The Squee
My theory is lots of Squeeze songs have a "Squee", a repeated lyrical hook that crops up away from the chorus. A juicy phrase such as "and that's all that I recall" in Domino. There are some brilliant ones which evoke so much satisfaction, that I can't quite remember offhand....what dyou reckon?

Would the "Piccadilly" backing vocals qualify or do they count as a chorus? You Know, "her heart like a gun..."

How about "used to beee" in "Periscope"?

There's nothing for it, I'll have to have another good listening session :smokin

Piccadilly is a classic "Squee" . . . well, I think it is - I've not heard that particular term before!

I just think that there are too many to choose from - I always get stumped when I see these kind of posts as my mind tends to go blank. Wicked and Cruel springs to mind though . . .
