Twuuuu laaaav
reading Fred's post on L*....got me curious....
do you believe that there is one person out there for everyone?
none?
do you believe that who you end up with is soley based on your own decisions and will?or based partly or solely on some kind of grand design?
I have had the experience of finding the *one* actually several *ones*..lol..
and in the moment i was with them all they were each the 'one'...for that time...
when i was younger i felt such a sense of destiny about it all i used to wonder where the person was and what he was doing etc...wondering if he was thinking and wondering about me...
now.....the feeling of there being just one person is almost claustrophobic as much as it provides a kind of security in the idea..

make sure to fill in all fields
mmmh... I think there might actually be one "best match", but who that is probly changes depending on what phase of life you're in. Anyway, the probability that you'll ever find that special person must be incredibly low. And I don't think it's anything to do with "destiny", except that the whole universe is preprogrammed--but not in a benevolent or "caring" or human-centric fashion, it just is. So if you do feel "right" about someone (and not just because of a lack of alternatives)...then that *is* the one (for the time being)...or the ones if you're talking about multiple someones...will stop before I confuse myself

Re: make sure to fill in all fields
I think sometimes you just have to shut up and "ride" destiny, so to speak. But I'm not sure if that has anything to do with this subject...

I couldn't answer either way. My husband and I are on the same wavelength, met completely by circumstance from opposite ends of the country, and go together perfectly. But, I absolutely believe in polyamory (being in love with more than one person at once), so... I don't know. One right, one wrong, who's to say?

True love....i've been thinking about this while i was away...
well..
to me the truest love can be between friends or lovers or strangers...
and it consists of sincerely wishing the best for the other person even if it means you not being in their life.

I believe that there is one person out there for everyone. I just find it strange that they're usually found within 50-100 miles of the place you first start looking.

weird co-inky-dink, I guess.

hi jen.

Hmm....interesting. not sure if i'd noticed that(the within 50 -100 miles thing)...maybe cuz i haven't met em yet.lol.
or have I? *looks around slowly*
well....okay so if you believe that theres one person for everyone..
do you think its always the person you end up with or maybe someone who you are with early on and then you seperate.....i mean people tend to think of the person your meant to be with being the one you end up with....because thats the most comforting way to look at it i guess....not sure what i believe...the closest 2 times i've come to feeling like i had met *that* person...well....either nothing could happen exactly because of problems in one or another person's life or something did happen but it blew up in our face cuz we couldn't handle the intensity of it.but then......i'm 26. i suppose we shall see.
oh and..
Hi JV!
as usual you startled the @#%$ out of me.

and..
I guess the main thing is...
obviously most people fall in love a few times in their lifetimes....
so falling deeply in love doesn't necessarily mean that someone is the *one* for you.i think thats where people get confused...feeling that every time they fall in love it has to be the *one* or else its hard to handle the idea of losing the person while your still in love with them..or the idea that it may be temporary...and that i know for me has always made it hard to let go in the moment.

Ties that bind
Sorry, gotta shoot that one out of the water. Wife and I lived 175 miles apart at the time...at least our mailing addresses anyway.

The way the human race is, I am often amazed there is ANYONE within 50-100 miles of where I'm standing at any given point that I might along with at all....

Re: Oooh.
When I was little I had such a sense of the person being out there somewhere, wondering about me and where I was...
it was such a magical feeling.
I feel so jaded lately...I want to get that knowing back.
but then i guess i can't be too depressed that none of the people i've been with have t urned out to be that person, because deep down I know I will have a knowing about them
and there will be little doubt when they come around..
of course it gets painful because there are different feelings one gets about people...
sometimes things seem right even if they don't make sense, and then it all goes to hell.
I really want that innocent feeling of knowing back.|I :\
