The Wolf and Firkin/Trek Talk/Terran BBS
Hello everyone, welcome to the new BB for the Wolf and Firkin! Thanks to Defiant_13 for allowing us to use his CSC board; it's much nicer here.
There'll be a transition period, where mods/admins/members from the three bulletin boards mentioned in the topic can get used to our being here, and the Wolf and Firkin will remain open <but mostly archived> until we can decide if the move is successful.
If the move is successful we will archive the Wolf and Firkin completely <we won't delete your old threads>. If not, we have the old threads in the archives and will be able to use the forums again.
I know this is a sudden move, and I realise that members of Miss Chicken's Hideout may be unhappy at moving *again*, but I felt that we would have an easier time here than there.
If you have any queries regarding the move, you can reply here(? Defiant, care to correct/comment?) or in the Feedback forum.
Mods and Admins will remain the same as in TW&F, and we still have our chat room, with several notable exceptions:
I will be reducing the mod count for each forum to ONE mod, this may mean some mods will be dropped from the staff, or that each mod has less to do <personally I prefer the latter option>.
We welcome Defiant_13 to the Admin staff, since it's his board we're using.
Hi all, and let me welcome you all to the new home of The Wolf And Firkin.
If you are wondering why we have chosen to move the board, it is because this board currently has a few months of CSC Gold running, which means that you will have to put up with no more adds (for a time) and a quicker server speed.
You'll all have to give me some time to do some work on making this board a little more polished, and sorting out these Klingon ranks (Star Trek).

so was i wasting my time when i replyed to threads yesterday, or made an hello thread... I don't really understand, where the threads moved here?
And why do you say Terran BBS? That wasn't moved was to this BBS was it? Why???
I think I liked the order of the forums better at the old site, it put the members forums, ahead of like, QS&F, and announcements and stuff, it was different.

Jim has decided to move because of the fact Defiant has time left on this board as a CSC board (meaning no ads, more options) and was no longer using it. Defiant is allowing us to use the board, although Jim is not 100% sure if this is just a trial or permanent.
As for the format, I believe it is best to have the "business" threads at the top so that people will see them and notice any new announcements. However, if we remain here Jim and Defiant may or may not rearrange the format to resemble what we are used to.
As for your threads on the other board, I am not sure if Jim will move any of them here or not (can't remember if he has said or not), however you can copy and paste and start a new thread here with the same things you said in the other one.
For now Jim has decided to leave the other board open. Everyone is free to continue posting there for now, but the overall fate for TWAF is still hazy at this point (based on what I have read from Jim.)

Well, I'm here now. I can't say I like the colors that much (especially the pink) but that's adjustable, of course. :)

wow... I just came over to find a lost thread in the old BR... and found this... I guess the thread is gone now, but never mind it's nice to see the old place is back up and running, even if it's compleatly differant.
