Xavier's Office - We all need Answers
The door was opened, as if waiting for his arrival, Spike's eyes scanned the figure behind the desk, an old man, old, yet Spike could smell the power flowing all around him.
The fear of everything that was happening around him seemed confuse him more then anything else, but soon he almost forgot everything, his eyes passing over the window that was behind the professor.
Slowly, and in total awe, the ancient vampire made his way towards the window, making sure to stay out of the direct sunlight. He looked out across the grounds, the warm rays bathing the flowers, the students soaking up the sun before they rushed off to attend their classes.
It had been so many years...
Surely this was a dream, how could the sun be shinning so proudly in the sky? It was blacked out...he looked over towards the flower gardens more curiously, without the sun, flowers had grown rare, and any that remained adapted to the darkness and grew cold and ugly compared to it's more glamerous forms.
Xavier knew his X-Men should be arriving soon, the Professor decided to hold off questions until his team got here, after all, they might not get the vampire to repeat anything he says, and he wanted his team to hear anything he had to say.
He watched the vampire intently as it stared across the grounds, standing by the window as if he had nothing to fear. But Spike did have something to fear, something terrible, something that was far worse then any vampire, a demon so cruel and evil that everyone seemed blind by his charms, Spike's ability to blend in with humans is his ability to take human form, but this beast....he was able to gain the human's trust...

With something sounding a little like *plop*, Rogue and Talia appeared out of nowhere. "Go to the opposite corner than that vamp is. Don't be afraid, we'll handle this" she whispered to the blue-furred mutant hoping she wouldn't panic.
Waving away the brimstone smoke, Rogue looked around quickly and jumped just behind Spike to catch him if he intented to do something stupid but still leaving him enough room to not feel in direct danger.
*This guy sure has some major probs* she thought waiting for the Professor to speak.
A distant sound as of a storm coming up, Ororo announced her arrival and seconds later, she landed in front of Xavier's desk.
"I am truly sorry, Charles, a student entered the Medical Bay and our guest began to panic" she explained and added seriously in a lower voice:
"I recommend you to keep an eye on... Judas was his name if I remember right. This man" Ororo pointed at Spike "seems insane but this kind of reaction mustn't be blamed only on that fact."
Gathering her power in case it was needed, Storm stepped aside so the others which she had flown past could enter...

Nalani marched into Xavier's Office. It was the first time she had ever disobeyed anyone really but she felt as if she just had to do it. Besides she was reading between the lines more than truly disobeying. Although her team had told her to take the remaining members to the dorms Nalani had taken them there and left another girl in charge. She was determined to find out what was going on and for that reason had come here.
"Professor..and Storm, Rogue, Nocturne," Nalani added after noticing the others in the room. "I've done what was asked of me and I demand to know what is going on. I want to know why I was forced to deal with a few very scared students and wasn't able to give them an explanation for what was happening," Nalani said, her tone under control but raised above her normal voice.
She tossed her Raven hair and her bright eyes had a storm brewing within them. She meant business and for once she wasn't going to back away and simply do what everyone asked of her.

Rogue flashed a smile at Nalani but a certain sternness sounded in her voice as she answered.
"If ya receive commands from those in charge, you aren't to ask but obey"
Storm raised an eyebrow at hearing those words from Rogue but remained silent.
"Now thatcha did..."
she partly addressed Loni as well although the girl had asked Xavier
"in a nutshell: three vampires showed up, threw some students through a vortex of some sort and disappeared again... but left one behind"
Rogue pointed at the blond vampire
"him, Spike's his name by the way...
besides, I'm glad you're alright, Upgrade. Obviously you did well" she added to take a little bit of her words' harshness.

Nalani looked slightly guilty but something had caught her attention as Rogue told her about the vampires. A vortex that people had been sucked through? She hoped it was no one of importance.
"Rogue um..I don't know how to ask but uhh who was sucked through the vortex?" Nalani asked, trying to keep her face from showing her fear and emotional reaction to the news.
Beside her Loni gasped as she saw Spike, the vampire that that girl in her dream had said was coming. The dream was prophetic. She had somehow known it all along but to have this confirmed was like a knife to the throat.
"I had a dream," she said, addressing the Professor. "I..I've never seen anything like it before. A little girl told me I had to wake up and that there was trouble with a vampire named Spike and his friends. It sounds crazy I know but I think my power's been growing again, the dream was under control and the little girl seemed somehow familiar. Professor I don't know what to do," Loni finished, looking very scared.
Nalani felt for the older girl but at the moment her thoughts were on the victims and she couldn't breath as she waited to hear who had been taken.

As Rogue approched Spike, Xavier raised his hand a little, requesting she give him space, this action didn't go unnoticed by Spike, who soon turned around as two younger girls entered the room.
His eyes hovered over the girl who began talking about her dream, ignoring the very presence of the woman who keeps hurting him, pretending she wasn't real in the hopes that she might disappear..
Spike:"...Doesn't sound crazy to me."
He said calmly to the girl as he rubbed his arms, looking as if he was cold.
Spike:"I'm here aren't I? Don't wonna be, you're all mean, hurt me you do.."
His eyes gazed over towards Rogue as he continued speaking, but he looked away still hoping she'd disappear.
Spike:"Don't wonna be here.."
Xavier:"However, you are here, and we'd like to know why."
The vampire looked over at the Professor, it's odd, they where asking him the same question he had been asking himself since he was tied down to the bed..
He rubbed his wrists, the marks left from his struggle against the tight restraints where already fading away, but he hated being held captive, and ever since he was tossed here it seems that's all that's been happening to him.
Spike:"I can feel you...moving around inside my head, searching for answers, wont find any, wont see anything...all blank...nothing there...no past, no present, no future. I'm dead remember, no soul, can't read my soul, they stole my spark, stole the spark that made me who I was.."
His gaze returned to Loni, he hated prophets, always aware of what was to come yet never able to help when they where needed...that was his experience with Dru anyway. And why was he in her dream? What right did she have to dream of him in this alien world, this bright, sunny, warm world filled with mortals unfased by the demonic termoils that have scavanged Lost Angels and scarred his world so terribly..
Placing a hand over his stomach in a futile effort to dull the pains that seemed to be screaming for him to feed, he looked away from the people, not allowing himself to see them as meals or snacks. It seemed easier when he promised Jennifer he'd stop feeding off humans, but Willow refused to allow him to lower himself to survive off animal blood..
And when he tried going behind their backs, the withdraw he suffered from changing over to pigs blood was most noticable to those around him and instantly ordered back to his old diet..
His jaw was clentched tightly shut, he knew they where all human, couldn't hurt them even if he wanted to, but did they know that? Did he want them to know that? That hulk strengthed lady was hurting him enough without knowing he wasn't able to harm her.
Spike:"Was walking...didn't know what they where up to, wanted to meet the Slayer, didn't want to fight her....but then it opened, a watery hole, pretty...in a spooky sorta way."
He looked out the window in an attempt to keep his mind distracted, tell them what they want to know, and then they should let him go...right?
Spike:"...Dru shot her, wasn't even looking, just talking, then she was shot, fell to the ground, don't remember much...Angelus said he found a new playground, yelled at my Willow, told her to leave, don't like him yellin at her."
His tone turned grumpy when he mentioned Angelus mistreating Willow.
Spike:"Didn't want to come, tried to tell him off for hurting the slayer, not a fair fight if she doesn't see it coming...laughed at me he did, laughed and grabbed me..don't like him grabbing me...they wanted to make sure the portal was safe."
He seemed very unhappy with them using him like that.
Spike:"But can't say no to him, never can say no, he loves pain, loves hurting, don't want him to hurt me...didn't like how he hurt me the last time.."
His body seemed to unwillingly give a slight shiver as he remembered the suffering he was put threw for his past disobediences, but he wouldn't allow this Rogue to think him weak, wont give her the pleasure of seeing his pain.

Rogue gave Storm an asking look pointing unobtrusively at the vampyre.
Without a word, they changed places so the streaked mutant could answer Nalani's question without having to interrupt the interrogation.
However, she kept on listening to what he was saying.
"Dunno who else was sucked in but two are for sure: Dawn and Clay. We couldn't help them, that female vamp kinda paralyzed me as I wanted to
beat'em up"
She glanced at Spike. "I hope blondie'll give us some useful infos... we'll find them anyway though... somehow"
As the demon stopped talking, Ororo asked softly:
"So those other two are no friends of yours? They forced you to obey them?"
Persuasive, nearly with a mother's subtext, she went on:
"Do you not wish to free yourself from those two who used you like their toy?
We can help you... however, we need you to tell us everything you know about the place you came from and about... Angelus and Dru.
The man loves to hurt... what about the woman?
How can we find those other vampyres to punish them for what they did to you... and where are our people most likely to re-appear?"

Spike eyed the white haired mutant, so pleasent, so trustworthy, he knew she was dangerous, shouldn't mess with her, no one was ever nice with out a reason.
Spike:"Not friends luv, they're family, my sires, gotta do what they say, can't let them hurt me, stronger then me they are, all older, always picking on the little one.."
As soon as she asked if he wanted to be free, everything else in his mind seemed to melt away, his sole focus only on Storm as if all others had vanished from his sight, he shook his head slowly.
Spike:"Tried you know...went all the way over to the 'enemies', waved my little white flag, not ment to hurt people waving white flags, but he did, didn't want me there he said...stupid watcher."
He growled the last two words, if Jennifer had been there then all this might be different, he might still be home and Angelus and Dru might have never been able to hurt him again.
Spike:"Most vampires kill because it is their nature, but he likes it, he kills and he has a song in his heart he says, always smilin, always hurtin an torturin."
Yet again his eyes shift away from the people in the room and focus on the window, peering outside into the world of light.
Spike:"Dru...my pet likes watchin him, gave her a puppy last year, named it Sunshine, but not as good as Angelus, he gave her a bloodin' heart, still warm and tender from the lil'shoppin girl..."
With his eyes looking back over towards Rogue and the other girls before once again focusing on the wind rider, his voice lowered as he continued.
Spike:"It's always dark...eternal night, shoulda known he couldn't be trusted, but she said it would be alright...took away the sunlight, took away the warmth...humans aren't allowed to speak against him, not allowed to raise their voices or hurt us...the slave pens where his ideas, I don't like them.."
He shifted about uncomfortably as he spoke.
Spike:"Don't like cages..."
He whispered as if revealing some kind of secret he didn't want anyone else to be aware of.
Spike:"The Slayer was in the graveyard, students landed in the graveyard, safe to say she took them in, always blamin herself for freeing Angelus, losin his soul, but wasn't her fualt, she delt with him, we brought him back, didn't want to, but she said he could free me.."
His fists tapped against his forehead for a moment but he stopped and folded his arms tightly,
Spike:"Turned me into a monster again, hurt Willow, didn't want to hurt her, but I did, didn't want to, glade he lost control over me, can't hurt anyone, only demons, can't hurt the humans, don't want to either, wont hurt them, can't make me hurt them.."
He repeated to himself before answering one last question,
Spike:"..I always know where they are...can't hide from me...can't hide from them, always there, always on radar, can't ever hide...can't ever escape..."

Nalani froze and she felt as if her body had literally been turned to ice. She didn't know Dawn so well but the other person mentionned. How could it possibly be him? He had been there with her just a moment before. They had to be mistaken.
As the conversation around her went on though Nalani became aware that it was and that they hadn't been mistaken. Her hopes were crushed and her body turned from ice to just purely numb of any emotion.
Of the insane vampire's words though something caught her attention and she turned to him, desperate for a straight answer.
"You said someone had found them, a-a slayer whatever that is. This slayer, she took the students with her right? So the ones from our world are safe with her there?" Nalani demanded in a tone she had never used before.
She hardly dared hope that he was alive and that he could be safe but she had to or the world would come crashing down around her.
Spinning around, Nalani turned quickly to the Professor, Storm and Rogue. "We're going in right? I mean after it's discovered how to get to this other world and everything? Someone's going in after them?"
Loni cut in, "I felt something Nalani, I'm sure they're alright for the moment, somehow I know. If it's alright Professor I'd like to try and bring on a prophetic dream. I know it's risky and that last time I kinda ended up unconsciouss but I need to give it a try. If it will help the students who are stuck there then I think I owe them that much. That little girl in the dream was holding back, that much I know. If I can just talk to her for awhile I know I can get more information. Please Professor let me do this," Loni finished, begging him for the chance to help her students.

Storm nodded in an sympathetic way.
"So there is no possibility for you to get away... maybe we can make them go away forever. So finally you might be free from them forever. You only need to tell us what we want to know.
The two jumped out of the window although it was bright day. Are Dru and Angelus able to survive that? Can you still sense them somewhere?"
She hoped the others were listening carefully...
As Nalani demanded to know about the students' state, she whispered to Spike.
"Look, that girl is terrified. Of course positive news would help her but in the end, if it was a lie, it would hurt her even more. What do you think happened to our friends?"
Rogue looked doubfully from Nalani to the Professor and back. Quietly she answered as the first.
"The problem is we can't open a gate of some sort... Forge can but I neither know where he is nor whether he can make *that* kind of
vortex.."
There was a light knocking on the door and Bobby appeared in the entrance, his face slightly alight with rushing to the professors office. He quickly entered, noticing that the room was full with people and opposite them was the Vampire that had appeared in their world.
He slowly walked over to Rouge and the Professor nodding at the others as he passed them;
"I am sorry I am late Professor, something came up." As Bobby spoke the distinct chill of his breath could be seen in the air and his cooling influence felt throughout the room. He nodded to the professor and turned to Rogue, eyes full of concern;
"Sorry Rogue, have I missed much, do we know how to find our people yet?"
Bobby turned and looked at Spike again, he looked perfectly normal, like him or any of the student in the room, but they knew his secret, the horrible truth that had plagued his existance for hundreds of years. Bobby's cold blue eyes fixed on the Vampire, he wanted to hurt the bleach-blond man, like he had hurt Bobby and the rest of his team. Bobby's piercing eyes were fixed, he held back the anger he felt building inside him, he had to, for the sake of Dawn and the others.....

The white-streaked mutant shook her head. "Nothin' *really* useful yet" she whispered and even lower, Rogue added:
"Would be better if ya didn't look like that at him... he might stop co-operating when he feels endangered."
Quickly, she got Iceman up to date and listened to the interrogation hoping something more useful would finally be said.

His eyes peered down at his folded arms, he watched his chest stay motionless, no sign of life, no breath, no heart beating, but his mind was pulled away and almost forced to focus on the girl who was speaking to him.
He could hear her, the way she spoke, the tone, the fear, he could hear everything, she was afraid, she's lost something, something she can't live without..
Spike:"...A slayer is a girl, blessed with a curse, when one dies the gift is passed on to another. These girls are called Vampire Slayers, but they slay not only us, they slay Demons, help the innocent, all that hero stuff.
If your kids are with her, then it's her job to protect them, and she does a bloody decent job most of the time."
Storms words seemed distant, yet at the same time they seered into the back of his mind, echoing every time he tried to look away from Nalani. What did the white haired mutant mean...be free of them? Could that be possible, after all this time, all the pain he's been threw, could she really mean there was a chance he'd be finally free..
Spike:"They're alive...Dru isn't harmed by the sunlight as long as she transformed, Angelus, can't be killed by the sunlight, turns to ash, can still move about, wont form a solid body until the sun goes down."
Looking outside the window, yet keeping his back pressed again the wall as he continued to avoid the direct rays of sunlight.
Spike:"They keep running, they're going somewhere, don't know where, further away....not coming back for little William."
His eyes glared towards Iceman who still continued to stare at him in a most unpleasent manner, he and the white fringed lady where whispering. Always the pretty ladies that hurt him most, if they where pretty, they where deadly, that's all he knew, and right now, he's surrounded by pretty girls and beatiful ladies...he was in serious trouble.
He examined the faces of all those in the room, his eyes hovering more over Rogue then the others since she seemed the most powerful in his mind. He could smell the anger that flowed from Bobby's body, the vampire tilted his head slightly to the side as he took a slow step towards the man with icy powers.
Spike:"You want to hurt me.."
He whispered as he grew even closer, stopping just infront of him. It seemed as if the vampire was dearing the Silver Strike Force leader to hit him, to lash out and vent all his rage on the harmless vampire.
Spike:"...I'm not afraid of you."
He whispered, a hint of anger in his tone.
Spike:"He's had over a thousand years to..."
His voice quivered, trailing off as he was unable to finish the sentence.
Spike:"...Nothing any of you do could be worse then..."
He looked as if he wanted to start yelling, but he looked over at Loni and Nalani, as if hesitating simply because of the presence of the younger girls.
He tore his eyes from the girls and focused on Bobby once again
Spike:"If you're not going to kill me, I need blood, if you are, then get it over with, haven't got all bloody-"
He paused, something more important catching his attention, he looked over towards the wall of Xavier's office, staring at it as if he could see something all others weren't able to. He looking back over towards the window, the same look on his face.
The vampire shifted about uncomfortably, looking over at Rogue as he grew frightend, but he did his best to hide his fears. He could sense Angelus and Dru off in one direction...but he could sense Angelus and himself off in another, he looked down at his hands, he couldn't be with Angelus...because he was here, and Angelus was out there..
If there where two Angelus, then this world was far more dangerous then even Lost Angels, he had to get back home, the death of Angelus would only be a bonus..
Spike:"Only Dru can re-open the doorway back to Lost Angels, unless you have other dimensional travelers or spell casters that have been there before, otherwise it'll take months to find the right reality."
He took a step away from Bobby as he spoke.
Spike:"I've seen that portal before, known as a Switch, to keep the worlds balanced, when someone enters the doorway into another world.."
He frowned, unable to explaine it properly, but he started again using an example.
Spike:"Alright, say 4 people from here go over to L.A., then 4 people in L.A. will unwillingly be brought over here. But...it switches souls, the bodies go along for the ride, only.."
It took a few moments for him to be able to finish the sentence.
Spike:"..none of us have souls, which means...4 others from Lost Angels will come to replace the students that where.."
He hesitated, instantly stopping what he was about to say as he looked over at Iceman. Glancing over at Storm he shook his head slowly.

Storm's eyes widened as she heard Spike's words.
"So we do not only have to return our students for their own sake but for those of that other dimension... Lost Angels you called it?... as well"
"And as if that wasn't enough, we gotta keep those two vamps out there from committing some massacre. Fortunately I had some good breakfast!" Rogue stated.
Ororo turned to the Professor.
"Charles, do you know any other way to travel to an alien dimension without having been there before? Maybe the Shi'Ar...?"

He said thoughtfully, but then sighed, shaking his head in puzzlement.
Xavier:"Alright, Bobby, Rogue, if you two could perhaps escort him back down to the Med Lab, make sure to find something for him to eat, we don't want him dinning on any of our students."
He looked over at Loni, a concerned look plainly seen on his face.
Xavier:"I don't want you to do anything you think might be dangerous, but if you can handle it, then anything you can do will be of great help to us."
He looked over at Nocturne, but didn't say anything, leaning back in his wheel chair.
Xavier:"I think we've had enough for now, if any of you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask, otherwise take care and be ready for a meeting in the war room later."
The meeting was more directed towards the elder X-Men.

"Alrightie!" Rogue looked rather cheerful considering the circumstances but again this was just her way of coping with the situation.
"Well then, c'mon sugah. All the way back but if ya behave, I'll be a little nicer" she said and pulled Spike's arms on the back again. Keeping her promise, the southern belle did it much more careful this time so it didn't hurt.
Rogue threw an asking look at Bobby: "You go first?"

Loni nodded. "Don't worry Professor, I think I can handle it and I'll be responsible. Maybe I can get someone to help, be an anchor. Nalani if you don't have anything else to do would you mind helping me?" the dream powered mutant asked the other girl.
"Well it's not like I have anything else to do. I'd like to find Tess though, see how she's doing after.."Nalani said, unable to complete the thought.
"Of course," Loni said quickly and the pair headed off.

end of meeting?
Ororo raised an eyebrow at Spike's words.
"Co-operation, not compliments, will help you"
Rogue grinned her boyish grin. "Oh Stormy, be a little nicer to that poor guy. After all, he's got taste!"
The weather powered mutant rolled her eyes in an amused sort of way and looked at the Professor in case he had a task for her or wanted to discuss
anything.
Before she left Xavier's office, the streaked southern belle turned to Nocturne.
"If the Professor or Iceman haven't anything for you to do, hon, I'd say you can call it a day till tomorrow's inital training"
Rogue glanced first at the one, then at the other making clear she wanted Talia to finally have her freetime.
With that, she headed slowly off to the MedLab so Bobby could catch up easily; on her feet this time as without a tight grip around Spike,
flying wasn't safe.

Xavier gave a slight nod of his head as they began to leave.
Xavier:"Oh, Bobby, all of you, try and keep this amongst the people involved, last thing we want s a panic starting up, the less who know about it now the better, only those on teams are to be informed of what's going on, Frost, if you would be kind enough to relay that to the others in the Med Bay."
The female ice powered mutant gave a nod and left the office with only a passing glance at her uncle, Nocturne watched as Rogue disappeared and slowly made her way for the door.
Xavier:"Remember, only those on the Teams are to know."
Frost and Nocturne both left the room before Bobby, Frost made her way down to the Med Lab, where as Nocturne just went off to see what was happening else-where.
