The Rebellion
The bunker was dark and surprisingly cool considering how hot it was outside. A single lamp iluminated the small room. It sat on a small, wooden table along with a few scraps of paper and a folded up road map. Around the table were three chairs, one facing the wrong way, and another slid neatly under the table. Directly across from the room from the door was a large bookcase with several books, a few more folded up maps, and cup with five or six pens.
The door to the bunker opened and light poured in as Fireheight entered the room. He shut the door behind him and moved to the table in the center of the bunker. He lifted the seat off of the ground and took his seat. He set his elbows on the table and placed his face in his hands. Their numbers were dwindling. BAHRAM'S return was just too swift for the rebellion to regroup. Fireheight had made a call to arms, a message to rendezvous at the abandoned bunker- the original HQ from the previous war. Who showed up would determine whether or not they had a chance to combat the BAHRAM threat.

Re: The Rebellion
"... Well, Fire, you're just as I remembered you..."
The bunker's door closed, and something small yiped happily, jumping at his leg and licking whatever it could reach of him.
"It seems Fenrir remembers you too. It's been a while." A young, silver-haired girl sat next to him, sighing lightly, as she picked up the small fox named Fenrir, placing him on the table, before folding her arms on it and resting her head on it, looking over at her partner. "When we think peace has finally been given to us, it's pulled right out of our grasping fingers."
Re: The Rebellion
Fireheight lifted his face from his hands as he felt Fenrir's tiny paws scratch at his jeans. He smiled and grabed Fenrir's head with both hands, rubbing underneath both its ears at once. "Thank God the message reached you, Gene.'
He watched as she gently lifted the fox up into her arms and took a seat next to him. He locked eyes with her for a moment and sat back in his seat to absorb her image before shaking his head and recollecting his thoughts. She seemed so innocent sitting there- far too fragile to be a soldier. But looks can be decieving.
"We might lose it for good if my call fails to reach the others. We should have known that it was too good to be true... How are things at home, by the way? I hear they've already conquered most of northern Hellespont... Won't be too long before they have Vacillia... We have to act quickly..."

Re: The Rebellion
"... They already do. Neo-BAHRAM forces have pulled a silent coupe. They're just mopping up any resistance..." The small fox licked the girl's face, as she closed her eyes. "Then again, the last government that the Federation put in was a puppet government... our allies turned out to be our enemies, it would seem. Martians will never be free..." She rose a hand out form under her head, slowly raising it to Fire's face.
"... Though it's nice to know there's always someone who'll be there for you..."

"Awwwww, how sweet. Like taking an image straight out of a Hallmark card. Coincidentally, I'd be happy if all those annoying cards were destroyed."
This mocking voice was a quick ruiner of any sensitive moment and it would take little effort to see who had spoken. After all, he was standing right behind them. It was none other than Eric, better known to the world as a mercenary named Shade. Though you wouldn't easily recognize that fact since he didn't have his easily recognizable Shade System activated. He had a rather smug look on his face and seemed to be paying more attention to Genette than anyone else.
"A cutie. Looks like there's a bonus to this after all. I'm here cause someone wants me to help you play war games with big bad BAHRAM. I pilot an Orbital Frame and I know how to kick more than a few asses with it. Question here is simple, you gonna let me work with you or not?"
Eric already had a story in mind to feed them if they started asking invasive questions about him. As for how he found out about this meeting? Let's just say that BAHRAM can be very persuasive when they want to get information out of a prisoner. Seems they snagged one of the recipients of the call to arms. They even contacted Eric, offering him both a healthy paycheck and a pardon of his crimes against BAHRAM. He didn't know what crimes he had committed, and he didn't really care, but he liked the number of zeros they showed him. His task? Infiltrate the rebels and do some spy work, with the occasional sabotage. Basically soften em up to the point that BAHRAM can crush the rebellion with a single loss.

Re: The Rebellion
Genette was up at her feet in seconds, raising her rifle, as Fenrir snarled and growled at Eric.
"Who are you?" she asked, her rifle right at Eric's chest... before being pushed down.
"Easy, girl. I brought him." It was one of the LEV pilots... Leon. "I heard the call and hired a merc... everyone needs one nowadays."
"... Leon, you know that Lucia won't like this at all..." Genette said, sitting back down.
"I don't." Leon and Genette looked at the door, as there stood the field commander of the opperations... said Lucia. "Mercenaries can't be trusted one bit. All they want is money."
O.O
Fireheight smiled as the room began to fill with familiar faces, 'Things are starting to look up.' he thought as his attention turned to the new face.
"Friends, please... Eric, I'm not so sure we can afford to pay you much," Fireheight stood up and approached Eric, "However, as long as you are willing to help I will find some way to repay you for your services... Unless Leon wants to foot the bill..."

"I ain't got @#%$ other than my crappy LEV." Leon took a seat as well, followed by Lucia, who was intent with glaring at Eric. Genette sighed, taking her hat off and grabbing her pet, before shaking her head a bit and letting "Yo, Fire, what's the matter, anyway? I was just about to hit it off with some BEAUTIFUL women. Or girlish boys, I was drunk and don't remember," Leon explained, Lucia slapping her forehead and Genette frowning.
"... What? Can't take a joke?"

Re: O.O
Eric shrugged as other people entered the bunker and began taking seats, not particularly caring whether anyone in the group didn't like him being here. Not like he was interested in their cause, or a true ally for that matter. But he figured his best bet would be to show them his body if he wanted a little bit of trust from them. That would mean showing off his scars, which he personally hated doing. He wasn't fond of letting others see them, but this was part of the job so it wasn't so big a deal as usual.
"Well, since someone doesn't like me. Let's play a little game from grade school they call Show and Tell."
Eric slowly and carefully removed his gloves, jacket, shirt, and mask. He didn't think taking his pants off would be neccesary. What they would see now that his body was exposed to them, a great many scars that didn't look too friendly. They were also obviously scars that resulted from extensive surgeries. Though oddest of all, a small area of his chest was part of a machine.
"These lovely scars and the toys put in me are all thanks to BAHRAM. I was a guinea pig, so I can identify with you folks even though I'm a merc. BAHRAM bad. We smash. That the gist of it?"
Eric then put his clothing and mask back on, acting like he didn't just reveal some nasty scars and the like to them. Though there was a slight bit of annoyance present, and that was from soeone apparently knowing his real name. He liked it when people on the job called him Shade.
"And sorry, but my name is Shade. I really don't know who this Eric person is, but if I have a twin out there it's a new one on me. Hope I'm not the evil one."

Re: O.O
Pride's jaw dropped as he realized that he had fallen out of character. "How could I?" he thought, "How could I make such an amateur mistake!? And how could I post a measly three sentences!?"
He fell onto his knees and began to sob uncontrollably, "So stupid! How do I explain to the others why Fireheight called him Eric if Eric has not yet revealed his name!?"
Then it hit him, "I know!"
***
Fireheight began to blush as he realized that he had just called this man the wrong name. He had been mistaken. "Sorry... It's just... you looked so familiar..."
***
Uh oh... Now Pride had wrote himself into yet another corner. "Oh no... That's more back-story than I want to write out... Now what am I going to do?"
***
"There was this guy named Eric that I met at a bar the other night. He was a good guy... Great pool player. Beat me 5 times..." Fireheight began to trail off as he realized that nobody cared. It was completely irrelevant and it was a story that was not at all appropriate for this particular situation.
"But it must have just been the lighting because now I can see that you don't look anything like him." He said as he rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment. 'I hate it when I get names wrong... And I haven't even met the guy... Talk about bad first impressions... Though, to be perfectly honest, Shade seems a little cliché for a mercenary. Maybe he should look into a new alias... Something original... and catchy... Eh, I'll ask him about it later,'
"Oh well, it's still nice to have you aboard, Shade..."
***
'Ah, good...' Pride thought to himself as he reviewed his post. 'I think this will work... Heck, I even wrapped it up nice and tidy with that last line. I can't wait to see where the others will take... Aw, crap. That really doesn't leave them a whole lot of role-playing opportunities... Perhaps I should have a dinosaur burst into the bunker and... Nah, I'll just end it.'
And with that, Pride hit "Add Reply" and went off to do something productive.
"Uh... Right. Ok people, listen up!" Fireheight stood over the table and began to unfold the road map. He grabbed a pen from the shelf and began to scribble. "Well, as you all know, BAHRAM is back in business and the Rebellion needs to act fast if we are going to protect our homes... Sadly, most of the planet has already fallen. At this point, we don't have the numbers to directly assault the BAHRAM vanguard. We can, however, stall them long enough for Federation forces to mobilize... Hopefully, they will. If not we might find ourselves in a world of hurt..."
Fireheight looked up as he finished scribbling down on the map. The map appeared to be a regular road map of the area. There weren't very many roads, however, because the area was still mostly undeveloped. A road was outlined in the middle of the map where it passed through a tunnel at the edge of the mountain range. The tunnel couldn't have stretched much further than a mile but was an obvious place for an ambush. "Well, here's the plan for our first assault. There will be a convoy moving through this area tomorrow around noon. We'll probably have to be in position, however, by about 08:00 hours because at this point intel is still fairly shaky. The convoy is going to be made up of a single cargo truck, probably full of munitions, two APC's, and several LEV's. The absence of OF's leads me to believe that whatever they are carrying can't be too important."
Fireheight leaned on the table with his left hand and with the pen in the other begain to draw. "As of now, our armory is completely empty. All the ammunition that is currently in there will be used for this single mission. We need whatever is in that truck or this could be our last mission. I've been told that it is probably ammunition. We'd better hope so. By the time I could get us enough ammo to launch another assault BAHRAM would have already mobilized and captured the area. As of now, they are expecting little resistance because they know we have had little time to organize, so now is the time to strike... I've circled the tunnel that the convoy must go through in order to get past the mountain formation that surrounds Hellespont County. We will split into two teams, one headed by myself and the other headed by Gene, while Lucia takes the tank and gives us support. The tunnel will be extremely cramped so we'll need to coordinate to make sure don't end up killing each other. Both teams will take opposite sides of the tunnel and pinch their convoy in the middle to make sure they can't escape. Our OF's will then make short work of their LEV's and APC's, and then we can move the tank in and pilfer the truck. Relatively simple..."
Fireheight dropped the pen and looked up to make sure everyone was still listening. "Now all that is left to do is organize teams..."

Re: O.O
"Right," Genette said, nodding. "Lucia, what do you suggest for teams?"
"Genette, I suggest you take Leon's team with you. Fire, while I hate to use him... I think you should take Shade. I have no problem stating that I don't trust him in any way." Lucia glared at Shade, as Genette sighed a bit. "Genette, as you have the best sniper rifle we have, I suggest that your team takes the front of the enemy transport, while Fire and Shade come up from behind them. You can disable both LEVs and block the escape routes for the transport, and then we can simply drive up and get the ammo. The LEVs can do anti-personell duty with their machineguns-"
"Figures. We never get any of the fun," Leon said, the three pilots behind him nodding in approval, as Lucia shot a glare at him to silence him.
"And, if you all can't do it, the Calibur can clean up the APCs. I've had the armor and the gun on it fixed up a bit, and the laser cannon should be able to cut through the armor of the average BAHRAM APC like a hot knife through butter. So, looks like we all get to sleep in the same place again."
"Hey, finally I can see our two mascots change clothes again!" one of the pilots said, laughing loudly until an energy cell was thrown at him.
"Shut it Jenkins. I brought a divider for such an occasion." Damn, Lucia's prepared as usual.
Re: O.O
"Alrighty... I think that's everything... Lets get some rest. Everyone needs to be ready by 08:00, so wake up with enough time to prepare your mecha... Anyway, everyone is welcome to crash here in this tiny bunker, or in the warehouse out back. There's plenty of room in there, so no need to worry Lucia. I'm sure you're all familiar with it or have at least seen it. If you don't have anything to sleep in I'm sure there are a few left over sleeping bags in there from the last war..."
Fireheight stretched his back out as he walked towards the door. "I'll be in my tent in the warehouse if anybody needs me. Try not to stay up too late, guys."
He smiled at Leon and his men and nodded to the others as he walked up the stairs. "It's still only 8:00 or so, but try to think ahead..."
And with that he turned and left the room.

Re: O.O
Eric was currently frowning, though not because of Lucia's open resentment of him. He personally did not care what anyone here thought of him, as he was the hired gun. He was merely a third party. They could all die and Eric wouldn't bat an eye. Of course the end result of his mission was supposed to be their deaths, even if he had to break some BAHRAM equipment while he waited for the right opportunity. He had to hand it to BAHRAM, this crap convoy was gonna make it easy to earn the trust of a few people here.
"I don't like the plan you folks have set up here. Unneccesary risk inolved, low risk mission or not. And looking at the state of things, I think the less damage your war toys take the better."
Sure the guy behind the plan was gone, but there were still a few people to hear what he had to say. Who knows, maybe they might listen to him and follow his advice.
"This could very well be a trap. Especially since you don't know what kind of munitions are in that truck. Bait the you with an easy target sent through a position easy to ambush. Then you attack and when you're deep inside that tunnel . . . boom. They cause a cave in and anything not an OF dies. Hell, the soldiers in that convoy are probably conscripts. I think we'd be better off letting them go all the way through. Two OFs can hide in the mountain range, keeping close to the end of the tunnel the convoy will be entering from. These two units will be your sniper and a support unit. I recommend myself as the support unit to the sniper. The rest will wait in ambush at the end the convoy will be exiting from. Then we let them go through the tunnel, me and your sniper setting up at our end when the convoy reaches the middle. Sniper takes aim and waits. It's likely the truck and APCs will hang out just inside the tunnels as the LEVs exit first. At this time, the sniper takes out an APC. Thinking an attack on their rear, they'll rush out and go to the side to keep out of the line of fire. This is when the units lying in ambush strike. The convoy will be fully exposed and you all get to keep you manuevering room."
Eric casually stretched after his words, acting like he said nothing of importance. It was up to them if they wanted to go along with what he proposed. They didn't have to listen to him. But hey, he didn't exactly have to listen to them either.
For you that was the most important day of your life. But for me? It was Tuesday.

"... We're doing it his way," Lucia said, making it clear that apparently Eric would have to earn some trust in this group. She got up and left, as did the LEV pilots, followed by a quiet Genette, who had her fox in her arms and was silently stroking its head.
Yeah, they're not a newbie-friendly team, it seems.
