The Salem Mall - Girls Shopping Spree
The girls had pulled up, Angela had grabbed the car Cody got her to drive down to the Dying star tomorrow night, she wasn't overly fond of how clean and well kept the car was, mainly because it made her nervous incase she scratched or spilt something on the light cream leather interior. The red car pulled to a stop in the parking lot near the front entrance, the girls hopping out and a beep heard as Angela locked the doors.
"We better hurry, we have classes tomorrow, wouldn't want to get home too late!" Now classes for Angela resulted in anything that involved as little work as possible.. not because she wasn't smart, she always made sure to take up a real class every semester (this semester it was General Science). But she adored Drama, and since the classes where offered, why shouldn't she just have as many drama classes as possible? Most of her classes involved music, dancing, and drama, though she also did foreign languages and martial arts as well as her special singing lessons. Dance wasn't really her most favorite of subject, but still, it was fun sometimes, especially if she had her friends, and Cody was her dance partner.. But that's only because he got really upset when Tristin was assigned to be her dance partner in the class, Cody actually dropped any classes he had during her dance lessons and joined her in the class.
Angela didn't even really know Tristin outside of classes, but that was typical Cody.. jealous over anything and suspicious about everything else. Sometimes Angela got really embarrassed when people asked her about her classes, especially since she had someone like Riley as a friend, and Cody as a boyfriend. Between the two of them, both who have six classes a day and all really difficult ones, it was sometimes awkward to say she just spent her time in Drama or singing. But Angela wouldn't change a thing, she loved Drama and loved singing and she wanted to be a Singer/Actress when she was older so who cares what others think!!
"Okies, so.. let's get our clothes first! I need some new pants and a black dress.. I think I've got everything else.. what about you guys? Got any ideas on anything you want to wear to the nightclub?" Really, Angela hardly ever dressed up unless it was a special occasions or they where going out somewhere fancy, so she was excited with all this since she didn't do it often. Patting down her light jeans as she waited for their answers, she suddenly wished she didn't leave her jean jacket in the cat, her beige top wouldn't keep her overly warm when they left the center later on at night, which was just in an hour.

For the entire car ride Lauren couldn’t help but think about the story that Angela had told her. Vampires really existed? Sure, she had wondered once or twice if it was possible after finding out that she was mutant, and now it was just confirmed that they were real. Then the element-absorbing mutant went on to tell about her friend, Riley, who had lost his memory. She’d seen him just before and hoped it would return, it must be hard to have people to come up to you and know who you are yet you don’t know a thing about them. Lastly she mentioned the guy who had fish scales, a blue tail yet still had human parts to him. It was easy to tell that there would be more to this school than just lessons and learning how to control your power…
"We better hurry, we have classes tomorrow, wouldn't want to get home too late!" By now Lauren was out of the car and following Angela and Shalimar to the front entrance of the mall. She had had only a few days of classes last week, since starting them on Wednesday. They didn’t go to bad, she had tried to choose subjects that she had at her old school, but some of the other classes here were more interesting than the ones back in Australia, so she couldn’t help but choose them. The main thing was that she got art. That had to be her favourite subject, she didn’t always draw or paint in that class though, only when she felt like drawing. She mainly loved to work with clay. She liked it how at the start it was just a slab, not really worth anything, then once you get your hands to work it can turn out into almost anything, from pots and bowls to wonderful sculptures!

Got any ideas on anything you want to wear to the nightclub?" Well, she didn’t need any tops, she had enough of them although if she saw a nice one she wasn’t going to hesitate to buy it. Most of her pants consisted of jeans and three-quarters, though none of them were really ideal for something fancy. Maybe she could buy a nice pair of pants, but the whole dress thing… maybe she could work her way up to a dress, start of with a skirt. She’d have to get a photo of her in a skirt and send it back home, she could just picture what would happen when her Mum saw the photo, a phone call for her would be through straight away!
Lauren: "I need a nice pair of pants and maybe a skirt. Know where all the good shops are?"
She asked, clearly ready to shop, after all it’s one of the things girls are made for! She had her wallet in her back pocket, which felt weird. A few of her friends always had them in their back pockets, but Lauren always used bags, mainly using her black shoulder bag, or a her nice brown Roxy handbag that her Grandpa had brought for her one birthday. Her right hand slipped back and felt the pocket, just making sure her wallet was still there, it could easily fall out and Lauren was beginning to get paranoid over losing it.
"If using my power to help my Footy team is cheating, I guess I can’t give myself a little luck before my Science Test then?"

Got any ideas on anything you want to wear to the nightclub?"Lauren seemed to have a idea on what she wanted right away but Shalimar was still undecided,she hated dressing up because it wasnt her style and liked being her own person.She was more of a independent girl happy with her body and her clothes reflected it with a little of her own personality put in.
Lauren: "I need a nice pair of pants and maybe a skirt. Know where all the good shops are?"
Shalimar: "To be honest Lauren I dont go to this mall very often well to tell you the truth I dont go to malls that often but as far as I can remember there,s a couple really nice stores a little down as for me Im more into my own stuff so Im really looking for a couple pairs of jeans maybe a couple other things..."Shalimar said smiling she was preety anxious to see Angela on stage and what she could do,Shalimar herself wasnt a singer she usually let her music go by the strings of a guitar which she wasnt to bad at.
Re: The Salem Mall - Girls Shopping Spree "Dawn and Garnet spend most of their lives down here, I don't really come here to shop for clothes very much.." The novice singer admitted as her eyes followed where Shalimar had hinted some nice stores where. It wasn't always Angela's style, go go out and buy everything she wants, she preferred trying to enjoy everything she has and make the best use out of them. The first store they entered - which Angela had no idea what it was called, she never paid any attention to store names - was filled with a collection of nice pants and pretty dresses and skirts. It also had very fancy jeans, but Angela wasn't sure if they where the style Shalimar enjoyed so they'd probably have to swing by a special jean store or something.
"They have a pet store here, when I first came from Australia, I was little upset, so this boy called Connor, plus a few others, pinched in together and got me a puppy, I called him Troy." Actually the pet store was just in sight, hard to see since it was so far off, but Angela knew it was there in the distant, she looked rather sad as she remembered Connor's disappearence, it's like everyone she cared about was disappearing!!
"Today was really bad.. first Riley returns and at first I thought that was good but he doesn't remember anything, and earlier this morning this really tall guy kidnapped Connor and Talia.." Her fingers fiddled with one of the black dresses, it was kinda low cut and although it was pretty she wasn't overly keen on wearing such a low cut dress.. The last sentance kinda slipped out and she bit her lower lip, wondering if she was allowed to tell anyone about the disapparence. Well.. it wasn't like she said A.Corp did it, she wasn't even sure the teachers wanted her to know that!

Although what they considered fashion was certainly not what most people liked to wear… then again everyone was different.
As Angela talked about how Dawn and another girl loved to spend their time down here, Lauren looked around the shop they had just entered. Her eyes just skimming over the dresses, there was no need to really look in detail with them since she wasn’t too keen on buying one. The skirts looked better anyway and the pants, a few racks seemed a little too fancy for her taste but, there were some racks that seemed to appeal to Lauren’s taste.
"They have a pet store here, when I first came from Australia, I was little upset, so this boy called Connor, plus a few others, pinched in together and got me a puppy, I called him Troy." Lauren wondered if they could go and visit the pet shop, she could never walk past the pet store without going in, but seeing the sad look on Angela’s face told her that she could have a look the next time she came here. For a moment she remembered her own dog, Sunny, and wondered how she was going.
"Today was really bad.. first Riley returns and at first I thought that was good but he doesn't remember anything, and earlier this morning this really tall guy kidnapped Connor and Talia.." By now Lauren was looking through a rack of skirts opposite from the dress Angela was looking at, but once she heard about the two people being kidnapped she turned around. That explained the sad face when she mentioned Connor before. She wanted to help out somehow although she didn’t even know these people let alone know how to find them, maybe if she started off with something small like trying to cheer Angela up that might help.
Walking away from Angela and Shalimar for a moment she made her way over to the pants. Although she wasn’t sure on what type of pants Angela liked Lauren had a pretty good taste of matching clothes to people. She flicked through a rack of pants, ignored the ones that she wanted, pulled out the ones she thought would suit Angela and hurried back to the two other mutants.
Lauren: "These pants are so you!"
Sure, it wasn’t really the best way of cheering someone up, but it was something and the only thing that came to her mind. Knowing Lauren, she’d probably end up thinking of much better ways to cheer up Angela once she got back to the institute, but this was okay for now and if it got her mind off thinking about all the terrible things that had happened recently that would be enough. She looked down to the pile of pants that she had draped over her right arm, there seemed to be more there than she thought.
Lauren: "… Okay, so there’s a lot of pants! Why not sort though them and choose the ones that you want to try on and I’ll put the rest back."
She didn’t mind having to go back to the rack to put the ones Angela didn’t want back. She didn’t mind if she didn’t want all of them, Angela may have a totally different taste to what these pants were. And if she did go back to he clothes rack she could also find those few pairs of pants she saw before.

Grinning, completely pushing aside the unwanted thoughts, Angela a took hold of the pants, what can one say about Angela? ..She's very easily distracted. Since she was singing, Angela would of course have to wear something eye catching, so she didn'y disappear up on the stage. Disappearing into the change rom after grabbing up some tops, she emerged once, staring in the mirror at the black pants and red top, then disappeared back to change once again. Reappearing in dark blue jeans that where covered in glitter down the botten, still in the red dress, she scrunched up her nose and hurried back into the dresser to remove them and try another pair of pants and a new top.
In a pair of black jeabs that had very faint silver glitter sawn into it, small silver metal studs around the rims of the pockets and around her waist, a dark purple and black tye-dye top with a silver halo on the front. Tilting her head from one side to the other as she twisted her body to see all possible angles before checking the price tag and then heading back into the change room. Returning in a new set that was another red top, with with a small black demon that had faint red glitter over it. Her pants where very dark purple, almost black, again her nose gave a tiny scrunching before hiding once again and changing her pants, it wasn't that they looked terrible.. she just wasn't looking for that style.
Returning with the same top but new pants, black and silky / satan in touch, she a shimmery dark purple look when the light struck it. She tilted her head but didn't seem 100% fond of it, actually.. it was alright.. she didn't have a pair like this.. maybe with another top it'd look better, and a nice top that suits it more. Finally changing into her old clothes, she handed her black jeans and those pants, plus her red devil top and her black and purple tye-dye top.
Handing out her credit card out as she approached the lady who stood behind the cash register, as she took the card and swiped it, Angela glanced back for Lauren and Shalimar to see what they where up to.

Honestly, what was she thinking? How on earth would handing new clothes to someone make them feel better? Well, Lauren was never really that good at making people feel better when they were down, she always felt that she made things worse, and her friends had a habit of coming to her when they had problems, it wasn’t as if Lauren could solve every problem in the world… but seriously would clothes have made her feel better if she was in the same position as Angela?
Her question was left to be answered later as she saw Angela take the pants… Well at least she didn’t make things worse. Watching her wander off to the changing rooms she looked to Shalimar and wondered what kind of clothes she would buy before she went back to looking through the racks of clothes. She picked out a few of pants that she saw before and a couple of skirts, one was a pleated denim one which looked nice, much better style than her old pleated school skirt, the other was a long black one with coloured stars in a pattern on the bottom left.
She wandered off to another changing room and tried on the pants first, grabbing two different sizes since she always picked the wrong size, pants just had a habit of changing sizes with her. She randomly went out of her room checking the pants, obviously at different times as Angela since she didn’t see her through her trips to the mirror. It was good Lauren had a great imagination because the pants didn’t really go well with her pink top but she could just picture different tops with the pants to see if it was worth a buy.
After trying on the skirts she placed the denim one back, nothing she had would really go with it and she didn’t really like the look of it once she tried it on, she made her way to the cash register to see that Angela had just paid for her clothes. She pulled out her wallet and pulled out her credit card, she’d never used one before she normally kept money in her wallet but at least didn’t have to worry about carrying loose change anymore.
Lauren: "This shop’s great!"
She said before quickly thanking the girl behind the register as she took her bag of clothes, slipping her wallet in the bag, that way she wouldn’t lose it.
