Waking at the Brotherhood
(( Continued from "Messy messy" ))
"What makes ya think yer so safe now?" Her half-closed robin blue eyes glanced at the claws that he allowed to be in plainview for a moment then she went to watching him through his reflection in the mirror. She hadn't really thought that there was a hundred percent chance of him not deciding to maim or otherwise brutalize and kill her but she had a thought in her mind that he wouldn't have mentioned the Brotherhood in the way he did if he planned on doing that. Faye knew better than to push her luck though, and on top of that, she didn't feel like makin gthat comment out loud.
"Well, a girl can dream, can't she?" She replied with a grin as she folded an arm under her head for a pillow. She hadn't become paniced about his words even if she had heard some about his reputation. The sight of the blood that stained his hands didn't bother her either. She like the sight of blood. Faye only wished she had been there to see it when the blood was being spilled, it would have been fun to watch.
Her heart gave a final wrench which almost made her show the discomfort but instead, she closed her eyes, holding her breath for a second then letting it out when the pain left as suddenly as it came.It was over finally, her heart wouldn't be bothering her until the next time she over-did it. Sleep, it wouldn't be resisted for much longer even if she wanted to stay awake. Had it been a human behind the wheel, even one that seemed like they were of no danger to her, she would have fought with all her might to stay awake. But he was a mutant, even if he was a murderous and cold-blooded one. And that was actually a better choice to her.
It came suddenly. She hadn't even realized that she had fallen out until the dreams started. It was nice to escape a monday morning even if it had been pretty eventful. To her, the dreams seemed to drag on forever and when she opened her eyes again, she felt a bit disoriented, for a moment not remembering the earlier events in the day then it all piecing together as she sat up from where she lay. A few hours had passed by at least, that much she knew due to the usual routine of how things went. She couldn't tell if it had been two or twelve though. Faye looked around to see where she was now.
It was a strange room. Kind of messy one although it looked like it hadn't been used in a while. Definately wasn't a hotel, not that she would have thought the man would have dropped her off at one. She would have sooner thought he'd drop her in an alley than that. Now that she knew that she was taken to who knew where, she looked at her watch to figure out how long she had been gone for. It had been a little over four hours. Ok, that wasn't too bad concidering she had slept for nine after one of her attacks before.
Thirst tickled the back of her throat as it usually did when she woke up and she gave a small swallow as she weighed the decision of either making herself a drink or going to find a kitchen to get one from. Well, concidering that she had done a lot of creating, she took the second choice.
Sliding out of the bed, she stood then seeing an already opened door, she went to it. As she made her way to the door, she had seen a glimpse of the outdoors so she could tell she was on the second floor of whatever building this was. That gave her some clue on where to go, her knowing that kitchens were usually on the first floor of a house or building. As she stepped into the hall, she caught glimpse of Sabretooth walking away and a smirk came to her lips. So he hadn't just dropped he roff at some random place. She had an idea of where this was but she wouldn't assume though.
"Wasn't as long as I expected but it was long enough." She commented as she picked up her pace to catch up to him a little. Giving the man respect of private space, she slowed when she got within two feet of him.
The drive went smoothly despite Sabretooth's slightly faded sense of direction. He remembered the way well enough though, despite his constant travels and time spent away from New York. Nothing had gone wrong, and hijacked car was now securely locked away in Brotherhoods garage.
However, finding her a spot in which to rest proved a bit more trying. Creed's original thought was to drop on the closest piece of furniture, and continue on with his life. But, chances were another member would assume her homeless or to be an intruder we're they to spot her unattended. So, Sabretooth left her temporarily lifeless body in one of the vacant dorms. She was placed on the small twin mattress, which was devoid of even sheets.
In the four hours past, Sabretooth had been fairly consistent when it came to checking in on Faye. About every half an hour or so, he'd venture back up to her dorm. It wasn't like there was anything better to do with his time at the moment, And it damn well wasn't out concern. Creed hadn't really thought about it, that was probably best for her sakes too, or else he might just have left Faye to fend for herself.
We're someone else to have seen, they more than likely would have been surprised just how often the feral murderer had gone to check in on the young girl. There in the doorway stood the large brutish man, glancing in on the possible new recruit. He looked a bit different now too. That large leather coat of his was gone, now all he was wearing was a simple black pair of jeans and a plain white wife beater. Those long blond locks of his were a bit more tamed and been brushed behind him a bit more. A thin gray wisp of smoke lingered above him, stemming from the thick cuban cigar resting on that slight frown of his.
Seeing that the girl was still asleep at that second, he turn back down the hall, most likely heading to the lounge to check out the news. Exhaling a small stream of smoke as he walked, Sabretooth took his time. The cigar itself gave a nice scent, even for someone with an enhanced sense of smell. It clearly wasn't a cheap one. Not that Sabretooth ever really care when it came to cigars, expensive ones were commonly given away by many of the wealthier employers he's worked for.
"Wasn't as long as I expected but it was long enough."
He had heard the bedsprings, her footsteps, and slightly warped floor board she had step on. But, he still waited for her to say something. As she did, Creed stopped and slowly turned to face her. Taking the cigar into his right hand, he spoke with a grin. "Shouldn't be runnin' around this place... could get yerself killed doin' that..." The tone again had intent to instill fear. In fact it was a bit of a game.
She still had shown enough nerve to approach him, that definitely instilled a slight interest in her. Faye so far had proved strength in several ways, but there was a part of him that still wanted to find her limitations, and then shatter them. To see how long she can keep her cool while in the presence of a psychopathic murder like himself.
Re: Waking at the Brotherhood
He stopped and slowly turned to face her and she watched as he took the cigar he had been smokin into one hand. A grin was settled on his lips as he spoke. "Shouldn't be runnin' around this place... could get yerself killed doin' that..." He told her. His tone was something most people would have found un-nerving but Faye didn't really expect any less from him. He was a killer, he was probably used to scaring the crap out of people.. So his way of speaking was what was naturally expected to come out of his mouth.
Her hand came up and combed through her hair, takign the loose strands out from in front of her face and moving all of it back for a moment before she lowered her hand again and the blonde locks fell back into the same arrangement except a little neater. The action wasn't out of bad nerves but simply to clear her view as she made her reply. "Well, I shouldn't be running around and picking up strangers either but that turned out ok, didn't it?" She commented with a half-smile. Restign her hands at her hips, she spoke again. "What's a girl have to do around here to get a drink? I figured sitting around waiting wouldn't be to." She told him with a small smirk.
"By the way, thanks for not just ditching me in an alley or something. Don't worry, I won't get all mushy on you. Just giving a thanks." She said. In her mind, she was going over the fact that she couldn't believe how big this guy was. She had had a clue before but in the time she had actually seen him, she hadn't had a chance to take it all in until now. The large leather coat wasn't covering him up anymore and the wifebeater and jeans he was wearing now didn't do much to hide his physique. She could only imagine how easily he could tear people apart.
The thought of the gore didn't bother her. It actually had her planning on trying ot watch him at work one day. She liked things like that, especially when it involved non-mutant deaths.
Re: Waking at the Brotherhood"Well, I shouldn't be running around and picking up strangers either but that turned out ok, didn't it ~ What's a girl have to do around here to get a drink? I figured sitting around waiting wouldn't be to."
Halfway through her speech, Faye began to speak a bit too comfortably for her own good. Although her first question was yet to be seen, Creed did have a few answers for the second one. Granted they'd most likely be crude. "I gotta few ideas..." His new found smirk told just how lascivious that comment was, the added tone would only heighten that feeling. Sleazy? Of course he was. It was something you could usually expect from Sabretooth while around women. There were very few women that were exempt from such comments.
Her thanks went right into one ear and out the other. He wasn't trying to help her. He just... uhhh... didn't have anything better to do?? There was no way he'd never admit to kindness of any sort. Were Faye to mention it too much more, Sabes might just have to kill her for it. Sabretooth told himself he only saved because her powers could prove useful, nothing more. Kindness was a vulnerability that under rare and highly unusual circumstances could possibly effect him. Denial however, was it's best defense. He couldn't afford to show that vulnerability, although there have been a handful of people that seen it. Those few knew he wasn't a complete monster. His darker side simply over shadowed those few good deeds.
As the cigar found it's place back in his lips, Sabretooth slowly turned to look down the stair case not too far away. "Tha' kitchen's downstairs, down tha' hall third door on yer' left..." Came her directions to the kitchen. But, that smirk slowly came back as his next words developed themselves. "My rooms back thatta' way though, in case yer' lookin' fer' another way t'thank me." The additional comment was meant more along the line of his attempts to scare her than actual lust. Creed wondered if she knew of rape related crimes he's committed. Chances were if she knew of them, such comments might invoke that fear. Again, it was all back to testing her limits. Of course, it didn't hurt that Faye wasn't all that bad looking.
Re: Waking at the Brotherhood"I gotta few ideas..." The comment made her feel uncomfortable and caused her to move slightly away from Sabretooth as he made it. It was crude, something that was bound to come out of his mouth but she wasn't prepared for it. She hadn't realized until too late where her question would have led her walking right into that. The comment alone was enough to get the message across, his tone sleazy, but the smirk just topped it off. It sent a little tenseness through her shoulders and down her back.
"Tha' kitchen's downstairs, down tha' hall third door on yer' left..." Him giving her the directions ot the kitchen let her relax again a little, the hope of him just having ditched the thoughts that he might have been thinking rising up slightly. But then came his next statement that just made her tense up more than earlier. "My rooms back thatta' way though, in case yer' lookin' fer' another way t'thank me." He stated.
The thought wasn't at all a pleasant one. She knew of his reputation and that knowledge just made her all the more weary of him in that topic. Had he been trying to find a topic that'd make her uncomfortable, he had succeeded. She felt her body was a temple and it wasn't going to be done any old way. She especially wasn't going to give it up to the likes of him. No way in Hell. She was the one who was going to decide when she was or was not going to take that step with anyone and it wasn't going to be until she finally found someone she felt like that towards and until she was damn well ready. Neither was the case now and she was positive that it wasn't going to happen with him.
A slight narrowing came to those robin-egg blue colored eyes and her hands instinctively moved a little closer to her sides. "The kitchen sounds just dandy. I'll settle with that." She stated. Sure it was dangerous to shoot him down like that but she wasn't about to accept his offer. No way.The thought of it was repulsive actually but all that showed on her face was her discomfort and a slight twinge of annoyance at him saying something like that to her.
<Ok, now to add chastity belt to the list of things to make today...> She thought to herself. The comments had made her a little nervous, she didn't like it one bit. A chastity belt would definately help to comfort her though.
Faye moved herself over to the staircase, making sure not to turn her back towards him as she did so. She then quicker than she normally would have, made her way down the stairs.
