I haven't left completely, just haven't been around for a while. Every time I think to come here, something comes up and the next thing I know, another day has passed. Right now, I'm at my sisters for a few days taking care of Gloria while my sister went away for a few much needed days of relaxation. How are things with you? |

Re: Wondering... Hi Cathy, It's good to hear from you. Nothing much is happening up hear. Cold weather will be settling in soon. Do you read Mary Higgins Clark's books? I'm going to hear her soon at a local high school. I hope she's interesting. Do you still read a lot? I'm going to run the historical society's craft room for their Christmas Candlelight Tour in Dec. I used to run the whole tour, but that got to be too hectic. Now, only a few people are telling me how to do everything unstead of everyone.  |

Re: Wondering... Is ezboard going to stay around or did it just change to a whole new system? I just hate it when things change and the new system merely has a bunch of things that you don't want and that turn out to be user unfriendly. It's everywhere, including re-programming your TV remote. Did you ever try to do that without reading the instructions?

Re: Wondering... I think it changed to a new system which I didn't care for either so I got the IPB place. It took some getting use to but I'll slowly get the hange of it I hope. Soon IPS will come out with IPB 2.2. I've been busy with the new board. Most ezboards have closed up for now or moved on. |

It's a shame that others have moved on, but that's the way with cyber space. Andrea, a long time ago you had given me the name of domain host sites that were free. I passed on the name, but those people lost it. What else is new? Can you give it to me again? Thanks.

Re: Wondering... Well, the place I can think of that I had is no longer free. I got a low cost plan there and my site is on a host that costs only $10 per month. Even e-cards aren't free anymore. That is a shame but that is the way things go. I can think of at least one message board place which is free just in case that helps any. Let me do a quick search for you. Well, I did not come up with much usefull info. However, I recommend that you and/or your friends do a web search and see what meets your needs. If you need I will give you links to the two places I use and you can browse their sites. You asked what was new. Well on the library front there are lots of old uncataloged books which I am cataloging now. Our library is getting a new online catalog in the Spring and it will be alot different from the present one. Lots of staff training to be done then, too. On personal news I downloaded the new MS. IE7 last weekend. It is neat and I love their new look. It takes a little getting use to, though. |

Re: Wondering... Thanks for the info. It's for my historical society, but I wouldn't trust them to pay monthly or even yearly. They'd forget or let it lapse. I'm perfectly happy with the free one at Netscape. Their complaint... the address is too long! Picky, picky, picky! My main library went online a couple of years ago. I like it but the Seniors sure don't. It also went through a year of renovations and is so much nicer. Do you still have my email address? If you email me I'll give you the websites of the 2 libraries. I lost yours when I got a new computer in Sept. That brought me up to MS IE6. |

Re: Wondering... No I do not have it. In fact I'm not sure I did but I think you may have written me once. The historical society is correct about a short URL. It is much better to have a short one like I do for my website so that it is easy for folks to remember. My board has a long one. I should have got a domain so I could have had a short address. You can email me at librarylady@usa.net for I would love to see those links. I can give you the one for the library were I work, too. Congratulations on the new puter. What brand is it? I now have IE7. It just came out and is available at the MS Windows upgrade site for free. It even keeps all your Favorites that way! I loved that! |
