The Wolf and Firkin Policy
Official Policy:

ON POSTING

1. The Law: Do not contravene US or UK law, or the rules of EZBoard. Read the EZBoard main web page to find a better idea of their policy. Any user contravening this rule will be Warned, and the offending post will be removed.

2. Flaming: Be respectful of the other posters. They are here to have fun and discuss things rationally. Therefore, no flaming is allowed. Flaming is defined as a direct insult or attack on the character of any poster. If you are flamed, DO NOT respond in kind. Instead notify a Moderator of the forum in which you were flamed if the Moderator has not already responded. Flaming will result in a warning.

3. Trolling: Trolling is defined as posting specifically to draw someone else into flaming you. Anything posted with the sole intent of "stirring up trouble" and getting other posters to react in a negative fashion NOT allowed. Trolling will result in a warning.

4. Spamming: Spamming is defined as posting several posts of little or no content, or posting in a forum which was not intended for the subject of a thread. Anyone found spamming will be warned.

5. Expletives: We have disabled the expletive filter apart from some specific words. If you feel a particular word to be offensive, no matter what context it is used in, then please notify a mod/admin in QSF, and if need be it will be filtered.

ON THE INTERNATIONAL FORUMS

For the majority of the board, the language of posts should be English, although non-English text is allowed with translation. The exception to this is the International section. Posts here may be made in any language, as long as the language name is included in the topic subject. For posts in multible language, use "Multilingual". Threads not adhering to this form will be renamed by an administrator so that they comply.

ON NO MAN'S LAND

When posting in No Man's Land, members should be as considerate of the views of others as possible. Members should back up their arguments with evidence.
The Administrators are aware of, and encourage, heated debate in this forum. However, flaming without substantial argument will be considered as per standard flaming policy. This means that a post should consist of reasons why you are against someone's opinion rather than a statement that they are wrong.
Any contraversial threads not posted in this forum will be moved to this forum.
Moderators and administrators will usually leave this forum alone unless they see something posted which contravenes UK or US law, or EZBoard policy.

ON MODERATORS AND ADMINISTRATORS

1. Moderators: Mods will police the Fora to which they have been assigned and if needed will issue warnings for inappropriate behavior or close inappropriate threads. When Mods issue a warning they are to post a warning notice in the Mods and Admins Forum so that the Admins are aware of the warning. They should also notify the user they have warned in the offending thread.

2. Administrators: Admins will make sure the Mods are doing their jobs and act as Mods in Fora that have no specific Mod assigned. Admins will ban and unban posters as required. If you have a problem with a warning given by a Mod, contact an Admin for resolution. When an Admin bans a member a thread will be posted in the Announcements section and then subsequently closed. Any complaints or issues regarding bans should be discussed in the Questions, Suggestions and Feedback forum.

ON WARNINGS AND BANS:

1. Warnings: A Moderator will notify anyone who is warned by posting to that effect in the offending thread. They will also notify the Administration in the Moderation and Administration forum. Any problems with a warning should be discussed in Questions, Suggestions and Feedback.

2. Bans: Only Admins have the power to ban individuals. Bans will be issued for the following durations based on the number of warnings a member has received.
3 Warnings: 48 hours
6 Warnings: 1 week
9 Warnings: 1 month
12 Warnings: Permanant ban
Warnings will come off a posters record after 3 months.
