The Old World
Geography
The Old World is much larger than Europe, and much is still unspoiled wilderness devoid of Human settlements. Climate ranges from cool temperatures on the northern coasts, through continental over the vast majority on the inlands, to warm temperatures on the southern and western coasts.
Forests are scattered across the Old World with the largest being Loren forest. Forests are largely tangled, dark and gloomy place making excellent haunts for bandits, chaos serving humanoids and other fearsome creatures.

Kislev
The realm of Kislev
Kislev boasts some of the oldest settlements in the north. The area was first inhabited over 1,000 years ago by nomadic people called the Gospodars. By the time The Empire had stopped its internal squabblings the Gospadars had established their realm. Now known as the Kislevites, they are often in conflict with the choas hordes from the northern wastelands.

Bretonnia
The kingdom of Bretonnia
Bretonnia is a vast land, upon which the mark of chaos is less visable. Gilles le Breton laid the foundations of the kingdom 1,500 years ago. Due to The Empire to the east and the Estalian Kingdoms to the south there is little chance of its frontiers expanding.

The Border Princes
The Princedoms
The Border Princes does not form a single nation, but a loose confederacy of various petty Princedoms. The rest of the world see the Border Princes as lawless area, cut off from civilisation by the mountain ranges to the north and west. The Border Princes are always waging war against the chaotic hordes from the Badlands.

The Elven Kingdoms
Loren Forest
Wood Elves very rarely live in cities or villages, as they prefer the confines of the woodlands. Loren is by far the largest wood elf settlement in the Old World, and is situated at the south of Bretonnia. The settlement itself has a population of approximately 1,000 elves. Humans rarely go there as the elves keep visitors away either by force or by clever illusionist magic.
By contrast Sea Elves have several communities within major Human ports. The largest being in the city of Marienburg.

The Dwarven Kingdoms
Caraz-a-Carak
Dwarven communities have dwindled over the years and have integrated in to Human cities and societies making up 10% of the population. The largest remaining Dwarven settlement is found in the World Edge Mountains. Dwarves refer to the city as Caraz-a-Carak or more commonly known as “Everpeak”. The Dwarven community based here are constantly in conflict with the Goblin hordes from the Dark Lands beyond the World Edge Mountains.
