Week 3, Question 1- Big Bads and Evil-Doers
3. Big Bads and Evil-doers -
Sorry for the lateness, for the second fricking week. Dang meeting took forever and I forgot to make alternate plans with another mod. Anyhoo, here is the question:

Who is the only Big Bad that has been killed, but NOT by Buffy?

Notice that the question says "killed". Thus, Angel and Big Bad Willow don't count, seeing as how they're not dead.

"Nice pie charts, everyone!" -Willow, Go Fish."

"zander could feel the face of disgust on his own face."

Answer
That would be Glory, dispatched by Giles while in the body of Ben...or something like that.

Wait. . . there's a connection between Ben and Glory?

Re: Answer
Well, gee - I reckon that would be Glorificus/Ben - although I think there's room for argument.

Other Big Bads were killed by a combined effort. Buffy led the Mayor/snake to the trap, but the munitions were set by Xander. What killed Adam was in Buffy's body, but it was a combination of all the Scoobs. Buffy made Glorificus leave, and allowed Ben to return - and that could be viewed as Buffy either killing Glory - or not. Then Giles killed Ben's body, and I think that's what the question is getting at.

Re: Answer
And, by the way - I just want to point out that ANGEL IS TOO DEAD! So there.

Re: Answer
As a requested clarification: No, Angel does not count, as he was already dead, as is often the case with vampires. Now, stop talking semantics, and just keep it simple! And, I'M the one with sassy in my name? Tee-hee-hee!

Re: Answer
Glory (or Ben I suppose, since the fabulous Glorificus was in Ben-form at the time that Giles bludgeoned him/her with that big-ass hammer).

And Warren doesn't count cuz he wasn't a big bad anything except a big bad WUSS who deserved to be skinned alive!

Okay, I'm done.

Re: Answer
Well I would say it should be the Mayor who was blown up by Giles (he pressed the plunger).

In terms of Glory, well Giles killed Ben so his killing of an "innocent" prevented Glory from returning so in truth he did not really KILL the big bad in this instance.

Re: Week 3, Question 1- Big Bads and Evil-Doers

That would be Glory/Ben who was killed by Giles. I'm sure I won't be the only one to ask if there's some weird connection between Ben and Glory...

Re: Week 3, Question 1- Big Bads and Evil-Doers
Okay, folks. This here question is closed. A little bit of debate on this one. However, I made it clear from the get-go that we were talking about BIG BADS that were KILLED. So, since Warren wasn't a Big Bad, he doesn't count, and since Angel and Dark Magic Willow weren't killed, they don't count. And, I never meant any Big Bads SOLELY killed by Buffy, as the Scoobs have helped to kill every Big Bad, so there's no such thing as a Big Bad that Buffy can take lone credit for killing.

So, the correct answer is: Glory. She was left by Buffy to leave defeated, as Buffy couldn't kill her because she was connected to a human life. However, Giles was such a cold-blooded jelly donut that he did do it in order to keep Buffy and Dawn safe from future revenge by Glory.

I hope you all did well on that one. Now, go get on the next questions, or I'll spank every last one of you! And, not in the good way!
