Trial before the test - Meeting before the X-Teams Missions
The hour Mystique had given Shauna and Yuriko was almost up and of course Mystique was the first to arrive at the meeting room out of all of those she had requested to come. She had been there for the past few minutes just thinking over a few last things in her mind, like whether or not she should be joining them. Mystique wasn’t sure if she should let them do this on their own, or join them incase they needed the help.

She wanted this to be a test for them, to see if they are actually any good. After all, they were the best the Brotherhood had at the moment and she wanted them to prove their worth. Although, some of the more worse members had quite useful powers also and could be quite strong if they put their mind to it, but they were just enjoying this free home. Mystique could see this and if the more elite of the Brotherhood passed their test she was going to lock down and rid the free loaders. Though now they were serving a purpose now, for if they failed the more incompetent ones would be tested, as Mystique would whip them into shape.

Perhaps she could play things out, see how this team would come together and see how they work in just this meeting alone. If completely hopeless she would join them. If not, she would allow them to do this alone. Yes. That sounded like a good enough plan.

Good enough? That didn’t seem to right for it to be mentioned around Mystique, or even for her to be settling on something that was ‘good enough’. She would normally want perfect, would have thought something over more thoroughly and would have settled on a plan before she rallied up this team. Would have... However, Mystique hadn’t been her usual self. Perhaps with Magneto gone for such a long time had disturbed her somehow, or she was getting old... The blue shapeshifter pushed those thoughts aside as she cursed herself for even thinking that. The real situation was none of that, she had to put the Brotherhood back up to its former glory and to do so she had to test its members. Of course, if they got hurt she wouldn’t be the one worrying about when, or if, they would get better.

So there Mystique stood at the end of a table. Leader of the Brotherhood. The one who was going to turn the direction of the Brotherhood before it was too late, though to some it may seem as if it already was. Like the X-Men for example, they will see how wrong they really are.

To no surprise, Shauna was the first of this makeshift team to arrive. She never liked being late to things, always there on time or earlier like she had tried to be but she didn’t want to look to eager by getting to the meeting room half an hour early.

Walking into the room, she was proud that no one else had beaten her there, apart from Mystique.

Over the past hour the young Toynbee had been wondering how the mission would go, since she knew what was going on as she was in the same room when Lady Deathstrike gave the news of the X-Teams missions to Mystique. To be part of the team to go and 'visit' to one of the teams felt like an honour at the very least. Shauna had been trusted to carry out and even lead small missions but they were nothing compared to this.

For years she had heard about the X-Men and never once seen one. The closest was when Arisa had come to the Brotherhood until she had 'told' of how she had secretly been doing some spywork for the X-Men. Good work by Madison Enright to still have them convinced a few months after that event.

Shauna took a seat in the room which wasn't as tattered as some of the others. It was probably one of the more cleaner an unworn-out rooms that the Brotherhood headquarters owned and compared to most of the other rooms it didn't look as if it belonged. After she sat down Shauna remained silent. This was nothing unusual by the green skinned mutant, when it came to missions she was one of the most serious of mutants, not daring to speak until she was told to. Though if she had something on her mind that could be classified as useful she would speak up for everyone to hear, but that was only if it was big any small suggestions she kept to herself unless asked to speak.

She looked towards the door, a moment later to see if her brother was coming, also being curious to who else had been invited to this meeting. She had no doubt that he would have been asked to come, he was a strong mutant like herself yet while Shauna was clam on missions he had a tendency to be a little impatient which could sometimes cause troubles. Shauna hoped that he would be more calm on this mission, maybe Victoria, if she was asked, could distract him if he wasn't!

Re: Trial before the test - Meeting before the X-Teams Missi
In the hour between Yuriko's inpromptu information drop off with Mystique and the meeting the blue mutant had called to act upon that information Yuriko had done little except prepare herself for the meeting. She had quickly returned to her room to change and make sure she had everything she needed. That was the one room in the Brotherhood that she didn't mind spending a lot of time in, it was her santuary. Yuriko had made a significant attempt to tidy the rrom up, getting clean sheets and drapes and 'persuading' a few of the less active mutants to give it a good clear out. She had quickly grabbed her black jacket and changed into a pair of leather trousers, she then tied her long black hair into a tight ponytail before making her way down to the meeting room.

On the way down she had made sure to clear her mind and focus, she could not afford to dwell on thoughts of what could happen and just concentrate on what they were to discuss in the meeting so that nothing with this new found mission would go wrong.

Yuriko had walked quickly into the corridor that led to the meeting room, her high heeled boots making a load noise on the wooden floor, she had briskly made her way to the meeting room arriving on time and was greeted with both Shawna and Mystique; she imagined Mystique would have been there but Shawna's early arrival only improved Yuriko's opinion of her, she obviously wanted to help her previous comments not just empty promises. The clawed mutant inclined her head slightly as a greeting and then walked up to the chair next to Shawna and quickly took her place.

She did not speak, it was Mystique's meeting and for her to speak first would not be correct; for one Yuriko did not know if any others were to be brought to the meeting. She both hoped that others would come to show their loyalty but also would rather it was just the three women if any others were just mutants that would slow their progress. There were a lot of time wasters at the Brotherhood at the moment and Deathstrike could tell that Mystique was biding her time with them and that soon they would have her to answer to.

And so she waited, her hands crosed in her lap, the strong fingers interlocked, and her silver eyes slowly moving from Mystique to Shawn to the door that would herald the entry of any others.

------------

To say Phoebe was furious with her half sisters betrayel would be a grave understatement, the megneticaly empowered shapeshifted was in no mind to tolerate any of the stupidity often shown by her fellow Brotherhood members. More then a few imbasles have found their way to the Brotherhood's version of a sick bay after encountering Phoebe's 'shockingly' negative personality.

To make things worse she hadn't been too pleased with a a deal that went sour when some of her companions messed up and nearly got her and the brotherhood caught up in something that was supposed to be quick and easy instead of serious criminal charges. Took Phoebe a whole three days to 'deal' with the problem, hunting down all those involved that might have caused a problem with the Brotherhood.

The past few months she's turned more and more into Mystique then how she used to act, she'd always had been so similiar to her mother, but revently, since Arisa's 'betrayel', she's become more colder and quick to temper. She would have been earlier, but Mystique had assigned some chores for her daughter in hopes of distracting her from running around putting any more of what little forces they had in the dump they call a sickbay.

Storming in, the yellow eyes beauty threw a glance towards the others in the room, as bright as they were, there was something so dark and and cruel about their hateful glare. She had more important things to do then loiter around inside, though there had been a promise of something interesting, and she would leave if that promise wasn't kept. Standing by the doors entrance, her arms folded and her dark red top, all too revealing to really be called a shirt, , with her making red dress, slit down the sides to reveal the lovely shaped long legs.

On her forehead was a family trademark now, something her mother used to wear, Mystique had given it to Phoebe on her sweet sixteenth, the small silver skull that adorned the forehead. The lushious red hair, ruby red lips, and her attire wouldn't make one assume she was about to head off hunting people that are proving to be blocks in the path of the brotherhood.

Re: Trial before the test - Meeting before the X-Teams Missi
A saying among the male part of New York’s highclass went “Mareesa Williams work in mysterious way,” and this was what they were. No one really knew were she got those quite useful pieces of information from the most sophisticated usage of which with the highest possible outcome the Drama Queen had brought down to an art. Little there was she did not know about her customers even before having met them for the first time and once she had spent the night with them, chances were she had found out more about the influential men than their wives had ever known. A fact they tended to regret sooner or later, yet threatening the seductive showgirl who normally asked “favors” for not telling anyone about her discoveries was never a good idea. Despite Mareesa’s soft, womanly form, she was tough, cold, cruel… and a life other than her own meant nothing to her. There were a few people she appreciated… yet when it would come to the choice between herself and the other, the decision was predestined.

With the way she had heard of the Brotherhood’s whereabouts it was quite the same as with everything else. Nobody knew… and she was certainly not as stupid as to divulge her secrets, any of them, to anyone. Joining had been quite easy, nothing bureaucratic at all – fact Mareesa had been quite glad about and in fact one of the few things that had her let decide to stick with the group since then. She didn’t live with the rest but away in the Silvery, a strip club which was her home and had ever been as far as she could remember back. To say this fact had influenced her life would have been an understatement, it had actually made her what she was in regards to sexuality (which she knew everything about) and love (that was nothing but a meaningless word to her) while it were her powers and the lack of any influence before they had kicked in that had, among other things, formed her cruel egocentricity. Truth be told, the actual reasons’ and causes variety was a far greater on, yet those had formed the basis for this young woman who entered the Brotherhood meeting room as one of the last to arrive.

”Nice outfit,” was the first remark heard from the blond-haired beauty that had – once again – received word of the meeting via “coincidence” - as usual. It had – quite honestly - been directed at Phoebe whose taste in terms of dressing was quite similar to the Drama Queen’s who in fact felt quite covered up with the low-cut black top revealing her well-trained stomach that still was anything but unattractively muscular as one would see at female bodybuilders or athletes. Dark hotpants and high-heeled leather jackboots along with a see-through light fishnet coat that followed her moves in gentle waves completed the picture of a woman with style dressed to kill. While some… or many people would see this outfit of hers as quite slutty, her usual working clothes, however, tended to be far less fabric. When being on more official outings with influential businessmen though, Mareesa never failed to dress as expected – her talent of knowing what to do where and when always as impressive as her creativity when it came to getting more money than people had actually been ready to pay.

Eyes of a sunlit sea’s color wandered over those gathered to linger on Mystique while something an apologetic smile appeared on the Drama Queen’s features. Never did those expressions reach her eyes when she wasn’t among those few people she was not as ready to use at her will and advantage and so the apology was but a gesture that Mareesa thought to be expected of her.

”Work held me up,” she explained truthfully. A part of her clothing – the top - actually belonged to what she had worn at the beginning of her show and the rest, Mareesa had simply added quickly to arrive at least about in time. You could never know when that bunch of wannabe baddies turned out to be useful and until then, she had to adjust to a certain degree. In fact, it had been the Brotherhood that had enabled her to find out about a high-ranking official in the town with the power to clear her of all those charges that had added up to a pile throughout the last years. An invitation to the Silvery and “special services” later, her reputation had almost been pure again with just some minor offences remaining because nothing was as suspicious as a blank criminal record for someone of her profession.

"Meh, and that's what you call an impressive entrance? Ridiculous, leave the stage to the Queen!"

Re: Trial before the test - Meeting before the X-Teams Missi
(OOC: Loza I'm assuming a bit here about Jason and Victoria so hopefully it's okay and if not then just let me know and I'll change it.)

As Victoria entered the room her hazel gaze swept across the poorly furnished interior and across those members of the brotherhood already present. She noticed that she was one of the last to arrive, something that irritated the poison princess slightly since she hated to be held up or viewed with distaste by most for tardiness. However Victoria was late for a reason and the memories of what she had been doing a few short moments earlier caused her full lips to curve into a smile. For Jason and herself making up tended to lead to making out and their last fight had been particularly devestating. It stood to reason that their make up session would be similarly explosive and it had been until both parties had realised that the all important brotherhood meeting was about to begin.

Victoria glanced behind her but Jason wasn't there yet, he had been shortly behind her and she was sure he would be there at any moment. In the meantime Victoria leaned against one of the walla and brushed a few stray hairs from her face. Her long hair was pulled back into a simply ponytail and her apperance, while still quite a sight, was dishevelled compared to her usual emmaculate state of dress. At the moment she wore simply a long black skirt with long slits that revealled some of her long legs and a plain crimson tank top that accented her finely formed body. Even with her hair out of place and her clothes so plain she was a sight and she knew it and as she gazed around the room with an air of superiority Victoria tossed her head of chesnut waves dismissively.

She noticed Shawna and managed just barely to conceal her slight smirk. Victoria knew that the green skinned mutant was less than pleased with the fact that her brother had a relationship with the poison princess and they had never formed a friendship as Victoria had with some members of the Brotherhood. Realising that the group seemed to be waiting for Mystique she turned her hazel gaze upon the shapeshifter to wait. She was distracted however by a strange sound and turned to find the source only to see that Kal-El was now standing in the room.

The sound had come from his grand entrance caused by one of his many powers, this one being superspeed. The alien boy had powers beyond many of them it seemed although he was less than willing to reveal any of his past or the secrets behind these powers he held. All they had to know it seemed was not to get in his way. Victoria shot him a curious glance, remembering his breakdown earlier but his didn't even achknowledge her and instead leaned against another wall. He wore a pair of jeans and a green shirt that brought out his bright eyes and his tousseled hair was longer ever so slightly in the back where he had been letting it grow. His shirt was covered by a leather jacket and Victoria almost expected him to climb onto a motorcycle and go speeding off into the distance. As it was he looked bored already with the meeting and was absently twisting the red gem upon his ring finger, seeming completely unbothered by the fact that he was late and one of the last people to arrive in the room.

Kal-El was, in actuality, far more bothered than he appeared. His emotions stemmed not from the meeting itself however as he had no doubt his powers would be enough to seal his place within the group. No his feelings came from a dark haired girl back home in a smalltown who was on his mind even as his lips brushed those of countless other women. They were nameless to him and each one had Lana's face in his imagination. He'd have his pleasures then push them away as if in realization that they could never satisfy fully in any way other than momentary physical pleasure. It was always her in his thoughts and a part of him wished he was still Clark Kent back home in a Kansas smalltown. Instead he was here however for he couldn't return without destroying those he loved. Instead he would be a devoted member of this group they called the brotherhood and would do their bidding for the red gem on his finger still worked it's rebellious influence into his veins and it's power was near impossible to escape save when it overwhelmed him and he'd remove the small gem. Precious few times now was his mind his own and Clark would battle only weakly to go home. Kal-El ruled over their shared body now and he had no inhibitions.

As they awaited the arrival of any further additions to the group Victoria stood in silence, her gaze alternating between Mystique and the doorway. Across the room Kal-El's intense green eyes were focused solely on the ring that bound his will.

Re: Trial before the test - Meeting before the X-Teams Missi
The sound high-heeled boots coming up the corridor made Shauna return her gaze to the doorway to see who it was. The meeting was to start shortly and there was only one other person nearly in the meeting room. Shauna was not pleased with this, Mystique would surely have asked the more capable mutants to come and they were not here yet. Where they becoming like the others? She hoped this was not the case and that they would all be in on time or just shortly after the hour was up.

The clicking of high-heels belonged to none other than Yuriko who Shauna had the pleasure of meeting just a short time ago. Even though this was the second time she had seen her, the green skinned mutant had grown an admiration for her. Deathstrike was not going to be one of those mutant free loaders.

Shortly after came the storming footsteps of Phoebe. Mystique was pleased to see that she had made it, not bothering to take any notice of her daughter’s mood. She was the only child of hers who had stuck by her and the Brotherhood. Kurt was an X-Man, along with her ‘foster daughter’ Rogue, sworn enemy of the Brotherhood. Her son with Sabretooth in Graydon Creed was human that should explain everything, at least he is no longer around anymore. Arisa, the youngest of her children had spent some time here but had betrayed her Brotherhood family and was told to never show her face around here again.

Although Phoebe was another mutant who was trying her hardest to restore the former glory of the Brotherhood, Shauna still felt a slight twang of jealousy towards her. She would never have to try as hard to gain Mystique’s praise as Shauna did. While it would be rare for the time manipulating mutant to admit it, she loved getting praise for a job a well done and never liked it when someone could get it with ease. This didn’t mean she despised Phoebe, it just made Shauna push herself that extra bit when it came to missions.

An eyebrow raised from Shauna as the one and only Drama Queen came in, a few minutes late yet still earlier than her brother. The green mutant didn’t know her personally, but had heard stories from other Brotherhood members and couldn’t really see why she could be accepted into the Brotherhood when she didn’t even spend time here. Though there were a lot of mutants Shauna had that view on.

Then came Victoria and a slight roll of the eyes. She had a feeling that she would have been invited but still didn’t want to see her. Shauna had never really warmed up from their first meeting, quite opposite from Jason. It wasn’t that Shauna was one of those sisters who fussed over what kind of girls her brother went out with, she just didn’t like Victoria. There was the fact that Jason was always spending time with her, never allowing much time for Shauna to train with him and when he did it was hard to get him to stop talking about something other than Victoria once he started. Another factor in Shauna never warming up to Victoria was the fights they always had. It was always perfect one day, fighting the next, broken up that same day before they ran back to each other. Shauna couldn’t help but feel that Victoria was just cruelly using him, unable to see that they actually loved each other.

For a moment she wondered why Jason hadn’t come in with the poison princess but that thought was distracted away from her when Kal-El sped his way into the meeting room. He seemed as powerful as he was secretive and many had no clue that he was not mutant. He was alien. Shauna was one of those people as she muttered a ‘hurry up’ under her breath getting annoyed the Jason was going to most likely be the last one there.

On that thought, she was correct as the odd sound of his footsteps quietly made their way down the corridor until he appeared in the meeting room. His blue eyes first landing on Victoria (no surprise) and a smile curved from his lips before he took his place standing beside her. His eyes then wandered over everyone else to see who else had been called in for this meeting, a slight narrow of the eyes was given to Kal at memories of the kiss he had shared with Victoria. Sure, they were broken up at the time but it had still hurt Jason when he heard about it.

Now that everyone had arrived, some on their own time, it was time for the meeting to finally begin.

Mystique hadn’t been happy with the lateness of some of the people, it could be seen by the look on her face. She had told them to be in on the hour she had stated, not to be late. Even a few minutes was not acceptable on her standards. She had half a mind to say something, which wouldn’t have turned out pretty. Instead she pushed that aside and headed straight into the more important matters, the reason why they were all here.

"According to information from Yuriko, our good friends, the X-Men, have created more teams to suit their growing numbers of students," she said heading straight into things. There was no point in covering up the bare facts. There were a lot of mutants on the X-Men’s side and while there were many Brotherhood members only few were up to actually facing them. They may as well all know, or have the fact reminded to them again about how bad things were in Mystique’s subtle words. It could be used as motivation if they bothered to listen in.

"However, these teams lack the experience the older X-Men have," It was true, most were teenagers and entrusted on one of the strongest forces of the world yet one many will never now of. Not only were those at Xavier’s lacking the experience of battle but so were some of these but Mystique held no doubts that the mutants before her would be able to adapt much quicker. "So this weekend they have a training session which you are all going to," As she spoke her words showed no signs of her coming to a compromise if any of them wanted to do anything else. If they had plans, bad luck. They are going to find the X-Men and give them a little test to see if these teams are up to scratch.

"And I expect you to all to meet here at 8 o'clock on Saturday morning. Show up a minute late and you will be left behind," Mystique felt as if she was being very kind letting them sleep in until however long they needed to get ready to be here by 8 am. After all, she was thinking earlier but decided against it. Her little point about being late was a promise. A moment before speaking she decided to allow them to do this by themselves, she could attend to other matters but that didn’t mean she wasn’t going to show up. By 8 she would send them off and if someone was late they’d be missing out and would likely find themselves in deep trouble.

"Yuriko," Her pupil-less gaze landed on the clawed mutant, "Since they won't be spending their weekend at the mansion you can find out where they are heading. Try looking up expense accounts that are in the name of Charles and his institute. I want to know where they are going by the end of the day," She ordered. The blue shapeshifter had set the task for Yuriko since she knew of her computer skills. Deathstrike had told of them when she first arrived at the Brotherhood and now was time for Mystique to use the gift she had offered to use to aid with the brotherhood. The bit of assistance could be used to help out if there were any large purchases that could indicate where they might be going. If Yuriko failed to get her task done Mystique would send her daughter into the institute for some spy work.

"Any questions?" She asked after her gaze landed upon the whole group once more. No one had better take up her time with ridiculous questions that had nothing to do with the mission, unless it was of most importance.

Re: Trial before the test - Meeting before the X-Teams Missi
(OOC I know I haven't been part of the Brotherhood yet, but I thought I'd let Siren have a grand entrance to NE. If you're not happy with it, I'll change it if I must :D )

The door to the meeting room was pushed open, allowing a gust of wind to sweep through the room. Siren stepped through the doorway, standing a moment to allow them to see her beauty. She loved it when she entered a room and all eyes were on her! Her long black coat flowing behind her, the mutant entered. The meeting room was grubby; in fact, the whole of the building was grubby! She often wondered how she could stoop as low as joining forces with these people. But then, for now, they shared the same interests.

Picking high heeled boots up, she walked languidly up to the table, hips swinging seductively. She had listened outside the door, never liking to be taken by surprise. “I have a question,” Siren said, looking straight at Mystique with her large green eyes. “Surely you don’t expect me to traipse around looking for kids, do you?” she asked, arching her eyebrow meaningfully. She had no love for these mutants, felt no trace of loyalty to them. Placing one hand on her hip, the other on the table in front of the group of mutants, she looked at each of them, her eyes lingering mostly on Kal’El, the whisper of a smile crossing her lips. She silently dared him to look away, took joy in that he didn’t.

Shaking her head slightly, letting the strand of long black hair fall in front of her eye again, she got back to business. There was always time to play later, she thought. “I have a better idea,” Siren said, challenging anyone to interrupt her, “Since most of the X-Men will be off with their students, it leaves the Institute pretty much open to visitors. So, while you’re all following the students around, I’m going to infiltrate Xavier’s. After all,” she added, with a chuckle, “I haven’t introduced myself to them yet, and I’m sure the men are dying to meet me.”

Re: Trial before the test - Meeting before the X-Teams Missi
(ooc- That’s cool, I don’t mind having Siren barge in!:) )
----------------------

It had only been a moment after she had finished speaking that the door swung open and came in Lorna Clay. Jason looked at her, only because of the entrance that was meant to do nothing than make everyone turn their eyes onto Siren which it had. He had heard some guys talk about her as if she was some goddess or something, sure she was pretty but so were other girls, what made her so special? Obviously he was yet to know of her powers. His blue eyes hadn’t stayed on her for long before they looked over to Victoria, now she was someone who guys should be talking about! Except he most likely wouldn’t like to hear other guys talking about Victoria in the way he heard them talk about Siren.

Shauna inwardly shook her head at Siren, still in her ‘do not speak until you’re spoken to’ mode, which meant that her opinions stayed to herself and a shake of the head is a definite no-no until she was allowed to speak up. Still, that didn’t keep her thoughts from speaking in her mind. The green skinned mutant didn’t like the way in which Lorna had made her entrance, and was she even invited to this meeting anyway? All the same, it was a meeting for god sake, you don’t need to be showing off for guys in a meeting. That was the way Shauna took it, this was business and for that you had to be professional and mature about it, not go lusting after guys. Don’t get Shauna wrong, she didn’t mind teasing men with her athletic figure and pretty features despite her green-ness. She actually enjoyed going to nightclubs where the light was dim or so colourful that you couldn’t make out her green skin and finding a guy to keep her company for the night but that was for a different time, a time where she could go out and do that and not now. That was probably a problem of hers, she could get so focused on work that she never really noticed that other things existed. However, that was who Shauna was and she wasn’t going to change to be like the rest of the young women of around her age.

A displeased frown formed from Mystique’s lips upon the man hypnotiser entering the room. No one else was supposed to know a meeting was going on, so she had all reason not to be happy with that.

“I have a question,” The frown hadn’t left her lips as Siren’s eyes looked straight at her, though her eyes narrowed slightly as if telling her to get on with her question.

“Surely you don’t expect me to traipse around looking for kids, do you?” No. In fact, Mystique hadn’t planned anything for Siren to do. For too long she had had nothing planned for the entire Brotherhood to do and now she was finally getting a few to do something she had her attention now fixed on them so most of the other free loading mutants, the exception of a few, wouldn’t be gaining Mystique’s attention unless sit was very important. Her attention would remain on the group before her until they returned and gave her the news that she wanted to hear. If it was otherwise she will not be happy and that will turn into this group not being happy.

“I have a better idea,” Oh did she now? While she may not be in the mood to have other mutants waste her time, she let Siren sound out her little plan.

“Since most of the X-Men will be off with their students, it leaves the Institute pretty much open to visitors. So, while you’re all following the students around, I’m going to infiltrate Xavier’s. After all, I haven’t introduced myself to them yet, and I’m sure the men are dying to meet me.” This wasn’t as bad as what Mystique had initially thought it would be where she was not going to allow Siren to do as she wanted, however this idea seemed surprising in the sense that someone would actually come up with a plan that they would volunteer for.

The blue Metamorph knows Sirens powers and her frown eased a little at the men being ‘dying’ to meet her. It wouldn’t be too bad letting her go off to do what she wanted on this case, but if anyone in the future wanted to do something of their own doing they wouldn’t be allowed so easily.

"You may go," upon hearing that Shauna’s jaw almost dropped but she had herself trained not to do that and would most defiantly not pull something immature like that in front of Mystique as if she was questioning her judgement. Mystique continued, "There will still be some strong mutants remaining since they wouldn’t risk anything with everyone gone so if you get yourself into trouble no one will be going coming to help you." The rules were fair and there were reasons behind them too. Siren wanted to do this so she could, she just didn’t say she wanted to be aided in this so no one else was going thus no one being there to help her if she doe find some trouble. Also, Mystique was not going to send the incompetent mutants in, they were a weakness she didn’t want the X-Men to know that they have even though she already thinks they do from Arisa’s stay at the Brotherhood only being ‘spywork’.

The shapeshifter did not say anything else. She had no need to. All she did was wait for Lorna’s reply, agreeing to her rules would be the right thing. Doing the other and going against them would lead to Mystique instantly changing her mind.

"You may go. There will still be some strong mutants remaining since they wouldn’t risk anything with everyone gone so if you get yourself into trouble no one will be going coming to help you." Siren smiled prettily, rejoicing quietly at the idea that she had put at least one nose out of joint. She would have to have been blind to see that the other members despised her, probably because the girls felt threatened by her beauty.

"I'm sure I can look after myself," she said directly to the shape-shifting mutant, "but thanks for the concern." Casting a brief look around the room, looking every member directly in the eyes, she turned to leave.

"Well, I guess I'd better head off to the Institute then," Siren's voice almost purred, "I've got a lot of guys to meet...Oh, and good luck following the kids around!" Chuckling to herself, she left the meeting room to gather her belongings together.

(OOC she barges in, and barges right back out again...hehe)

Re: Trial before the test - Meeting before the X-Teams Missi
*Well… at least she has some style,* was the only positive thought occupying Mareesa’s mind upon Siren’s entrance and soon following exit. She barely knew her, in fact, the showgirl hardly knew any member of the Brotherhood – fact she didn’t overly regret. However, in the Drama Queen’s opinion it was mere stupidity to provoke the female part of the group so openly, especially their leader. Mystique, so Mareesa’s observations had quickly revealed, was none to be underestimated. While so many Brotherhood mutants were – frankly put – ridiculous losers, Raven was not. She was dangerous, aim-oriented in a way that forced the illusion-powered mutant to respect her to a higher degree than she did normally. Then again, there were only a few people she felt anything close to respect to at all.

Her reaction was much like Jason’s, just that those turquoise orbs lingered even shorter, just for a mere glance, on Lorna’s form before returning to look at their blue-skinned leader whose explanatory words had caused a slight frown that still hadn’t disappeared from the flawless face. Eight o’clock… well, normally she wouldn’t get up before ten or even high noon having worked till early in the morning but being the star of the club did grant her advantages and privileges… especially with her mother being the owner. So this weekend including Friday would be her first time off for months… a little sad considering that she would still be working, in a way, but – as the Drama Queen inwardly stated to make it up to herself – acting according to Mystique’s will would certainly be advantageous.

"Any questions?"
Kept from speaking, Mareesa entertained the thought of seducing this silently indifferent watcher who had literally zoomed to the meeting even after her. She had never knowingly spent the night with a mutant before and curiously wondered whether there was any difference, especially if it was someone as powerful as Kal-En was rumored to be. Then again, his gaze hadn’t been absorbed by her sight – a rare thing to happen to Mareesa who was used to being the center of attention. Coming to think of it, she realized that Jason – potential night toy number two – hadn’t acted overly impressed either, yet in his case, she remembered rumors about him being obsessed with another woman quite soon. A strange thing to imagine, at least for someone who had never understood the reason for or even the concept of love, yet one she accepted… as an oddity. So what was Kal-En’s excuse? Homosexuality?

Before she could think about the lack of attention from the males’ side towards her person thus actually starting getting annoyed by it, Lorna had left again though and thus unoccupied, Mystique could be spoken to again.
”Now that the vamp’s gone, I’ve got a question,”
When her full cynically curved lips parted, an automatism triggered her spotlighting ability forcing everyone to focus their full attention onto her. It was nothing she did on purpose, at least not in that case… maybe the silent frustration about what the two men had NOT done had led to the power’s activation. Although noticing it, Mareesa didn’t care about this side effect when her calm voice filled the room like dark velvet. There was something highly sexual about the way she spoke, yet it was obvious that contrary to Siren, this was nothing she did on purpose but rather came with her profession, her upbringing – something that was part of herself. It was the voice itself that was seductive, not the intention behind it and so their leader would probably neither feel addressed by the subtle temptation nor take offence in it for this was the way the Drama Queen spoke most of the time. However, especially along with the spotlight, it could finally attract the two males’ interest – a fact that made her stay attentive not only in regards to Mystique.

”What do you want us to do? We’re certainly not enough to kill them all and since those… X-Men,” The way she pronounced the name made it clear Mareesa was suppressing a fit of laughter at what she thought to be the most stupid title ever… thus perfectly matching those people and their ridiculous ideology. ”…seem to be all enthusiastic for the campfire comradeship thing, chances are they’re gonna team up on us when we’re attacking one of their precious boy scout troops,” Her expression stated that she didn’t actually criticize Mystique or the plan but rather felt like not having been told all the details while in truth she was rather considering the whole idea to be idiotic. Still, her acting skills were flawless and so nobody but a talented telepath would notice.

(OOC: sorry for the crappy post… it’s still a little difficult for me to really grasp that character’s essence, dramatically speaking)

"Meh, and that's what you call an impressive entrance? Ridiculous, leave the stage to the Queen!"

Re: Trial before the test - Meeting before the X-Teams Missi
”Nice outfit,”

Golden eyes stare at Mareesa once she spoke, assessing if the imputant newbie was to get an ‘accidental’ shock of electricity in front of everyone here so they all know not to mock the daughter of Mystique, or if instead Phoebe was to merely graciously and silently accept the remark. Deciding for the last one as the better option in regards to the honesty in which the Drama Queen seemed to have uttered the compliment, Raven’s daughter eyed the remaining spare seats, did she even want to sit amongst some of these inexperienced trouble makers with dreams of being greater then they probably every will be. It was pathetic how some of them expected so much out of life and yet did nothing to reach their goals. Phoebe was just glade her mother at least chose a few of the more ‘acceptable’ members, and the electric shapeshifter used the word ‘acceptable’ with indignant stress.

”Work held me up,”

Excuses, why did they always have excuses? The young Darkholme had an excuse while she was her usual early self, but no one sure her blurting it out as an excuse, and hers was actually certifiable! Well, no matter, at least they all made it before her mother got annoyed, Phoebe was in no mood to have people giving her mother undue stress, she was already busy with more important things then their stupidity. What would her father do if this lot dawdled in all late to a meeting he had prepared? Granted he wouldn’t kill them, but if he was in a bad enough mood he would possibly hurt them, put them in their places, wouldn’t he? He had once… a little smile crept onto the ruby lips while she remembered Magneto’s men back in Genosha, the way they treated the people who didn’t stay in line when she was younger. These people would stand no chance of working under her father’s command, her mother was strict, cunning, smart, cruel, yes, but her father was frightful, he was fearless, heartless at times and yet everything he did was the bettering of mutant kind. They could never reach the levels Magneto went to, they just didn’t have the many power or the contacts, not yet anyway, they used to, before Magneto left, some of their supporters turned their backs on the brotherhood, some where no longer around to spread their foul remarks on the brotherhood dissipating to nothing without Magneto – Phoebe made sure they disappeared if they refused to re-join.
"According to information from Yuriko, our good friends, the X-Men, have created more teams to suit their growing numbers of students,"

Maybe Phoebe should get in the school and see what she can find there, surely not every single mutant there was a hundred percent delighted with equalizing themselves with the pitiable humans who loathe them? The thought hadn’t only just occurred to metamorphic mutant, she had been meaning to converse with her mother about it but with Arisa’s treachery there was little chance for her to find time and calm her temper enough to discuss undercover missions effectively. After all, her mother would not send Phoebe if she was unstable and violent in temper, she’d have a hard time not attracting attention to herself.

"However, these teams lack the experience the older X-Men have,"

And what’s a bet that they’d STILL smother the floor with this dismal lot? The thought was slightly depressing to the electrically inclined metamorph, maybe with a lot of work this ragged team of misfits and deluded wonnabees can actually become something more then the rest of the wretched lot they have. Admittedly, if any members of the brotherhood should manage to pull of something of this basic level, this bunch ought to be able to at leave put in a few dents. Shawna had talent, and drive, and that was something that a lot of people lacked here, the pure intense drive to prove themselves and upon that better themselves. Miss ‘Drama Queen’ Williams ought to prove a useful asset, so far Kal-El was one of the few that had automatic level of competence in the blue skinned mutants mind – being highly attractive had nothing to do with it, at least that is what she insisted to herself.

"So this weekend they have a training session which you are all going to,"

Let’s see if any dare try and squirm their way out of this, Phoebe cast a dark glance towards the door while waiting for Toad’s male heir, then over towards Victoria, though a more content look surfaced as she studied the girl. The poisonous mutant had proved her worth; she had style and was deadly. That was something that put her up with Kal-El and Shawna, provided she didn’t screw up like the last poison spitting mutant who had to be tossed out of the brotherhood due to his ineptitude.
"And I expect you to all to meet here at 8 o'clock on Saturday morning. Show up a minute late and you will be left behind,"

8? Why not 6? A good few hours of work could put things into their advantage if they went earlier, if Phoebe could have it her way she’d head out right at this moment and set up numerous traps, that’s if she didn’t already assume Xavier and his pesky lot probably have the place heavily guarded, leaving too soon might trip alarms and they could cancel the activity all together. Pupilless eyes rolled, making the actions unseen by any since Phoebe didn’t include any other form of annoyed body language while she leaned against the wall. Yuriko was a fine warrior, granted, but Phoebe had half hoped that she’d get to have some fun toying with students at the school, it was the easiest way to get information, just stroll up as an attractive young woman or man, spend a day or so flirting with someone who would know the information and the young kid usually gave away more info then they realized. Phoebe would go to any lengths to get her mother what she wanted, although honestly she never considered the deeper picture, she has pretended to be a male more then once and had to go to bed with the female, she’d never thought of it as being bi-sexual on the sense that she’s always just doing what needs to be done. After all, it’s not like she has a crush on any of the woman, she merely uses what she’s got to get what she wants, she was most certainly male orientated, she merely had yet to find someone worthy of her attention.

"Any questions?"

Phoebe was about to ask whether Mystique would consider allowing her to venture to the school grounds, there were a few giddy teenagers Phoebe had ready to spill out all their little secrets. After all, Phoebe’s often around Salem centre or lurking in the popular dying star or other places, forming connecting with the students and developing fake friendships or false loves. But before Phoebe could bring up her question, another latecomer burst into the room.

“I have a question,” Narrowed golden eyes settled on the new arrival, burning little yellow suns alit with the temptation to set this woman in her place. “Surely you don’t expect me to traipse around looking for kids, do you?” Phoebe took the way this woman addressed the group sourly, only she was allowed to act mightier then this lot, no one else was permitted to degrade their team! Especially new arrivals that have no idea of the brotherhoods true power!

“I have a better idea,” So did Phoebe, a very satisfying new idea, however she doubted her mother would enjoy her daughter’s short temper flaring out of control while this pompous brat was in mid sentence, “Since most of the X-Men will be off with their students, it leaves the Institute pretty much open to visitors. So, while you’re all following the students around, I’m going to infiltrate Xavier’s. After all,” …… “I haven’t introduced myself to them yet, and I’m sure the men are dying to meet me.”

A flicker of yellow danced between Phoebe’s fingers, causing her to clench her fists and fold her arms so not to get anyone’s attention, some woman where just so pretentious. Mareesa eye catching and yet she didn’t strut around shoving it in everyone’s face, then again, Phoebe was beautiful as well, Shawna was average in Phoebe’s opinion and Victoria was attractive as well. Granted they all knew how to use their bodies to their personal gain, but none have gone around and bluntly stated or flaunted the degree in which men desire them. Selfish single minded pig head conceited little soldiers were useless on the battlefield, at least so far in Phoebe’s experience they have been.

"You may go," Further annoyance swelled inside of Phoebe, the likely hood of her mother sending numerous members to the school grounds at once was unlikely, "There will still be some strong mutants remaining since they wouldn’t risk anything with everyone gone so if you get yourself into trouble no one will be going coming to help you."

While her mother and Siren continued to babble, Phoebe found herself looking away boredly, she hated it when she didn’t have a spotlight in the meetings, why did she have to join if all she did was listen to incessant chit-chat that held no great value, at least in her opinion. With Siren departing the metamorph let her mood lighten a little, looking over towards Mareesa with a smirk as she addressed the infamous Mystique.

”Now that the vamp’s gone, I’ve got a question,”

There was an amused smirk from Phoebe, her attention given to Mareesa without the need for her power to pull the focus to her, Phoebe’s orbs already settled on watching the other the instant she had started to speak, keeping an eye on her the whole time. Though if the power hadn’t been pulling her attention it might have wondered off to study Kal-El and then the others.

”What do you want us to do? We’re certainly not enough to kill them all and since those… X-Men,”

Speak for herself, Phoebe has taken out enough people on her own to know you’re never outnumbered until you tell yourself you are and believe in that statement, thus becoming useless as a member of the brotherhood if you don’t believe in your abilities when challenging situations rise. At least someone else found the name dim-witted and unintelligent, she always wondered what exactly Xavier had been thinking when he decided on that name. Then again, he was code named Professor X, which as far as Phoebe could assume was because his last name was Xavier, so did that mean he might have actually named them X-men after himself? Like ‘Xavier’s Men’ ? Or was there something to do with the X-gene, she could only amuse herself on the possibilities.

”…seem to be all enthusiastic for the campfire comradeship thing, chances are they’re gonna team up on us when we’re attacking one of their precious boy scout troops,”

“Most likely they wouldn’t be all together, if I were to send my groups out for survival training I wouldn’t have them camping next to one and another.” Phoebe stated rather matter of fact, “So assuming they would be doing something similar, we may be able to pick the groups out one by one, perhaps find one further away then the others or just isolate one of the lesser experienced groups and work our way from there.” There was a fleeting glance cast towards her mother, “I would suggest we take control of a section of the island, but we can’t be sure if any of them would pass through there, unless we know their meeting location, if Yuriko could find that we could set up an ambush for better result.” A faint smirk crept over her expression; a hint to those who knew her that she had an additional thought and was toying with the idea that she found amusing.

“We could always take the leader, or one of the students, and I could take their place, from there we lure the clueless novices to our traps.” A slight thoughtful pause and then she added thoughtfully “Or which ever form of attack you plan on taking,” One of Phoebe’s greater talents was following orders, sure she could lead impeccably well, but she was at her best when her mother or father give her a command and then she either solo or leading a team would go out and follow that command down to the letter, no matter what needed to be done to accomplish her set task.

Re: Trial before the test - Meeting before the X-Teams Missi
(OOC: Major apoligies to you all, i am sorry for my slow posting, i hope you forgice me!)

Yuriko sat in silence as the group members of the meeting discussed what had to be done. Mystique had given Yuriko her immediate assignment and now all she wished to do was get it started. This would be the first active point where she could prove her worth to Mystique and the Brotherhood and she wasn't about to just through that away.

For the most part the 'better' members of the Brotherhood that had been called here were not overly impressive. Shauna, Yuriko had met before, and although she was silent like herself, she did not imagine that it was for the same reason, Yuriko was taking it all in and although she was sure Shauna was to, she seemed like a young woman that would not easily voice her opinion; hopefully as her confidence grew this would change.

The woman known as Siren immediately got Yuriko's back up; there was being confident in your abilities and then there was being purely arrogant. In some ways Deathstrike would like to see Siren fail to show that she wasn't infalable, however if this was to happen it would strike negativly against the brotherhood and that was definately not good.

However, Pheobe was another matter. This young woman emitted confidence; but in a way that Deathstrike found instant respect for. It seemed she was her mothers daughter, and not only because of their appearance. They shared the same straight talking attitude and a willing to get the job done to the best of their abilities; Yuriko liked to think she shared these qualities too, and that was why she was much happier she was now with the Brotherhood. She had to admit to herself that she was looking forward to working with Mystiques daughter.

Her mind had wandered she realised and she clicked back into the room at the sound of her name as Pheobe discussed some stragetgy to their infiltration. At the same time she realised that in a way she would be better off now in her room with her laptop hacking into the Institutes systems and other areas of use. Bringing her hands up from her lap to the table, the metal finger nails clicking a little against the hard surface she spoke directly to Mystique;

"I think I would be better off getting to work on that information you require Mystique, if it is ok I will go and start that now, the sooner i get it all the sooner we can deploy." Yuriko spoke matter-of-factly, her tone strong enough to show that she wanted to go, but not to harsh as to show disrespect to the Brotherhoods leader. She assumed Mystique would see the logic in her leaving and readied herslef to leave, her mind already starting to form ideas of how to break the various security algorithms that she would have to face.
