episode 4: About Friday Night...
...cause we didn't want to go with the obvious title. That was a pun, but...read to find out why. Then come back here and tell us what you thought. Gotta love parties and alcohol...well, on TV anyway...making your favorite characters act like...not themselves. Sorry it's taken like a month between episodes. Winter break and travelling seem to always kill us when it comes to getting eps out in a timely manner. Expect the next one a little quicker . Also, it was Harmony's birthday on Saturday (the 19th) and I know I, for one, did a bad job in the online birthday salutations department so...anyone want to help me make up for it? Anyway, Happy 22nd birthday Harmony...dang, you're old. Okay, now everyone can go read. Enjoy...

I thought Jake and Ham were great...and I LOVED what she said to Dex when he told her he liked Jacqueline (who really is Jake...yes...WE ALL KNOW THAT) because I think what she said was really great. Oh...and I definitely think that Jake should do the Superman bit more often---it's something I get to laugh at.
Finn and Johanna and a baby!!! Oh wow! Wow! Wow! That's SO awesome! Wow! Have I said that enough? Wow! That's SO cool! Although I wish that Mark had given Meagan a kiss...how cute would that be? BTW...what actress plays Meagan? She's hard to picture...
And I am SICK and tired of Scout and Jill. I mean...either they get back together...or get over each other...I can't stand them in this limbo...where they are still in love...but not together...we had to go through that with Jake and Ham in the first 3 or 4 eps of YA...and then when they broke up after Ham found out about Kate and Finn...and it sucks that Jill and Scout have to go through with it too...
Ahh...but Will and Gwen!!! Will and Gwen!!! How sweet!!! I hope this means they are together...they are so good together!!!

Just to say that was so good... I'm not going to make my lecture now because I have stayed up til 5.30 to read this...
The only thing is I feel a bit sorry for Bella... its kinda like she is a bit player now... Jill kinda steals her thunder... which is cool cos I like Jill, but Bella is Bella.
Thanks again for the brilliant episodes. They are truely amazing.

i loved the episode...it was sooo good
i loved finn and johanna...i knew that was gonna happen. ham and jake were cute too..can't wait to hear ham's response on dexter being "attracted" to jake..
okk jill...she was soo funny i could totally imagine her being drunk i kept laughing when her part came..gwen was funny too but not as much. sean and bella were very sweet to gwen and jill.
thank god will took a step forward...

another fabulous episode!!! i really enjoyed it, you two have done a great job yet again!!
the thing i like about new beginnings and particularly this episode is that you can make the characters go out and get drunk, where as on tv jill and gwen would ahve probably got caught out by a teacher and been expelled or something you know, they always do that on tv, try and teach a lesson to the kids, drinking is wrong etc etc, so yeah i like that you have the ability to write a good story and not get caught up in the politics of impressions on young minds!!!!! so i loved it and hey it is ok that there was a bit of a gap between episodes cause i'm sure you have a life and don't spend all your time working on the episodes, i think people on these message boards should remember that!! we are privledged to even have these episodes at all. keep it up

First, thanks for the great feedback. I did want to make a comment on this, though. I think there was a few "you see, Timmy" moments. It's just that the "lessons" were more internal. I think both Gwen and Jill realized they were running from something and using alcohol so they could hide. They learned that things needed to be confronted in a different way. I think. But, my views on drinking...well, I won't go there actually, but you're right. We didn't have to say drinking was wrong and prove it. I don't think that means lessons of some kind weren't learned

I would have LOVED more Jahammer scenes, of course, and, oh, when's Ham getting some? (and Jake, for that matter).
I did love Ham talking to his mom, though, that was cool.

Awsome eppy.
I loved this eppy. Dex is still completely clueless, but it's funny. What I like about it is that is isn't the same as in the summer season when the guys thought they were gay, but instead thinks they're twins, without realizing that they are the same person. Love jake's reaction to "I like your sister," but it was comming. Liked the Bella and Jill scenes, but can the Scout/Jill/Bella thing be resolved one way or the other? Loved the kiss that Will and Gwen shared at the end, there's a conclusion to a limbo story--one that I like. All the episodes rock. Keep on writing.

Hehehe...I just realized that Meagan is played by Mae Whitman and Mark is played by Alex D. Linz...how cute is that? Estee and Harm...did you guys ever watch One Fine Day? Cuz that's where I remember those two from...my sister and I used to be obsessed with that movie...it's a great movie...well, I think Alex and Mae have GREAT chemistry together. And you know...for the longest time I couldn't remember who was playing Meagan...and so I just pretended that is was Mae Whitman...wow, I must be telepathic or something...

Wonderful as Always
I love party episodes, they're always good for some tension, and for some funny drunk people.
I liked Jill cutting Gwen's hair, that was hilarious!
I'm glad Will finally fessed up about his feelings for Gwen.
I really liked seeing Will and Hamilton have some screentime to themselves. Ham doesn't get to interact one-on-one with the guys very much (heehee, which is kind of funny since at one point that what's everyone thought he was doing).
The Jake/Jacqueline - Superman/Clark Kent transformation was funny too, I could see her running around for a whole episode like that... (hmm, kind of like WIE...)
The Scout/Jill meeting at the very end was sweet, let's hope that gets them somewhere.
It was nice to see all the minor characters make an appearance also. You gotta love any mention of Ryder, even if it is only a phone call.
Great job. Again.

Hey Estee and Harm, sorry I didn't post this sooner, but I really enjoyed this episode... I liked all the juxtapsitions and the interaction between Dexter and "Jake's sister Jacqueline"... hilarious! Plus, it's nice to read the girly side of Jake too. I would say that I can't wait until the next ep, bt I've already read it, so I'll go post about it now!

I wanted to say that I am really enjoying this fanfic. I am on the friday night episode now and it rocks. I want scout and Jill to get back together, I love the Jake and Hamilton stuff and Gwen and Will are interesting as well. Jill's drunk scene was amusing, I could really picture her drunk it was great
I can't wait to actually catch up to ep 13. Awesome stuff!
