We're moving!!
Hello! I have some exciting news:
Are you sick of all these stupid advertisements? How about EZboard in general?
Keyframe has offered us a brand new, shiny forum, and we are now in the process of moving over.
The only downside is that these existing topics cannot be moved...but that is why this forum will stay up as an archive of Balto messages. We have *The* white wolf thread, after all!

I used to be very content with my EZboard...but now I have a 50% chance of actually being able to read messages once I get here. The ads freeze up my computer almost every time...
Gold wasn't really an option.... I'm not about to give a dime to my EZboard and my members aren't either. ;-) I'm afraid there are too many advantages to Keyframe's forum over trying to keep EZboard...
Though custom emoticons are very cute, I agree! I saw someone who used little fox faces as their smiley...

Ahh, I see...well, I guess you get what you (or your members) pay for.... *shrugs* I'm skeptical about new boards because so many start free, but very few stay that way. It's a near economical impossibility for them to do so -- or at least, to continue to provide a quality MB for free, particularly in these post-dot-com boom times -- and I'm sick of having to move to new boards every time the quality degrades...so I figure it's either set up my own and run it with a message board script (which would take time I'd rather spend on other things, as well as taking up space on my server) or pay for MB professionals to set up a permanent home for the board. ^_^ After running message boards on free servers for over five years, it gets really tiring trying to chase freebies down. I'm super-pleased with my Gold community! ^___^ I remember when you set this board up...heh, back when everyone was running from ItW and Beseen to ezboard for the current free board trend.... I guess there's nothing wrong with paying a small price for on-line services to get some real quality, if they're valuable to you and your members, especially if they are willing to contribute to the community pool.
Those ads are certainly obnoxious, though. I hardly see ads anywhere anymore (no ezboards show them for me anymore as an ezSupporter) and now when I do, I get VERY impatient with them. Good luck with your escape from them.
