Who Loves Jeff Buckley ?
5 years yesterday since the man went for a permanent wade....

FEL fans should be at least receptive to the melody and integrity this man enveloped in his brief career.

Anyone feel as pitiful as I did yesterday commemorating the passing of Jeff ?

Re: Who Loves Jeff Buckley ?
I liked his first album a lot.

His band were really @#%$ good live.

He is, however, responsible for a whole bunch of crooning wankstains who now rather yodel than sing and that really gets my goat.

And no, I didn't get all teary yesterday, though I know plenty of more sensitive folks who did.

Chin up little soldier.

yodelling is indeed the unfortunate influence most seem to extract from the Buckley talent. It could be tolerable if they realise it only works when you've got some melodic, interesting material behind it..........

As for getting teary, the problems usually start when I hit the sherbet and then I lament in overdrive.......

By the way Bow, it's nice to think someone reads the "EVERYTHING ELSE" column on the FEL Message board.

everything else
Better than reading a bunch of pretentious waffle about some half-arsed rock band.

Re: Who Loves Jeff Buckley ?
I know this conversation is long over but I would have to agree that I loved the dude but the army of whiny white guys seemed to have missed his point. But I guess the major label gurus have made a (lucrative) habit of exploiting some of the best without any real consideration for their legacy.

Before Jeff it was Eddie Vedder (I'm thinking creed, the one band who make me cry for all the wrong reasons)
