Hmm...
I must say that I prefer Balto of the movies listed. *lol* Though I did enjoy the Beethoven movies, as well as Homeward Bound. White Fang and Call of the Wild were also good movies, as they were great books.
Re: Hmm...
I'd never forgive myself if I said anything BUT Balto! No movie has ever (or will ever, I doubt it would anyway, except maybe Balto II? *grin*) touched me as Balto has...however I also liked all of the other movies, Homeward Bound is a runner-up(though probably not the only one, they're ALL good): I can remember a few quotes from it although I haven't seen it in quite awhile!
my first balto experience lol
lol like u need to ask that:P . lets see, when i first saw balto, it was being advertised on sky. i didnt think anything of it. i was not a fan of cartoons before then...if they were on and i wasnt doing anything, i might watch them. i did love dogs, huskies and wolves before then tho.
well a few weeks past since the advertisements and it came on. i was on my own and flicking thru the channals. i saw it and thought this is new...watched 5 min of it (it must have been less than a 1/4 thru...just as he goes back to his boat). well i listened and watched...i was hooked. there was this cartoon dog and i couldnt stop watching lol. i couldnt explain it, something clicked in my head and it seemed almost familiar. i dont know, but the next time it came on (cos sky tend to show the same film over and over and over and over lol) i taped it and watched ti again and again. thats why i have so many copies cos they wear out lol. but ever sinse then, ive gotten into animation alot more and watch all kinds of cartoons...but balto is always going to be the special one.
one other thing that pulled me to it was the voice...dont get me wrong, i dont fancy kevin bacon lmao but have u noticed that the tone of balto's voice is different to other movies? u watch any other cartoon movie and the sound of the main characters voice is much softer...but baltos stands out. its distinct, not nicey pie, cute etc...maybe its just me...

Re: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ALL TIME DOG MOVIE.
Besides Balto, I LOVED the movie the Plague Dogs. the book was written by the same person who wrote Watership Down, and the movie was made by the same people. plague dogs happens to be one of my top 3 animated movies.
my other fav dog movies include OLD YELLER (even though I was like negative 40 years old when it was made), Lady and the tramp-still, beethoven, BINGO (one of the top 3 dog movies), and Momeward Bound 1 and 2.
Re: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ALL TIME DOG MOVIE.
The Plague Dogs rocks, really. I love that film too, the poor fox. I liked the fox, he was my favourite. Very dark film though, not for kids, lol.

tough!
hmmm.. I lke all of them but Balto rules ! Paws down!
but I like Lady and the tramp and All dogs go to heaven.
Re: tough!
Being a furry I tend to like all furry films, except 'Rover Dangerfield' which is cack. 'Lady and the Tramp', ADGTH, all o' that lot yeah, they're great! Balto does bettoi than them though because there's no awful singing, lol.
Re: tough!
Hmm, Balto's definately the best, though I like the others. Yecch, I hate Bingo. I saw the end of it on Disney, and was tricked into believing it had a point. Then I rented it, and it was like a bad, live-action saturday morning cartoon, only with kids swearing and dogs drinking. Yecch. But the dog was cute.
Ooooooh...I wanna see Plague Dogs...wanted to ever since I heard about it...don't give anything away, I don't want to know what you meant by "poor fox". o.o

"Remind me to thank John for a lovely weekend." Ian Malcolm, Jurassic Park
Thakur turned away, his whiskers quivering. Ratha cocked her head at him. "May you eat of the haunch and sleep in the driest den, clan herders," she said politely to Srass and Tevran.
As Thakur passed her, she heard him growl under his breath, "May your tail be chewed off and all your fur fall out, Tevran."
Yeah you HAVE to see The Plague Dogs! I won't spoil anything for you by saying that it is a truly brilliant animation IMO, go rent it as soon as you can.
I didn't really like 'Bingo' much either, but I was only a toddler when I saw it so I thought it was okay at the time. =D

RE:WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE ALL TIME DOG MOVIE
I would have to say all dogs go to heaven thats so cool.
Balto is good to.
Re: RE:WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE ALL TIME DOG MOVIE
ADGTH is okay, but I liked the sequel bettoi. The singing is debatable in the original, lol. When I first heard it I thought it was cack, but then on the second hearing thought it was class. A bit strange if you ask me.

Re: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ALL TIME DOG MOVIE.
hehe.. not a lot of choice there. ;)
I'd have to put Balto up next to All Dogs go to Heaven though as my favourites. I use to draw a lot of pictures of Charlie from ADGH since my own dog, Jeep, was a German Shepherd mutt.
Wait, I think I remember seeing one of those pictures when I was cleaning up the other day...
Re: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ALL TIME DOG MOVIE.
Aww, that is so cute! There should be more innocent art like that up on the web rather than a lot of the darker stuff that's around nowadays. It's class to use paints too, it makes a change. Lol, if I tried paints though I'd probably wreck the entire thing, heheheh, the last time I used paints was probably in art class 4 years ago.
Re: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ALL TIME DOG MOVIE.
hehe, I think there's probably a place for both. I'm still painting and such these days and sometimes what I create is really dark and sober ( adwin.ca/athena/art_aq.html ) and sometimes it's really light and fluffy ( adwin.ca/athena/art_red.html )... all depends on what you're trying to express.
We need the Princess Mononoke's along with the Aristocats' in this world... ;)
And paint if you want to! It just takes practice after all. Sometimes my greatest surprise comes out of the fact that I manage to get closer to the image in my head then I thought my hands were actually capable of.

Re: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ALL TIME DOG MOVIE.
Yeash I guess it does depebnd on the mood of the observer as to what art they'd want to look at, and you have to try to cater for the entire range. It wouldn't let me enlarge your pictures (stupid school computers) but ther thumbnails looked nice! The photograph looks a lot like England, lol. Little Red is a nice picture even though it's being a bit mean to wolves by promoting the Red Riding Hood perspective. Still, the art is great!
Lol, oh no, you don't want to see my attempts at self-expression through art. I'm bad enough with words and songs let alone trying to make colours and images say something to those who look at them.
Re: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ALL TIME DOG MOVIE.
Agh.. how does one illustrate Little Red Riding Hood and not have a mean wolf? It just wouldn't be the same story if it was a aardvark and then people would say I was poorly representing aardvarks. ;P
hehe.. sorry, stuff like this bugs me sometimes. It just seems to me that literature is often getting slammed for being inappropriate to the modern audience because of some bit of PC'ness that they couldn't have conceived of back then...
