Weird Florida Book Update
A message from Charlie! This is exciting!
Quote:FYI The Spookhunters will be featured in my Weird Fl book in two places, in a two page article about Ashley's Tavern and in another article titled "Midnight in the Castillo." In the latter, the Spookhunters are the predominate feature complete with several full color photographs from our venture to St. Augustine. I believe that will be a two or three page article. As you know from updates, the Weird Fl. book, to be released in May 2005, will be a major feature in Barnes & Noble stores all over Florida, however, the book will be sold in all their stores across the country. Another great claim, is that the Weird Fl book will be the largest such book ever published on Florida weirdness. The first edition will be 200,000 books. I think the Spookhunters will be pleased to know they will enjoy some fame, and I'm pleased to include them in this great publication. AND MORE.......
In the fictional novel that I'm about to finish, the Spookhunters are again featured in Chapter 6 in a scene at Ashley's when they come in with all their equipment & ouija board to investigate the place. In this scene there is some dialogue between their skeptic leader, a guy in an orange jumpsuit named "Owen" and the main character of the story. This novel is a ghost/murder mystery/romance story based on Ethel Allen's murder and the haunting legend of Ashley's Tavern. THUS....The Spookhunters will be appearing in two upcoming books being released this Spring.
Quote:You'll be pleased to know there are over 4,300 pre-publication orders for Weird Florida. If the rate of pre-orders continues we expect between 5000 and 6000 copies sold before the release date. This is quite unusual for pre-release sales, we might be looking at a next top ten book in the Florida market. It's beginning to get exciting for all of us.
