The Wounded Hessian Soldier
I live, write, and make music in a house that was built in 1750, and which is haunted by a number of spirits. The most notable is a wounded Hessian soldier who appears at the gate and walks over to the back door, then stops, as if asking for help. Then he comes inside and vanishes...whether or not the door is actually opened.

As we live in one of the oldest areas of Boston, I'm not surprised at this. We figure that this soldier was wounded in the Revolutionary War, and that whoever was living here was sympathetic to the British cause and let him in. We're also afraid that the poor guy died within the house. There's an energy vortex in the basement, but we don't know if this particular manifestation has any connection.

Welcome to the Castle, Sassure!

Thank you for sharing the story about the soldier. Have you done any research about the house?

I'd love to hear more! :hi
