The Center - New day, New Threat
The commander's eyes glared over the arriving agents as they flooded into the large hall, by his side stood two women, motionless like statues as they watched those that gathered.
Destiny:"A new threat has been unleashed on this world."
Trinity:"4 hours, 23 minutes ago a rift in space was established between two worlds."
Commander Halliwell:"As a result, we have 3 powerful demons on the loose!"
He yelled out, obviously disgusted with this.
Destiny:"Most of you should be aware of them from your studies."
Trinity:"Subject one has been classified as Hostile 8; Angelus, other alias Angel, vampire, highly dangerous and to be destroyed on sight. Hostile 18; Drusilla, Vampire, to be destroyed on sight. 3rd target, Hostile 17; Spike, other alias, William the Bloody, Vampire, target has been dealt with."
The cyborg's smooth, unwavering voice spoke out loud and clearly for all to hear, the commander was relatively young, in his late 30's perhaps, but his stern expression continued to stare across the faces of the agents.
Destiny:"A group will be sent out tomorrow to Xavier's Institute, another group will be sent off to hunt down the whereabouts of these other dimensional threats."
Trinity:"The groups have already been chosen, Jon Haloway, James Couven, Joan Cortez, you three will be on the mission to Xavier's."
Commander Halliwell:"The rest of you get yourselves suited up for a Seek out and Destroy !
Destiny:"The three Agents called out earlier are under the command of Trinity and myself, our mission to Seek and Restrain."
Although they didn't show a flicker of emotion, the part vampire couldn't help but feel a tingle of emotion inside her as she continued to speak. Riley may be going against orders...but he was only trying to be noble, and Destiny admired that in the human boy.
Destiny:"Special Agent Riley Finn is being recalled."
Trinity:"The security in the perimeter of the school he is stationed at is highly advanced, as a result we will have to delay the capture of Riley Finn until the systems have been deactivated."
Commander Halliwell:"You five will leave for Xavier’s in exactly 40 hours! Make sure to get plenty of rest!"
The commander left, yet the other two women stayed.
Destiny:"...Any questions before lights out?"
How can we search for life, when all we've known is death?
Jon stood near the back wall, his eyes more on the back of Joan's head, than the commander infront of him. James was standing close to him, almost behind him, trying to use the bigger built man to hide himself from the masses infront of him.
Jon folded his arms, the defensive position helping him feel more secure in the room full of strangers. Her heard his name being called and his eyes flew to the commander. Riley Finn that was his name, Riley, his room mate. He wondered what the boy had being doing at the school and why he was being recalled.
He looked at trinity, she might be a cyborg but she was hot, he wouldn't mind working for her and by the sounds of things he would get to spend some time with Joan, this was just getting better and better. He couldn't keep a small smile from venturing over his lips.
'Why was Finn there?' He said when the offer of questioning was presented to him.

Re: The Center - New day, New Threat
The question caused Joan to turn her head slightly towards Jon before her gaze swiftly returned up to the Cyborg and Demon.
Trinity:"Undercover Operative."
Destiny:"Riley was assigned to the school to keep a watch over the gathering of mutants, some concerns where raised that the head master might be raising an army. So far all we can tell if he trains the mutants in use of their powers as well as educates them and offers them a place to live."
Trinity:"Operatives are to return to their sleeping quarters and ready for light out."
The hybrid watched as the two higher ranked operatives turned and walked off, folding her arms in a fashion that hinted she had other ideas. Turning around, facing both James and Jon with a sweet smile that made it almost impossible for people to assume she had demonic DNA in her genetic structure.
Joan:"Looks like we're going out together."
She mused teasingly as she stepped closer to the boys, but then stepped over towards James, her eyes studying his face.
Joan:"Most operatives are human..."
Her tone was soft and smooth as she continued to study over his face and the waves of emotion flowing from his body.
Joan:"...But you're not."
She stated simply as she tilted her head slightly to the side.
Joan:"Be proud, be strong, stand tall, who you are is far more important then what you are."
Turning about, her arms in one smooth motion looping threw both Jon's and James’s arms.
Joan:"I'll walk you boys back to your rooms."
She informed them graciously with a proud smile caressing her lips.
Re: The Center - New day, New Threat
Jon watched the pair walk off .... lights out? He felt like he was back at summer camp. In his log cabin with the other boys, eating sweets they had smuggled in and chasing the rings of bright light around from the other boys flash lights with his own. Those days had been fun, long afternoons in the open air, no stuffy classrooms, learning with your hands and by experience.
He watched as Joan approached James, rather like a spider teasing a small fly caught in it's web, he saw James take half a step backwards.
He quite liked the fact that she was assertive, Bekki usually let him make all the descisions and she hardly stood up to anyone, that was more Cat's department and maybe Nina's. Those girls had more spirit than he liked and at times they had been the cause of all five of them getting into more than one scrape.
He felt the warmth of her smile upon him and looked down at her as she looped her arm through his, he wasn't about to try and stop this attractive woman linking arms with him if she wanted to. He looked down at her, making a sudden split descision. He didn't need Bekki anymore, she had no use, she wasn't here and he wasn't going back, she was tying him down.
A angry surge flowed through him, he was angry with Cat, she had jsut vannished off the face of the earth and she had been ignoring him, yes he would tell Bekki but that wasn't all he was going to tell her.
He closed his arm slightly tighter around Joan's and smiled down winningly at her, she was so captivatingly sweet, he wanted her to be on his tropy shelf as it were. Like Bekki where he could show her, so he could say look what I've got to other men. He gave a chuckle as he spoke.
'I gladly accept Joan.' His smile broadened. 'I'm not sure I could find my way back, perhaps you could give me a guided tour when we get back from Xaviers?' There was a hint in his voice that he would like a guided tour of more than just the general building. The subtle meaning he knew would go straight over James' head, the boy didn't look like he had even seen a woman before and something lilke what he had just suggested was too subtle for him to pick up on. He knew it could be possible to hold one converstation amongst the three of them, yet for him and Joan to be holding another one at the same time.

Re: The Center - New day, New Threat
As Joan threaded through James' arm, he felt a rush of a strange feeling, but that was abruptly cut short as he noticed that his sleave was being pulled up his arm as Joan walked beside him, each of her steps drove the sleave up his arm, as the three left the centre the sleave was exposing one of the network of plugs that were dotted over his body.
James haddn't noticed the fact that the plug was exposed until Joan flinched as the crude black metal implant scraped upon her skin, James imeadiately withdrew his arm, and tugged the sleave back down covering the metal plug,
"I...I....I'm S..S..Sorry" James blurted as panic ran through him causing a surge of energy to run through him, the lights in the corridors droped into darkness, the whole corridor was plunged into darkness for a few moments before the darkness faded away, Joan and John looked about, but James could not be seen, he had ran off in a mix of fear and blind panic, he did not mean to hurt any one, but yet he did not mean for his abnormality to hurt any one either.

Re: The Center - New day, New Threat
The hybrid glanced down at the cut that run along her arm, then, with a simple thought, her body began to repair the damage done to it. It was more like a tickle when she was cut, so she wasn't upset and didn't show any sign of emotion other then curiosity as to where James had gone.
The black out didn't effect Joan, her eyes instantaneously adjusted to the light and dark so she had perfect vision, yet her eyes where down cast towards the tiny wound that run along her arm.
Her eyes pulled away from the scratch, which instantly healed and looped her arm back into Jon's with an exaggerated sigh.
Joan:"Honestly, you'd think he tore my arm off the way he's acting."
And still, that wasn't something that worried Joan, since her demonic DNA could replicate missing limbs, even if it was the head that was missing.
She flashed a bright smile as she gently rested her head against Jon's shoulder with another sigh of exasperation.
Joan:"You really should teach that boy to relax.."
Her words spoken with a joking tone before lifted her head up and coyly studying his suggestive statement, a slight devilish spark hidden away in her eyes. In her mind, she could have any guy she wanted, and she could make any guy become infatuated in her, even if she didn't have any feelings for them.
But she didn't ever try and get a guy because she wanted them, so far she's only played with their emotions because she simply...could. In truth, Joan just thrived off the attention, without it she'd probably go insane, by simply ignoring her advances could be enough to flare anger in her.
But she also enjoyed a challenge, and so far Riley and James seemed to not stare at her in the way she would have rathered. She'd have to deal with them later..
Joan:"We wouldn't want you to get lost in these lonely halls now would we?"
She stated teasingly in response to Jon before tugging him gently towards the direction of his room.
Joan:"We wouldn't want to be caught out of our rooms after curfew...otherwise then I'll be guiding you to the detention hall instead of....the far more pleasant areas."
Re: The Center - New day, New Threat
Jon blinked as the lights came back on, looking up the corridor in the direction James had taken, a slight frown upon his face. That guy really need to learn to chill. But Joan soon drew his attention back to her and away from his new friend, he felt a shiver trace down his spine as she rested her her head on his shoulder, her arm though his. Now why couldn't Cat act something more like this, he mused as he gave Joan his full attention.
'James will learn.' He said to the top of her head, his senses full of her, she smelt of cocconut, he resisted the urge to drop an arm over her shoulder.
'Not at all Joan.' He said obediently a smile upon his face as she guided him back towards his room. He couldn't help voicing one question.
'Do you think we should go look for him?' He said referring to James 'I don't think he can exactly look after himself.' There was actual concern in his voice for the man.

Re: The Center - New day, New Threat
She mused over the thought for a moment, she was one of those responsible for over looking the detention cells and carrying out punishments. She wouldn't lie to herself...or anyone else if they asked her...she loved that job.
But then again, the boy was already jittery, he'd be a nervous wreck...more so then currently anyway...if he was locked away in the detention cells.
Joan:"Although he'd be locked away in isolation if he was caught...something he'd probably enjoy since he's a little skittish around others....I suppose I could go and see where he went to.."
She pulled away from Jon, taking a few steps towards where she could 'feel' James had gone off to, but she stopped, slowly turning around and looking back at the hundsome boy.
Joan:"I have a pass to be out after curfew...."
She informed him wiht a pleasent smile.
Joan:"If you want, I could find him and bring him to your room, that way you're out of trouble and...I get a reason to swing by later tonight."
Joan wouldn't complain if he wanted to tag along with her, but she wouldn't be able to stop him from getting punished, however the thought of returning to his room later seemed to amuse her greatly.
Re: The Center - New day, New Threat
He wasn't sure he liked thsi curfew that much, but he supposed that every job had it's draw backs .... but it also had it's perks he thought with a slight smile, glancing ahead at the woman. His grin widened as he listened to her suggestion.
'I'll be looking forward to it.' He said, his gaze meeting and holding hers. 'I should get going.' He motioned down the side tunnel they had come up before with his thumb. 'I gotta make a phone call.'
He gave her one last smile before he turned and strolled away up the corridor, glancing back at her as he went, watching her hips sway as she walked off.
