The Beginning of a New Threat...
Alice stepped out of the lift that brought her back to her gundam. Standing in front of it she stared up at it, it was fully outfitted, fully armed, and fully operational once again. It had been litterally weeks since the last time she had entered the cockpit and looking over herself she made sure her suit was sealed properly, and grabbing up her helmet off of the ground next to the cord that will take her up to the suit, she placed it on her hip and put on foot around the bottom of the cord.
She went up and arrived on the platform that extends from the front and looked into the small room holding control panels, joysticks, and a seat designed to fit her curves and size. Stepping in she looked forward at the opposite side or the hangar.
She put her helmet in her lap and place on her head the comlink and pulled the stick on the door down to cause it to automatically close the front and seal the cackpit from the outside. As this happened she heard the doors seal, the oxygen get cut off for a moment, and then filter in from the tanks located far below. She set the helmet down in a small glovebox located under her seat right next to outdoor and space supplies just incase.
The display came on and the cams started up. A whir of moving machines began around her, and the room began to light up. She rolled her hands along a few of the control panels to get it all started up and everything came online.
"This is the Black Phoenix, awaiting launch authorization." Alice said through the comlink. After a few seconds a voice came back.
"Runway clear, take number 4. Happy hunting Black Phoenix." The voice said. Alice smiled and ran her fingers along the throttle stick.
"All systems green...Launching now." The sound of the engines came fast, and the platforms spun her around fast, she was now aiming at the fourth hanger which was wide open now. The red glare of the sun coming from outside and the dull endless desert of Mars was in front of her.
The Gundam flew out of the hanger nearly a mile above the ground and began to fall. The wings opened and the thrusters heated up, and before she knew it, she was airborn heading for the outer area to head into the east city to complete her first mission back.
"To defend the city, Mission Comencing now, ETA fifteen minutes."
