Unscheduled weekend date! July 18-20
Since we didn't get quite as much fencing done as we had planned, we have scheduled another work weekend. It will be July 18-20. We will be leaving the campsite at 9:00 Saturday morning to head straight to Dutch John to get our work done. If you cannot be there by 9:00 you will have to meet us on the trail. Please be on time because we will not wait. We have lots to do. We will be brining our lunch on the trail and will not be returning to camp for a late dinner. Probably around dark. If we get done early (yeah right) then we will leave the trail sooner. If there is more work to be done we will leave the campsite at 9:00 Sunday morning as well so those that want to leave Uwharrie to head home will have plenty of time.
Please bring any and everyone who is serious about helping the forest trail system remain open. We have lots of work to do. Anyone from other groups or clubs are welcome to join us!
We will still have the work weekend in August too.

Just so you know, we will be pulling out of camp at no later than 9am sharp... After recent problems waiting on people it was decided that this was best... "IF" you do not meet up with us before 9am and we have left, drive in from the RML/Slab pile end and park at the top of the BIG hill... This should let you avoid most of the obstacles and you can easily find us at the bottom of the hill... Look for our banner...

Mark i gotta work that weekend. sorry. start my vacation 21st july to 31st july spending a week in the mountains to incude 2 days riding at tellico then 2 or 3 days at the beach. wish i could help. i'll cross post your message to my site. maybe somebody will be bored and need a weekend away.

Thanks for the thought Haley! From the sound of it you have a situation of your own to handle currently... Give your trail the attention needed and once finished drop by anytime... My summer hours are filling up fast but I may be able to drop you a hand sometime also to return the favor...

I would be there to help you guys out, but I have to go to Rocky Mount for my in-laws surprise birthday party. Have been planning it for a while. I'll definitely be at the next one, though!

Just so you know....... We prefer you to drive your rig so we can count it but it is not a have to do thing... There are always empty seat available for others who wish to help out... You can drive down in your car and ride along...
Vehicles are worth $50 bucks each per day...
Man hours are worth $12 bucks an hour...
As you see, both are better but any is a great help...
