The door was locked, so Thorn hit the knob and it flew open. She flicked the lights on, and smirked at all of the scaley things in the room.

"They are extremely fast for creatures with short legs like that. Have wonderful reflexes, and lunge at their prey before the poor creature knows what's happening," she said with a smile. Thorn had a passion for animals like that.

"Well, we're in California, there are a lot of places to go. The beach is absolutely gorgeous at night, and there are loads of clubs and things... We just kinda walk around until we find something to do."

"Losers," Thorn replied, shaking her head. "The vampire clubs around here are real underground vampire clubs. They're awesome, and there seems to be one for every scene. Goth, Industrial, Gay, whatever... And John drags me to a Grunge club every Saturday night."

Thorn laughed and smiled at him. "No worries, we won't drag you into a gay club. John doesn't even like them that much anyway. Too many drag queens. I like Industrial Clubs, myself."
Thorn grinned and started to lead the way out of the reptile house, thinking about maybe taking him to see the birds before they went somewhere else in town. "I can't blame them for hitting on you, though. You are rather lovely, dear," she said with a wink. And you've got the sexiest accent I've ever heard, she thought to herself.
