The Grand Law
Law
Rules

Guidelines

Justice

1) Do not God-Mod! "God-Modding" is controlling other people's characters, killing 10 orcs in one stroke of a sword or a word of command (see rule about magic) or yourself killing 20 orcs; or even twelve.
2) IC action has IC consequence - If you throw yourself into a force of 20 orcs there is all possibility that you won't escape either alive or unscathed. If you walk up to the gates of Barad-dûr claiming lordship over Mordor you are certain to be tortured and slain by Ringwraiths. Do not expect to survive everything!
3) Respect the moderators and administrators and do what they say. They have the power of gods, and can make nasty things happen to your character, savvy?
4) In all quests the founder of the quest and leader of the party has the final word. If there is an OoC quarrel and the party leader cannot settle the argument the mod or admin will take charge and tell what to be done.
5) No Player Character may kill or wound another PC, unless both parts have agreed beforehand. Likewise, no PC or NPC may kill or wound a Book Character(BC) without permission from an administrator. Moderators does not have a word in such cases.
6) OoC knowledge ain't IC wisdom - Even though you may have read the LotR several times, and know all about for example Galadriel's past or the History of the One Ring, it doesn't mean your character does. Noone knows everything.
7) Quality before Quantity - In the NKoA we want less characters and better quality roleplaying. We have a maximum of 3 characters.
8 No PC shops! No characters may have their own shops. Moderators or Administrators may create shops, but beyond that no characters may have their own shops.
9) Keep your avatars limited! Use very small avatars in IC threads. Only use avatars of characters played in the NKoA. Star Wars, Matrix, Pirates of the Caribbean and others like that is not allowed. Neither is LotR characters not played in the NKoA. The little picture beneath your name can be whatever you like.
10) Make sure your signature is not considered part of any IC post. This could cause confusion. Either use lines like these: " `l|l'´`'l|l'´ __ |-=o0O0o=-|-= " or make the lines stand out. Change the size, color, or do anything that makes it different.
