Physical Description:

Vivian seems to fall into a very typical class of girls her age: She
aspires to be the beautiful rebel. Thin, but not skinny; and short but not unusually so for her sex and age, she falls into the relatively
average category for most issues. Her movements, generally are confidant yet aloof, seeming to stroll about without a care in the world. She bounces lightly as she walks, looking to be full of giddy energy. She always holds herself with good posture, never seeming to slouch. In fact, watching her walk would give the viewer the impression of an athletic lifestyle, though her muscle mass does not lend credit to such
an accusation.

Luckily for her, the Constantine sister has never had much of a problem with her skin. It is fair and smooth, if seeming to lack a little bit of sun. Her lips are full, and a little on the pouty side. She believes her nose to be just a bit too large for her face, but remains overall content with how she looks. Her eyes, usually lined in dark makeup, are a light olive green. More often than not, those eyes seem to be able to look right into your very being and assess the situation, being just as empathetically inclined as her brother. Aside from the eyes, she keeps her makeup to a minimum, occasionally throwing on some gloss, or actually going full-out for a special occasion. She has a small birthmark on the upper left side of her mouth that she adores.

Vivian keeps her hair long, though it often keeps the same wind-tossed look that her brother always seemed to have. For a long time she attempted to tame the wild strands, but eventually gave in and allowed the locks the freedom they wished. Viv's hair is naturally a brown, but it was dyed slightly red, highlights thrown in seemingly randomly, but manage to paint a picture that is not unpleasing to look at. On very rare occasions, she will tie the mess back into a neat ponytail.

Early in life, the female Constantine fell in with her younger brother's crowd, and that lent her the clothing style that she continues to wear to this day. She always manages to say "punky" somehow with her ensemble, even if it is something small on a generally normal outfit. Previously, her style would allow anything from short skirts, high boots, and tank tops to ripped blue jeans and a t-shirt. Currently, however, she does not have a great access to a cache of accessories...

Vivian's voice actually has a large range to it. She had sung publicly on more than one occasion, and should she choose to lift her voice, it shows. It can fall anywhere between an alto and a mid-soprano, though she's been able to hit an impressive high note once or twice (Though she prefers not to!). In conversation, she does not manage to give off the 'southern accent' that most that originate in Texas do. Living around the Houston area gave her a wide range of people to pick up from, and Vivian simply never adopted the southern twang. When she speaks, her emotions are as clear as if she wrote them on a chalkboard. When she's happy there is a giddiness to her tone, a giggle seeming just behind her words. When times are running hard, she wears her pain on her sleeve, gloom hanging on every syllable.

Mutant Powers:

Reportedly, Vivian's Grandmother, Amy Lee Constantine, was an incredibly powerful mutant. Though she hardly knew her grandma, Vivian, as her younger brother, inherited the Mutant X gene from her.

The Constantine sister possesses an aura that manipulates the growth and pace of the essence of life about her on a small scale, and more so when she concentrates upon it. When her aura is strong, it materializes about her in a gentle white flame, in complete contrast to her brother's black aura.
This power, however, is very wild. Vivian can will the aura to work upon a certain area or subject, though she has little control of what it will do. When agitated or filled with another strong emotion, plants have been known to sprout from anything in which they could spring from. Moss will grow over surfaces that it could survive upon, and little flowers will spring from that.

Conceivably, this power -could- be used as an offensive ability, but she has not had the training nor opportunity to do so. A root could extend from the earth and wrap around an opponents ankles, as an example.
Though it would seem to fall perfectly in line with her powers, Vivian is not a healer. However, she is very close to it. When near to her, a person's body systems seem to work double-time and at ease. A human (or mutant) in the range of her aura would feel as if they had taken an energy drink or two, depending on the individual. Her aura also helps with a white blood cell count, she herself never have gotten sick a day in her life. Should she sit beside a person's bed long enough (more than likely a couple days), she could help a person fight off diseases anywhere from a mild cold to raging fevers.
(Vivian is NOT the cure to cancer. :P)
In addition, a person that were to completely die while near her influence simply would not (Unless the reason were something in which a person couldn't live at all, IE: decapitation or something else as dramatic). The aura causes the body's cells to fight for life all that they can, so unless someone bleeds to death, or otherwise finds themselves in a more-than-compromising situation, they would manage to hold on as long as Vivian can. This, however, is quite taxing, and requires all of her concentration as well as keeping physical contact with the recipient.
As a note: Vivian's life aura completely cancels out the effects of Aiden's death aura, and vice versa. They do not affect each other, power wise, in any respect. To clerify, those in the radius of both auras at once, the siblings included, would most likely feel very strange, but experience neither the energy drain OR gain.

Skills:

To be very blunt, Vivian Constantine always found sports to be a silly pastime in life, and never took up the hobby. She is not very physically oriented, and though coordinated, she was never in half the shape as her brother. She attended many of Aiden's martial arts classes, and sat as a bench warmer. He had shown her a few things before they were separated, but even as she paid attention, she could never really put much force behind an attack. Vivian has never gotten into a physical fight in her life, as of yet.
There are, however, two things that Vivian was always very good at, her music and dealing with people.
She and Aiden had a little high school rock band while they attended classes, and the group was rather successful. It never left the neighborhood, but they had managed to win more than one talent show through their efforts. Vivian sang both lead and backup on nearly every occasion, and has skill in both the piano and the violin.
Also, the female Constantine has always had a knack for dealing with other people. She's been able to analyze what a person was going through, empathize, and offer advice and simply be there for someone when they needed her. This gained her many a friend in the chaotic years of high school.

Personality:

Managing to slide somewhere in between 'Rebellious' and 'Nice', Vivian is always seeming to be on the move. When she is happy the world knows it, when she's sad, the world knows it, and when she is angry... probably only her brother would find out.
Always being an open person, Vivian never had a problem making friends nor enemies. She has always been true to herself, remained who she was, regardless of if anyone liked it or not. When someone did something that she believed out of line, she told them about it, though not in a combative manner. Being a natural empath, she always seemed to be aware of where someone was coming from, and took great lengths to explain a situation to a person in a manner that they would understand it. Her brothers, from two completely different worlds, frequently found the shorter girl between them, diffusing an argument that might have ended up as something bigger than it actually became.
Vivian was never a shy thing, and if you were named as one of her friends, upon being seen you would, more likely than not, be hugged within five seconds. Her flare seemed to translate itself into everything else about her, from her clothing to the reddish streaks in her hair.
However, her being as open as she is also made her sensitive to certain attitudes. If someone sought to make her angry, it was fairly easy to do so. She could be worked up easily, but Vivian would never resort to much past a witty retort and quickly leaving. Negativity, crying, screaming in anger, or deep pain is something that she would rather have the general public not knowing she possessed. She typically holds her pain in and releases it later when no one is looking, or to someone she trusts deeply.
Typically an individual that is very content with her life (Until recently!), she always holds a smile on her face, taking sheer joy from merely being alive and breathing in oxygen. (Oh, how the tides have turned! I almost feel bad now!)

Likes:Rock music, music in general, Friendship, horror flicks, being different, poetry, supporting someone in need, cherry coke, animals... preferably the fluffy ones.

Dislikes: Negativity, Violence, physical pain, emotional trauma of any type (Wow...i DO feel bad.)

History

Not surprisingly, the history of Vivian Constantine parallels her brother's to a great degree, just in the sheer amount of time that they spent together. The earlier years, as well, paralleled much of the human race. Full of exploration and intrigue. The journey to find one's self, and to find where they fit into the scheme of things. For Vivian, it turned out to be by the side of her younger brother than that of her older.
Where Aiden began growing towards an empathetic approach, David slowly edged down the path of apathy. The eldest Constantine grew to become competitive in a relatively non-competitive environment, which threw off his younger siblings. When he was old enough to get into sports, he was there, running off to the game and coming back with gloating stories to tell. This only brought more and more distance between them as they grew older, Vivian looking up to Aiden much more than David. Aiden cared more, and that seemed to make all the difference in the world. In the younger years, where David sought to become the best at everything else, Aiden contented himself to be a good brother. They could talk and not get into an argument (more often than not!), and whenever Vivian really had run into a problem, her youngest brother was there for her.
Thus it was as they entered High School. David had nearly pulled completely away, really only spending any time with their sports-oriented father. All three children held a close relationship with their mother, who was rather understanding and loving of all her children. Still, just into 9th grade, David was already sitting at a different lunch table than his other siblings.
Quickly though, David almost seemed not to matter. Vivian's world was a rush. She had made friends quickly, and was quickly spending nights over at other people's houses gossiping about the cute boys as a girl her age would. She had edged her way into a category of 'popular' while not managing to become arrogant or surround herself with people that were untrue. She was loud enough, both vocally and visually, to attract attention, while remaining kind and confidant enough to keep true to her principles.
Near the end of her freshman year, the school's talent show was approaching. The lunch table had been working on convincing Aiden to play something for weeks, so he had begun bringing his prized guitar with him. While he was playing one day, Vivian took the chance and sang along with her brother's music, and the table exploded in giggles and applause. It wasn't long before they had managed a band together from their friends about the school, and they moved to take the talent show with a powerful rock song that toppled the usual rap shows. It was a great ending to Vivian's freshman year.
Over the summer, Vivian found herself in her first real relationship, Jake, a kind boy that seemed to want nothing more than to take care of her and make her happy. As usual, Vivian was giddy, and the duo remained together for many months. By the middle of her sophomore year however, the relationship turned towards disaster. As relationships often do, the pair began drifting just slightly apart. Jake kept nudging at her to pull her off in his social direction, to act a little less loud and a little more proper, but she wouldn't have it. So, he began to head off in his own direction, and a few weeks later, Vivian saw him kissing another girl in the halls.
The following torrent of emotion made her think she was going to come apart. She'd been with Jake, and happy, for nearly three quarters of a year. Now, she didn't know what to do with herself. In the end, it was Aiden that really helped her through it. She could talk to him about it and let all the mess of anger and sorrow out, when she couldn't tell anyone else. It drove her mad she couldn't be more vocal about it, but regardless, it was those long weeks that really sealed the younger siblings' friendships together for life.
At the end of the year, the Talent Show came about again, and Vivian again took the win. It was just her and Aiden on stage (He with an acoustic guitar instead of his trademark electric), and she let out a deeply sorrowful song of letting go, and wishing the ex-love of her life farewell. The relationship's end had become slightly public by the time of the show, and Vivian received a standing applause.
The summer following proved to be more dramatic. Sitting in the field behind the Constantine house, Vivian watched the sky pass and was wondering to herself where her life was taking her. She caught a movement out of the corner of her eye and looked down to see a patch of flowers growing next to her... at an accelerated rate. A small bed was there within the span of ten minutes, and Viv sat entranced, watching the show before moving, and wondering what in the world was going on. Hours later the word "MUTANT" jumped into her brain, and she panicked. She didn't come down for dinner when it was called, and hid in her room. She'd heard how her parents had spoken of them before, though quiet and secretively. Monsters they were. Dangerous.
Vivian suddenly became very scared.
Junior year began. Same song with a different beat. Classes were easier and Vivian was a little less tense in some ways... but more in others. She began experimenting with her powers (before Aiden had discovered his), and began to learned how they worked. Though she wasn't aware of it, she had less to worry about than the soon-to-be-named Thantos, her aura creative instead of destructive. She could create flowers on call now, mosses and grass sprouting from the wood floor of her room. On one occasion, the family dog had become ill. After spending a while with him, Vivian loosed her aura when no one was looking, white flames licking down her thin arms, and gently enveloped the canine. A day later, he was bounding along like nothing had ever happened.
Then, all of a sudden, the day came.
It was nearly homeroom. Vivian was heading to where she needed to when she saw David throw Aiden up against a locker. Hard. Without another thought, she began pushing her way through the crowd to get to them... but the rest of the students had seen the scuffle as well. The crowd thickened into a ring. She pushed and pushed to get through, screaming all the time, but it was near impossible. She caught glimpses, her older brother kneeling atop her younger, raining down punches to Aiden's ribs and face. As she got closer and closer, she saw the swings slowing. When she finally broke through the crowd, David collapsed atop Aiden, lifeless. Her horror rose and she pulled the husk of David off of her brother, and upon touching him, she KNEW. He was gone.. The touch of life in him was completely spent. There was nothing she could do, powers or no, to revive her football hero brother. She screamed.
“Stay away! Don’t you dare touch me, sis!”
The words would echo in Vivian's mind for a long time.
The rest of the day blurred past her. Ambulances. Her parents. Furious. Torn. Broken. She couldn't give a description, because she wasn't close enough, but someone at the inner-ring of the fight mentioned the sight of black flames. Mutant. The Constantine's child was a mutant. Her father raged, and Vivian began to cry, not just for her brother but for the secret knowledge that she too was a terrible thing to the ones that raised her.
That night, Aiden snuck in the window. They talked in whispered tones for far too short a time before the bedroom door was kicked in and police officers grabbed the both of them..
She could never forget the looks on their parent's faces. Her father's read of betrayal. Her betrayal of him. Her mother just sobbed.
“They’re going to kill us! Or take us to a freak show lab! You know it!!”
Her cry of terror and pain fell on def ears.
The street. The police cars. Strong men hauling her towards the back seat of one. All she could do was scream Aiden's name. The door closed behind her. Vivian pounded on the back window, still screaming for her brother. She saw the black flare about him again, more like a blaze this time, and he had begun fighting. Both police men went down by the time the drivers of her car had hit the gas, and she almost had hope.
Then, she knew nothing but pain as a tazer was held at the base of her skull for about twenty seconds. White flames flared around her, but there was nothing for any life to take hold on. As the pain died, Vivian collapsed onto the seat, half conscious.
The last things she remembered were the snide words of the second officer. "Seems you're worth a lot of money, with whatever powers you have. I'm sure A. Corp. will keep you good company for the rest of your life, little girl."
Vivian Constantine passed out, a tear running from her eye and smearing the dark makeup surrounding the pale green orb.

((Vivian is currently being held in the testing labs of the A. Corp. There'll be a thread up in the Participation Request area to start things with her once/if she's accepte[/b]

Re: Vivian Constantine, Aiden's sister
ooookay, it's late and I'm sleepy-ish... so you've got good chances of I missing some thingies *nods*

*reads* well done on the description bit ^^

Powers: Just for clarification purposes - when you say her and her brother's powers cancel each other out, is that only in regards to the respective other sibling or generally? I.e. do their powers still have an effect on other people around them or is it like they didn't have any abilities at all when together? What radius are we talking about here?

and now... *slaps*...that's for being so mean to the girly :evil

It's a wonderful bio though, Josh, you did a great job here!!
I've got nothing to complain about really.

Unless she's gonna "leave" A.Corp. before the CO, I could offer Matt for a thread. There's gonna be a lot of drama and BANG and BOOM nd a light show... ;)

Memories consume
Like opening the wound
You all assume
I'm safe here in my room

I don't want to be the one
The battles always choose
'Cause inside I realize
That I'm the one confused

I don't know what's worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream
I don't know why I instigate
And say what I don't mean

I try to catch my breath again
I hurt much more
Than anytime before
I had no options left again

I'll paint it on the walls
'Cause I'm the one at fault
I'll never fight again
And this is how it ends

So I'm breaking the habit tonight
And so she bowed to what she thought was fate

and neglected the last of humanity's ancient lies

Re: Vivian Constantine, Aiden's sister
...not if the Angiekins doesn't approve of whatever Bangs and Booms are planned towards her A.Corpness and its individuals.

In anycase, sorry for my delay Joshy, yesterday was strangely taxing despite it's lack of activities and I struggled to get a postie done for Dan that I promised, other than that, was offline mostly all day.. But now I'm at work and free to read over it lol. I like the details you've placed through the bio, well done, I can definitely see you've put a lot of effort into the bio and I understand why you've been so eager for someone to read the bio and comment, it does makes a nice read. -nods-

From your power description I'd say that Viv and Aiden's abilites don't work on each other but still work in general, right? Perhaps a bit more detail there to better explain whichever aim you're going for, as Matt is right in the sense that people could get confused on which sense you mean they cancel out.

Get back to me on MSN when you can, I'm home tomorrow all day, if you're able to hop on at night for you I should be around if you're able to catch me, we could plan a thread in A.Corp for her, I've got some charries she can interact with that could be hostages as well, and of course I got a baddie or two from A.Corp. It depends on what you want, I've got a few ideas and a few charries, we can plot out what sort of scene you want Vivian to come in on and be involved with. I'm looking forward to thiiiiis -nods lots-

Oh, and...-stampies- well done. Who's the actress you're using? And I like your side pic -nods-

*waves frantically*

Thanks for the comments. As always, creative criticism is always welcome, as it builds on the characters. In regards to the question of the auras, I've edited it. To keep you from having to page through it...here's the edits.

As far as planning goes...I'll start up a thread in the Participation Requests whenever I'm done with work in about...five hours or so. For now, though, I leave you all with a thank you and a farewell. :D

And yes. Chels is very good at picking out celebs. xD
