Sub-Levels of the Institute - The Medical Lab
Stepping out into the round small entrance area, the walls with glass display cases, the X-men uniform displayed proudly for all arrivals to see. Connor remembered the first time he and his sisters came down here, he was 10, Madison 9, Arisa 6, his baby sister clinging against his chest as his tired arms held her exhausted body. The soft blue fur on her arms heated the hot skin of his neck, he had not complained once of the discomfort, though Madison had insisted she had legs that she should learn to use. Madison was very much like Connor in the sense she found it hard to express her emotions with people, but Arisa wasn't like that, she was always wanting company. Since Arisa's birth Madison had a strong dislike towards her little sister, Connor wondered if it had anything to do with the fact that she didn't like how their father had slept with another woman other then their mother, even if their parents didn't live together.

There was also the added guilt in Connor's mind that maybe Madison didn't like how when Connor spent time with Arisa he'd act differently to when he was with her. With Arisa he could hold her and play around with her, but with Madison things where more serious and he never held her, just placing and hand on either Connor or Madison's shoulder caused discomfort for them. Maybe Madison was upset with the different attention Arisa got from Connor, especially since whenever Arisa come over to visit Madison would lock herself away in her room, leaving Connor always upset and guilty over having to split his attention between them.

"I had welcomed you earlier to the school for the gifted," Connor's 'tour guide' tone had reappeared as he lead them into the room, two halls lead in different directions and they then lead towards other interconnecting halls that formed the underground maze that was the sub-levels of the institute. It was well lit down here, the silver metal walls a serious contrast to the mansion's interior up above, Connor turned about and had a very proud look about him, they had given Lauren this tour and he himself had given Riley the introduction to the X-men's underground lair.

"And now I welcome you to the base of the X-men." With a slow wave of his hand as he motioned towards the walls that had neatly folded black uniforms displayed with glass fronts, each uniform normally with a small trinket of somekind, watch, braclet, necklace, personal item of some kind that belonged to the owner of the displayed suit.

"Brought together through one man's dream of mutual peace, the longing for understanding and the hopes that one day people will not be judged by the colour of their skin, the way they look or talk or by the gifts they where born with or given." Leading the group from the room and down one of the halls, which still had at about chest level the glass front with suits displayed behind them, small gold plates with black copperplate engravings stating the name of the owner of the suit, when they where born, and when they died and a small photo of the person's face for those to see what that person had looked like. "First the X-men where loathed and feared, which was the whole point of making their identities a secret. The group of outcasts band together and fought for the very people who spoke angrily against him, often the very people they where helping, would be trying to destroy them." Heading off towards the medical room, giving his little history lesson as they travelled, though at the same time finding it hard not to think of when he had been here so long ago with his sisters, he always hated walking these halls, though he often would hide away down here in the hall near the medical room where his mothers suit was displayed.

It was very embarrassing for him, he had always been able to go to his mother and talk with her, of course the very important matters he had to discuss, such as 'Madison is calling Arisa names again, how should I handle it without hurting with of their feelings or making it look as if I'm taking sides?' Hardly seemed as important as today's events, but for him back then it meant the world to him that she'd take the time to listen and give her advice. So now, when he was really lonely, confused, unsure or upset, he'd linger down here and sit down across from his mothers suit and on a few occasions his sisters had cought him talking to himself as if she was there listening to him.

"I am called 'A Second Generation X-man', as are my sisters, we are the children of the first generation of X-men, we are the continuation of Xavier's dream." His eyes trailed off down the hall they where passing, his keen eyes staring at the 8th suit down on the right wall, a silver cross that their mother always wore placed on top of the neatly folded uniform behind the glass, he could even see her smiling face and read her name on the golden plaque. All this was in a quick glace of his hightend visual ability, his eyes turning to the door just a few meters futher.

"The X-men have saved this world so many times that we no longer go around celebrating the fact, you see," Connor paused at the door and faced Racheal "we do what we do because we can, we have the power to help others as well as ourselves, and we have decided to use that power." Frowning a little as he continued, casting his mind back to Cole in the front hall "And people like that man don't like us because we won't let him and his kind just destroy our world." It was never wise to go into details about demons, mermen, fairies, other dimensional vampires and such things when introducing a person to the X-men.. That was always wise to leave till later when they get more used to things, otherwise it tends to either frighten or overwhelm them, often both at the same time.

"We help a lot of people, and because we help, we make a lot of enemies, and you just met a new enemy of ours, he's not human, he's too powerful to face alone and seems to enjoy studying and playing with us." And by 'us' he had meant himself and his sisters, he didn't understand why Cole was so obsessed with his family but that demon just wouldn't leave them alone. The doors to the medical lab slid open and Connor lead the team inside, motioning for Riley to take a seat on one of the beds while he went off to dispose of the gun he had been holding in one of his hands.

"Did any of that help? I haven't done this for well over a year so I apologise if I was rusty with the introduction, basically, as my dad summed it up with us 'We're the good guys, we fight bad guys, an' that's about it, what else ya wonna know?'.." Of course that hadn't been the best reply at the time since three little kids were wanting to know why their mother was dying on a medical bed. But Wolverine was angry and didn't have the patience at the time they had asked, he had gone on to say that sometimes the only way the good guys can win is if they give their lives for what they believe in.

Connor stared at Racheal a little nervously, he wasn't sure how she'd react, it was a lot to take in and yet there was also so much that had been left unsaid. He had been talking an awful lot and everyone had been quiet and let him speak and now he was wondering if he had made any sense at all. He often babbled on about things when he was worried about something and if he was really distracted or nervous he tended to muddle up his words, something that always caused Arisa to giggle when he'd try and tred on uncomfortable grounds by complainging about both his sisters often agressive interactions together, the looks Madison would throw his way made it even harder for him to push himself to keep on complaining. But he had gotten much better once he passed 12 it seemed to stop since he became far more confident handling things ( such as his sisters ) without his mothers assistance.

Re: Sub-Levels of the Institute - The Medical Lab
It wasn't that the feline mutant wasn't surprised. During the tour, she had kept quiet, listening to Connor whilst her eyes wandered round. Trying to keep her head clear whilst she had walked along, her breaths had become deeper, suppressing her confusement, as well as everything else, for now whilst she tried to make sense of the jigsaw she had at the moment. The fingers of her right hand slowly ran over her thumb as they continued forward. Although she was paying attention, her mind wasn't really managing to take all this in. She had been watching the mansion for a while, determined not to make the same mistake as she had when she lost her brother. The thought that he should be standing here now, though under protest, unnerved her. It wasn’t just the guilt that kept taking her back to that dreadful day, but also the thought that she had finally lost everything that mattered. Perhaps more than ever she was glad she had come here, after all, she was tired of the loneliness and ways of the streets.

"I had welcomed you earlier to the school for the gifted," One eyebrow rose slightly at the tone of Connor’s voice. Racheal smiled slightly though, after all, it was true, and it did at the moment seem like he was the tour guide, even if it was for her benefit. "And now I welcome you to the base of the X-men.". Racheal’s eyes followed the wave of his hand, turning to look at the collection of uniforms and trinkets, now allowing a little surprise to show. She should have guessed how long this had been going on by his earlier mention of the school being founded 25 years ago, but now it brought it home. It seemed now that this was more than just a school, more than just a secret base, but these were results of a still occurring secret war. It shouldn’t really have surprised her that much. It seemed that everyone was at war in some way, maybe not visibly, maybe only in their hearts. But this seemed so much real, and now she hoped her choice had been right. So far, it looked it. "Brought together through one man's dream of mutual peace, the longing for understanding and the hopes that one day people will not be judged by the colour of their skin, the way they look or talk or by the gifts they where born with or given." She nodded slightly, as if that one sentence had confirmed her choice. Some people would claim that there was no way fighting could bring peace. But sometimes the war had to happen in order for peace to come, and for people to be grateful. Although she was lucky enough not to stand out from the crowd with her small visible mutations, Racheal had still had trouble with judgemental humans who had seen her eyes or canines. This Xavier guy sounded like a good chap..

Still following and listening, her slightly widened slits took in every detail, though her brain was still having trouble registering it. Most of the things she knew – either about life or education wise – she had taught herself, Jake unwilling to learn like his sister, who would occasionally ‘borrow’ a book from the small book store. But Racheal was pretty sure she would never find anything like this written in a book, at least not one that she could get her hands on easily. So her mind worked overtime, trying to make sense of the morning so far, having to remind herself that it had not been long since she walked through the doors, though now it seemed like a good few hours.

As Connor paused in a doorway, her eyes turned back to him as he spoke "we do what we do because we can, we have the power to help others as well as ourselves, and we have decided to use that power.".. "And people like that man don't like us because we won't let him and his kind just destroy our world." She nodded again. That made sense; after all, people didn’t seem to like being interrupted with anything. Still more to confirm Racheal’s choice in the matter. Four of five years ago, if placed in the same situation, it would have caused for a little teasing of her brother, as he would have been dragged – not quiet kicking and screaming, the boy had had some dignity – to even come within a mile of the school, let alone enter the grounds.

"We help a lot of people, and because we help, we make a lot of enemies, and you just met a new enemy of ours, he's not human, he's too powerful to face alone and seems to enjoy studying and playing with us." A slight shiver went down Racheal’s spine as he spoke now. Not human? There was something Connor wasn’t saying, but considering that he had said so much already, she let it be. She had heard of powerful mutants in the news, but they had always been human at least. This was a new threat, something that might take her a while to fully understand. And that bothered her; she wasn’t one to sit around waiting for something to happen. She preferred to know weaknesses in enemies and prey. While the others moved further into the room, she kept near the door as her eyes wandered around the advanced medical facility. Fortunately she had never really had the chance to fear doctors, so didn’t really seem to care about the current surroundings which may strike a nerve in other people.

"Did any of that help? I haven't done this for well over a year so I apologise if I was rusty with the introduction, basically, as my dad summed it up with us 'We're the good guys, we fight bad guys, an' that's about it, what else ya wonna know?'.." One eyebrow rose at the sum up. In all truth that did seem to be the way things were at the moment, but even her simplest thoughts knew that things could never be that simple. She tried once more to fit the jigsaw together in her mind, still missing chunks, though the picture was slowly becoming a little clearer.

”It does help explain a few things…” Her voice slow in thought. Racheal had known little about this place when she walked through the doors only that morning, and now that small amount of knowledge seemed to have multiplied about one hundred times. And yet her curiosity knew that there was more. She had previously decided not to press matters, she was lucky to know so much already. She gave a more confident nod now as the last given pieces fell into place. “For an introduction, it seems quite… complicated” She said with a slight smile, at ‘complicated’ “But like I said, it has helped to but a few things in focus” Racheal smiled slightly, falling silent again as she watched the others.

Re: Sub-Levels of the Institute - The Medical Lab
Unlike Racheal, Connor had developed a strong disliking towards Medical rooms, his mothers death in this very area aside, he had terrible images of what had happened to him and his sister in the A.Corp's medical lab everytime he walked into these type of rooms. So upon entering he stayed rooted at the entrance and didn't dare step further into the room, it was perhaps lucky for them that Beast was in the main lab taking caring of things there since Riley doesn't remember they are all his friends he might have gotten scared by the beast like apparence of their school doctor. Instead an older student guided Riley to one of the beds and asked him to lay down as they advanced machinery already began to heal his small cut that was causing a great deal of blood to have spilt down his front and stained his jeans.

Watching quietly as she began her tests, obviously Garnet had been her usual self and warned the medical staff about Riley's odd behaviour. There where no windows in thos room, or any of the rooms down here for that matter, it had been an upsetting fact for Connor when he discovered the last few days of his mother's life she'd be unable to even see ouside, only the insides of this cold and uninviting room. Allowing his eyes to wonder over the last bed that stood against the far wall, he never really came in here, so on the few rare times he has come in this room he tends to stare over towards the bed as if expecting to see his mother laying there. Slowly his hands began rubbing together rather nervously as he stared over towards the medical equipment.

"Um, I'm going to call Madi.." His thumb pointed over his shoulder back towards the door behind him as he forced his eyes over towards Lauren "..I'll be outside." Turning quickly as he stepped towards the door, calling back to Lauren as he left the room "Call me if you need me." There was an eagerness about him in his hast to leave the room, letting out a small sigh of relief once the doors shut behind him and he was out in the hallway. He was a little breathless for a moment, he felt so claustraphobic in labs now, even if the room was huge, he still felt cramped and trapped.

"Cerebro," Connor glanced down the empty halls, his eyes turning towards the other hallway just a few meters off, slowly taking a few steps towards it and standing at the intersection "Give me the location of Madison Enright." The female voice of the school's online intellectual computer replied a few moments later as Connor moved further down the other hall, out of sight to anyone who would exit the medical bay unless they walked to few meters to the intersection as well.

"Enright, Madison. Location; Danger Room."

"Open a com-link." After another moments pause, the computer replied with 'comlink opened' and Connor knew that was a signal for him to begin speaking.

(( -Cross post with the Danger Room Thread; 'A not so friendly duel'- ))

"Madison, sorry to interupt your training, but I need you down in the underground lab.." Approaching the neatly folded black X-men suit that had is mothers name displayed before it, Connor added with a rather distant tone "..something's happened." Staring at his mothers photo with a distant expression on his features, he asked with a hopeful plea for her company down here. "Are you able to come?" The tips of his fingers touched the glass, Madison was very similure in looks to their mother, only their mother always had smiled, she was so kind and sweet, Madison was more stern, distrusting and often cruel to others she didn't like or know well. Often Connor would give her these worried glances when he'd introduce her to people he'd just met, sometimes she'd behave herself, other times she'd be rather rude, though she did attempt not to make things too hard on Connor.

Part of him wondered how Madison would react when he told her that Arisa was missing, even worse then that was that it was Cole who had taken her.. That demon had done terrible things, more so to Connor since Madison wasn't captured in the second attempt of getting them back. They had drugged Connor with something so terrible that the young Wolverine appeared insane and confused, not remembering things and forgetting what year it was and how old they all where. As well as being highly emotional and rather dangerous towards others other then his two sisters. Connor didn't remember much of those days at all, only that his sisters where overly delighted when he started acting like himself again.. or at least partly so, since he was more secluded and always prefering to be off on his own or with just one or two others.

The polite thing would be to go back into the medical room, he felt bad leaving Lauren in there by herself with Riley and even worse about leaving Racheal, at least Lauren wasn't a stranger here. The worst part of that was Connor didn't feel as if he could go back in there even if he wanted to, the eighteen year old would be quite delighted in the thought of never having to go inside another medical lab for the rest of his prolonged life. None of Wolverine's kid's ever really pondered the fact that due to their mutant genes they would outlive all those around them, watching their friends and family grow old and pass away and then watching their friends children growing old and having their own families.. How long each of Logan's children will live is unknown, though most likely Arisa would be the one who outlives all others due to the magical properties of Arlen's blood and tears that she had been or will be exposed to.

Alright, so if Madison wasn't to react to Arisa being kidnapped the way Connor would like, there was little he could do about it so he might as well just try and not get too upset over whatever happens. Taking in a deep breath, he hovered about the hall, pacing about a little as he waited impatiently for his sister to arrive.

Re: Sub-Levels of the Institute - The Medical Lab
Although the luck mutant had been down here a couple of times before, it was still weird and exciting coming down here. She remembered her first trip, when she heard that not everyone in the school knew about this part of the Institute, Lauren had felt so honoured to be walking through the restricted section. Though, today as she walked through the halls, she remained silent instead of whispering ‘wows’ or ‘ooohs’ so Racheal was able to be introduced into the secret side of the X-Men.

Once in the advanced Medical Lab she took a moment to admire how advanced it really was, before being distracted by Connor’s voice as he mentioned that he was going to contact Madison. She gave a nod, then another as he said that he was going to be outside and another as he told her to call him if he’s needed. Then she watched as he quickly made his way out of the room. Though, she couldn’t see why he’d be needed, for now anyway, as Riley seemed to be more calm as the older student began tests on him. An odd look on her face at his speed of getting back into the hall, obviously she didn’t know about the past of Connor and his family.

"At times it can get complicated here! Six months of being here and I still get confused," Lauren said trying to pick up a convocation to escape the buzzing of machines the only thing that was braking silence in the secret med lab, piking up from where Racheal had last stopped at. "But then again, I get confused easily." She quickly added, not wanting to scare the new mutant by making it sound as if this place was extremely complicated and most of the people didn’t know what was going on. Lauren had a habit of making things sound worse than they really are. From there she just decided to stop talking, thinking that was better than where it could end up.

----------------------------------------------

From a little distance away from the Danger Room, Madison turned a corner and stopped using her absorbed speed and returned to a normal pace. She quickly gave a look over her shoulder to make sure she hadn’t been followed…

Once the doors of the Danger Room had closed behind her before, Madison had remembered what Brennan had done to her. Of all the guys that had to kiss her, it just had to be a Creed! That had only made her hate of that family grow more. Though as much as she dislike them, she had slowly begun to feel some sort of an unsure feeling about Brennan. She didn’t like him, but she felt… scared of him… Madison herself wasn’t sure on the answer, but she knew that she next time she saw him she’d be angry, yet want to run and avoid him. It seemed that a way to scare the Wolverette was by a simple kiss! It may have been because she wasn’t used to people showing her feelings like that before, excluding the time she went out with Lachlan earlier in the year, since she always had a hard time showing her own, apart from her angry side that many got to know.

Turning another corner she felt all brave again, she felt ready to seek revenge on Brennan. He had no right to do that. She would rather he knocked her out than that. Coming to a stop, she debated over going back or finding her brother. Then her choice was made up as she thought that he might kiss her again, so she resumed walking in a fast pace, though that speed was normal for Madison.

Shifting her mind away from what happened in the Danger Room, she began to wonder what was going on and why Connor had asked to meet her down here. Her mind came to realise that it was probably something big, if it was a small matter her brother could have contacted her in another way, and told her to meet him somewhere more casual than in the restricted parts of the Institute.

She gave an annoyed sigh at the thought of being called out to do something, she hadn’t had much sleep and to add to her tiredness was her battle against Shalimar, followed by taking on Brennan which had used up more of her energy. As she took in a breath she noticed that her senses were still enhanced from her absorption power, which had helped against Vulpine. She could smell the blood that soaked her black tank-top, and parts of her pants where she had wiped her bloody hands on, even her face remained a little bloodstained. Though, with all the blood that was visible or smell-able Madison was fully healed, even a few smaller wounds from when she had left the Danger Room had healed. Her healing power wasn’t as fast as her father or Connor’s, but it did heal much quicker than any normal person, or mutant. She hoped Connor would remember that when he saw her, she didn’t want him to fuss over her. Though, she could always tell him about what Brennan did, maybe that could bring trouble for the Creed.

Not only could she smell the blood, but a familiar scent of a family member nearby. Connor wasn’t too far from her! He was probably around the next corner, enhanced hearing allowed Madison to head footsteps, which confirmed it was Connor. The tone he had used before, the impatient footsteps, who else could it be? Madison always felt weird as she used enhanced senses. It was a mutancy she had used so often, with the mutant side of her mother, but was never hers. It was always a borrowed power.

"Hey," she said as she turned the corner and saw her brother. Immediately after speaking she looked down to her top. Slash marks, from the clawed nails of Shalimar, almost wreaking the top, luckily it was only used for training and nothing special. "So, what’s going on?" By now she was closer to her brother, her head rising as she spoke, as she drifted away from thoughts of Vulpine’s claws digging into her, and actually seemed interested to hear what was going on, though her tone clearly showed fatigue and annoyance of being brought out of the Danger Room earlier than she had wanted. It may not have been visible to hear to most, but Connor would have noticed it, he always knew how Madison felt.

Re: Sub-Levels of the Institute - The Medical Lab
Having watched Connor leave, her mind too busy still racing over the ideas of it all to really worry about it though he was the only one she could actually point out as knowing, her eyes turned to Lauren as she spoke.

"At times it can get complicated here! Six months of being here and I still get confused," Racheal nodded, smile appearing briefly. This place seemed confusing from where she stood, with out the extra she was sure this mutant knew. Quickly remembering to place the name to the face, she suppressed a soft giggle as Lauren continued, "But then again, I get confused easily."

"Even so, it does seem very confusing." It was true Racheal's life had never been glamorous, but it had been comfortable and simple. Racheal was struggling to believe that she would ever get used to it, but even in this short time she was wondering if anything could ever really surprise her again. If she was going to get used to it, Racheal knew she would have to actually stay willingly.

"Seems like a relatively nice place though..." Despite the previous disruption, she wasn't lying. She knew she had never been in a house this nice before, and she was struggling to remember seeing anywhere this big. And most of the people seemed nice enough.. at the moment.

Feline eyes continued to scan round the room even as she spoke, one hand flicking back a few stray hairs to behind her ear once more. Her only memory of the doctors was when she and her brother had been 5 years old and their mother had been taking them for vaccinations. Racheal had actually enjoyed going, the lollipop at the end of the visit only adding to her enjoyment, the only negative thing was Jake's insane fear and hysterics. She never had found out what he had been screaming about that day, and Racheal believed that she never would. Even those memories had faded to a brief feeling of de-ja-vu. It was one of the few memories she had before the incident that separated her from her parents, and now as she realised that even that had faded, she frowned slightly at the silent thought.

Racheal fell quiet again now as she watched and listened to everything, trying to soak in her surroundings, though she knew that she would likely forget the details in the future - her memory wasn't exactly a good spot with her. Now she waited silently, almost expecting more and still dreaming of a personal freedom.

Re: Sub-Levels of the Institute - The Medical Lab
"Hey," Turning around instantly to see his sister staring down at her clothes that where torn and tattered.. and reeked of blood. The first thought was that someone attacked her, Cole perhaps, or one of his goons, something terrible and Madison had been hurt and he should have been there but just like he wasn't there for Arisa he wasn't there for Madi either "So, what’s going on?" When she had looked up Connor was still staring at her clothes, though he could tell she was tired, by the look of her he wasn't surprised, there was also the feeling she might have preferred it if he had left her to finish whatever he had interrupted. He was looked highly exhausted himself, and very upset and impatient, his thumb rubbing nervously over his knuckles to signal he was upset, worried or scared about something, since those are the only times he did that.

"Who the hell-" But he let the sentance stop suddenly with a stern look of upset worry, he had interupted her in the training room.. even he had three cuts on his jeans and his top had been totally destroyed which was the reason he was only wearing his black singlet at the moment. So he could hardly expect any less from his sister, although he did register the scent of the Creed family on her, resulting in a mental note for him to have a word with them.

"I called your room and you weren't there and I got worried.." He knew how stupid that sounded, he often was the over protective brother but even that sounded a bit over the top. It wasn't like he didn't think his sisters couldn't handle things without him, it was just he wanted them to know he's always there for him, he didn't realize sometimes they had to learn to deal with things on their own. They'd been left on their own so often he didn't think there where times where that could actually be helpful for them.

"They.." His eyes closed as his right hand rose to his face, his fingertips touching his forehead just above his right eyebrow "They took Arisa." Now for Connor, this was his version of crying, it was too hard for him to actually shed tears, the time he was drugged aside he hasn't cried since their mother died and even then it was only a few tears and he had been very quiet, focused on listening to their dying mother. Sometimes he hated it, especially when everyone around him was in tears and he'd just been standing there so out of place, well.. Madison had been the same, but he was just glade that Arisa had cried.. at least someone of their family was able to at their mother's funeral. But even Arisa was a strong girl who bottled up her emotions, just not to the extent of these two.

"She was meant to come last night, she promised to come, but she didn't.." Connor had hoped she just got distracted with other things.. but then he had heard her howl so clearly with his hightened senses.. She had been in the school at one point, why didn't he know she was in trouble? He should have known and he should have been there for her! Connor looked a little frustrated as he walked past her, turning around and walking back to where he had been standing but now with his back to her, Connor had a tendancy to move a lot when he was upset. With an annoyed growl in the pit of his throat, he slumped his body down against the wall just below their mother's uniform, sitting with his back to the wall and pulling up his knees rather angrily.

"He was here Madi, he was IN the school," Maybe it was hard for Madison to understand what he was on about, but the instant he clentched his fist and stared at it she must have gotten at least a hint of who he was talking about. Connor's voice dropped greatly as he added quietly in a very timid tone "..I was so scared." He sounded almost astonished, as if he didn't believe what he was saying, which was easy enough to understand since after everything they had been through it took a lot to scare the stubborn Enright kids. And even if they where afraid they'd never admit to it, not to anyone.. possibly to each other, but never anyone else, it was a weakness they where told never to show anyone.

"But not because I thought he was going to take me again.. I hadn't seen you, or Arisa.. I thought he might already have taken you," Always worrying over his sisters made it hard for him to worry about himself until it was normally too late, it was a good thing they don't get sick ( cold's, etc..) otherwise Connor would have been in trouble "and then he said if I wanted to see Arisa again, I have to take a vampire called Angel to him." Connor didn't know a vampire called Angel so he stared up rather confused at Madison, still looking extremely upset "He said I have to go alone.." Dropping his eyes to his knees Connor added with an almost devistated tone "He said Arisa was hurt.." Connor had a habit of blaming everything upon himself when something bad happens to his sisters. Even if it was impossible for him to have done anything to help them, he still blamed himself saying it was his fault they where in trouble, he was their brother, he should always protect them from such terrible things.

Re: Sub-Levels of the Institute - The Medical Lab
"You expect people to believe all that?" Marc glared at Lauren, appearing rather agitated at the nurse who was trying to help him. The nurse had only been around for a short time, no longer then a few days, but she seemed to know Riley because she was telling him off every time he leaned out of her reach or shooed her arms away with a wave of his hand. Her name was Claire and she didn't get on well with Riley's girlfriend, Catherine, or Riley himself for that matter..

"A bunch of adolescent kiddies running around saving the world?" It wasn't at all like how Riley normally talked, usually he was very kind and gentle, he and Connor where best friends and he even ran his own team. He was always trying to help others and was even a tutor for the school, so the way he was speaking and glaring at everyone should be hint enough that there was something wrong with him.

"The government knows what this 'Xavier' is up to, and if he thinks we're going to sit around and let him build up his personal army of misguided and easily brainwashed teens, he's mistaken." It wouldn't be hard for some people to misunderstand what Xavier was up to, he did after all train mutants how to use their powers and they often went out on missions. The Initiative however was so concerned they had put Riley undercover here to check out what was going on, Riley had of course discovered that the Initiative was mistaken and Xavier was really only trying to help these people. But now all that had been forgotten to Riley who now was both a different person and a different personality, Riley and Marc may have the same body, but it was bluntly obvious just how different they where by the way he acted.

"I'm not afraid you, and don't even think you're keeping me here long, I'll get out of here, if they don't come for me first that is." He sounded as if they where keeping him against his will, and should Racheal just throw her mind back to when she was looking through those photo's, she would have seen his face since he was in at least one or two, one of which had been discussed, the team photo.

"And you lot better have a damn good reason why you let that lunatic kidnap me and bring me here, my superiors will not be pleased!" He glared rather angrily at Lauren as if he was blaming her for Catherine bringing him here from the
Initiative's base, adding in a louder tone "You won't get away with this!" Marc wasn't aware that only Catherine, Spike, and a small collection of X-men actually knew that he was previously part of the military group who handled non-human matters.. Mutants being placed in the 'non-human' category for the time being, though they where experts in demonic and other supernatural activities.

"Get the hell away from me!" Snapping at the nurse who finally gave up trying to help and walked off to the doctors desk in order to study his new vitals compared to his last trip to the medical room to see if there where any medical differences that might cause the alteration in his behaviour. Angrily Marc pulled his legs up onto the bed and wrapped his arms around his knees as he frowned and glared at the wall ahead of him, ignoring the medical supplies and other such things in his way. The more scared Marc was the angrier he got, and being alone in a room with three mutants, knowing there was at least one other outside and then a school of them surrounded him, didn't at all ease his mind. He was trained to believe they where all powerful and dangerous beings, not to be trusted and he most certainly was not meant to have any form of interactions with them. He was just a human, a very strong and chemically enhanced human, but still a human none-the-less. And right now he wasn't able to remember just how strong he was, so that thought wasn't much of a comfort to him at all.

Re: Sub-Levels of the Institute - The Medical Lab
"Who the hell-" There was no way of getting out of that. No matter how much of something was on Connor’s mind, if something looked the slightest bit wrong with one of his sisters he’d worry. She silently thanked God that he didn’t finish his question but it did seem to end with the look he gave her. She wasn’t sure what made him stop, it could have been a number of things. But it seemed if she had to answer the question, she’d be asking why his jeans had three claw marks in them.

"I called your room and you weren't there and I got worried.." Madison gave a roll of her eyes. Sure, she had left her communicator in her room before she went off to the Danger Room, but she had done that a number of times before, there was no reason for him to worry over her. However, as much as she didn’t like being worried over, she liked it. Madison wasn’t an attention seeker or anything, though some could argue against that, but she did like to know that her brother was there for her, that he cared for her.

No matter how many times Connor had told her that he was there for her, that if she ever needed help she’d only have to ask, it would sometimes slip from her mind, mainly when he spent time with Arisa. Even now, having had Arisa in her life for fourteen years, she still felt streaks of jealousy when Connor spent time with her. Though now she didn’t lock herself in her room, mainly finding someone to annoy, or take out an angered jealousy in the Danger Room, there was always at least one mutant who wouldn’t mind a ‘friendly’ spar.

"They.." Raising an eyebrow Madison thought that she was going to find out what had happened. A worried curiosity growing as her brother closed his eyes and raised his hand to his forehead. It had to be something bad to get Connor worked up like this. It may not have been tears, but it still meant the same thing.

"They took Arisa." Her face showed relief, not really the best of faces to pull when your only, living, family member you liked was in a mood like this, but it was only Arisa. Only Arisa. Even in Madison’s head it sounded harsh, you see over the most recent of months Madison realised that she had actually begun to miss the ‘blue freak’ that was her half sister. No one knew, not even Connor, since that would be the last thing for her to admit. She had spent time trying to cover the feeling inside her, but whatever she tried to cover it with didn’t work, so eventually she gave in, admitting to herself that she missed Arisa.

"She was meant to come last night, she promised to come, but she didn't.." A streak of jealousy flickered through her for a brief moment. The type of jealousy Madison felt when Arisa was spending time with Connor. But that soon faded as she pushed the jealousy aside for now, she wanted to know who had taken her. How dare someone take their little half-sister! Madison had only recently realised how much she didn’t like the fact she was living at the Brotherhood, though she often visited, after a long period of enjoying not seeing her blue fur everywhere.

As Connor walked, filled with frustration, past her, normally if it was someone else she would have turned around, but there was no need as he walked back. Another one of her older brother’s nervous and upset habits, which she knew of. With her ears still aided with enhance hearing she heard the growl loud and clear, she didn’t except much less from Connor. He had always tried his hardest to keep the three as family, since their father had never really tried, but one of his sisters would start up something that would ruin things. Most of the time Madison had never really realised how that effected Connor, she only wanted to keep on top of Arisa.

"He was here Madi, he was IN the school," A puzzled face showed that she didn’t understand who it was. Her lips mouthing out the word ‘who’, until her eyes widened as she followed Connor’s gaze to his clenched fist. The people who had added the adamantinum to her hands and her brother’s body, as well as drugging him, had Arisa! That actually made Madison want to go out and save her. Not only could there be revenge on them doing what they had to her and Connor, but if she did this she could prove that she was a good big sister. For the second time today Madison wanted to somehow show or prove to herself at the very least that she was a good big sister, once in the Danger Room and now. She had never felt like that before, but once she had overheard her little sister talking about her other older sister, Phoebe, who lived at the Brotherhood, since she was another of Mystique’s children, and telling whoever it was how good a sister she was. She had succeeded in being the worst sister, maybe now she could prove to be the best one. Though, with Madison’s personality, she could easily fling back to the worst sister at the sight of her shapeshifting sister.

"..I was so scared." Her eyes flared a little with surprise, as a reaction she looked down the hallway to make sure no one had overheard. The never admitted their fears to others, apart from each other. Madison remembered being told by her father not to show fear, so she didn’t, but since she used to always want to make her father proud she extended his advice into not showing many her other feelings as well.

"But not because I thought he was going to take me again.. I hadn't seen you, or Arisa.. I thought he might already have taken you," Seeing no one her dark brown eyes looked up to her mother’s suit, her ears hearing the words but not really registering it. If their mother was still alive she’d be able to help. She would have been able to make Connor feel better, even as devastated as he was, and Madison would have been able to tell her how she actually missed Arisa. Michelle Enright was one of those people you could always talk to, and she’d be able to offer the right advice or help in the best of ways. But she was no longer around, and Madison could almost picture her saying that she should help Connor as best as she could. It wouldn’t be easy, she wasn’t even ready to tell Connor that she missed Arisa, but she loved her brother. She could at least try to do this for him.

"And then he said if I wanted to see Arisa again, I have to take a vampire called Angel to him." Madison returned the confused look. If this was a year ago Madison would have just laughed talk of a vampire, not believing they were real. But when the vampires from another reality, Lost Angels, came into this one her thoughts changed. She knew of Spike, but a vampire called Angel? It sounded weird to think a creature such as a vampire would have such a name! If only she had gone with the rest of the Gold Strike Force and another group when there was the battle against Angelus, she might know something. Or if she had met her long lost cousin, Tasha, who was a Slayer and knew the vampire Angel personally. But fate hadn’t brought the cousins together as of yet. Why Michelle had kept it secret about having a sister was unknown, but her sister hated mutants and disowned her own blood finding out about Michelle, maybe their mother had been trying to protect them from mutant haters for as long as she could. Tasha herself didn’t even know of her cousins, though finding a family tree told her about her deceased Aunt.

"He said I have to go alone.." She frowned a little, that meant she wouldn’t be able to try and prove that she could be a good big sister and help save Arisa. Then again, since when did Madison obey what others told her?

"He said Arisa was hurt.." Giving a sigh, she stepped a little closer to her brother. He wasn’t even there, didn’t even know so he couldn’t have done anything to prevent her from being hurt. How knows, Arisa could have even brought it on herself, like she had caused Madison to hurt her many times before, mainly that was due to her doing the simplest thing wrong which annoyed her. But then again, it wouldn’t be Connor if he didn’t blame himself.

"He's probably lying, ya know. She could be dea-" She cut herself off, that wasn’t the right thing to say, especially to Connor, he had enough to worry about without having to wonder if Arisa was alive or not. And even for her, she missed Arisa and began her saying that she could be dead? Probably just a harsh reaction, something she has grown used to over the years. "She could be safe wherever they have her, without the smallest scratch on her." It was a pretty lame cover story, but hopefully that would have distracted her brother from what she was going to say.

"So the demon guy said you have to go alone and find some vampire called… Angel?" Shifting subjects, she became sceptical over the vampire. Was there any proof that Angel even existed, Cole could have just been trying to trick him, or bring Connor into some sort of an ambush. "Good thing I’m coming with you, then!" It may have sounded weird coming from Madison, an almost chirpy voice wanting to do something to help the sister she’s hated for so long. Hate was something times a harsh word to use on people, but Madison had a strong disliking towards Arisa since she was born, which grew into hate as the years rolled on, well, until recently when she realised she missed Arisa, but she wasn’t sure how she felt about her now. "You know you need me, what if the vampire lives in a small room?" A faint smile spread as she spoke, trying to cement herself in coming. Though, she knew no matter how small a room could be, Connor would go in it, despite his claustrophobia. He would for his sisters.

Re: Sub-Levels of the Institute - The Medical Lab
"Even so, it does seem very confusing." Lauren gave a nod, did things here ever make sense? Though, it was a difficult question for her to answer since she often caused strange things, unintentionally of course, without even knowing it!

"Seems like a relatively nice place though..." She smiled since she was also amazed of the place when she first arrived, though it was interrupted when she stumbled across an unconscious girl lying on the grounds. She helped her to the medical lab, not this one, the more commonly used one, with a boy called Toby, who had returned to his Dad’s home never really liking it here with his mother. There she had met the blue furred doctor known as Beast, who was also her Biology teacher. It seemed that not many got a normal start when they arrived at Xavier’s Institute.

"Yeah, it’s a great place," Though her only objection was that they didn’t have the Footy Channel that she had back home. It was bad enough being so far away from her home country and couldn’t go to the games, let alone not being able to watch them, though she had made her parents tape every game, win or loss, and send it to her for her to watch. When watching them she could be heard yelling at the TV when she was excited or angry with the game. She tended to scare people when she watched her Footy tapes. Though September brought peace since she was able to go home to Australia for two weeks, and watch the last two successful games her Football team, Geelong, as the seasn came to a close.

"You expect people to believe all that?" She was about to go on a little about Xavier’s though she wasn’t sure if Connor had told her stuff before, but she became distracted with Riley’s voice. She turned her head a little, to see his face glaring back at her. She didn’t know about Marc, or even heard about him, so she still felt confused about what was wrong with him, just thinking he suffered some sort of amnesia again.

"A bunch of adolescent kiddies running around saving the world?" Lauren felt awkward, she didn’t know what she could say, or do, that might help him change his mind. Truth be told, it did sound weird if you thought about it. But if no one else is going to help out this world, why couldn’t the mutants who lived here do it?

"The government knows what this 'Xavier' is up to, and if he thinks we're going to sit around and let him build up his personal army of misguided and easily brainwashed teens, he's mistaken." She gave a nervous glace over to Racheal. Hopefully this wouldn’t scare her, surely she would be smart enough to figure out that something was wrong with Riley. Not only was she nervous about that, but the fact he mentioned the government. She wasn’t sure how he knew, but what if they did know? There were many mutant haters out there, if they knew of what went on here they wouldn’t think twice over their decision. She pushed that away, if the government really know wouldn’t it be shown on the news or something? Unless they kept it all top secret… Luckily Marc continued before Lauren could get onto thinking about the Institute being closed down by a bunch of mutant haters.

"I'm not afraid you, and don't even think you're keeping me here long, I'll get out of here, if they don't come for me first that is." For a brief moment the luck mutant wondered how he’d actually find his way out if he escaped from the advanced med lab they were all in. It had taken her a while to get used to the main part of the building, she didn’t even really know her way around down here since she had always been with someone who had lived here for a long time. They all knew their way around.

"And you lot better have a damn good reason why you let that lunatic kidnap me and bring me here, my superiors will not be pleased!" … "You won't get away with this!" The glare was returned with a puzzled look as she felt the blame. Though, she didn’t feel sorry, after all she hadn’t even done anything. She just hoped that her team leader would return to normal and soon.

"Get the hell away from me!" She pitied the nurse, she was only trying to do her job but the strange man known as Marc seemed to like making it difficult for her. She glared over to him, though since he seemed to be glaring at the wall, he probably didn’t notice it.

"She was only trying to help…" Lauren finally spoke up after not really having a chance for the past few moments. She glanced over to Claire, wondering if she had come up with anything yet. "Riley, what’s going on?" As she spoke she eyed the distance between her and Marc, she wasn’t going to walk closer to the bed he sat childishly on. She was worried that he might do something, after all he had his girlfriend in handcuffs, who knows what he’d do to other people…

Re: Sub-Levels of the Institute - The Medical Lab
There was a clomping sound and a second later Cat emerged into the room, the loud noise was coming from her stone coloured cat boots. She hadn't bothered to tie up the laces again and it meant she had to kind of shuffle her shoes along rather than walking properly. If she kept on the way she was one day she'd fall over her laces and hurt herself, luckily her agility had managed to keep her on her feet more or less so far with the boots. It could only have taken her to tread on a lace when she was walking down stairs and she'd end up lying at the bottom with a broken neck. The look on her face was a mixture of apprehension, sadness and anger since she knew Marc was in the room, their last encounter ended up in him handcuffing her and dragging her about the institute with only a summer dress on.

Catherine had a grey laptop shoved under her arm and she was carrying it with the carelessness of someone who didn't know exactly how much it cost and probably wouldn't have cared even if she had. She was only coming down here because Angie had told her to come, but she'd rather have been anywhere else in the world, she hated Marc with every sinew in her body. The first time they met he'd ended up emptying a whole clip of bullets at her, however she was in one of the Iniative cells and as a consequence they merely bounced back off again.

She seemed to hesitate in her tracks when she saw the people gathered in the room, she'd been expecting it to just be her Riley and Beast, she hadn't been counting on an audience. She threw them a black glare for a moment as she stomped past them towards the bed where Riley was sitting. It was a good rule of thumb that if Cat was afraid she'd also be angry, having learnt to use it was a defensive wall to keep people from seeing any weaknesses she had. Underneath it most of the time she was afraid and confused since it seemed like she was always being put into situations she had no control over, Riley at least had always been the person who stood by her, who helped her and now she’d lost him again. Sometimes it felt like there was something or someone trying to keep them apart, their relationship had never been an easy one and she’d lost him before like this or more than one occasion.

Her feet slowed down as she approached the bed that he seemed to be sitting on, she'd missed his earlier outburst by a few minutes but he gave her a very mistrustful glare of his own. For the moment she hadn't noticed the pretty nurse who was studying the screens that were monitoring her boyfriend.

'Here ....' There was a pause while she unceremoniously dumped the laptop down on the bed in front of him, her eyes lifting to his, resisting the urge to yell at him, Angela had already told her not to shout at him. 'Angie wanted you to look at this.' She glanced back over her shoulder, noticing that most people in the room seemed to be staring at her, she glowered and looked away, tucking a loose strand of her golden brown hair behind her ear, hinting that she was nervous.

Cat backed a little away from the bed he was sitting upon as if indicating that she didn't care or not if he decided to look at the laptop or not. Her eyes wandered away, centering upon the young nurse, the look in Cat's dark eyes hardened in realisation.

'Oh it's you.' She managed to sound more than displeased with the fact that Claire was in the room. Cat knew more than well enough that the young woman in front of her was Riley's ex and therefore a threat to Cat since it was a position she know held. She looked back over at Marc, it had gone all confusing now though, she didn't think she was dating Marc since he wasn't Riley even though he was in her boyfriends body at the moment.

'What are you doing here?' Cat's voice hinted that she'd be more than happy too see Claire get electricuted by the keyboard she was typing upon. Or perhaps Cat could beat her to death with Riley's laptop, both images were quite appealing to her at the moment. Great so now her boyfreind, or rather her boyfriends body was going to be left alone in a room with that woman. What if anything happened between the two of them, what would Riley react like when he came back.

Catherine folded her arms and assumed her stroppy position, waiting for the pair of them to answer her. She wanted to know if Claire had found out what was wrong with him since the quicker they managed to get Riley back the better.

Re: Sub-Levels of the Institute - The Medical Lab
"She was only trying to help…" Marc scoffed indignantly at the remart as his eyes burned into the opposite wall, if they wanted to help him, they would let him go. "Riley, what’s going on?" There it was again, someone calling him that idiots name, Jon AND Catherine had both said Riley died back in the cells, they where all dumbly believing he was a dead man that no longer existed!

"Stop calling me Riley!" He yelled very angrily at Lauren, even if this was their first meeting, what did this freak think he was going to do, they call him Riley and eventually he'll forget he's Marc and pretend his a dead man? "I'm Agent Marc Lucas and if you think you're going to get away with this-" His threat was cut off as Cat stalked into the medical room, laptop under her arm and a look that only mad Marc that much more angrier.

'Here ....' What was this, a toy to amuse him while they kept him hostage? Staring down at the laptop as if the very fact Cat had touched it was reason enough to despise the item. 'Angie wanted you to look at this.' Did it really look as if he cared what others wanted him to do? But Cat backed away and Marc responded by turning hs face away from her, not that she was paying any attention anymore to him since Claire had gotten all of Cat's focus.

'Oh it's you.' The tone of voice she had towards the nurse caused Marc to stare over towards Claire and then at Catherine 'What are you doing here?' Rolling his eyes at the girl he was told was mentally insane due to stress and heartache from the loss of her boyfriend, Marc suddenly had the strongest desire to walk out of here. The fact Cat seemed angry there was a nurse in a medical lab just annoyed Marc too much. Claire however gave a simple yet almost sarcastic reply as she smiled sweetly while stating politely the answer to Cat's question.

"As the girl so corretly stated before to Mr Lucas here, I'm only trying to help." Claire didn't once look up from her computer as she worked, trying not to make it seem as if she was taking delight in seeing the rude girl in a foul mood.

"You don't understand," Marc seemed less angry now and more in need of making them all understand that he couldn't stay here any longer "..I have to go back, they need to administer my meds other wise I'll get sick and if I get sick then you'll all be in even worse trouble then you already are." Marc pouted sulkily as he glared down at his laptop, not aware just yet that it belonged to Riley and housed hundreds of short diary enteries. Marc didn't realize he was no longer given the drugs from the initiative, nor did he know what they did to him, but he did know what would happen if he didn't get them, and right now he didn't feel like having any of the withdawls that occure by not getting his does of meds.

Re: Sub-Levels of the Institute - The Medical Lab
Catherine made a low type of growling noise in the back of her throat though it was probably too quiet for the others to hear. She wasn't very good at keeping her temper at the best of times and she felt like this woman was patronising her. She fixed her dark brown gaze on the sweet smile Claire was displaying even though she hadn't bothered to look away from the computer screen towards Cat. It was a smile that reminded her of double chocolate fudge cake, sweet and sickly, they type you ate and then felt sick ten mintues later.

"As the girl so corretly stated before to Mr Lucas here, I'm only trying to help." Cat glared at her before making a harassed pft noise and turning her attention back to Marc who was still staring at the laptop.

"You don't understand," She raised one eyebrow at him, what didn't she understand? She understood a whole lot more about this whole situation than he did, at least she didn't think she was someone she wasn't. It was so hard to love someone yet hate them at the same time. She still loved Riley's body even though she detested Marc, she had to remind herself that both Angela and Spike had both told her not to shout at Marc since he'd turn back into Riley quicker if she wasn't yelling at him. "..I have to go back, they need to administer my meds other wise I'll get sick and if I get sick then you'll all be in even worse trouble then you already are."

'You're not taking meds anymore, you stopped months ago.' For a second she looked as if she was about to walk off but then seemed to change her mind and slumped down into a chair that was closish to the bed Marc was sitting on, her eyes turning to glare at Claire again. She glanced a quick look over at the others, she didn't really know most of them then her eyes looked back at Marc, he looked rather like a five year old who'd been slapped by his mother for stealing candy.

Re: Sub-Levels of the Institute - The Medical Lab
Normally, the feline girl would have raised complaints about her lack of control. But Racheal was abnormally pleased about it... this time. If she had been in control, her confusement may have made things out of hand. "Yeah, it’s a great place," Hearing the tone of Lauren's voice, her smile grew slightly, tips of her elongated canines showing briefly. This place seemed to be getting ticks in the mental pro column every minute, and so few negatives, though a new one was about to be added..

"You expect people to believe all that?" ... "A bunch of adolescent kiddies running around saving the world?" Sharp eyes turn to Riley/Marc as he spoke, wondering now. Although this man made a good point, he didn't exactly seem trust-able. She was just a little bit confused by the whole thing, after all, hadn't she seen his face before. Brow furrowed in thought, she wasn't yet certain if he could be telling the truth. After all, 'normal' people 'knew' that the world was controlled and looked after by governments, and it was only in the dreams of children that they were heroes. But then Racheal had very little normality in her life. As well as her mutation, she didn't exactly have a traditional life or childhood. Although young she could be quite tough when she needed to be, wise to the streets. She reserved her judgment for now, both on him and the school, though she still believed Lauren over this more threating man.

It was just as she placed Riley's face as that of one of the people in the photo's she had seen shortly before that her thoughts were interrupted by rather distracting noise. Her head turned as Cat entered, vaguely recognising her from earlier, remaining silent, having always found it to be the best way to be unnoticed which was what she needed right now. If the conversation before had gone unnoticed to her, this one was about to go over her head. The tension seemed to build as she listened quietly, happy to stay well out of the picture for now. Although she listened, she didn't even attempt to understand what was going on, instead letting her mind go blank as to rearrange those annoying puzzle pieces again.

Her eyes turned from one to the next as they spoke, lightly tapping the back of her right canine with her tongue, fingers of her left hand playing with the cross on her choker. She did wish now that she could have at least had some information, but even if she had, by now she would have most likely forgotten it. Briefly her mind turned again to the dinner hall, silently hoping her small bag was still there, if it wasn't and she couldn't find out immeaditly what happened she might just have to try tracking it down. She wasn't the greatest tracker, rarely using her canine morph she hadn't really had much practise, but she swore she would not loose her few possesions. Pulled out of her thoughts by someone moving, Racheal turned her head slightly as Cat sat down, flicking back yet another stray hair in silent annoyance. She really had to get herself a hair clip at some point.

"He's probably lying, ya know. She could be dea-" Lifting his head up instantly as she spoke, his eyes staring at her helplessly knowing he could stop whatever it was Madison was about to say.. and he knew what it was.. "She could be safe wherever they have her, without the smallest scratch on her." Letting his eyes fall away from her, he could help but think sarcastically to himself, sure she was safe, after all, what could possible harm her in that place where they drug and experiment on innocent people?

"So the demon guy said you have to go alone and find some vampire called… Angel?" But the tone in Madison's voice Connor knew that she, like him, figured there could be some form of trap involved in Connor heading off alone to meet the powerful demon "Good thing I’m coming with you, then!" Resting his head back against the wall, Connor stared up at Wolverette, he wasn't surprised, if Madison was told to go somewhere on her own he'd be trotting along right beside her. It was more the way she said it that surprised him, or more to the point, made him curious, she seemed willing to risk her life to get Arisa back with him.. it sounded odd because at three years of age Madison had tried to fatally hurt Arisa with her claws when Arisa was just born in the hospital. So from the instant Arisa was born Connor found himself caught between his sisters, and although Connor always hovered around Arisa, he never touched her, he was terrified that he'd hurt her with his claws, and he still has that fear. His fear of accidentally stabbing those around him meant he rarely touched other people, he didn't stand too close to them and it had been only when Arisa was 2 years old before Connor was brave enough to actually hold her. Arisa may have been a baby but both his sisters managed to even then have screaming matches. It was more like Arisa threw herself into Connor then he went up and gave her a hug, he was pretty sure Madison was more upset with him hugging her then with Arisa who had been laughing too loudly outside Madi's room while playing by herself.

"You know you need me, what if the vampire lives in a small room?" At that Connor gave a little smile as he sighed with amusement at the comment, of course if anyone else had said it he might have stared at them rather oddly, he was rather sensitive about his claustrophobia.. only really Madison knew of how serious it was for him, and Beast of course of had to talk with him after he fainted in the shower from the stress of the confined space.. Standing up, he stepped a little towards Madison, his eyes scanning over her face for a moment.

"You're right, with all your training before in the Danger Room, I now know if I can't beat him off with my claws, you might be able to subdue him with your lips." If there was one thing that Connor was pretty sure annoyed his little sisters, it was how he could pick up every little detail of scent that was on them. More then just the fact they had been with someone else, he could even know if they had been kissed, and needless to say, Madison had been cornered a few times by her curious brother. That is until he met Lisa Jones two years ago, he had never had a girlfriend, and he doesn't count Lisa as having been his girlfriend, he went out with her for just three weeks he had been really upset on their first, and last, date and still refuses to talk about whatever had happened, and since then he has slacked off on talking with Madison about her relationships. But that didn't stop him throwing a teasing comment or two her way.. and come on.. this involved a Creed, how could he not let her know that he knew she's been kissed by their family rival!?

"..I didn't know you and Shalimar where so close...." Connor trailed off, a teasing look in his expression before he got distracted with the hasty figure of Catherine Hall heading towards the medical room. Of course Connor figured it was the brother Creed that had kissed his sister.. or so he hoped, and truth be told he would have preferred if she went with someone else.. anyone else.. aside from Lachlan, but then again, it would kill their father to know a Creed had kissed his daughter.. this thought alone cheered Connor up slightly as he moved past Madison.

"Oh, and Madi, there's a new girl, things have been really strange, I think something's wrong with Riley as well, Cole might have done something to him too. So the new girl has been through a lot.. I really don't want to scare her any further.. could you be pleasant with her? Nice, sweet, charming.. pretend you're a character in a school play!" Again he teased her, but Madison knew he loved her just the grouchy, stubborn, rude and arrogant way she was.. Just as long as it wasn't too bad around the people he was trying to either impress or that he cared about or was friends with. He walked backwards a few feet, still gloating over the thought of her getting a kiss from a Creed, he could smell the lingering scent on her as strong as freshly cooked pie.

Turning about, Connor rounded the corner and stood at the door of the medical bay, close enough for them to slide open, but not daring to enter the room, he felt safer out in the halls. Staring over towards Racheal, Lauren and then Riley and Cat, Connor wondered how things where going, hopefully he could get Racheal settled into her room soon so that he could focused in finding this Angel vampire and getting his baby sister back.

"Cole said I had to find a vampire called Angel, since we don't know where he is I'd like to get looking as soon as I can, is everything going alright in here?" Hovering by the door, Connor could feel the uneasy tension in the air.. he was very glade Madison was out here with him, he felt so lost and confused right now so at least he knew with Madison there he'd have to remain strong, if only so he doesn't let her down again. She's seen him weak once, and he knew that had been very hard on her, but he was drugged so he couldn't remember much, he just knew he didn't want to put her through that again, especially since it involved Arisa and she was touchy when it came to things involving their baby sister.

Re: Sub-Levels of the Institute - The Medical Lab
Months? He hasn't been of his meds for moths, he had his injections just before when he was in the initiative, it only felt like a few short hours ago for him. Marc's hands rubbed his eyes for a frustrated moment as he tried to figure out what was happening to him. Ignoring the arrival of Connor, and ignoring the mention of a vampire Marc had studied extensivly during a Demonology essay he had to do a while ago in his Initiative classes.

Still frowning sulkily as he crossed his legs and continued to glare down at the laptop, his eyes soon moving slowly about the room to assess his surroundings.. possible weapons, route of escape, anything that might be dangerous and used against him. But he was in a medical room, there was equipment and pointy sharp things all over the place, Riley had a strong affection towards his lap top, so when Marc went to nudge it off the bed and have it smash down to the floor, he had hesitated and instead scooped it up into his hands and placed it on his lap. It was such an awkward silent but Marc liked it better then if someone was to speak, how come everyone thinks he is Riley, what's more they call him that as if they have known him for ages. Marc stared at Catherine, he didn't like her because she was always nasty to him so he'd be nasty back. But he didn't start being rude, he was sure it was her fault, it's always her fault, she's cruel and nasty, and being insane doesn't mean he has to deal with it.

It was a long while where he was simply staring at her, she was familure to him, but it was hard to remember things, when he tried it was like trying to remember a vague dream you had so long ago. But then he suddenly looked very upset, she lied to him, he remembered something she had said to Riley back in the cells of the base.

'You know your always Riley, just because they give you drugs .... and a gun and a number .... doesn't make you a different person.' '

"You lied, you always lie.. and they don't give me drugs.." His sounded a little unsure about the drugs part but tried not to make that sound too obvious "And what's so bad about and a gun and a number?" He stared at her obviously a little distracted with his own thoughts, staring now at the computer and then off towards the end of the bed he was sitting on.

"What are you going to do with me?" His eyes dropped down to the laptop quietly, seeming to lose the steam he had earlier, he just wanted this to be over with..

Re: Sub-Levels of the Institute - The Medical Lab
Cat's quick eyes watched as Riley crossed his legs, glaring down at the computer in front of him. He looked for a moment as if he was about to push the laptop away from him but at the last second he seemed to change his mind and pulled the laptop onto his knees. Her gaze lifted to his eyes only to find he was looking straight back at her. She was glad she was in a room with people who could haul him off her if he tried to hurt her in anyway.

She wasn't about to leave the room, she didn't really want to stay but if she did then she didn't have to go to lessons which was a big bonus for someone who hated class as much as she did. There was also the fact that Claire was here and if Riley didn't remember who he was then Claire might try .... she wasn't sure what Claire might attempt. Everyhting inside her was telling her to stay put, Riley was her property and if he couldn't defend himself then it was her job to do so for him. He belonged to her just as much as she belonged to him, thats what the rings signified afterall wasn't it? She dropped her eyes down from his to look at the band of silver that encircled her finger.

"You lied, you always lie.. and they don't give me drugs.." She made an annoyed face and rolled her eyes slightly at him, crossing her legs and running a finger of the rather shabby toe of her cat boots. She tucked one of the laces into the inside of the shoe not looking up at him as he talked. "And what's so bad about and a gun and a number?" Cat didn't remember their earlier conversation, they had had it six months ago so she couldn't really be blamed for such a thing.

"What are you going to do with me?" There was another annoyed expression that crossed over her face, after the way she'd been treated by him he could hardly expect that she'd want anything other than to lock him up as he'd done to her.

'Well I dunno.' There was a pause as she glared across at him. 'Maybe we should lock you up and threat you like your some kind of freak .... but if were feeling nice we might just put you of your misery, perhaps we should shoot you... afterall thats what was good enough for me.' No one but her, Spike and Riley or Marc knew what had happened back in the initiative and she hadn't really talked about what she'd been through.

Re: Sub-Levels of the Institute - The Medical Lab
At her comment Marc had raised his eyes and glared at her so hatefully that it took a moment before he even remembered there where others in the room, causing him to look away, his fists clenched so tightly for a short moment they had trembled faintly. It wasn't fair, he just wanted to get away from her, she was always so terrible and what’s worse was she was trying to tell him he was someone that she herself said she didn't like.

"Stuff you." It was a harsh whisper, loud enough for everyone to hear but Marc hardly cared about what they heard or not. Shoving the laptop off his lap, her swung his legs off the side of the bed and hopped off, turning around and glaring across at Catherine on the other side.

"You don't even like him! You said so yourself! He was your friend, you weren't his, you don't like Riley, you don't like the new one you don't like the old one, you don't like him, so leave me the hell alone!" He was very angry now, she was putting with through all this pain and all this trouble, telling him was someone she cared about but he knew from her own words that she cared nothing about Riley Finn, she had said so herself at one point.. he was dead.

"I hate you! I tried to be nice, I'd give you food, you through it at the glass, I offered you a book, you insulted me, I wish I let that boy take you away, I can't believe I hurt myself to help you, I want you to leave me alone, if you hate Riley so much why the hell are you putting me through all this!?" His hand grabbed at the pillow on the bed and threw it at her, though it had only hit her in the knees "You couldn't even stay with him when he needed you!" When he said that he had been referring to the time she had brought him back from the initiative without any memory of his past, and then she left him, she promised never to leave him alone and she just turned away and disappeared for 6 months.

"You're selfish, cruel, stuck up and arrogant, you expect others to be nice to you while you stuff them around and do your best to mess everything up!" He began raising his voice more angrily and accusingly towards Catherine "You don't know how to end someone's misery, only how to start it!" Maybe she needed that boy to take her away, the one who Joan had sent to get her, maybe she needed someone to hurt her, just so she knows how painful it was.. she hurt everyone else around her, it was only fair she gets hurt as well.

Re: Sub-Levels of the Institute - The Medical Lab
"Stuff you." Was that it? was that the best comeback the 'top Iniative opperator' could come back with? She could be smug in the knowledge that at least she was safe here in Xaviers and there was nothing Marc could do to hurt her here, not with a room full of people. Anyway she was an adgility mutant if she wanted she could just dodge out of his way and he'd never keep up with her if she ran off. He just couldn't face the fact that he was wrong and she was right.

She watched him get to his feet and look across at her, she could tell he wasn't finnished, he was probably going to give her a lecture now. She looked grumpily away at the other people in the room and then back at the toe of her cat boot.

"You don't even like him! You said so yourself! He was your friend, you weren't his, you don't like Riley, you don't like the new one you don't like the old one, you don't like him, so leave me the hell alone!" How dare he say that!! He didn't know or understand anything about her and Riley and plus it was nothing to do with him so she couldn't see why he was getting upset about it. She loved Riley, it was as simple and uncomplicated as that and Marc had no right to question it. Just because he had the same body as Riley didn't mean he was Riley therefore he should keep out of their relationship.

"I hate you! I tried to be nice, I'd give you food, you through it at the glass, I offered you a book, you insulted me, I wish I let that boy take you away, I can't believe I hurt myself to help you, I want you to leave me alone, if you hate Riley so much why the hell are you putting me through all this!?"

'You're the one who tired to hit me.' She snarled getting to her feet and facing him across the room, not afraid of standing up for herself even though she was half his size and he could have easily snapped her neck if he managed to get hold of her.

She watched as he threw his pillow at her, rather like a small child who hadn't got his way about something. She let the pillow hit her legs since it couldn't do anything to harm her, but once she looked up you could see the anger radiating from her eyes as she looked at him. It seemed he wasn't finnished ranting on since he drew breath to keep yelling.

"You're selfish, cruel, stuck up and arrogant, you expect others to be nice to you while you stuff them around and do your best to mess everything up!" Her hands seemed to have balled up into fists at her sides as she glared at him. "You don't know how to end someone's misery, only how to start it!" It was almost like the final straw for Catherine who only had a short temper at the best of times.

'Look why don't you mind you're own business for once.' She seemed to draw breath, almost as if she was trying to make herself look taller and more intimidating. For your information I love Riley and everything was going brilliant untill you had to come back and ruin everything.'

She took a couple of steps closer towards him and continued to rant on at him raising her voice as she talked. This wasn't particularly good for her already damamged throat.

'I hate you, you've never been nice to me since you met me, you're the one who agreed I'm insane and I'm so sorry if I find that offensice. I've never tried to hurt you and what you did to me this morning was inexcusable so don't you bloody stand there and judge m...' She had to stop there since her body seemed to be racked with a coughing fit. She put her hand over her mouth, drawing it away seconds later, looking down at a few tiny drops of blood upon her palm. She rubbed her hand over the material of her jeans so no one could see the blood. Her throat was beginning to hurt again, she swallowed angrily a couple of times to try and ease the burning sensation.

Cat: Do you think I should go back?
Nina: Cat.. he's only a man.
Cat: You don't understand...

Re: Sub-Levels of the Institute - The Medical Lab
The only thing Marc saw when she started coughing was a chance to interrupt her, caring little for her damaged throat and even less about the fact she was in pain, in fact, if he had known how terrible and serious it was or could be, he’d probably feel better.

"Love him?" Marc scoffed angrily, but then his voice had a malicious calm to it as he continued "Did you 'love' him when you abandoned him?" Marc went suddenly very quiet and a little surprised for a moment but then he flared angrily as he yelled out at Catherine. "I don't want to talk with you any more!" It was strange, remember things and knowing they weren't your memories and yet that the same time they where.. He could vaguely remember some of Riley's now and the more he seemed to yell at Cat the more terrible things he could remember her doing, so if he just ignored her then he might not remember anything further. So instead, like a spoiled child refusing to hear the demands of his parents, Marc turned his back to her and cupped the palms of his hands over his ears to signal he was going to ignore everything further she said to him.

What if she was doing some sort of mind trick with him, what if they weren't his real memories and she was doing this to him, why couldn't she just leave him alone, he shut his eyes tightly as he blocked out all the sounds around him. Maybe this was all a terrible nightmare, maybe he'd wake up and he'd be back home in the base, he missed Cassie now, she had been nice to him, she had made him feel better when he was alone and scared over not having any memory, Cat just made him feel worse.

"You where the one who told me you didn't like him.." The thought slipped grouchily from his lips without him realizing he had said it out loud until it was too late, but it was true.. He had tried to ask her about Riley while she was in the cell, he asked if they where friends, and she had said 'maybe he was my friend but I wasn't his', so Marc couldn't be blamed for thinking she didn't like Riley, she didn't seem to go five minutes without saying something negative about the guy.

Re: Sub-Levels of the Institute - The Medical Lab
"Love him?" .... "Did you 'love' him when you abandoned him?" That hurt! She hadn't meant to go off and she'd apologised to him more than once for what happened and whats more her apologies had been accepted by him and they'd put it behind them. This wasn't really going the way she wanted it to but he seemed to be able to get her back up really easily without trying hard.

"I don't want to talk with you any more!" She watched furiously as he turned his back to her and put his hands over his ears, really this guy seemed to have the mental age of a sulky five year old. She was about to screetch -fine- at him and stalk out of the room when he spoke again.

"You where the one who told me you didn't like him.." She glared at his back, her fingernails digging into the palms of her hands as she clentched her fists angrily.

'Will you just stop it, what happens or has happened between me and Riley is nothing of your concern so keep your god dammed noise out of my life.' There were bright tears in her eyes but it appeared she wasn't about to let him fall, she wasn't going to let him see she was upset or that his words were hurting her at all.

Re: Sub-Levels of the Institute - The Medical Lab
"Hey!" There was only so much bickery he could take and he had his does from his sisters, he didn't need to hear other people snapping at each other as well. Connor's stern voice easily showed how displeased he was about all this, he was frowning, but seemed not to even attempt to enter the medical room.

"Things must be hard enough for Racheal without you both snapping at each other in front of her." This was very upsetting, and Connor wasn't one who enjoyed telling others off, but it appeared they would just stay at each other's throats until someone put an end to their squabble.

"Now, since I don't think it's possible for you two to get to your room in one peace, Madison and I shall escort the both of you there." His voice was very calm, yet had an edge of anger on it, no one seemed to care about his sister and only about themselves and their private little wars. "You both will remain quiet for the walk, Riley, you are restricted to you room until you stop being so agressive towards others, is that clear?" His eyes left the couple to show clearly he wasn't giving either of them an option in the matter, his blue gaze settling on Lauren and Racheal though there was a more more calmer and friendlier look about him now.

"Lauren, Racheal needs a room, would it be too much to ask for you to take her to one of the spare guest rooms until I have the time today to get her a proper one in the girl dorms?" It seemed he still had no intentions on entering the lab, that was until he noticed Riley didn't appear to be moving from where he had rooted himself and was still covering his ears. Connor glanced about at doorway as if studying some form of barrier that blocked him from the rest of the group inside. It wasn't right that his best friend was about to make him enter a lab when Riley knew full well how terribly Connor reacted to these labs. His hands left his side and again his thumb stroked over his knuckles as he stared apprehensivly towards the taller and older boy. With a frustrated noise in the back of his throat that possibly only Madison would have heard, Connor stepped uneasily into the room and hurried over towards Riley moving around the bed and stepping besides Riley.

"Riley." There was a pause, which Connor quickly took the chance to focus on his breathing before he continued "This way please." Motioned for Riley to move over towards the door, which he did very reluctently, much to Connor's impatients since the Wolverine was dying to get out of the lab. But as Riley ventured outside, Connor built up the courage to stop and turn slightly to look back at Catherine, he dropped his eyes to the ground for a moment before timidly stepped back towards her, everything around him felt as if it was caving in, threatening to crush him and everyone else in the room with him.

"Hey.. don't let whatever he says hurt you, everyone knows Riley loves you, you're all he talks about, remember everyone has two sides of their personality.. This sounds like Riley's angry side, and people say things they don't mean when they're angry, so whatever he says, just remember he's not our Riley who's saying it." Whether it had come out the way he intended or not, Connor wasn't able to stay around and see if she understood what he was trying to say, he had spun about and hurried out of the lab, his arm wiping across his forehead nervously for a moment as if wiping away sweat.
