passing through the couch again as he did so. “People say they can feel ghosts sometimes… wonder if that’s true” he mused out loud, quickly moving his had as if he were repeatedly slashing the air… only he was not slashing the air, his hand was passing through the girl. There was no feeling for him, but he had not expected there to be any, he didn’t feel anything any more but he guessed that was to be expected when you’re dead and comprised entirely of light… or whatever it was that he was now made from.
“by the way, this is not a good idea unless you’re dead” he shot a sideways glance over towards Zira, his tone displaying it as a joke but he was not exactly sure that she would be able to see it that way as the woman was not familiar with the language or the way that people spoke.
Re: TeeVee
She listened as the spirit spoke and watched as he sliced his hand through the girl several times. “by the way, this is not a good idea unless you’re dead” Michael commented after he finished. The corner of Zia's lip curled in a ever so slight smirk. She had done that before... Passed her hand through a Human's body... just not as smoothly or cleanly but it had been done. Needless to say though, that person she had done it to did not survive...
She had taken pleasure in the man's death for he had deserved it. Not that she could remember why exactly or who, or where, or when but the memory had come all the same and so had the feeling of that brief moment. The memory was so vivid that she could almost feel the hot blood dripping down her hand, smell it in the air, and hear the body collapsing onto the ground judged and lifeless. Satisfaction in knowing that he would never rise again. Nor would the companions he had brought with him and who had met the same fate in different ways.
Zia gave a slow blink then looked over at the young girl for a moment before speaking. "You are invited to take a seat on the sitting platform there. Also, the Michael spirit would like for you to know that you should not worry about.... making sight with him." She stated.
Arisa felt a bit uneasy, not sure of what was going on. She could feel some changes in the woman's chemicals but it was strange, she couldn't tell what emotions the dark figure before her was feeling. She hadn't had that happen with anyone before. Although not being able to decide on the emotions the woman may or may not be feeling made her uneasy, Arisa walked into the room all of the way and took a seat on the couch.
"How did you want the explaining. I would think the child would understand the truth but you are not satisfied with that means of things." Zia commented to the ghost, slipping back to her native tongue.
Re: TeeVee
Maybe it was best if Michael did not do that again, her smirk at his action of passing his hand through the girl was not a good one to be having, she seemed to be enjoying the thought way too much. He began to wonder what she actually was, I mean she had seemed a bit anti when he had mentioned demons earlier but then again her actions and transformations did point towards some form of demonic entity.
"You are invited to take a seat on the sitting platform there. Also, the Michael spirit would like for you to know that you should not worry about.... making sight with him." Great, she was making very little sense right now, it was like having to talk through a translator that couldn’t speak either language. But still she was the best he had and it was not like the woman was not trying her best to be a go between.
That did not seem to stop the girl from seeming nervous around her, but what else could be expected, after all she was talking about ghosts and spirits that amber could not see, that alone is enough to make most people nervous to some extent. Walking back through the couch the spirit slumped down to the floor once again; this whole thing was tiring… or would be if he actually got tired.
Sitting in silence for a moment Michael looked over both of the women in the room as the younger girl walked over and sat on the sofa, Zia did seem rather aggressive, maybe she was not intending to be but it was there for all to see and he was beginning to worry that she might be a harder pupil to teach in the art of conversation than he had expected.
"How did you want the explaining. I would think the child would understand the truth but you are not satisfied with that means of things." Thinking the question over for a second he noted the slip back into her native tongue, also noting that her speech was much better in her own language than in his, that was workable though. “ok, sometimes the truth has to be… sugar coated…” he paused, not really knowing if she would understand the phrase “I mean its as if the truth is a punch and you have to soften it slightly so as to protect the person from harm, only in the case of words the harm is emotional”
that had to make sense surely?? Well hopefully it would “ok so you tell her the truth but explain it slowly and nicely, but not being patronising or treating her like a little child… so starting with a explanation of who you are, and then maybe mentioning me, and that you are talking to me in your native language, oh and do reassure her that you are not mad” he finished, awaiting her response to the girl.
Re: TeeVee“ok, sometimes the truth has to be… sugar coated…” If the spirit expected her to understand the term he was spouting out, he was sorely mistaken. He seemed to realize this as he continued speaking. “I mean its as if the truth is a punch and you have to soften it slightly so as to protect the person from harm, only in the case of words the harm is emotional” He told her. That made just about as much sense.
"If I am punching, I do it with reason and I would not hold back. Why would I punch a person I am trying to protect if I were to use such a form of an attack?" She demanded, her tone getting frosted from her growing irritation about the whole situation. Why couldn't he just say things straight forward instead of speaking of strange occurances? Why could he not speak out the truth and the point? "I am not like you children. I do not run about attacking for no reason and when I do attack, it is not with the intention to protect the one I am fighting." Zia added.
“ok so you tell her the truth but explain it slowly and nicely, but not being patronising or treating her like a little child… so starting with a explanation of who you are, and then maybe mentioning me, and that you are talking to me in your native language, oh and do reassure her that you are not mad”
Zia gave out a small growl, her markings painting themselves onto the human form for a moment before they crept back out of sight once more. "She is a little child and if I were angry, both of you would know it and know it well." She stated, her tone still frosted and her baring her teeth slightly. "Mayhaps it would just be better if you just spoke for yourself." Zia stated, crossing her arms. "You are a spirit, are you not? I will allow you to use my body as I have heard of spirits using the bodies of humans... if you are able to. If not then just speak your words and I will copy your mouth-sounds." She told him.
Amber bit her lower lip a little as she watched the woman's half of the conversation. She seemed mad and that intimidated her. What was going on? Even the woman's tone was starting to creep her out some.. not as much as the echoing effect that the voice had while the woman had been in her less human looking body but it still caused Amber to hug herself slightly. She hoped that the woman wasn't mad because of her... Not knowing what else to do, Amber smiled. The smile was one she hoped would calm the woman and that would show the woman she meant no harm.
Re: TeeVee
The growling was a disturbing thing, not to Michael as he was totally safe from anything that this creature could do to him but the girl did not seem very happy about the whole thing "She is a little child and if I were angry, both of you would know it and know it well."
Her mood was definitely becoming more and more angered and Michael could not help but think that maybe he had been right in his original assumption that she could be demonic in origin. . "Mayhaps it would just be better if you just spoke for yourself." He glared at her, how the hell did she expect him to do that? He didn’t have a form, he was not even a disturbance in the air that she could barely see… how exactly did she expect him to make himself heard by someone who couldn’t detect him at all.
"You are a spirit, are you not? I will allow you to use my body as I have heard of spirits using the bodies of humans... if you are able to. If not then just speak your words and I will copy your mouth-sounds." Staring at her with an expression that could easily be associated with someone who was being threatened, but not an intimidated look. “I don’t think that will be possible, or necessary” he stated in a matter of fact way, moving so his body was between her and the girl as he would normally do to protect someone.
“And I would suggest that you change your tone and mannerisms around the ‘little child’ as you so put it” his voice was as if he were a teacher talking to a pupil that was misbehaving “can you not see that your actions and tone is upsetting her” he motioned towards Amber with one hand quickly, still staring at Zia with constant eye contact.
He knew that she was probably a dangerous creature if she wanted to be, but even though the spirit had no body or form whatsoever to shield the girl with he did still have his mind. he had by now assumed that her mind worked much the same way as that of a pack animal, you just had to show who was in charge “now sit DOWN” his raised voice and shouted last word was accompanied by the swift movement of his right hand towards the woman, his mind pushing her into a chair behind her quickly and holding her there. he knew that this would be regrettable to him later on as it was rather draining on his ghostly body.
Re: TeeVee
As she was forced into a sit, she gave a small snarl at the spirit. All of her markings came to life, painting over her body rapidly and blackness filling in the spaces in between. The human body shifted swiftly into her original one. The energy that resided in her body caused it to almost hum but not quite on an audible level. Had she been able to get up, she may have even tried to see if her energy had an effect on him; her using it for the first time in centuries. "Release me at once or I shall make you unexisted. Not slay you but I shall make myself unaware of you and you will be once more, unknown." She hissed out.
Zia might have had a good deal of feralness to her but she also had the ability to think on a level beyond animal from time to time if she wanted to. Having been around for several millenia did that to a person. No one could stay the same for all of that time even if they wanted to. She had tried though. Had she tried... But the passing of the ages called for change and she could not deny it. But even if she had changed, it did not mean she was a dolicile being by far.
At the moment, even while she was being made to remain sitting, there was nothing dolicile about her. She had the eyes of a cougar that had just been caged and that was ready to slash out at the ones who had captured it. She was looking in that way towards Michael but the girl apparently seemed to think that the look was directed towards her as she paled a good amount and shrank in her seat some. Zia did not take the time to even bother with explaining herself to the child though. She may or may not later... Most likely leaning towards the may. But that was due to Hank's influence on her. She allowed herself to be influenced by Hank due to his being her mate and due to the way he did things. This spirit on the other hand... he annoyed her and she was resisting him now.
Amber swallowed hard and shrank down in the couch she had been sitting on. She didn't know what was going on but it was scaring her even though she gave a small smile in an attempt to calm the woman. "Um.... maybe I should leave the two of you alone? It looks like a bad time...." She spoke out a little timidly.
