Back to the cells
She waited patiently as Riley opened the door, tucking the dog tags under the collar of her new uniform, she didn't think it would be a good idea for anyone else to see them, especially since one belonged to Riley.

The metal doors slid open, her eyes falling miserably on the white cells, she didn't want to go back into them again, why was he doing this ... couldn't he have taken her away from here while she was out of her cell. She really didn't want to go back in her cell, she could see the small prison she was being kept in had been cleaned, the blanket neatly folded and put to the back of the small space.

Cat's eyes fell upon a figure who was making her way towards the three of them ... it was Joan, she instinctley, defensivley folded her arms. Joan was doing up her zip, Cat's eyes traveled up to her face which smirked down at the young mutant. Her eyes flicked around the room, falling upon the only occupied cell, Spike was fully clothed but she could see his hands were secured behind his back and his belt was undone. Her eyes flicked over to Riley but his expression was stoney, she let her eyes fall uncomfotably from Joan's face, she didn't need to know alot about flirting and the like to guess what had just happened.

She looked back at Riley, he wasn't going to leave her here with Joan was he? She stepped back slightly away from Joan, she found the girl very intimidating and she didn't understand why Joan didn't like her, she hadn't done anything she knew of to annoy the girl. She didn't like the way Joan was looking at her, she closed her hands around her arms a little tighter about herself.

Her eyes wandered over to her cell again, she couldn't wait for Riley to come back again, she didn't even know the time, perhaps it would be evening soon, she couldn't tell, it was so clinical down here and the lights hurt her eyes. All the happiness she had experienced in the last couple of hours seemed to drain away leaving her feeling depressed again and Riley hadn't even left yet. She wondered how he would react now Joan was here, boyfreinds wern't supposed to be nasty were they, how could she be going out with him when he had to pretend he hated her. How was she to know if she really liked him if he had to act like someone else around her, she looked down at her folded arms. She refused to let herself look at Joan ... she was a very different Cat to the girl who'd turned up at the gates of Xaviers school such a short space of time ago.

Re: Back to the cells
The sight of Joan didn't do wonders for that terrible feeling that was slowly eating away at Riley's consiounce, especially when he noticed her acting as if she was just finishing getting dressed. To even give the slightest frown might hint to Marcs personality having been faded from Riley's behaviour, and if Joan even suspected Riley's return, he feared she might do as she had threatened them and wipe his memory again.

"Aren't you coming with us?" Graham's asked what Riley was thinking, but Joan simply shook her head, Riley had thought Annie or Forrest where going to be on duty.. not Joan.. not alone with his Catherine.. ..His Catherine? He's never thought of her as 'his' before.. it felt strange.. as if he suddenly had rights that no other person on this world had.. he should be able to tell her whenever and where ever he wanted that he loved her, he should be able to hold her and kiss her without a reason being needed other then the simple fact he loved her..

That terrible feeling was slowly growing into something almost nameless as it swelled inside of him, he didn't want to leave her alone with Joan, he didn't like.. or trust this girl. But Graham placed a hand on Riley's shoulder and pulled him around, guiding him towards the door before his friend could do anything that might condem him to another memory wipe..

Riley glanced back with disapprovel as Joan took hold of Catherine, but the female agent wasn't looking at Riley as the doors shut and Graham pulled Riley off, she was staring over Catherine's new attire with amusement. But after a moment, her powerful grasp easily dragged the mutant over to her cell, placing her in with Spike even though the rest of the cells for once where empty.

Joan didn't even speak as she turned away and moved into the re-programming room to begin setting some things up.. leaving Catherine and the now.. unknown to Catherine at this time.. re-fanged creature.. Spike's rather blank stare only slowly found its way up to her eyes before he pulled his knees up to his chest as if to hide or protect himself from her.. He couldn't see it as Catherine, all he could see was a female wearing an initiative uniform..

"No more.." His eyes dropped to his knees as he spoke quietly in a defeated voice, but then blinked and frowned as he stared at her hands.

"Need a stamp.. need to have a special stamp.. can't be in here otherwise, not allowed without a stamp... stupid board.. did it all nicely an' put it outside like he told me to.. but it rained an' the chalk all ran.. not my fault.. knew I'd get fired.. mother's gonna be sad when she finds out.." His eyes soon stared at his knees, not really paying any attention to the girl who had been locked in here with him.

Re: Back to the cells
She felt the familiar and now rather comforting feel of anger flooding though her, it wasn't fair she hadn't done anything wrong yet these people thought they had the right to take her away from her home and her freinds and keep her here against her will. She glanced down at the vampire then back up at the dissapearing back of Joan as she went inot the re-programing room.

She knew she should just keep quiet ... that she shoudln't say anything ... that it would only make things worse for herself in the long run.

'Hey.' She called out angrily after the blonde woman. 'Le'me go, why are you doing this?' Her hands clentched into fists by her sides, her fingernails digging into her smooth skin. 'Why won't you let me go?' She glanced down at the vampire again, with the return of her usual gumpiness she didn't feel much or any pitty for the creature, he could look after himself, he was older than her.

She stepped up angrily towards the electric glass front of the cell, she wasn't angry enough yet to punch the glass, but she flet suddenly strong enough to stand upto Joan, to find out why she didn't like her.

'Why do you have such a problem with me?' Her voice called out. 'What have I ever done to you.' she waited impatiently for the woman to answer her, knowing with each moment that passed that Riley was getting further and further from her, leaving her alone with this monster of a woman. It seemed hard to think that such a short space of time ago she'd been in his arms, kissing him.

Re: Back to the cells
Flinching as the girls loud yells pounded against his sensitive hearing that had gotten even more used to the silence, the vampire panicked slightly at all the noise she was making.

"Demon! Demon! She's part demon! Don't bring her back, don't bring her back! Stop yelling! Bad, hurtin' me, stop!" Shutting his eyes, he shook his head in protest before leaning forward and hiding his face against his knees with frightened whimper. But his mind was soon distrated from what he was saying to something, jumping from one memory or thought to another without reason.

"....Bad puppy.. went for a walk an' never came back, will she be mad?" One minute he's laying in bed with Rogue, the next he's out and about, and then he's taken away, does she know, or does she think he just run away from her? Shifting his position, the vampire pulled his face away from his knees and moved his legs so he could sit kneeling on them, he stared at the ground for a moment before turning his back to Catherine.

"Hmm.." He stared at the back wall for a moment, then over at the other walls, this didn't look like his room... didn't he have a bed? He frowned.. what was Angelus playing at now? Wait... wasn't Angelus dead? ...Why was there a girl in military uniform standing in his cell?

At the girls yelling, Joan only smiled to herself, the room she was in was dimly lit since she hadn't turned on any of the lights. The center of the room had a single metallic chair, the far left had similar medical chairs that run along the entire wall, eight in total. To the right where eight bio-tubes standing vertically in the wall, the glass doors a pale see through green. There where benches around the center chair, a scattered collection of needles and other sorted tools of all shapes and sizes, mainly needles and surgery knives. Joan's fingers curled around a needle as she turned and made her way towards Cat's cell.

"You know.." Joan's form appeared through the door with a dart gun in one hand and a knock out dart in the other, slowly sliding it into place in the guns barrel.

"...ever since I met Riley, me, and about a hundred other girls, have all tried getting his attention, and what happens, some snotty nosed little inexperienced brat comes and screams at him and suddenly he's all dreamy over her." She clicked the dart into place and readied the gun to be fired, she tapped it teasingly against the glass in front of Catherine.

"All the effort he went to, all the risks he took to help you get back to this world, you are aware it's all your fault that he was put up for a memory wipe?" Her smile returned, her arms folding over her chest as she adds with a rather matter-of-fact tone heard in her voice.

"But let me guess, you don't care right? Or.. it wasn't really your fault.. or how about he didn't really go to that other dimension he was ordered not to go to because he wanted to get you.. he went there to get everyone, he just couldn't wait for the X-Men, who where already searching for ways to get there... pfft.. please.." She rolled her eyes as she turned around and disappeared back into the room, returning with a small stool and placing it a meter away from Cat's cell and sitting down on it.

"All alone.. needs to help her.. sorry Riley.... wasn't me, Dru was the one who ate Sammy, I just asked BeeBee to get me some hot chocolate.. she knows I like it with a marshmellow.." His voice was muffled slightly since he had his back to them, his head resting gently against the back wall of the cell, Joan ignored the vampires mumbles as she rested her weapon on her lap.

"Now that I've got you all to myself, I think I'm going to have some fun... would you like to see what's in the back room? I've got a whole bunch of toys to show you.. sharp pointy little toys.." It sounded as if she was talking with a young child when she spoke, mocking her with a pleased smile.

Re: Back to the cells
The cellblock doors opened, T1 walked through, the limp hanging body of Thompson in one hand and a pile of clothes in the other. He kept walking along the row of cells until he reached Catherine’s, ignoring Joan he turned his head towards the opposite direction and spike he paused, his files told him that this was the mans previous cell, he brought up Spikes file

-Dangerous to humans-

He turned his head back towards Cat’s cell, his red eyes stopping on her, bringing up her files in his internal processor

-Captured together and could well plan an escape if left alone-

He looked up the rows of cells; they were all full or dangerous to humans. Dropping the clothes to the floor he moved his hand towards Catherine’s control panel, hovering for a second before drawing it back and activating his internal comms “assistance required in the cells regarding the placement of prisoner Thompson” with that he stood unmoving, he had not been given the jurisdiction to make important decisions himself, all he was supposed to do is carry out other’s orders

Re: Back to the cells
Catherine glanced back down at Spike, she wondered what he was talking about. 'Bad puppy.. went for a walk an' never came back, will she be mad' a small amount of pitty crept into her face as she cast her eyes down at his figure as he put his back to her. He must be insane again, the idea worried her however, being locked up with a crazy vampire was all she needed at the moment.

She watched sharply as Joan entered the room again, her eyes making out something gripped in her hand. Cat shifted her weight onto her other foot, as Joan walked closer she made it out to be a needle. A shiver traced down her spine just at the sight of it, she distinctly hoped it was for Spike.

'ever since I met Riley, me, and about a hundred other girls, have all tried getting his attention, and what happens, some snotty nosed little inexperienced brat comes and screams at him and suddenly he's all dreamy over her.' Her eyes watched Joan as she loaded her dart gun ... what was she up to ... why did she have to play these cruel games with Cat?

Where was Riley? Why had he left her here at the hands of Joan, her eyes flicked over to the door as if by willing him to walk through he actually would. She remembered how safe she felt in his arms, her thoughts turned to what might happen that night for a moment, but Joan tapping on the glass door of her cell caused her train of thought to be broken. Her eyes fell once more upon the needle that Joan was carrying ... maybe she just wanted to scare her?

'But let me guess, you don't care right? Or.. it wasn't really your fault.. or how about he didn't really go to that other dimension he was ordered not to go to because he wanted to get you.. he went there to get everyone, he just couldn't wait for the X-Men, who where already searching for ways to get there... pfft.. please...' She just wanted to yell in Joan's face that Riley was back and she was going out with him, she just wanted to see the look on Joan's face, she knew he'd never kissed Joan the way he'd just kissed her, not after the way he talked about Joan.

Cat seethed internally for a moment while Joan went into the back room once again, she returned carrying a stool. When she sat down Cat knew that Joan was going to take great delight in torturing her for the next few hours. Her eyes flicked almost automatically towards the door ... maybe the mission would be cancled, maybe he'd come back, maybe he'd come back for her and help her escape.

'Now that I've got you all to myself, I think I'm going to have some fun... would you like to see what's in the back room? I've got a whole bunch of toys to show you.. sharp pointy little toys.' Cat backed away a little, her face still angry.

'You wouldn't dare.' But there was something in Joan's face that told Cat that she'd have no problem in doing just what she threatened.

Her eyes moved to the door, her heart leaping as it slid open but it plummeted again when a huge bulking figure stepped through it. She had hoped for Riley but it seemed he wasn't coming back for her ... not yet anyway. She wanted to get out of this cell again, she didn't like being cooped up. Her eyes fell upon the figure of Thompson, he couldn't be dead even though his form was limp in the huge man's arms, they wouldn't have brought him back here if he was.

(ooc-Sorry for the short post, my comps acting all weird.. the windows and programs keep closing down on me *Lost her previous longer post when word shut down*...*sobs*

EDIT: *Adds little bits over time while computer threatens to blow up*..)

"There's no point looking at the door sweetie, Marc's off saving New York from a nest of nasty bugs, those demonic creatures are bound to keep their team busy for at least two or more hours." With another cruel smile that rugged at the corner of her lips, Joan then looked over at T1, motioning towards Catherine's cell as she spoke to it.

"Put him in there, get the girl while you're in there, take her into the re-programing room and lock her down in the restraints of the center chair." She crossed her legs as she aimed her dart gun lazily in Cat's direction, pushing the stool another meter away so the Cyberdroid had room to move and enter the cell with our her gettin in the way.

"Go to Africa, get the spark.. go insane.." The vampire said to himself, still with his back to the others as he repeated in his mind what the Slayer of this world had told him. Wasn't really much of a problem, he was already insane, couldn't be too worse off becoming more insane again.. it's not like anyone paid him any attention anyway, other then Rogue.. But wasn't getting a soul ment to make him better? How can he get better if he's getting worse.. and how can he think if everyone's talking? It was hard enough to focus without these girls hovering around him, didn't they have better things to do other then stand around talking? Since Joan wasn't in the cell, and he wasn't focused enough to pay attention to her, Spike didn't recognise her until he partially turned his head, as soon as he saw the blonde he yelled out angrily as he turned his attention back to the wall.

Shifting his face into its demonic form, the vampire kept roaring in a panic, slamming both the side of his head and his left shoulder hard against the wall as if trying to break through. When his efforts made no effect on his current situation, the tormented creature simply pressed the side of its body against the wall as he crept with a whimper a meter to the right so he could hide in the corner.

Re: Back to the cells
With a grin spreading delicatly across her lips, it hinted whatever Joan intended to do she was certain was bound to be highly enjoyable.. for her anyway..

"You know how hard it was to get Marc out on assignment in his condition?" She asked without really expecting an answer, throwing the robot a glance as she waited for him to get her out of the cell.. Though keeping her locked up with an insane vampire was also pretty appealing.. all these entertaining options and so little time to enjoy them all.

"But if he's anything like Riley, temper aside, then it'd been impossible to have any fun with him around, but now he's gone, unable to protect his precious little kitten.. Just the two of us, all alone.. it's gonna be a scream.." Without looking away from Catherine, Joan's hand slipped into her back pocket, pulling out a small device and pressing a button, there was a clicking noise from behind Catherine as Spike's restraints cluttered to the ground. Standing, Joan moved in front of the glass barrier, turning her gun about, she began tapping the glass gently with the buttom of the guns handle.

"Unless of course, you'd rather stay in there.. we haven't fed him yet.. he's been a little busy with other things.. haven't you 'Spikey'.. Maybe you can show Kitty-Cat here the game we played, I'm sure she'd like that." The tapping had become louder as she talked, the vampire covering his sensitive ears with the palms of his now freed hands. It was obvious Joan was trying to aggitate the vampire enough so he'd lose his temper, part of her hoping that the insane creature would turn on the girl.. that would be amusing to watch..

Re: Back to the cells
the robot reached down and picked up the clothes again from where he had dropped them, then extended his gloved hand again towards the control panel to Cat's cell, there was a slight stirring in the agent he held aloft as the door slid open, he took two paces forward into the cell and released his grip on Thompson, letting him fall to the floor violently then did the same with the clothes.

he turned his attention towards Cat, reaching out and grasping her by the arm, his grip firm but not so hard as to damage her. "she needs classification" he turned his head sideways towards joan "protocol section 2 sub sections B to C states that hostiles should remain as intact as possible until such time as they can be classified, permission to use hostiles for personal experementation must then be sought from the base commander or an officer appointed with said task" he recited mechanically, the files running through his processor as he assesed Her orders.

"Listen here tin man, I'm Joan Cortez, I own this hostile for as long as she remains within my care, and I can do whatever I wish with her as long as she is not seriously damaged or killed." Joan folded her arms in protest to having a walking toaster question her orders, she already has decided she'll make this computer do as much terrible jobs as she can find.. quickly wondering when was the last time the shower rooms for the first year agents had been last cleaned.

"If you don't remove her from that cell, that demon will eat her, she's safer with me.. or you can leave and I'll handle her on my own." Joan's words almost sounded as either a warning or a threat, not that the machine man could probably tell the difference, but Joan didn't really care at all.

"Besides, we're just going to have some girl to girl chat.." Althoug this was partly true, Joan was keen on making sure this girl would suffer as much as possible within the next hour or two before Marcs return..

without speaking he stepped backwards from the cell dragging Cat with him as he went, closing it behind him. "all hostiles entering the initative under the custody of its agents are automatically property of the government, they can therefore not be owned by an individual person unless permission of ownership has been granted by the base commander or an officer appointed with said task" he walked past Joan as he spoke, it was as if he was annoyed at being insulted.

the door of the retraining room opened and he walked through, forcing Cat to the chair and restraining her with slight difficulty through her struggling and trying to hit him. he turned and walked to the side of the door and stood to attention looking inwards "all experimentation must be done under supervision from an independant observer to ensure that any undue damage to the initiatives property is fully reported to the base commander"

Re: Back to the cells
Rolling her eyes with annoyance, Joan followed them into the room, watching as he bolted her arms and legs into the medical seat firmly. With a wave of her hand, Joan motioned ofr the cyberdroid to back away so she had room to breath, smiling keenly at Cat as the girl was restrained in the chair.

"Struggle all you like, even Riley and Spike couldn't get through these restraints, a weakling like you has no chance." The smug look on her face wasn't at all bothered to be hidden as she loomed over Cat, her hands resting on the arms of the chair that Cat's arms where bound to by metal hinges. Even her head had been fastened into place by a restraint spanning across her forehead and pinning it to the bakc of the chair.

"You know, everyone who's sat there has screamed.. execpt Riley, with that chip going off in his head his endurence to pain seems to have increased." After she spoke, her eyes narroed slightly, she leaned even closer to her, her keen demonic sense picking up a strong alien scent all over her.. Riley..

"You didn't look too upset when Marc had dropped you off.. I'd have expected you to run away from him screaming.." Her eyes glared at Catherine, her face and tone seeming as if she had just discovered something that annoyed her beyond even that of the tin man standing watch over her.

"Either you charmed Marc... which I doubt it.. or Marc charmed you.. which I also doubt it.. since he 'really hates you'... Or that fight in the cell the other day did more harm then we realized." Standing up again, one hand reached for a rather long pointed needle, which she lazily used right in front of Catherine to clean her already perfectly kept nails. She gave a purposfully exhausted sounding sigh as she studied her nails while cleaning them, she already knew how to make this girl suffer.. and it'd keep tin man happy since it won't damage her physically..

"Though I don't see how that's possible to return his memory.. and Commander Halliwell has ordered you not to be harmed.. physically anyway.. mentally wasn't mentioned." She wouldn't do anything now, in fact.. she wanted Catherine to spend the rest of the day with Riley just as the Commander had agreed to let happen. Graham had convinced the Commander that if they started treating Catherine better she might be less trouble.. after all.. she hadn't done anything to warrent being treated as a demon. Suddenly a look, which Joan faked, of surprise hit her face as she shook her head slightly.

"I knew I had forgotten something.. boy.. Marc must be half starved by now.. he hasn't been able to eat for almost over two days now." With a smirk, the agent readied the needle for use in Catherine's arm, her eyes peering towards T1 almost as if sensing he was about to denie her this right.

"All agents are to be tested for disease when entering and moving freely about the base.. I have orders to make sure she doesn't bring dangerous otherside germs into our nice clean compound." The point of the needle pressed against Catherine's arm but not breaking her skin until T1 gave Joan the ok to do this, although truthfully she enjoyed allowing the tip of the needle to linger against her skin as she squirmed in a panick.

Meanwhile outside, as soon as the others had left, Spike's attention slowly turned towards Thompson, Nick had once been responsble for killing him.. maybe that's how Spike died.. maybe it was now.. maybe he was allowed to die now? There was a growl as the vampire lunged at the man, being nice and friendly wasn't getting him what he wanted, and he wanted to die, so this guy was going to kill him now or he was going to die himself!

But no matter how angrily or insane Spike was.. he still didn't want to hurt innocents.. but if he ever got hold of an agent, he was going to rip them apart for what they have been doing to him.. Still in his demonic face, grabbing at the man locked in the cage with him, Spike pinned him powerfully against the wall. With a loud animalistic roar aimed directly at the mans chest as the vampire realized he was not awake, Spike threw him across the tiny cell into the other wall. The vampire didn't turn around right away, the man seemed dazed still from his previous escape attempt, Spike's eyes peering down at his undone belt buckle, his hands slowly fixing it before he turned around. With another pain filled roar, Spike's hands grabbed at the otherworldly agent and lifted him up to his feet, his grasp wasn't painful, in fact, he know was doing his best not to hurt the genetically created human. He shook the agent slowly and gently, pulling him partially away from the wall before letting him fall back against it.

"I didn't want any part of it, I didn't want the light to go, make him bring it back, make him take away the slave pens, make him bring back the light, I want the light.. make him bring it back!" It was as if the vampire had forgotten they where no longer back in their own world, but as soon as he finished speaking his eyes took on a glazed look as he simply stood there staring blankly at the mans chest, though not paying it any attention. Spike's hands remained grasping Nick's bare shoulders though now Spike remained motionless where he stood..

Re: Back to the cells
She strained helplessly against the huge mans strength, trying to twist her hand free from his grip, attempting to lash out at him with her other. She didn't want to go in that chair ... in that room, her eyes travelled over to the door once again but she knew there was no chance of Riley walking though them to rescue her. She could still taste him in her mouth, smell him on her skin.

Catherine felt him clamp down one of her arms and then the other, pressing both her lgs effortlessly into the restraints, finally clipping her head into position so she couldn't struggle. She still pulled her hands and legs against the metal bars, her skin digging into the metal but it didn't give a millimeter.

'Struggle all you like, even Riley and Spike couldn't get through these restraints, a weakling like you has no chance.' Cat glared at her, her face livid but there was something fearful in the depths of her dark eyes.

'Let me go.' She snarled angrily, still pulling against the sharp metal edge of the restraints. 'now!'

'You know, everyone who's sat there has screamed.. execpt Riley, with that chip going off in his head his endurence to pain seems to have increased.' She'd had Riley here? locked up like this? she'd hurt him, Cat felt a flush of red hot anger run though her leaving her trembling with fury even though there was nothing she could do about her present situation.

'Either you charmed Marc... which I doubt it.. or Marc charmed you.. which I also doubt it.. since he 'really hates you'... Or that fight in the cell the other day did more harm then we realized.' She set her lips in a thin line, there was no way she was telling Joan what had gone on in that room, she could remember Riley's hands on her back pressing her eagerly against him, a small shiver ran through her at the memory. Perhaps he'd do that again tonight, she looked a Joan with something of a triumphant look, Riley had told her he loved her, she knew he didn't like Joan.

'All agents are to be tested for disease when entering and moving freely about the base.. I have orders to make sure she doesn't bring dangerous otherside germs into our nice clean compound.' Cat's eyes followed the sharp instrument, fear now written over her face.

'Get that thing away from me!!' Her voice was panicked, but Joan only leaned closer to Cat with the needle. Cat tried desperatley to squirm away from it, pulling her hands fiercley agaisnt the metal bars in an effort to get away. Her stomach churned just at the site of it, she made a whimpering noise as the needle dipped closer to her skin.

'Stop it please, please.' Her voice had risen to a more panicked note as she eyed the point of the needle, as if she expected it to jump up and bite her at any moment. She was sure she was going to be sick. 'Joan please don't.' She begged, 'Le'me go.' There were tears of fright in her eyes.

Re: Back to the cells
As he slowly regained consciousness he could feel the strange sensation of flying followed by a sharp jolting as his back hit the cell wall, it happened again. He gasped for breath, his eyes opening sharply to see Spike holding him against the wall but at first he did not recognize him, instinctively he threw a punch at the vampire, realizing who it was as he did so.

His fist stopped a few centimeters from Spike’s face “sorry” his voice was quiet and rasping through tiredness and thirst “force of habit” he dropped his fist and went to move, only then realizing that the vampire was holding him against the wall “what the…” he stopped mid exclamation as he twigged that they had probably gone ahead and removed his chip as they said they would.

“go on then, kill me” his voice showed defeat “I’m too tired to fight, just go ahead and get it over with” he took a deep painful breath and closed his eyes tightly waiting for the inevitable, after all, spike was now a killer again and he was probably going to be stuck here for the rest of his life, so what would be the point in resisting.

Re: Back to the cells
Not a single thing had registered within the vampires mind as he stood there, a usual defence taken when he was being tormented by somthing.. most of which was almost always Angelus. But he was partly woken from this state by two simple words...kill me.

"I’m too tired to fight, just go ahead and get it over with." Lifting his golden eyes from the chest he had been blankly allowing his gaze to remain, Spike stared at Nick's eyes as if perhaps looking at them hard enough, even though they where shut, might make what he had just said have more sense. But with a blink, Spike had already lost concentration and was now once again frowning as he stared down at where his right hand grabbed firmly onto Thompsons arm.

"Went to sleep an' wouldn't wake up, meant to wake up when I call him, but Dru got hungry, ate lil'sunshine, only a puppy.. told her not to eat him." The vampire said rather defencivly as if expecting to be blamed for the death of the young pet that he had got to keep the humans company.. they liked their pets and he wanted to make them a little happier.. what with Angelus eating some of them it made the rest really gloomy.

"Saw mother coughin' again yesterday, offered t'call the cart to take her t'the doctor but she wouldn't hear o'it, just kept t'her sawin'." He mumbled to himself almost shamefully at not being able to convince her to take better care of her health. Still unaware he was even in his demonic face which he had shifted into while throwing a fit at Joan's presence, Spike took his gaze off the floor where it had dropped.

"I helped'em get Angelus an' Dru, I helped'er get t'Riley, 'at was good wasn't it? Do I get to have a reward? Slayer says I might die soon.. can it be now? Can't get to Africa from in'ere.. 'sides, gotta go inside in order to get better, not much o'an insentive, is it? Won't make much difference though..." Suddenly a faint almost suspicious frown struck his lips and eyes as he trailed off, his golden gaze quickly glancing over the agent.

"Do you have a stamp? Gotta have a stamp to be in'ere.. not proper dress codes either.." Spike finished with a slight grunt of disapprovel before quickly withdrawing his hands from Nick's arms and rubbing the palm of his hands across his chest as if trying to remove dirt that might have been passed onto him from touching the humans skin.

"Don't touch me.." He hissed, the fact it was him who had been grabbing hold of the human overlooked by the seemingly confused creature who frowned even more in displeasure.

"Stupid human.. if I get dusted.. an' you get killed.. who the bloody hell's gonna take care o'the lil'nibblet? Riley? Ha! Lotta bloody use he is.." Growled the vampire who seemed to slip in and out of his insanity without even noticing it himself, he still hadn't registered it had been Catherine earlier in the military clothes that had entered his cell..

Re: Back to the cells
Since there was no disapproval from T1, Joan allowed the needle to slid into Catherine's flesh, ignoring her pleas totally as she slowly pulled it out again once all contents where emptied. Placing the now useless needle aside, Joan picked up one final needle and then knelled down before Catherine, leaning closer to her and place her left hand over Catherine's bound right arm. If the first needle had been done delicately.. Joan had no intentions of showing the same touch of care.. raising her right arm, Joan smirked as she jabbed the needle roughly into Catherine's chest, extremely lucky she had missed any bones.

Once the last of the anti-bacterial drug was inserted into her systems, Joan pulled the needle free of her body and simply tossed it in an almost bored fashion back onto the tray of instruments. Pushing herself to her feet, Joan crossed her arms and asked in a mocking motherly tone as he eyes gazed smugly over Catherine..

"All done.. want to go back to the killer demons cell, or stay an' play or chat some more?" With another cruel smirk, Joan gathered the instruments and began shifting them about, separating them into their right order and positions, removing any dirty used ones for later cleaning.

"You think it's bad for you now? Imagine being a 14-year-old boy from nowhere.. you know he says they don't even have a TV down there, imagine what it's like seeing a high security cell." Picking up a small cutting knife and a cloth, she turned to Catherine and purposefully began polishing the blade in front of her.

"Gotta admit.. he squirmed more then, I remember watching them cutting him open you know." She stepped towards Catherine slowly, giving the metallic restraint that held her head in place a tap with the blade to give a gentle clunk and then pretending to drag it across her chest over her heart before smirking and moving away.. she seems extremely delighted with herself.

"Of course it took three years before he realized what we did, tried to run off and took a swing at one of the agents, really.. I don't see why he is so keen on going home.. He did abandon them, like they'd even want him back after what he's done to them, mother and father Finn where all snivelling when he left.. but they're perfectly fine now without him." Again she moved off, picking up the tray and moving it off towards the cabinet, moving out of Catherine's sight.

Re: Back to the cells
Her body flinched violently at the sensation of the needle digging into her smooth skin, her arm muscles tightening, only making the slight pain of the needle worse, her breath choaked in her throat as she did so. Her large now tear filled eyes watched as Joan emptied the contents of the needle into her, a cruel smile upon her lips as she did so.

The fear in Catherines' face was easy to see, her body still trying to pull herself free from the restraints which secured her firmly in place.

'Please let me go.' She said, the first of the tears slipping down her terrified face. 'Please.' She didn't like this torture she was being put though, and as far as she could fathom it was all because Riley pefered her over Joan. She'd never felt quite as alone as she did now, she wondered if anyone would even miss her, be wondering where she was, maybe they thought she'd just run off at Xaviers. Spike seemed to have gone insane again and even Thompson hadn't recovered from before and she ... she was trapped in a room, at the mercy of someone who didn't even like her. She squirmed slightly in the chair as Joan extracted the needle from her.

'What was in there? Le'me go.' She whimpered, her meger strength pulling at the restraints which could easily secure Riley or even Spike down with no effort. 'Let go of me, you can't do this.' Her voice was raised in fear not even regestering she was hurting herself on the sharp edges of the metal restraints on the chair. 'You said you'd let me go.' She sobbed, her fright mounting as Joan picked up yet another needle, Cat felt her kneel down, even though her face was blury due to her own tears, Joan leaned in closer to her.

She let out a startled cry of pain as Joan stabbed the needle hard into her, fear and pain rushed through her. Her body flintching yet again, looking down to see a couple of red spots of blood had seeped through onto her uniform from where Joan had just removed the needle. Her chest screamed in pain from Joan injecting the drug straight into her heart, Cat's breath caught in her throat again though this time it was because of pain and not fear.

'I wanna go home, let me go.' Cat said, pulling her amrs fiercley against the restaints, the restraints beginning to cut into her soft skin, heightening both her pain and fear. She wanted to go home to Washington, to curl up in her own bed and forget any of this had ever happened, all of it, Xaviers ... everything ... except perhaps kissing Riley.

Her eyes tearfully watched Joan as she pretended to slice open her chest, iching as far away from her as the chair would allow her to, which wasn't that far.

'Of course it took three years before he realized what we did, tried to run off and took a swing at one of the agents, really.. I don't see why he is so keen on going home.. He did abandon them, like they'd even want him back after what he's done to them, mother and father Finn where all snivelling when he left.. but they're perfectly fine now without him.' Cat hardly heard what she said, she was still trying to pull her hand free from the restraints.

Re: Back to the cells
It had been one of the quickest decisions Riley had ever made.. he was sure of it, but the moment those doors into the holding cells closed, he urged Graham to take him straight to Commander Halliwell.. He didn't like - nor want or desire in any way - leaving Catherine alone with that monster, not after everything he's seen or remembered of her. There was a rather panicked, quickened pace Riley had taken that had caused the other two agents, Graham and Forrest, to take on a half jog have brisk powerwalk to keep up with the Rogue Agent.

Although it took only a second for the door to be opened, Riley felt as if he had been standing there for hours impatiently waiting. He basicly forced himself through before the door was even half way open, hurrying past the cells and causing Spike to pull his angry eyes from the human over towards the other agents. Riley stared at Thompson and Spike and then over at the other cells all empty of Catherine and then to the only remaining door left. Again the door to the re-training room opened, the first thing to be seen was Catherine's form bound tightly to the metallic arm chair that gave all the agents.. though Riley couldn't really remember why.. a slight shiver that ran down their spines. But from utter surprise and shock of seeing Catherine being tied down, Riley's eyes turned instantly to Joan who spun about to see who had intruded so hastily into the room. Part of Riley was terrified that they had taken Catherine's memories like they had taken his.. but she recognised him, so he eagerly pushed aside those panicked thoughts and focused on the more important matters.

Graham instantly handed T1 the autherisaztion papers needed to release Catherine into the costudy of Riley (Formally known now as Marc on the documant) and Graham. Riley however had rushed before Catherine and grabbed at the restraints of her wrists. Knelling down as he gave a frustrated tug at the bounds as Forrest moved over to Joan and whispered something into her ear. Without luck in freeing Catherine, the restraints locked in place electronically, Riley's hands quickly reached for her face, his thumbs stroking away the tears from her cheeks with a look of terrible guilt in his eyes. But Joan appeared ready to leave without unlocking Catherine, walking half way out the door without even considering freeing her.

"Unlock the restraints Joan!" His hands had dropped from Catherine's cheeks to rest lightly over her still restraints hands as he turned his head partially towards Agent Cortez. His voice was full of anger and it was obvious he was trying to calm himself.. if that other agent (unknown to Riley that T1 was a cyberdroid) wasn't around, he would have most likely charged up to Joan the instant he had seen what she had done to Catherine. He turned his body a bit more so he could see Joan clearly.. why was she smiling as if she had done something extremely enjoyable? This did nothing to lighten Riley's temper..

"Of course.. here you are." She held it out for Riley to take, pulling it away slightly as Graham reached for it, signally only Riley was permitted to take it from her. Riley looked back at Catherine with a glance that told her he'd be right back, and then stood up and stalked over to where Joan stood so smugly. Snatching the device from her, seething with anger for what she had done, yet fully aware there was nothing he could do without giving her reasons to keep him here for observations and possible memory re-wipe.

Turning on his heels as Joan gave another smile and waved farewell to Catherine, once again dropped to his knees as he clicked the button of the device, gentle buzz could be heard as Riley quickly dropped the small device and once again began grasping at the restraints and finished unlocking them by hand. Once she was completely free, his arms wrapped around her, pulling her towards him and letting her fall from the seat onto his thighs as he knelled before her, holding her protectivly from any more harm.. though he knew she had already suffered.. he had let her down. he was supposed to protect her from this and he didn't..

"..I'm sorry it took me so long.." He pulled slightly away so he see what damage had been done to her, a flicker of movement to his right caused him to glance at Graham's hand that was holding out some bandages for Catherine's wrists. Riley took the long thing soft white cloth and wrapped it gently around her wrists, first her left hand then her right.. all the anger vanished the instant he had taken his eyes away from Joan, who had now left with Forrest to see Commander Halliwell. Placing the special little clips that hold the bandage together and in place upon the bindings, Riley then lookd back up at Catherine, his fingers refusing to leave Catherines hands when they where done what was needed to wrap her tender wounds from the struggle against the restraints. After a moment he stared at the patch of red on her new shirt, looking almost panicked at the thought she was stabbed so roughly, glancing up at Graham, who gave a slight nod and then hurriedly left to get her a new shirt, Riley then returned his attention quickly towards Catherine.

His right hand quickly raised to her forehead, his fingers going over the marks left by the restraints before slowly letting them rest behind her neck as he gently pulled her towards him and he leaned forward just so he could feel the comfort of holding her again.

"..I'm so sorry." His words still drowned in guilt, as if it had been him who had jabbed her with the needles, he should have stayed and gotten Graham to talk with the Commander on his own.. He tried to ignore the presense of the other artificial male agent, though he would have probably been kissing her if the stranger had not been there..

"I want to get you out of here.. now.. can you walk? You're in my care now, you won't have to stay here again, Commander Halliwell has sent an Agent to Jon and told him to room up with Joan or another Agent while I'm in charge of your safety." It was only just as he finished speaking that Graham entered the room once again, this time holding up a new shirt and now ever a jumper very similar to Riley's older one only much smaller for Catherine's size.

"The Quaters are getting cleaned out and Jon's things are being moved, access is restricted for an hour to stop interference. We're about to head off for lunch Catherine, why not join us.. I assure you.. Joan isn't a typical Agent for the Initiative.. we're not all bad. 'Sides, it's been a while since you and.. uh.. Marc have eaten properly, so it'll do the both of you some good." Graham tried to sound matter of fact in his tone, quickly reminded himself not to referre to Riley as his real name with T1 present. Graham left the jumper with Riley and Catherine then shifted off to the doorway and passed it over to one of the other agents who had followed Graham back from when he went ot grab the clothes.

"I'll sent the new shirt to your room so it's there when you get back, you'll need a nice fresh one for tomorrow." After that Graham seemed to wait for the two others to make up their mind, but Riley was waiting for Catherine.. he'd do only what she would want.. he didn't care.. But he frowned as she thought and looked over at T1, now realizing he still wasn't sure what Joan had done.

"Do you know what Agent Cortez did to her sir?" What if she did something terrible.. what if Joan drugged her..

Re: Back to the cells
Cat's eyes flicked quickly over to the door, she could hear the sounds of footsteps from outside, she hadn't been around Riley long enough to learn his walk, but it couldn't be him since he'd been sent out on an assignment. She hardly cared who it was if it wasn't him, she hated it here, she hated the people, the environment, everything down to the smallest detail. Amid the fear on her face there was an equal amount of hatred to be seen in her dark eyes.

She watched Joan spin around, followed her gaze, her eyes lighting upon Riley ... he'd come back for her? She hoped so, or maybe it was just that her vision was being blurred by her tears. But then he was kneeling down next to her, his hands tugging at the restaints that were securing her down.

His hands reached for her cheeks, brushing away her tears even though they were replaced straight away by more. Her eyes followed him as he moved away and she'd stopped tugging against her restraints. He dropped down infront of her again his hands released her, she felt his arms wrap around her and pull her against his chest. She let her head fall forwards to rest her forehead on the broad expanse of his shoulder. Her body was shaking, half from the fact she was crying, the other from the fear of what had just happened, her arms closed around his chest, securing her against him, she didn't want to let him go incase he left her again and Joan returned.

She felt him prise her hands from around him, his hands careful as he bound her wrists with strips of white material, she realised for the first time how much her wrists hurt. She didn't look up the whole time, she didn't want him to see her crying, she was Cat and Cat didn't cry.

'I want to get you out of here.. now.. can you walk? You're in my care now, you won't have to stay here again, Commander Halliwell has sent an Agent to Jon and told him to room up with Joan or another Agent while I'm in charge of your safety.' She didn't care, she just wanted to stay here like this, forever, she didn't reply but her grip around his waist tightened slightly, her face still burried shamefully in his shoulder.

'The Quaters are getting cleaned out and Jon's things are being moved, access is restricted for an hour to stop interference. We're about to head off for lunch Catherine, why not join us.. I assure you.. Joan isn't a typical Agent for the Initiative.. we're not all bad. 'Sides, it's been a while since you and.. uh.. Marc have eaten properly, so it'll do the both of you some good.' Cat shook her head against his shoulder, she was so hungry it hurt inside but the way she was feeling at the moment she'd be sick if she tried to eat anything.
