Which Balto character are you most like?
It's Random Poll time again!
Some people are drawn to a movie because they can relate to its characters... others think of subjects like this if they have too much time on their paws and are on their way to a movie's 1000th viewing...
So here's what I'm wondering. Are any of you like the characters of Balto? I can think of a few characters that some of you are certainly NOT, but it'd be interesting to hear your viewpoints.
As for myself, there's first a lot of Wolf in me. I prefer to be the quiet, enigmatic one of groups... I must live with others but would prefer to be away from the mass of society. I'm unashamed of who I am, and pretty much have a quiet life as I please. Like Balto's wolf, I help others willingly, but sometimes speak in code to them when asked a question.
There's also a bit of Balto in me-- the shyer part who is positive that there is simply no group I could ever fit in with. It's what I believe. *LOL*
Once in awhile, a hint of Star shows up when I'm around a bunch of friends who are acting crazy. ;-) But..I'm pretty much wolf.
*shrugs* to be honest...I dont really know what character I am.
Maybe star because hes so delightfully insane, just like me, and at times I can be bullied or a bit spineless....*shrugs*
Altough I like wolves, I cant say I am like the white wolf. But I agree with you snow that you are like the white wolf, and thats a good thing....^__^

Original and inspired poll, Snow! This is going to be tricky.
I think I'm probably most like the Husky who says, "Looks like he's hurt bad, Steele." I think that from what you see of that dog he suits my character the most. I don't really think I'm worthy of associating myself with Balto, he showed more bravery and resolve than I ever could and, when feeling that he wouldn't fit in, let it get to him. I don't fit in with people in general and I don't have a problem with that so long as I have my friends, who I feel well in with. I enjoy putting into the team, playing my part, but not leading or making important decisions. If I was in the army I'd say I'd be a corporal, if I was a rugby player then I'd be a hooker or flanker, if I was part of a dog sled team then I'd be that Husky from Balto. If I had an ego like Steele's I'd said Balto, but there's no way I could match up to him, so it'd be the shorter dog in the background and, though not in the spotlight, gives his all and bears his weight with pride.

I'm not really like any one character. Definately Star around my friends and on AIM when I'm chatting with people I know. The wolves since I like to either have non-stop action or total peace and I'm very kind and caring to most people. I little bit of Balto too; not sure of where I fit in (only opposit of his problem: I'm friends with almost everyone!) and can be very brave and loyal at times, and enjoy team sports and putting all my soul and power into them.

Wow...this is a good question. I was acutally thinking of creating a quiz that based on your answers would match you up with a character (like emode.com, fun CGI scripting...heh). But anyway...
I'm a mix as well, but I think I was most drawn to Balto. You see, in Junior High, I was teased endlessly and so was Balto at the beginning of the movie. He then had to prove himself not only to the town, but for himself as well, just as I did.
However, I have the dignity and grace (not literally, I'm clumsy...actually ) of the White Wolf as well. The White Wolf was an inspiration, trying to help Balto. I have that same kind of spirit.
And then, there's that Star part of me. Crazy and hyper...you should NEVER give me pixie sticks, lol .
But who am I most like? Spitfire (points to her profile picture), Sirocco the wolfdog, or Silver the wolf, all inspired by the Balto movie .

well despite Fluke will argue all night and day that he is *just* like Balto or any of the other characters id have to say im not like any really. or at least i dont think i am. maybe some of the ppl who know me better might say otherwise...but at the most id say kaltag. kinda the guy who has his close friends. the only connection really is not so much with me...but a friend of mine. id be saying something and then have this friend butt in like star does only to be hit lol. thats the closest i can get.
changing the subject just a tad...that dog u mentioned john? the husky who says hes hurt bad etc....anyone know who does his voice? this may be silly or completely wrong but im sure its kevin bacon as well....

I don't know, AC. It's not mentioned in the credits specifically, but I'll listen out and try to discern if it does sound like Kevin Bacon next time I watch Balto. I haven't watched it for a while and now I'm probably not going to get the chance. AC, do you have to write loads of essays in university?

well with my course anyway its not so much essays (altho u do get short essay questions in exams). the nearest i can relate it to u is probably projects. u get an assignemnt brief telliung u what u have to research about and the outcomes u should get etc. stuff u should cover..eg it might say u should cover nutrition, endocrine etc...then depending on the critia produce this project over about 5 weeks. my average one is usually about 2000 words...but my last one i did was close to 7000...*my paw typing fingers...*

Gurh, 7000 words?! That's a lot in itself, but not spread over 5 weeks, you are WELL lucky not to have to do a lot of writing work for your course, AC. I've typed E-mails that were over 5,800 words before over a period of about 4 days, but then again an essay on membranes was probably less rthan that and it took me, uh, again about 4 days. But you get the picture. Anyway, I think life'll get easier when I go to university.

well actually there is alot of writing in lectures...loads of note taking. the average is about 4 sides of A4 over 2 long hours lol.
Aye Snow, thanks for your good wishes, I'll get through alright I think, just so long as I take my time and keep it moving along steadily instead of completing the assignments in erratic bursts of activity like I usually do, lol.
Augh AC, 4 sides if A4! It'd take me 2 hours just to write that much, I'm a pretty slow writer. *Nods* I need to see Balto again, it's been ages since last time. Maybe a weekday next week after school.

i'm more like...
For me, I think I am more like Balto. I have an interesting side, but am treated sort of as the outcast in the group. :-) Though my courage could never match up to his.
As for the uncredited husky who sounds like Bacon... I always thought that too! More than likely, Kevin provided the voice for the dog, since there were so many additional characters not listed in the credits.

I'd have to say that I'm mostly like Nikki. I like to point out the ironies of life and I can be pretty sarcastic. I'm also a little bit like Jenna because I can be tough and talk back to people without being mean.

When I'm around my friends, I'm like Star (sometimes my friend hits me in the head when I get carried away, also!)
But I am defenently Aleu, mabey I'm worthy of calling myself Balto, even. But I am wolf. I'm quiet, smart, kind, and respectful. I love to explore. And, 24/7 I feel like getting on all 4's and howling. I love that white wolf from Balto 1!

you know what i think i am alot like balto because i dunno its just sometimes ppl dont like me to much and everything and im sometimes afraid to be standupish if u call it that lol n e way i really dont belong to n e group of persons or n e thing and i am not the most popular amongst the ppl but i do think i am a good person and i have no doubt about being like balto.......
