- The Renaissance Hotel -
*As Angel entered the hotel, the very shadows seemed to whisper death and doom to him, but he tried to just shrug off the eerie feeling, not just for his own sanity, but for Spike who seemed unsettled by his earlier experience.
How was it? To hear the constant screams and whispers of all those you've killed....even after all Angelus has done, Angel still couldn't help but feel pity and sympathy for the younger vampire...after all, if Angelus didn't exist, then Spike wouldn't have been sired...
Blame wasn't going to help now, first he had to figure out what was happening, what exactly was playing with their minds...if they where lucky their blood was just being spiked with some sort of drugs..*
Angel:"Did you want a drink?"
*He asks as casually as possible, heading over to the fridge as if he was getting some for himself, though in truth he had no desire to drink right now..*
*Spike shook his head, he'd remained silent for the rest of their way back to the hotel.*
Spike: "...No thanks..."
*Slowly, but finally the voices were calming down just to the faint whispers of which Spike was used to.
Was the Drusilla illusion just a new part of the curse to regaining his soul, like the voices? But then again who could something as simple as an illusion, if that, could effect him so much? Maybe there was something after them, or maybe Spike was letting his imagination get the better of him.*
Spike: "...You saw someone too, didn't you?"
*He asked recalling what happened in the bar to the bartender.*
Spike: "...That wasn't Jeff you were talking to, was it?"
Re: - The Renaissance Hotel -
*He paused, slowing completely to a stop before slowly turning around to face Spike*
Angel:"The bartender....right.."
*He seemed to hope that Spike might have forgotten that, his hand getnly rubs the side of his head as he takes a few steps towards the other souled vamp*
Angel:"It...it was her.."
*He began, picturing the girl and what she was doing in the bar*
Angel:"The Gypsy...she was...saying things..."
*He trailed off, talking about the young Gypsy girl always brought such pain to him. Heading over to his room and opening the door, he took off his leather coat and placed it on the coat stand. He was wearing a black long sleeved jumper, the white strip going across his chest easily stood out in the shadows, which due to his dark pants he seemed to blend into them very well*
Angel:"We need to figure out what's going on."
*He says as he heads back into the main entrance hall*
Re: - The Renaissance Hotel -
*Spike looked to the window, well it would be there if it wasnt covered by think curtains to think. He didn't really know many others apart from Angel. Those he did know were from his past, and he didn't think they would like to volenteer to help them out, after him regaining his soul.*
Spike: "...Maybe some humans...?"
*He asked before shaking his head and almost laughed at his idea.*
Spike: "...As if anyone of them would like to help us. Like they'd understand. It's not like the old days where you can walk up to someone and say 'Good day, I'm a vampire!' People these days hardly believe in us."
*He scoffed out, obviously frustrated. He settles down in a chair to calm down. There had to be someone out there that could help them...but, like Angel had asked, who?*
Spike: "Do you think anyone who has stayed here would be able to lend a hand, claw, limb, whatever they have, to help?"
*Maybe if there was someone, they could check the record books to see if they could contact them somehow...*
Re: - The Renaissance Hotel -
*Angel looked over at the computer, he gave an almost instinctive shiver at the thought of having to operate it, but laid eyes upon the sign in book. Everyone had to sign in their names, even if all the other information was placed into the computer.
Walking over to the large book Angel spins it around and begins flicking threw it*
Angel:"Imaweth...Kal'dra....Morgan....Cassy....Gnarl...Draven....Hmm...hey, remember him? Draven? The dead guy?"
*Angel turned around*
Angel:"Remember the pale faced, ragged clothes...the bird man! Came by 2 weeks ago searching for information on a group that murdered him and his wife?"
*Angel looked down at the name again in the book then walked off towards his room to grab his coat*
Angel:"We gave him names, maybe he'll return the favor and help us out."
*Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a black mobile, slowly opening it, he gazed at the buttons, unlike Spike, Angel hadn't ever got a hang of techology*
Angel:"Uh..."
*His finger went to push one of the buttons when blood started dripping out from the cracks, but what really spooked him was the image of him biting someone in the small screen, with a yell he dropped the phone and took a step back.
As the phone lands on the ground, Angel stared down at it, and then it began to ring, he gave a nervous chuckle over the illusion as he glanced back at Spike, then picked it up to answer*
Angel:"<ahem>The Renaissance Hotel, how may I help you?"
*There was a moment of silence before he began speaking again*
Angel:"..Where? Alright, no it's fine, I'll be there....when?"
*He seemed to give another nervous chuckle, which was obviously forced to hide how upset he was*
Angel:"That was just...hey! Do we know where Draven went off to? If not we better get.."
*He look outside and frowned as he knew the sun should be rising with the next hour or two*
Angel:"..Get some rest and figure out what to do tonight."
*Spike shook his head with a bit of a smirk. He had always liked the fact that he got the hang of technology, while Angel hadn't.
As Angel dropped the phone Spike turned to him and gave him a concerned look but with the chuckle he turned his mind to remembering that Draven guy.
At first Spike thought that he was a zombie, but then again zombies didn't dress that neat although Draven's clothes were a bit ragged. He hadn't really talked to him much, but remembered that he mentioned that he and his wife were killed and that is why he had come by. For help to find them, they were witch hunters. Spike shivered, he knew they were just like vampire slayers of the witch world.*
Angel:"..Get some rest and figure out what to do tonight."
*Spike signed, the sun was always stopping them when something important was happening. He then yawned realising that he was a little tired*
Spike: "...Alright, I'll hit the hay for a bit..."
*He walked out of the room and towards his room. Once inside he took off his jacket and other clothes until he was left in his usual sleepwear, his boxers. He walked over to his bed and lied down. Hopefully the voices wouldn't keep him awak like they had other days. But before he could think anymore he had fallen asleep.*
Re: - The Renaissance Hotel -
*Angel watched Spike head off, he didn't move until Spike had left his sight, glancing down at his phone, then hitting himself on the forehead with the palm of his hand*
Angel:"Stupid!"
*He yells at himself for having been spooked by the silly illusion. He walked back towards his office, slipping the mobile into his coat pocket as he past the coat stand.
Taking a seat in his chair by his desk, Angel rubbed his tired eyes, upset and confused over what was happening, frustrated that he was unable to figure out what was going on.
Without thinking his hand went for the drew of his desk, pulling out an old photo, he looks at it, then places it on the desk, giving a slight yawn though he tried his best to stop himself from yawning.
An hour later he was slumped forward over his desk, his head resting comfortably in his folded arms. From the darkness of the room it was impossible to tell that the sun was rising outside*
Re: - The Renaissance Hotel -
*After a few hours of sleep, Spike awoke to one voice screaming. He sat up in his bed and clenched his head. With the screams he could see flashbacks of his memory to go with them. It wasn't like a full movie, the flashbacks, it was more like snippets cut out from a movie to make the advertisment.
He could see her, a young girl, wriggling around in his grasp. Then he could see the view from her neck as he drank her...blood, there was screams to go with it, high pitched, right in his left ear. The next he saw was her body, lying motionless on the ground in front of him, but there was silence...Then it all faded and he could see his room around him.
Sure, these had happened to him before but every time they still disturbed him. He looked around and gulped, he felt thirsty again.
He climbed out of bed and re-dressed himself and walked to the kitchen. Once there he headed straight towards the fridge and pulled out a half empty jug of blood. Too lazy to grab a glass he just drank out of it and finished the jug off.
He walked around making sure things were normal, as they could get, around the hotel, he had nothing better to do. He passed Angel and smirked with a bit of jealousy. He could sleep more peacefully than Spike ever could. He walked off to continue looking around the hotel.*
Re: - The Renaissance Hotel -
*The night was cold, and Angel was rushing threw the old city, tripping slightly on the cobble stones as his sword's tip dragged along the stones.
Angel knew he was out there, he was following the trail the monster left, bodies, blood, mesages written on the wall to mock Angel as he persued the creature.
There's a yell, Angel raises his sword, cautiously moving towards a dark ally, the smell of blood and decay so foul and heavy upon the air. Just as Angel was about to enter the shadows, a girl comes rushing out from the ally, Angel's entire body freezes, he can't move, he wants to tell her to stand behind him, say he'd protect her, but he couldn't speak.
The girl looked up at him, her soft trembling voice whispering words he couldn't make out, suddenly an arm reaches out, pulling her back into the shadows of the all, Angel yells but no sound erupts from his mouth*
Angel:"...Kathy.."
*He mumbles as if he was having trouble breathing, slowly he opens his eyes, the world of his dreams quickly melting away as he looks around.
Sitting up straigh he picks up the photo of his little sister, not daring to even look at it as he hides it back into his draw. That's odd...he could smell Spike, as if he had been nearby recently.
Standing Angel pushes his seat in and moves towards the door, peeking out into the main entrance hall where they did most of their work. He steps out, heading towards the center couch, his eyes gazing up towards the clock*
Angel:"Not even noon.."
*He says with a sigh, then glances about*
Angel:"Right...find Dead Guy."
*Angel begins pacing back and forth, trying his best to recall if Draven said where he was going after he left the hotel*
Cordelia: (after she opens the door that Angel was struggling to get open from the inside)
Trying to open that? They locked you in, huh?
Angel: No, I just love old meat lockers.
Wesley: You should have tried to call us on your cell phone. You probably forgot you had it.
Angel: (taking out his cell phone)
Those things hardly ever work. Besides, it was just a lot easier and quicker to just . . . .
Look, I'm the boss here. I say when we use the cell phones, and when people are gonna die, now I have to go.
Re: - The Renaissance Hotel -
*Spike returned after hearing Angel talk to himself and sees him pacing back and forth. It was obvious to him that he was trying to figure out where that Draven guy got to.*
Spike: "...You haven't got an idea either, eh?"
*He asks, with a half smirk. Then he began to wonder where Draven would have got to. He had come, asked where some people were and had left not long after. Maybe he followed after these people, maybe not, but it was worth looking.*
Spike: "Where did those guys who Draven was talking about go? You told him where they went ... Do you think he may have followed after them?"
Re: - The Renaissance Hotel -
*Angel looked over at Spike, frowning at the thought of having to head over to Obsidian Tech and their Demonic Lawyer lap dogs*
Angel:"Right, we should check their bases, let's leave Obsidian Teck and the Law Firm for now, there were 2 dirty cops in on his wife's murder, let's head over to the Police Department."
*He moved over to his office, grabbing his coat from the stand and walked back towards Spike, his mobile began ringing again but as usual Angel didn't pay any attention to the alien sound. Once he was locked in a meat locker for 4 hours until Spike found him, only to have Spike point out he would have arrived earlier had Angel remembered about his mobile and phoned him.
It wasn't until Angel paused, glancing around to see where the sound was coming from, Spike cleared his throat, and at the same time Angel remembers about his phone, pulling it from his pocket and fiddling about attempting to open it.
Once he flicks the phone open he looks at the buttons...alright...there was a button with C and a button with ok, obviously C must mean chat! ..He presses C quickly and places the phone to his ear*
Angel:"Hello, Renaissance-...uh...hello?"
*He removed the phone from his ear...it was off...he was obviously very frustrated with the device*
Angel:"These things hardly ever work! You'd think they'd made them more easier to use, why do we need all these darn buttons on the thing!? I mean, what the heck do these ones do!?"
*He complains jabbing his finger into the scrolling buttons that allow you to scroll up and down in the menu screens*
Angel:"Wait, this is a button!? What's this one do, why is it on the bottom, who designed these things!? Honestly, one day I'm going to write these people a very long suggestions and complaints letter!"
*He stormed towards his room, shoving the phone back into his pocket, he entered the room which served as their kitchen, well it's where they kept the fridge. In the same room was a stairway, the Vampires head down the stairway into Angel's room.
He glanced over at fridge, but resisted grabbing something to drink, even with Spike, he wasn't very comfortable opening that fridge, it was mostly their emergancy supply, so it was filled completely with containers of blood. It was amazing that after all these years Angel was still ashamed of having to drink that...
Reaching down Angel pulls bakc the cover that leads down into the sewers, they climb down the ladder and begin making their way towards the Police department..
(post here and then say we're leaving the area, and then I'll post us arriving at the department, how's that sound? sorry for taking so long! )
Cordelia: (after she opens the door that Angel was struggling to get open from the inside)

Angel: No, I just love old meat lockers.
Wesley: You should have tried to call us on your cell phone. You probably forgot you had it.

((Meh, it's ok, you must of had a bit of my slow disease! ))
*Obviously, Spike followed Angel and soon enough they were within the sewers. It was dark and wet, but the safest way for any vampire to get around when the sun was up.
Spike looked around, sometimes you could meet others in there, but mainly vampires. The sewers that they were trailing seemed a empty so both Angel and Spike had an easy time walking to the police department.
Around half an hour later the two vampires arrived at the ladder which opened behind a the Department of Law and Order which was dark and not as much sun got to. They had gone that time without talking to eachother but then again sometimes silence was good. Then they began climbing up the ladder...*
