The wonderful city at play *takes place after time leap*
Ray Stenbuck, also known as Syndicate, had managed to find his way, though there were many roadblocks, to the Xavier Institute like his mother wanted him too. But, he has yet to take any classes. As a matter of fact, he has yet to do anything there except lounge around. Even Ray himself didn't even know when he would start doing some activities around the school. But, at the moment, that wasn't even on his mind.
The young man, utilizing his symbiotes copied powers of Spider-Man, was attached to the side of a building. It wasn't just any old building. Months before, he was pounced by a woman who was very similar on this building. Months ago, he attempted to fight someone who outclassed him in anyway. Sure, he had memories about it, constantly. This building made them more potent at the moment. Although he was visualizing the events, he wasn't paying much attention to his own thoughts. He was too busy focused on the city.
His right arm extends out, and where his wrist meets his hand, a thing, black substance launches itself from the center of his wrist area. The black web-like substance attaches to the side of another building, and off Ray was, swinging, enjoying it like it was his first time. He was covered in his alien suit from head to toe, not wanting anyone to recognize him. He doubted anyone wanted to pay attention to him, though. Storm clouds were gathering, and it would rain soon.
Letting go of his line, the young man goes into some sort of contorted, spiraling flip. While descending, the boy raises his left leg up, and brings his left arm from under it, shooting off another line. Since he was now in a compromising position without much mobility of his arm, he flips, correcting his swinging posture and starts to sail across the air. He aims his right arm, and shoots another strand of black webbing to a building right across the street. His body jerks, and he's flung back some. Utilizing his mental control over his symbiote, the legs of the suit launch out back wards like some sort of ooze and attach to a building, pulling him back wards. It seems as if the webbing he's grasping was about to give, due to it being stretched near its limit. That's how Ray wanted it.
His elongated costume returns to its normal bounds around Ray's body. The sudden loss of support to the buildings creates a slingshot affect with the strands of webbing. Ray is then thrown forward, and he sails across the sky, reaching speeds of at least 70 miles per hour, a WOOHOOO!!!! chant echoing throughout the area. With his energy powers intact, he couldn't even fly this fast. For moment, he lets down his symbiotic mask to feel the gust of air in his face. As it started to become too much, his mask forms back over his face and he shoots off another line of webbing. His body jerks due to the sudden stop, and his inertia swings him at the building. Ray was expecting that. Before smacking full force into the building, his symbiote oozes forward and smashes into the building, cushioning his impact before reforming.
As his mind corrects itself for his current situation, he starts to climb up the side of the building, which wasn't that far from the Empire State Building. He does so slowly, still trying to recover from his last adrenaline rush. Upon reaching the building rooftop, he rests in a crouching position. He could hear thunder and lightning crackling above, then feels the soft spray of water. Lightning crackles once again, and rain picks up, pouring intensely. Ray wouldn't let the rain bother him. This was only the beginning of his day.
Re: The wonderful city at play *takes place after time leap*
Half hoping to find Arisa lurking about the city streets, Arlen had taken a brave move and decided for the first time to travel out into the thick of the polluted New York City and stalk the streets on the prowl for his beloved Arcane, the youngest daughter of Wolverine. She felt unwelcome at the school and spent most of her time living with the undead vampires, Spike and Angel, in the Renaissance Hotel in downtown New York, Arlen didn’t know the exact location so he couldn’t go directly there to find her. Arisa was only now talking with him again, the last two months had been rather tense, and their time together was only mere moments before she’d disappear off again. He did not understand why she was so furious over him having saved her life… he had not intentionally done so, and is unaware for he managed it, being a merman blessed him with natural enchantments in both mind, body and soul, most of which Arlen was not even aware of. She had no right to blame him for anything, it was her love that kept him alive when he was dying of despair and misery and it wasn’t fair her love and his enchanted healing empowered silver blood triggered a reaction in her that helped her stay alive, and her Demonic Guardian Angel had some part in her still being around as well! William had helped heal her, she wasn’t angry at him, she looked as if she was having a splendid time running around causing trouble with her demonic friends… not that the sea Angel was jealous or anything…
Unfortunately for Arlen, valiant efforts of entering the dreaded city of humans changed nothing of his weakness towards the pollution that chocked the air, he felt light headed and ill, weak and drained of energy, the large metal beasts that sped by him on those dangerous pathways that people seem to bravely cross so easily spewed out horrendous fumes. Eventually Arlen slipped into the back ally’s of the city, weaving through the more deserted areas, he didn’t realize how negative a reaction people would take towards his almost demonic appearance. The merman had adopted Arisa’s features, more then just her blue tail now, the Prince of the Seas possessed her indigo fur that now covers his entire body, pointed ears and pronounced fang-like canine teeth. His spine is more flexible than an ordinary human being's, even as a merman he was far more agile and flexible, but now he was even greater then ever before, allowing him to perform contortionist-like feats that now make it hard to image he had been unable to even walk on his newly formed legs six months ago.
Bright icy diamond blue eyes now slit like a felines in order to allow him to see better, though his pupils were large and around at the moment to allow more light in, when brighter lights flashed by in the distance they’d become thin to block out the blinding light as best as possible. His long arrow headed tail flicked about being him as he walked, it was impossible to find her like this, and ever creature he asked either did not feel comfortable talking with him or had not seen anything matching Arisa’s descriptions recently. The Princes hair had grown slightly more over the two months, dropping about his shoulders now, also having altered its shade to an indigo colour like his fur. He wasn’t always like this, sometimes he’d look human, as usual he kept the tail still and now he was keeping his hair the blue colour as well.
With a feel of hopelessness setting in, Arlen glanced up at the tall buildings, if he could get up there he might have a better chance of spotting the shape shifter that he was searching for! He wasn’t even considering the fact she might be in hiding, Arisa wasn’t always lurking about the city streets in her normal form, often she was an animal of some kind but Arlen wasn’t going to let himself think he couldn’t find her.
With a renewed determination, Arlen began to scale one of the buildings, placing his hands lightly on the rough surface and shortly after his body adjusting to this new demand by producing strong clear ‘glue’ like substance on both his hands and feet so he was able to climb with relative ease. He had never been so high before, his tail gently swaying behind him as his body ascended towards the rooftops, but once he heaved himself over the edge and onto the roof, he found himself at a loss on what to do next.
Well there was one thing he could do, but he hated shifting, it hurt, and he’d not shifted like this more then twice in the past month, but that wasn’t something he shouldn’t worry about! He had to just focus on his objective.. focus on finding Arisa, she had to learn of her family’s disappearance, she had to learn that they were missing and might be in danger, and he had to be the one to tell her!
Taking a moment to remove the bothersome white t-shirt he had on, the Prince’s fur body more then enough to keep him warm, he only wore clothes because it is expected of humans to do so, he found they only got in the way, so didn’t understand why they had such a passion to cover themselves. Once the shirt was discarded, he hopped up onto the edge of the building, first looking up at the heavily clouded sky and then peering down at the distant streets below. Spreading out his arms while he crouched down, the young Prince felt the familiar burn of his body shifting, the bones splitting and growing from his shoulder and spin and his now blue pigmented skin spanning out between his waist and the newly forming wing structure, forming a new set of wings that were similar to that of the bat that Arlen had once seen. He has not flown before… more like fell a few feet, his friend Scott Freeman was going to help him learn how to use his newly discovered ability of flight, but the merman had not had many chances to practice. Able to adapt to any environment, water, land or air, Arlen was going to prove to Arisa that he was worthy a companion and he would train and fight hard to show her that he could protect her from anything that dared harm the blue furred enchantress.
Well he was high up, if anything he’d have a better chance of being seen, especially if he plummeted to the ground, he wouldn’t die, he was immortal in that sense; only emotional pain was harmful for him. But he still didn’t want to push his luck and take any test dives for the heck of it, if he knew one thing now, it was that pain often really, really hurtful. Though it took a few moments for his arms to turn into the bat like wings and his bones even altered to become lighter, it took another short space of time just for him to recover from the transformation.
Once leaping from the edge of the building, the Prince, who by human standards appeared about his 16th or 17th birthday right now, was in fact just over 1200 years, but as far as his people were concerned he was still a child, and the Prince often acted no more then a playful spirit, though recently his playfulness has not been a as common a sight as his determination to his training. Right now the merman could not fly, if he tried to flap his wings he knew he would simply fall like last time, but gliding was easy, and he was used to the water currents, so he adapted pretty well to the air currents.
It was easier to glide for a while, and whenever he lost an air current he was traveling on and couldn’t find another one, he’d just land on a rooftop, run across it, leap off the edge and then his powerful legs would propel him into the air and within a minute he’d be gliding again. It was fun, and he wouldn’t lie that part of him was enjoying this and hoping that maybe when things were not so serious Arisa would play with him up here, his eyes darted about, searching for any signs of the blue pelted mutant.
It wasn’t far into his new method of searching that the rain began to drizzle down from the heavens above, Arlen’s hydro kinesis disorientated him slightly since he could feel the water’s essence all around him, the merman never used his hydro kinesis to fight anyway, he didn’t realize how amazing his natural abilities that his fathers family took for granted really were. With he often was seen using his abilities for the water by having them take form, he didn’t realize how great a potential weapon they could be since he could solidify the watery creations and literally use them as fighters he can control from a distance.
When the downpour grew heavier there was a lapse in concentration, the water also soaked his body and made him heavier, the added fact he has not been caught flying in the rain made everything all the more confusing for him. When he basically dived down onto one of the roofs, half landing half sliding to a stop on all fours, his tail lashing about wildly behind him at the rough landing, it wasn’t long to realize he was a guest in someone else’s space.
There was a slight laughter from Arlen who had bubbled up with excitement from the thrill of gliding, so similar to swimming, the muddled up attempt only made him more eager to learn how to control this flying ability. The newly formed wings cuddled snuggly against Arlen’s back as steadily tried to get to his feet, they felt odd, and he could already tell he was not as agile with them as he was without, unlike the tail, it was an additional body feature he was not willing to tolerate permanently. There was a pause in thoughts since this creature did not look at all human, only in shape, Arlen did at one point look completely human, aside from the scales about his waist and thighs that were hidden beneath his clothes, and then he had taken on Arisa’s tail almost instantly. But this creature did not even have a face! At least a face like a human had…
“Are you human?” The Prince's diamond blue eyes stared at the stranger cautiously and yet at the same time the black figure seemed to be waiting around, maybe he had been watching the area below, if so then he might have been able to have seen Arisa! Arlen was told not to speak with demons or humans outside the school, but normally Arlen has realized that he is able to sense demons, he can sense Arisa as well, just the link was so faint right now he only knew that she was in a general direction, but he had no idea how far or close she was, soon the link will get much stronger, but for now he had to cope with scouring the city streets for her.
..I can't hate you.. there is only love in my heart for you Arisa, no matter the cost..
Re: The wonderful city at play *takes place after time leap*
Ray was just about to let his symbiotic form release another webline to a building below when he heard a voice mutter a sentence. "Are you human?" He was just about to laugh when instead, he turns his head to the newcomer, who he himself, didn't look human at all. It didn't startle him, though. The first thing that came to his mind was that this fellow was a mutant, and his appearance was due to some strange mutation.
The man's question almost fell on deaf ears, but a thunderbolt up above caused his mind to repeat the young mans words: "Are you human?".
Well, of course he was, he wondered why anyone would even ask such a question, so he stared, not completely at this newcomer, but everywhere, trying to figure out a way to answer the question. All he could think of was that he was looking way too deep into the question. So, he turns his body completely around, facing the strange looking newcomer, and leaps through the air. For Ray, it seemed like he was moving in slow motion as he disrupted the spring rain's flow to the ground. But, it was actually no more than two seconds, and he lands on the rooftop once again, splashing the water beneith him. "Why, yes I am," Ray announces as he raises up, standing to his full height. "I can see why you would ask such a question," Ray mutters, following up with his last statement as his symbiotic mask seemingly peels away from his face, revealing its features. "Names Ray, Ray Stenbuck. So, mister, I got a question for you now: are you human?"
Re: The wonderful city at play *takes place after time leap*
The male seemed to be pondering the question, Arlen's eyes drifted to admire the water that was pooling on the unever roof in certain sections. The merman could feel the essence of the water, the power it generated and the feel of home it brought to him, it was all causing such a nice feeling to well up within him.
The young man turned around to face Arlen, the Prince creeping a step back with the sudden movement of the other as he leapt into the air and landed before the mythical creature of the seas. Like most land dwellers that Arlen has seen up in this forbidden world, the stranger handled himself with agile grace, much like that of Connor, Arisa and Riley during the training sessions Arlen has had with them, though Riley is very tall and of a large build so he was not as swift as these others.
"Why, yes I am," Arlen was still getting used to the complex human language, 'Why' indicated a question of some sort, so he was slightly puzzled as to why the man had replied in that way, though figured he was asking why Arlen had requested if he was human. "I can see why you would ask such a question," Not entirely understanding the meaning behind that remark, Arlen simply smiled as his tail swayed. The tips of his newly formed wings grew relazed and lazily draped to the ground since he wasn't used to them and the effort needed to keep them firmly tucked away on his back. "Names Ray, Ray Stenbuck. So, mister, I got a question for you now: are you human?" 'Mister'? That was an odd name, why did this Ray think Arlen's name was Mister?
"I am not called 'Mister'," He stated with a slightly amused tone, "Do I look human?" There was a hint of excitement about him, the long tail flickering about eagerly, Arlen wasn't sure what a human really looked like, they seemed to all be able to look so different, blue nes ,yellow ones, pink ones, furry and skinned and even scaled ones like himself! After realizing he had gotten distracted he quickly added "I am not human," The way he made it sound was as if Ray ought to have known that simply by looking at him. Arlen was still not aware that most humans considered his people a myth that only existed in the stories that they tell their children.
Shifting about slightly, Arlen mimicked the human and stood up as well in case crouching down was impolite, he was far too used to playing around with Arisa, and being unable to walk for so long ment most of their time was down on all fours.
"But it is forbidden for me to speak with humans outside of Xavier's, the teachers say not all humans are nice." trying to explain politely why Arlen was not permited to speak to this human, though he did appear pleasent enough, Arlen did not want to go against the wishes of those who were helping him.
"Have you seen an elegent human named Arisa, I look like her, only she is female and she has eyes like your forests," It can't be bad to ask him if he has seen Arisa, after all, it wasn't really talking.. it was more like a quick passing chat, he woudn't say much to the stranger and the other one did not even know Arlen's name.. Which Arlen now felt bad for, the boy had called himself Ray, Arlen had already forgotten his last name but it was impolite not to introduce yourself in his world. It was confusing now, part of him wanting to be polite and another part wanting desperately not to go against the requests of those who had taken him into their home.
..I can't hate you.. there is only love in my heart for you Arisa, no matter the cost..
Re: The wonderful city at play *takes place after time leap*
Ray has been in ockward situations before in his life, but out of them all, this one ranked in the top 10, so far. This person, or what looked like a normal person, was acting, in his opinion, very strange. Ray wasn't someone to just point things out like that, well, not when he's having a good day like today. He could easily brushed this person off when it was getting a little too weird, but he knew that was wrong, especially due to the emotions of this person. It was an incredibly odd situation, and it became even more odd when this young man seemed to be excitied....about something, which Ray could no figure out at the moment.
"I am not called 'Mister'." Okay, that was strikingly odd and confusing. Did this person actually think Ray thought his name was "Mister"? No, he was kidding. He had to be. He sensed the amusement in the mans tone, but for some odd reason, he knew he was serious when he said it. How could he be serious. This was stumping Ray just as much as it would another person. For all he knew, this character could have been some escapee from the looney bin, and out to kill just about anyone he comes across. Many odd thoughts started to flow through Ray's mind, before his process was interrrupted.
"Do I look human?" That was a a hard question to answer, and yet, it was simple. There were many mutants running around with odd mutations running around, and that's what Ray thought this young man was, a mutant. It was the only reason he thought nothing of it. But, by the question, he was leaning to the fact that this person was not a mutant. "I am not human." That threw him for a loop. So, he now knows that this person isn't human, so what is he? The first thing that popped into his mind was that he was a demon, but he wasn't sure.
"But it is forbidden for me to speak with humans outside of Xavier's, the teachers say not all humans are nice." Ah, so he's from Xavier's. Ray also goes to the mansion, jumping between there and his grandmothers home. But, he has not seen this person around there, probably because he's jumping between homes too much to even notice. Right before Ray was finally about to speak, this young man asked him a question. "Have you seen an elegent human named Arisa, I look like her, only she is female and she has eyes like your forests."
Sighing within his own mind, Ray decided to tackle these things one at a time. "You're not human, you looked like a mutant to me, oh well." Ok, that was one down, he had two more left. This person seemed careful about speaking to people outside of Xavier's, but hopefully, Ray could make him feel more comfortable. "Don't worry, I go to Xavier's, well sometimes. But, the teachers are right, not all humans are nice." Taking a long pause, he thinks before tackling the question. "Arisa, nope, I haven't seen her. Why are you looking for her? Did she get lost or something?" Ray was slowly becoming concerned. If the girl was lost, that wasn't a good thing, especially in New York.
Re: The wonderful city at play *takes place after time leap*"You're not human, you looked like a mutant to me, oh well." There was a proud look about him at this knowledge, he looked like a mutant.. and they were human right? Doesn't matter really, Arisa was a mutant, and he looked like one, that was all that mattered, soon enough he'll figure out a way to talk and act more properly like one. Though he didn't realize Arisa prefered his natural nature and personality towards the more human one he was trying to learn to mimic.
"Don't worry, I go to Xavier's, well sometimes. But, the teachers are right, not all humans are nice." That was good then! He wasn't going against any of the teachers wishes by speaking with this person, Arlen flicked his tail with a relieved feeling swelking inside of him. "Arisa, nope, I haven't seen her. Why are you looking for her? Did she get lost or something?" Lost? Arlen liked that word, it seemed so simple, is that what that is said when one runs away? They are called 'Lost'? The merman shrugged inwardly as he replied.
"Arisa no longer stays at the school, she stays with the demons, but I do not know where their ...hotel is," There seemed to be a hesitation as he tried to remember the name of the home Arisa had said she lived in now. "But it is not Arisa who is lost to us that we worry for, it is her brother and her sister, I wish to find Arisa so that she is aware her family is missing." Arlen seemed to become distracted with the pouring rain about him, since saving Arisa from her death by sharing half his soul with her, he has formed a faint emotional connection as well as a mental one. The feral had so many different and strong human emotions aside from love and playfullness which where the two stronger emotions of Arlen. It made everything feel so different, small things making him extremely, happy or sad, chuckle or be near tears, which asn't a good thing since he had only slowly recovered from almost crying his entire lifeforce from him.
The water made his fur wet and heavy, he shook his hand slightly and watched the water fling off his fingers and fur, it still seemed strange to him to see water act in such a way, he was so used it being completely surrounded by it. The blue fur soon disappeared from his body, ajusting so it wouldn't be soo hard to move about. Resulting in the excess water splashing down his skin and more thoroughly wetting his pants even more. His wings kept their blue pigmintation, even as his skin on his body and general appearence began to look more human. His blue whip like tail still lashing about his ankles and his indigo hair dripped with water from the rain.
"Do you know where 'hotel' is?" He didn't know that 'hotel' was used for the name of places that roomed people, and since New York was so popular with travelers, it was no surprise there were a countless amount of hotels scattered through the city.
..I can't hate you.. there is only love in my heart for you Arisa, no matter the cost..
Re: The wonderful city at play *takes place after time leap*
Demons, that single word nearly made his heart sink. The last demon Ray had met, he was captured by. He didn't think all demons were bad, no, not by a long shot, but the word just made him remember when he got captured. That, and Ray hasn't actually met any other demon since then, his only impression was one of tyranny. But, with effort, he managed to hide his scared emotions from his face. He wanted to help, but he didn't want to go out and find demons, not yet anyway. "But it is not Arisa who is lost to us that we worry for, it is her brother and her sister, I wish to find Arisa so that she is aware her family is missing." Her family is missing. He didn't know how or why, but this could mean that were taken by someone, but he didn't want to jump to conclusions.
Like the young man before him, Ray had become distracted by the pouring rain. He looks up at he sky, rain drops splattering on his face. A day like this is perfect to him, he loves the rain, but this newcomer brought worry to him. He didn't know what to do, and he was sure this kid didn't know either, he was acting like this world was brand new to him. Fixing his head to the person standing before him, he listens as he speaks: "Do you know where 'hotel' is?" Once again, he speaks, asking a question that is simple, but hard all at the same time.
"I think you misunderstood what someone has told you," Ray conveys to the figure before him, speaking in a tone that had a hint of concern in it. "You see, there is not just one hotel in this city. Since this place is quite large, there are many hotels here, and if you don't have a name of the hotel, then you're not going to do well to find her." He said, still speaking wit ha voice of concern. Speaking of names, he didn't know his yet, and Ray was pretty sure he didn't want to be called "blue boy'. "Speaking of names, you haven't told me your name yet. May I ask what it is?"
Re: The wonderful city at play *takes place after time leap*"I think you misunderstood what someone has told you," The Prince didn't like misunderstanding people, it tended to happen often, but more recently he had been getting better. He thought he might have put not understanding what people say behind him, it just meant he was still having trouble with their language and that meant that he wasn't good enough to blend perfectly into their world still. "You see, there is not just one hotel in this city. Since this place is quite large, there are many hotels here, and if you don't have a name of the hotel, then you're not going to do well to find her." There were many? Arlen's eyes turnward to scan the view around him, he was pretty sure she had told him the name at one point.. something Hotel.. but it was a big word and he didn't remember it..
"Speaking of names, you haven't told me your name yet. May I ask what it is?" Arlen glanced about for a moment and then placed the tips of his fingers thoughtfully against his lips as he looked back towards Ray. His tail swayed gently now, his bright eyes easily revealing the fact that he was thinking over the request.
"You are most welcome to ask for my name, and it is Arlen Sachiel, it is an honor to meet you," Placing his right hand lightly over his bare chest as he gave a small bow of his head to show respect while introducing himself. "Then, do you know where a Market in Harmony is, I was meant to find Arisa and take her there, but they did not tell where it was, and if I cannot find Arisa then I must leave her and help rescue her family." He sounded a little down at the fact that he would not be able to find Arisa, he would follow her back next time they meet up so that he knows where she lives.
..I can't hate you.. there is only love in my heart for you Arisa, no matter the cost..
Re: The wonderful city at play *takes place after time leap*
((Sorry for not posting. Computer problems))
"You are most welcome to ask for my name, and it is Arlen Sachiel, it is an honor to meet you," Ray gave a slight nod to Arlen as he did his little bow. He wasn't used to having people bow in his presence unless it was as a joke. He didn't know how to react, so he decided not to. As Arlen once again fixes his eyes upon Ray's person, he started giving Ray some weird vibes, like his was in a Cinderella movie, and Arlen was some prince looking for his missing princess. He softly grunts at the thought, and shakes his head.
"Then, do you know where a Market in Harmony is, I was meant to find Arisa and take her there, but they did not tell where it was, and if I cannot find Arisa then I must leave her and help rescue her family." Almost instinctly, Ray shifts his position as as he starts scanning the city horizion. It was strange really, it's not like he could exactly see the Harmony Market from his current location, but he did it, as if it were a sign that he knew where Harmony Market was. Various other people would know that this shift in position was signalling that he indeed knew where it was, but Ray knew Arlen was basically abnormal. He wasn't human, so he probably wasn't really accustomed to human body language. So, just in case he didn't understand what Ray meant by turning, he once again shifts his position to face him.
"Harmony Market, I know where it is," the symbiote-clad mutant boy replies to Arlen as he once again turns to look over the city horizon. By this time, the rain had stopped, leaving a damp Manhattan in its wake. With his hands, Ray combs through his hair, causing it to slick back, and in turn, getting the majority of the water out of it. "I'll show you the way. Do you know how to fly or something? It's gonna take a while for you to get there if you walk, and it'll be pretty hard for you to follow if you can't."
Re: The wonderful city at play *takes place after time leap*
ooc: That's alright, I hope you're comp troubles are fixed!
----------------
"Harmony Market, I know where it is," A lot of people tended to do that with their hands, place it on their hair, or their clothes or arms, and stroke off the water, Arlen found it amusing since he only recently realized how unique his hydrokinetic abilities where and that only a few mutants had the power. "I'll show you the way. Do you know how to fly or something? It's gonna take a while for you to get there if you walk, and it'll be pretty hard for you to follow if you can't." Arlen looked rather proud for a moment as he replied to Ray.
"I learnt to walk a few months ago, flying is a lot easier, like swimming in the currents of the sea, only you fly on the currents of air." He shifted about slightly as he added, "I will follow you.. though I have only tried flying once.." Once outside of the school without any help, twice inside the school he had help, but he didn't really fly, he just was shoved off a plateform and glided carefully to the ground.. usually with a crash landing of sorts.
He will find Arisa once her family is safe, even if he must hunt her down in every hotel, it would be easier for Arlen since he'd know which direction to go in, but the streets were so unfamiliar and polluted that it would cause him a lot of trouble to move about, especially with his odd apparence, and even if he looks more human, he always keeps his tail, whic draws attention to himself.
One day you'll realize that shutting our the world won't keep you safe..
Re: The wonderful city at play *takes place after time leap*"I learnt to walk a few months ago, flying is a lot easier, like swimming in the currents of the sea, only you fly on the currents of air." Good. Arlen knew how to fly. This little trip would go faster than he thought it would. He didn't want to walk all the way to Harmony Market, seeing how he's quite some distance away from it. Also, he's never carried someone else with him while he swung through the city, so that would have slowed the symbiotic mutant down. He nods to Arlen, and within seconds, his face is consumed by his alien symbiote.
"I will follow you.. though I have only tried flying once." Arlen said that right before Ray had the chance to shoot off a web line and leap off of the building. He's only tried flying once? Maybe things wouldn't go as smooth as he thought. Or maybe Ray wasn't giving Arlen enough credit. It didn't take long for him to get used to his symbiotic reflexes and swinging, and Arlen could be very well adapted to flying. He didn't think about it long after that, there was no need to. If Arlen wasn't too good at flying, he'd just have to slow down. Simple as that.
Turning to face Arlen, Ray nods to him. "Alright. I'll try not to go too fast, just incase you can't fly really fast," Ray conveys to Arlen as he extends his left arm out. He tenses his muscles in his hand, and squeezes. From the lower part of his hand, a black stand that looked like webbing luanches forward and attachces itself to a building some ways down. "Try to keep up." It was the last thing Ray said before leaping off of the building into a low swing over the ground. As he was coming back up, he lets go of his black webbing and soars high into the air. Once he got low enough, he'd shoot another line and keep going, also making sure he could see Arlen following close behind him.

"Alright. I'll try not to go too fast, just incase you can't fly really fast," It was interesting to stare at the now seemingly faceless human before him, Arlen judged a lot from someone’s facial expression without really noticing the habit until now with Ray's face hidden from him. "Try to keep up." Arlen eagerly tried to get onto his tippy-toes to see what was happening, what the human was doing without moving closer to the edge of the building. There was a startled look as the man leapt off the building, Arlen hurried to the edge and watched as he swung away, it looked like fun.. Arlen took a precious moment to glance at his own wrists curiously and then blinked and remembered he had to keep up with Ray.
The creature of the sea took a small run up to the edge and leapt off the building also, spreading his wings and catching one of the many currents that rushed between the tall buildings, though more weakly then out in the open, Arlen's now light weight body helped him glide easily enough. Using his abilities Arlen ripped the water from his body and was completely dry, making him even lighter as the water droplets fell to the streets far below.
The wind rushed against his face, his shoulder length indigo hair whipping about behind him as he flew, more focused on staying in the currents he could find then staying in a straight line, which meant his body was rising and falling along the paths of the air that were carrying him. At one point they had to turn, which Ray seemed to so easily do, just swinging into the other direction, his long black lines helping him become so mobile. Arlen himself however, who had no idea yet how to turn in mid air, ended up simply allowing his body to slam rather roughly into the building face, hitting the cement and then rebounding off the surfacing into the proper direction, taking a few moments before he managed to start flying again instead of falling.
There was an anxious flick of his tail as he glanced about, it felt so different now, and he felt so home sick, seeing the human world at this point of view reminded him of seeing his underwater kingdom from this height while swimming through the waters. He wondered what his father would say if he knew how many different things Arlen has learned up here.. probably nothing at all, since he felt disgraced by the fact his son was remaining in the human world instead of with his own people.
Arlen decided to focus on Ray completely after almost losing sight of the mutant as he swung around a building that was in their way. Arlen barely managed to follow since he hit the wall unprepared and dropped a few meters before pushing his body away and twisting about so his back was to the building, taking a minute before he was able to catch the proper rush of wind and glide after Ray, though he had to catch up, also the Prince was further below so he was trying to get higher which was proving to be more tiring in this new exercise.
Re: The wonderful city at play *takes place after time leap*
Twisting his body in ways some people deemed impossible, the young symbiote covered mutant let go of his web line, and engaged in a free fall. Turning his head somewhat, he took notice of the fact that Arlen was further behind than he thought he was. No matter though, Ray's little stunt will buy Arlen some more time to catch up, and then they will be off, heading towards Harmony once more. Shifting his attention back towards the pavement below, the young man continued to fall, seemingly not even worried about slamming head first into the ground.
He took notice of a flag pole three more yards further down, so he allowed himself to fall. He brings his arms to his side, and puts his legs closer together, allowing himself to fall faster. Anyone taking notice of what now is nothing of a black blur, would probably be scared. Scared for the fact that something is falling from the sky, and scared for the fact that for a brief moment, it was clearly visible that the blur had a human figure. But, there was truely no need to worry. Ray was only inches from completely passing the flag pole before he reaches up and grabs it as he fell. His body was rolled up as he grabbed it due to the fact he was falling head first and had to adjust himself.
Taking use of hims enhanced muscles, the symbiotic young man pulls himself up, and takes a moment to start swinging around on the pole like a gymnest, also taking notice that Arlen was indeed catching up. It was obvious that Ray enjoyed his symbiote, and would use it to have some fun whenever he had. This relationship with a symbiote could he called odd by others who once had this parasitic creature living off of them, as it usually tried to take over their being. Ray was one of the lucky few, although at the cost of his mutant abilities being weakened to a little less than half of what they could have been.
Once he took notice of Arlen was close enough to his person, Ray let go of the pole at the bottom of his swing. His momentum threw him up into the air. Once again, he twists his body in an odd fashion, then releases another web line, which attaches itself to the rooftop of a building perpindicular to his location. And with a push of his own body, which aided his inertia, Ray was off swinging again. He was thrown into the air as he came up from the bottom of his swing, and soon enough, he'd release another line and go off once again.
