Telemnar
Name: Telemnar
Race: Elf (Noldor)
Age: 230
Gender: Male
Social Status: 57
Deity: Ulmo
Occupation: Warrior
Origin: Born in Nevrast
Home: He lives in a small house in Ladros near the camps of Aegnor and Angrod. His house is quite small, with only 2 rooms. His bedroom is the smaller room. It has a bed of stacked hay with blanket coverings. On his wall is a mantle where he keeps his sword and shield. He has a small counter beside the bed where he keeps his sling, pouch, flute and also his clothes. Hes got a hook that he hangs his cloak on and in the corner he has a small desk with his armor in it. His second room is the kitchen. He has a fire place(with 2 stones on which a small grill can be placed), a counter with a few small utensils. He has a nice chair in one corner of the room and he has a bear skin rug on the floor. The house and everything in it is made of wood, built for Telemnar by the men of the town.
Allegiance: Serves Aegnor in Dorthonion(Ladros)
Starting Location: Dorthonion(Ladros)

Physical Appearance: Telemnar is a tall elf with dark hair, but bright blue eyes. His face shows sorrow, but also determination. He is well built and very agile. In battle he wears mostly leather armor, as the elves like to move swiftly and lightly in battle. As he lives in a place of danger which is constantly under attack by orcs, he dresses in a cloak that is a blueish green colour which nicely camoflauges with the forests and highlands of Dorthonion.

Personality: Telemnar is a nice and calm elf, but will almost always speak his mind. He is learned in the art of music (as most elves are) and he loves to play his reed flute. Telemnar loves to tell the tales of the eldar to the men of Beor. He has a great interest in Edain and comes often among them, telling tales and singing songs(as well as playing them on his flute) of the deeds of the Eldar and of the Valar. He however has never seen Valinor and has a great longing to see it and the ocean. Telemnar is a well educated elf and is skilled in swordsmanship. Give him a bow however and he's useless, but his sling is just as deadly as any arrow. As deadly as he is in battle, he does not like death and he mourns often for his friends lost defending Doriath. He is well respected among the Edain of Beor and of the Elves of Dorthonion, because many raiding orcs he has destroyed and he has saved many families. He would willingly sacrifice himself for a companion, however he is very loyal(especially to Aegnor) and will do what a friend asks.

History: Telemnar was born in Nevrast and raised by his mother and father in a small house by the sea. He had a great education. His mother was of the People of Turgon, but his father was of the People of Aegnor. For a large portion of his childhood, his father and mother lived together. But when he was 23 (still a youth in the reckoning of elves) his father went away to serve in the army of Aegnor in the wars of the north. Telemnar was torn in grief, for he was not yet old enough to fight. Determined to fight alongside his father, he increased his efforts in training, especiallly with a sword. Living by the beach, he used a sling because it was easier to get ammunition(pebbles) instead of going inland to get wood for fletching arrows.

There came a time when Turgon sent Nennuil (Telemnars mother) to Gondolin. Telemnar went with the Gaurd that was protecting the company of laborors. Although it was a time of peace, a small company of orcs had slipped pass the watches of the Noldor and made it into the pass of Sirion. Luckily, the gaurd spotted the orcs before it was too late. Quickly slipping the women and laborors into the secret cave, the gaurd prepared themselves for battle. The orcs found themselves bombarded with arrows and stones and they quickly scattered. Swiftly the warriors of the gaurd surrounded and finished the orcs off, suffering no casulties and only a few injuries. Inspired by this small skirmish, Telemnar decided it was time he went to his father. Because he knew the way into the Tumladen, he swore an oath to Turgon that he would never tell of his mothers people and of Turgon. With his past sealed, he headed for Dorthonion.

Now Telemnar came at the time of the Dagor Aglareb. And it was even now as he passed through the Fens of Serech that he saw a great smoke coming from Dorthonion. He quickly saw the black masses of orcs at the foot hills of Dorthonion. He could hear the clangin of steel against steel and the shouts of both elf and orc. He then ran for he feared that great evil was happening and that Dorthonion would be destroyed and his father should perish. As he got closer, he could see the sky was thick with arrows and clouds of smoke poured forth from the north. He could feel the earth shake and he thought that all would be lost.... then behold! behind him he heard a great noise of thundering hooves and the sweet music of the horns of Fingolfin. A great host had ridden forth from Eithel Sirion under the blue banners of Fingolfin. He was soon over taken and given a horse by his kin of the north. Before he knew it they were driving deep into the orc hosts. Greatly surprised, the orcs now tried to focus on surrounding the host of Fingolfin, but the riders were too swift. Even so, with all the might of Hithlum and Dorthonion, the orcs still heavily outnumbered the elven hosts. As the battle slowly started looking dim again, more horns were blown, but this time from the east. Maedhros had brought great strength of the Himring with him and their banners blew in the wind. The orcs were yet again flanked and now almost surrounded. Then Fingon son of Fingolfin led a portion of the Hithlum host around and the orcs were encircled.

Telemnar had rode hard through the orcs until he had come to the hosts of Angrod and Aegnor. However his horse was shot as he rode towards Aegnor and Angrod and he fell. Luckily he sustained nothing but a bruise from the fall. He now fought bravely alone, until a group of elven swordsmen found their way to him. Before he knew it the battle was over and the orcs were all destroyed. The horse archers of Fingon had pursued them even to the Gates of Angbad where the last of the orcs were slain. A few days later, when much of the battle had been cleared, he learned that his father was no where to be found, not even his body. Completely in rage, Telemnar made ready to set off to Angbad on a wild mission to find his father, but Aegnor got word and pursuaded him to stay in Dorthonion. Telemnar swore allegiance to his house, and would help Aegnor and Angrod in any way possible. Soon after, the Atani appeared in Beleriand and their three houses were named the Edain. When the House of Beor made their way to Ladros in Dorthonion, Telemnar found a great interest in the lesser creatures. He comes often among them, playing music on his flute, singing songs and telling tales of the deeds of the Eldar and of the Valar. He loves to teach them anything he can about the elven ways and he has made many friends amongst the Edain.

Telemnar loves not the people of Feanor, for he blames them for all the death in Middle Earth and he believes that the elves were better left in Valinor. He gives his friendship more readily to the peoples of Fingolfin and the other sons of Finarfin.

Inventory: A long sword(one handed), a Noldorin dagger(his father gave it to him), his sling and stone pouch, a travellers cloak(blueish green), he also has a shield with the emblem of Angrod and Aegnor, Clothes.

Now the world runs swiftly to great tidings and one of men, even of Bëor's house, shall indeed come, and the Girdle of Melian shall not restrain him, for doom greater than my power shall send him and the songs of that coming shall endure when all Middle-earth is changed.
