The Ruins of the HellFire Club- lets see those eyes of yours
JENNIFER
The slayer lead them down into the ruins of an old building, she kicked some small rocks to the side and turned to face the two students.

Rogue:"Well, behold, the all mighty and powerful Hell Fire Club, safe to say it's ruined enough for people not to care if it's ruined a little more. No one hangs out here anyway."

Although the city was still in sight, the area appeared deserted, and extremely silent.

Rogue:"Well...let's see those eyes of yours!"

She made sure to stand off to his side, out of harms way incase whatever happens when he removes his glasses still happend. Part of her hoped for his sake that this didn't work, he seemed hopeful that he'd be able to use his eyes.

SEAN
The dark, dank, broken down ruins of this building fitted perfectly with the rest of the world he had seen. If this had been found in his world then it would have been demolished years ago and built upon, but here it lived its life as a wreck.

The room they stood in only had two and a half intact walls and was obviously the center of a very vicous fire, the walls blackened with the soot that had formed from the toxic smoke. Broken furinture was dotted around and old personal items littered the floor, the remains of anyone that had been lost in this wreck.

Sean watched as Cat and Rogue backed away from him and he was stood facing a wall alone. Arenaline pumped through his body, his hands shaking with nerves.

"Ok, here goes." He said quietly to himself.

He raised his hands to the sides of his head and suddenly thoughts flowed through his mind, worries that he would hurt someone else without meaning to. He knew he had to get rid of the shades to survive here, i mean who has needs for them in a land with no sun. Sean took a deep breath and took each side of his protective glasses, he slowly unlocked them from the backs of his ears and closed his eyes tight as he slowly pulled the lenses from his face, folding them up in one hand.

He took another breath and slowly opened his eyes.

Suddenly there was a bright flash of red. Laser shot from both his eyes smacking into the wall ahead of him tearing it apart. But in the instant it appeared, it also stopped, the wreckage of the wall spread meteres away infront of him and it took him a few seconds to realise that he had his eyes open without his glasses and excluding the momentary lose of energy within his body, it was safe.

Slowly he turned to see Cat and Rogue standing further back than before, his dark hazel eyes seeing them for the first time without the slight tint of his glasses which he had lived with for over ten years.

Emotions flowed through his body, not knowing what to think, btu before he could say anything there was a loud groning noise and cracks formed in parts of the structure around them. The wall he had just reduced to rubble was a supporting wall, supporting a section of the Hell Fire club that was now above them, and about to come down on them.

"Quick! We've got to get out of here!" He shouted and for the first time the others saw his concern in his eyes.....

CATHERINE
Cat stepped slightly closer to Rogue, nervous now it had come to it. She didn't know what to expect, wasn't sure exactly what his eyes were like without his glasses. She sifted from one foot to the other uncomfortably, hoping for his sake that his eyes were alright.

She wondered what was happening back at the school, was everyone looking for her, for them? Did they know where they had gone? She remembered Zac and Riley lying slumped against the wall, were either of them even alive she thought sadly. And she had just stood there and let those vampires hurt them without even trying to help them, she felt awful now as she thought about the whole thing. Riley had shown her nothing but kindness and she repaid it by just standing there, she hadn't even attempted to help him when he had obviously been in pain.

She let a slient sigh leave her lips as she stood her shoulders sagging ever so slightly as she watched Sean, her heart in her mouth as he raised his glasses. Flintching as red blasts shot from his eyes, smashing into the wall behind. Destroying part of the derelict building, she backed off slightly, her eyes wide and staring at the spot where the wall had been, her gaze travelling to Sean suddenly scared of him. She hadn't seen any real display of mutant powers before, realising what he could do with those powers if he chose to. She remembered exactly why she was afraid of mutants.

She watched, frozen to the spot as he turned, his dark hazel eyes meeting her chocolate coloured ones for a second, seeing the happiness and wonder in the brown depths of his eyes. She felt the ground tremble, her body tensing, muscles bunching up, wondering what was happening.

A second later she realised as dust showered down onto them from the roof above, she heard Sean call out and span on her foot about to run. Adrenalin pumping though her, flushing her body hot and then cold, she leapt backwards swiftly as a block of stone landed where she had just stood, some inner instinct warning her she was in danger.

JENNIFER
At the blast erupting from his eyes Rogue reached out and instinctavly placed her hand on Cat's nearby arm, as if telling her to stay back. But then it stopped, he turned around, although part of her expected another blast to shoot out of them, it seemed as if it was over as suddenly as it had began.

But he couldn't relish in his new found freedom for long, Rogue's ears could pick up the cracking of the walls, the very foundation seemed to begin to shatter as the floor above them became a dangerous threat to their lives.

Her first slayer instinct told her to turn and dive for cover, but the crashing sound of stone smashing into the ground right beside her where Cat was standing just moments ago caused her to stumble backwards. The sound of the crash was almost deafening to the slayers hightend hearing, but her mind was screaming for her to make sure that Sean and Cat where alright.

For the slightest moment, the thought occured to Rogue that she should shift into her other form, that way she could teleport them to safty..but she saw how Cat looked at Sean, she was terrified for that short moment after seeing what he could do..

Determind to do this on her own without using what she was convinced where demonic powers, Rogue snapped into action, she was the slayer, and they where mutants, they could all handle themselves, she was sure of it.

Another chunk of the floor above seem to fall free and come crashing down towards both her, Cat and Sean, moments later everything falling down around them. In an instant Rogue leapt out of the way of the falling debris, her agile body weaving this way and that as she avoided the smaller chuncks raining down upon her.

The ground seemed to tremble as the building collapsed, Rogue already managing to break free of the dangerous building and spin around to see if the others where alright.

Rogue:"Everyone ok?"

She called out loudly as she coughed from the dust and dirt that filled the air as the bits of the building slammed into the ground.

SEAN
Half the building was collapsing on them and they had little time, Sean saw as Cat leaped into action, the first time her powers had ever been see in action, and it seemed they were something she was able to control. Rogue was also rolling and dodging the fallings cement and stone of the building.

Sean began to run, outstretching his mind and one arm he felt the shifting movement of the falling pieces of the Hell Fire Club. With all his strength and power shifted to his telekinetic abilities rocks and debris ahead of him shifted out of the way, clearing a path as he ran and dodged.

But with all his thoughts ahead of him he didn't notice a falling chuck of ceiling as it fell, just in time his senses broke it apart before it crushed him, but still the fallening pieces landed on his body, smashing him to the floor.

Suddenly all went quiet, the odd sound of shifting and falling dust filling the thick air, a single voice was heard;

Everyone ok? He heard Rogue call.

Sean shifted his mind and focused on his predicament as the heavy rocks pressed against him. Carefully he focused all his powers on the rocks atop him and in a second of raging energy his telekinetic abilities blew the heavy debris off of him allowing him to rise, slowly. His body dusty, breathing heavy he called back;

"I'm ok." He said as he stepped out clutching a deep cut to his side, "Cat?" He called as he approached Rogue, seeing that she was alright, if not a little shaken. "I'm sorry." He said quietly....

CATHERINE
Cat had to jump sideways again as another chunk of rock fell at her feet. She could feel herself panicing, wondering if she was going to die, images flying though her mind, her mother, father then Rogers face lingering infront of her eyes. A whirlind of her family and friends centering at last on Riley's face. His image seemed to bring her back from her heightenend state of terror, at the same time everything seemed to slow down.

The ceeling swayed slowly and even the movements of her friends seemed as if it was all happening in slow motion. She moved back not really understanding what she was seeing, what was happening. Her own movements seemed to be happening in normal time, not realising that this was the influence of her mutant powers. The roof above her was toppling over, the blocks falling towards her head, at the same time her eyes centred on the door. Her mind was suddenly wonderfully clear.

She doged forwards, leaping over a support beam which had crashed to the floor only seconds ago. She wasn't going to die, not like this not this way. Like a cat she sprang for the door as the lintle cracked, landing almost in a forwards roll upon the other side. Her shoulder hitting the ground as she rolled, back on her feet in an instant and she was free of the building. Her heart racing in her chest, her vision obscured by the falling dust.

She heard Rogue call from nearby and slipped off through the dust clouds to join her, time seemed to be oppearting normally now.

'I'm ok.' She said rather shakily to the woman by her side. 'Where's Sean?' Cat looked around her face suddenly pale, mentally kicking herself, she had had the chance to save him again and she had failed again. She breathed a sigh of relife as she saw him stumble towards them, a hand clasped to his side.

'Sean your hurt.' She said her voice full of concern, making her way towards him, forgetting again that he was a mutant and his powers. It hit her for the first time that perhaps she was a mutant, she glanced back at the crushed building, noone normal could have escaped that she thought. She looked back at Sean, her darker eyes meeting his, she knew he must be able to read that she had finally accepted the truth.

JENNIFER
Her eyes where frozen on his wound, her mouth barely able to force the words to leave them as she stared at him, she couldn't bare any more guilt and yet more just seemed to come.

Rogue:"....I can't believe I let you get hurt.."

She whispered to herself astonished with having been so ashamed of herself that she allowed him to be harmed as a result it was her duty to protect them and she wasn't doing a very good job.

Rogue:"Damit, you...you can't came here and do this to me!

She just wanted to scream that out but she couldn't, he was hurt and she had the power within her to have saved them both from harm. In a burst of sudden over-protective concern, Rogue's eyes examine the cut.

Rogue:"Is it bad? There's a hospital about 5 minutes away from here...or we can go back to the Apartment, we have a few of Willow's old spell books, or their mansion is just over there, Willow might be home...can you walk?"

SEAN
"Hey, hey, im fine, its jus a flesh wound, iv had worse." Sean quickly covered the cut up with his jacket.

"Look im fine, we just gota get to this bar you said about ye?"

Sean began to walk ahead of them, he hid the slight pain he felt were the wound rubbed on his jacket, but he had to get out of here and on his way to the journey home, he was strong, and the wound would heal in time.

"If you are ready we need to get out of here before i manage to bring any more of it down." Sean said with a slight smile....

CATHERINE
Cat looked back at the ruins of the building, realsing she was lucky to be alive, perhaps being a mutant had it's perks. She somehow felt different, strange like there had been a part of her she had been denying for years, rejecting and now suddenly she had excepted what she was.

She breathed a sigh of relife as she heard Sean say he was alright, she had been worried for a second that he had been seriously wounded.

She followed a little behind the others, Am I really a mutant? she thought her head almost reeling at the idea. Were the professor, her foster parents and Riley right? She wasn't sure what she was anymore. She wanted to sit down and think things through but there was no time for that now.

JENNIFER
With a slight frown Rogue watched Sean move away from her, it was reasons like this she was inclined towards befriending people, anyone who was a friend of hers was bound to be harmed.

Rogue:"You're going to have demons drooling over you if they smell your blood, maybe we should skip the whole bashing heads for information part and just go straight to getting you home. I mean, it's obvious what Angelus and Dru are up to, chaos and destruction is what they do best, little iffy on why Spike went..."

She trailed off realizing she was babbling on about nothing that would interest them and she was just thinking out loud like she had a habit of doing. Though she was really curious why Spike had gone with them...Insanity aside, he was really changing, she wouldn't admit it..but he really wasn't the same since the Initiative put the chip in his head.

But this wasn't the time to dwell on such thoughts, she looked over at Cat for a moment, unsure if she should make a comment on what she saw or not, but the Slayer decided to commend her on her skills.

Rogue:"Have to admit, you handled yourself pretty well in there...what if the leaping and the dodging, perfect agility for a demon hunter."

She looked back over towards Sean after a moment.

Rogue:"Alright you, we'll head off to the Blackrose, but I swear, you better not even think of either collapsing on me, or starting up a fight, because then we are outta there in a jiffy, got that?"

SEAN
Cat actually blushed, her cheeks flushing faintly, she wasn't used to compliments, she recived many from men but then most of them would compliment anything that wasn't male. She wasn't sure how to react, relaising that Rogue was not the kind of woman to compliment where she did not think it was due. Cat looked away and then back at Rouge a rather nervous smile upon her face.

'Thanks.' the wordsperfect material for a demon hunter still rang in her head, feeling proud suddenly to have the gift she did. Agility wasn't a bad mutation she decided, she wasn't disfigured and it had already saved her life. She was glad she didn't have powers like Sean's eyes, in her estimation having lasers in your eyes might be good at destroying things but it meant he always had to wear glasses.

She watched as he walked, slightly favouring his uninjured side. Hoping that they could all get out of this with no more incidents but in reality she knew that it wasn't likley to happen.

CATHERINE
'Drusilla Sean, your property of Drusilla, girls were Angelus.' She said a little worried that he had spoken the wrong name. It was lucky that he had made that mistake now and not when the hand of a vampire was at his mouth. Shuddering slightly at the idea of a pair of fangs puncturing her own neck, tasting her blood. She put a hand upto her neck rubbing her skin while she tried to focus on something else.

SEAN
Sean glared at Cat, his eyes now visable to everyone locked to her's. "Angelus, Drusilla, whatever. I just want to get out from here and back home. You don't have to worry about me, i can handle myself and i won't start anything that will draw any attention to us, can we go now?"

Sean's mind was racing, he needed to show this Rogue that they were able to cope, but he felt that Cat sometimes undermind his attempts. He didnt hold it against her as she didn't know what he was thinking or what he was trying to do, she had been thrown into this without any priar chance to adjust to her new life.....

CATHERINE
ooc: NEW COMPUTER!!!! NEW COMPUTER!!!! *Sounds of happy screaming and hugging of new computer, aims swift kick at old laptop.*

Cat looked for a second like he had reached out and slapped her, then the old anger which had been fading from her eyes since she had been thrown through the portal returned. Her hands clentched into balls at her sides, her own eyes flashing angrily at him.

'I was only trying to help.' She snapped at him. She couldn't understand why he was so angry when she was trying to help her. She wondered suddenly why she had ever been nice to this .... boy .... mutant .... creature .... and what was she doing even contemplating that she could be a mutant. It was stupid the whole idea was just insane, as soon as they got home she was getting Riley to drive her to that town or village he had been talking about. She could never live around people like this, she was just too different, no they're just too different she thought angrily, slipping her hands into her back pockets, in that way she had which just screamed "I'm not happy" and at the same time sliding back into her stroppy teenager role.

JENNIFER
(ooc-*Watches old lap top go flying and smashing into a wall*)

Rogue:"Well either am I!"

She yelled at the display before her, it was like watching Willow, Mark and Riley all yelling at each other, well..before the Initiative got to Riley. It was like everything was repeating themselves, next Cat would be turned into a vampire and Sean raised from the dead and cursed to be a ghost for the rest of his 'life'.

Rogue:"I've seen all this before, and it has to stop! I'm not going to have one of you turn into a vampire and the other a ghost or even worse, one of you might end up as a mindless soldier, coz trust me, this happens, everday, it happens, and it's going to keep happening as long as you people refuse to work together as a team!"

She could see it in Cat's eyes...they lost her, moments for Rogue was sure she was more relaxed, more accepting of this place and of herself, but now..

Rogue:"Sean, she was only trying to save you from an unpleasent muddle up, demon bars aren't the safest place to have name mix ups! You know what, I don't care! If Angelus and Drusilla are off in another world, GREAT ! I don't want them to come back! I don't care what they are doing!

I only care about Lost Angels, and right now, in this world, there is a girl waiting for me in the park who is most likely going to die because she is one of the chosen few who might become the next Slayer when I die! Not *if* I die, *when* I die, and right now, I'm wasting what little time I have, here, listening to you two bicker! If you want to come, come, if not, you know where the apartment is!"

Turning away from them, Rogue stormed off towards the bar, if there was one thing Logan was never able to teach her...it was how to control her temper..

TBC - Blackrose - The Demon Bar

CATHERINE
It was Cats turn to glare at Sean, her forehead drawn into an angry frown as Rogue started yelling. She had the uncanny ability to insite mutany and disorder in the ranks, however most of the time she wasn't even aware she was doing it. Her dark eyes flashed angry into his, a stray strand of copper hair falling into one of her eyes.

She nearly janked the hair from her head as she reached up irritably to push it being her ear. She shot him one last wrathful glance before she started after Rogue, her face sullen.

She wanted to go home, she didn't want to be here, she just wanted to wake up and for all this to be a dream, to wake up in her own small room with the rain beating against the window, in the way that made you felt cosy and warm and you jsut wanted to snugggled down into the covers and not get up.

She kicked out swiftly at a large pebble as she walked, ridding herself of some of her pent up anger, the stone skittered across the floor, bouncing off into the darkness. her mind upon what Rogue had said not "if" when she couldn't help feeling sorry for Rouge, stuck here in a world like this inhabited by vampires with no sun, only eternal darkness.
