(OOC: soooorry!! I've been away over the weekend and now I'm ill and... well.. I'll try to catch up to everything, promise!
btw, it's your turn @SD, Lady )
The constant sound of voices finally woke Kane from dreamless sleep. Those things that had happened just a few hours ago seemed to be close enough to touch and yet nothing but distant memories. Adding up to that, the weather powered mutant found his memory acting... strange.
Dreams, things he recalled and senseless visions, everything merged, became one oddly shaped mass which was his life at the moment.
Opening his eyes, the first thing Tempest saw was Murray. He couldn't help but wonder why it was him of all people to sit at his side. Didn't they have some kind of silent agreement not to care about each other?
"What happened?"
It seemed to be the right question to begin with. After all, he had no clue which part of what he thought to have experienced belonged to reality and which was nothing but fiction his delirous mind had made up.
Kane tried to get up and finally managed to do so, however, he was unable to suppress a flinch as a feeling somewhere between pain and something indefinable struck him. Apparently, he was not hurt... so what was the reason for that?
The picture of him shattering repeatedly entered his mind from a spectator's perspective and lacking a better explanation, Kane decided to accept it as true until someone told him differently.
"Who am I?"
the whisper was not directed at anyone, more to himself. He still knew his name, knew were he was and could guess which parts of this mess in his mind might belong to his past but still... some things seemed to be too abstract to simply be products of his imagination. He wasn't that creative! Life can be like a stone thrown in the sea. It creates waves, maybe changing something, maybe not, but no matter what it causes, every single wave will disappear into nowhere...
Re: A Whisper in the Mind..
Tessa watched as Arlen took the glass back from her, catiously lifting it to his lips. She watched as he drank and was about to rise in worry as she watched him cough and the glass in his hands slip slightly. His grip tightened around it though and Tessa sighed in relief.
Her relief turned to curiousity as she saw the small puddle in his hand and his left hand hovering over it strangely.
"No, I can't," Tessa managed to say, slightly stunned at the water swirling in his hands. Yet as she thought about it how extraordinary was it? Was it really any more strange than her own wings or her ability to talk to animals? She watched as the water swirled into a minuature replica of her and smiled slightly at the image. Like many faeries beauty from nature brought her a sort of happiness that material objects or manmade beauty never could. The water sculpture was certainly near the top on her list of beautiful nature objects, probably just behind the ice sculpture of Lord of the Rings she had seen when she was younger at a competition.
His smile was fading though and hers did too in concern. He'd made something beautiful, couldn't he see it? She wouldn't have to wonder for long what was upsetting him though as he began to speak just then.
"It was like a dream.. a cruel dream, one which refused to allow me from its grasp.. I should be punished for having tried to harm you, an act such as that should not be forgiven.. I had no right.." he said.
"It wasn't your fault and while some wouldn't forgive you I do," Tess said with conviction. "Maybe it's just a part of my race but I forgive rather easily so long as the hurt isn't permanent. I know you'd never hurt me willingly, not now."
"Hey..are you okay?" the faerie asked gently as she saw the expression of hurt and nerves upon the merman's face. She knew that what had happened was not truly his fault at all, even if he didn't and she wanted to help him more than anything.
She was interrupted just then though, the train of thought broken slightly as Kane awoke nearby. Murray, sitting nearby the waking mutant, couldn't exactly say he was thrilled to see Kane awake and yet he wasn't dismayed either, somewhat of a new sensation for him really. It was rarely that Murray ever didn't dislike someone. Tessa was one of those few people, her and a couple of the teachers. For a moment Murray found it almost comforting to have another person he didn't have to call his enemy, even if it was Tempest.
That feeling quickly disappeared and the relief he had been feeling partially evaporated at the look he recieved from Kane. Well while tempest wasn't on his list of the top ten most hated people Murray seemed to be on the weather mutant's list. Not exactly the greatest wake up gift.
"You were asleep," Murray answered simply with a touch of bitterness and bluntness. He didn't feel like giving a full answer, he was moody and perhaps he had a right to be really. Everything in Lost Angels weighed heavily on his soul and he wasn't sure how to move past it. Until he could all that was beneath the surface was bitterness, regret and a paralysing fear for what he could become.
"What? Oh no way, I don't do amnesia," Murray said with a harsh laugh. It was his way of hiding his worry, which strangely enough he was feeling, even towards the mutant who obviously didn't care for him in return.
"You're Tempest, figure the rest out by yourself," Murray replied bittingly, hoping that Tempest would remember somehow or that the question had been one sick joke.
Lionel Luthor: Lex, your brother will never change. I’ve watched him over the years and the boy’s a sociopath.
Lex: And I wonder which side of the family he got that from.
Re: A Whisper in the Mind.."No, I can't," Neither could the others back in the lab who he had shown this to, he wondered why he could do it and no one else could, what made him so different? It was strang, he did find the watery element very pretty to play with, but he wasn't sure what kind of uses he would use this power for.
"It wasn't your fault and while some wouldn't forgive you I do," But it was his fault, he wasn't sure why he did it but he did, and it was hard for him to remember what exactly had happened but he was still upset over it.
"Maybe it's just a part of my race but I forgive rather easily so long as the hurt isn't permanent. I know you'd never hurt me willingly, not now." What race was she? Was he of the same race, he some how didn't think so, he didn't really know what other races there where, and she didn't feel like the other type of people he's been in contact with.
"Hey.. are you okay?" Her attention however shifted over towards Kane, Arlen's bright blue diamond eyes turning over to watch the mutant child as well.
"You were asleep," It was strang, Arlen could really 'feel' the bitterness, the dislike and he could almost feel the fear in the boys words as if they where an echo of his own feelings.
"What? Oh no way, I don't do amnesia," Arlen looked back at Kane and then at Murray who had a very unpleasent sound of laugh.
"You're Tempest, figure the rest out by yourself," Arlen didn't understand what amnesia was, all he knew was that the boy was rather cruel towards the white haired mutant. The merman looked over towards Beast as he focused on the blood sample with utmost determination, it wasn't a familiar drug, and it seemed to be breaking down, making it harder for him to study.
Arlen was getting colder, his arms folding over his chest as his tail swayed away from his stomach, the water from the glass spilling onto the floor and the cup rolling a short distance across the ground as his tail let go of it. He wished that other boy was being nicer to the one who had just woken up, his tail flicking about slightly behind him and not noticing the spilt water he had dropped onto the ground.
"I’m just rather surprised your not afraid of me…" Arlen stared down at the ground, he wasn't afraid of her.. whoever she was, he wanted her to come and find him. Or maybe he wanted to find her, he shook his head as he closed his eyes, one of his hands reaching for his face before pulling away quickly as he looked over towards the window.
"Would you remember me?" That was Arlen, and she had agreed, hadn't she? He was sure.. she'd have to, he didn't remember exactly but he was sure she would still remember him. If he fould her then she'd be able to tell him who she was, he shifted about beside Tessa, looking back at the door to the Med Bay. Arlen's icy cold fingers touch Tessa's arm lightly to get her attention, he wanted to find the one he kept remembering, he wanted to find her now.
"She said she'd remember me, I want to find her, I want her to tell me what she remembers, how do I find her?" Although he was becoming uncomfortably cold, he didn't care, he just wanted to find this girl, maybe she was important.. maybe if he hurried he could find her before the pain got any worse. His eyes glanced overtowards Murray and Kane before looking back at Tessa, would she know how to find someone in this large world, so many people he had seen and passed, how can you find just one in the sea of faces?

Re: A Whisper in the Mind..
As Tess told Arlen she'd forgive him she saw the flicker of curiousity across his eyes at the mention of her race and had to admit she was a little surprised herself. She had figured he knew, maybe it was just faeries who could sense something supernatural about a person though. Perhaps it had nothing to do with merpeople and they never sensed any such thing.
Tess watched as he turned to the former rip van winkle of a mutant and spoke. Silently she vowed to show him her true form later, once they were out of the med bay and he had calmed down a little. The last thing she wanted was ro upset him or initiate a repeat attack.
She felt his icy fingers on her arm and shuddered from the cold. There had been alot of that lately for some inexplicable reason. Maybe it was a faerie thing, some sensitivity to temperature that hadn't kicked in until now or perhaps she just got cold very easily. Yet somehow Tess didn't think she had been so cold at the school ever before and wondered if it was just the strange sense of forboding she was getting that made the academy seem so fridgid.
Arlen was speaking about someone, some girl who Tess didn't know. Tessa thought to herself wryly that she was glad she had taken journalism in school for the five w questions seemed to come up alot these days.
"Who told you this? I'll try to help you find her but I need to know who she is first," The Faerie told him softly. She wondered if this time she'd recieve a true answer or if his memory here too was useless.
Lionel Luthor: Lex, your brother will never change. I’ve watched him over the years and the boy’s a sociopath.
Lex: And I wonder which side of the family he got that from.
Re: A Whisper in the Mind..
If he knew more about her then he wouldn't have to ask how to find her.. alright, maybe if he told Tess everyting he could remember.. Arlen's hands rested over his sore stomach as he thought, then closed his eyes to help picture the image of the girl.
“I’m just rather surprised your not afraid of me…”
"I'm not afraid of her, she was kind as are you, such wondrous things should never be feared... but forever admired and cherished." He opened his eyes and showed her the hand that had been wrapped after his bone claws had cut through his skin. These where from Arisa, so when he first saw them he didn't understand what had caused such wounds.
"She was hurt here, like this and... and she helped me after my.. my tail..." He stared down at his legs as if remembering for the first time that he ever actually had a tail, the thought was kind of frightening, how can one forget so many things?
"Blue.." He mumbled as his tail swayed into his view.
"This is her tail.. mine does not look like this.. I am sure it doesn't.." He was obviously confused about his ability to alter parts of his body much like a shape shifter.. it'd take bit to get used to that idea again.
"My name? My name is.."
"Deko.. Deko has came for me, he says father is mad and wants me to return... the upper worlds are forbidden and he will not permit me to return here.." Now Arlen was talking completely to himself as he was remember bits of the conversation he had a week ago. Who was Deko? He couldn't picture a face for the name..
"I ran away.." He still didn't remember much, but he was remembering more and he knew he ran away from his parents because he was getting ill.. he wanted to return to the upper worlds.. this world, where he was now. This wasn't his world? That would explain why he found so many things so hard to understand..
"I ran away from them and now I don't know how to get back to the palace.. have you heard of it? Would you know how to get back there.. it's a big palance.. made of stone I think.. it's very lonely in there." It was his fault, he shouldn't have left his home but he did and because he left the safty of his home he was captured by Belthazor. The Royal merman looked about for a moment, he was getting so tired and all he wanted to do was fall down and curl into a ball and sleep so that when he woke up all of this would have just been a terrible dream.

Re: A Whisper in the Mind..
The faint sound of an oddly familiar voice echoed in the young mutant’s pointed ears, animalistic hearing having no trouble picking it up even through the door, as she ran down the hallway leading to the med bay, the blue fur that coated her feet, and most every other part of skin, muffling the sound of her footsteps to the point that they were almost silent. Her long demonic shaped tail of a deep night blue lashed back and forth nervously behind her, enough so to probably whip into the skin of anyone in it’s way.
Let him be ok…let him be ok…
The hairs on the back of her neck pricked as she moved slightly, her blue hand wrapping around the cold surface of the metallic doorknob. She had been so overwhelmed last time she had seen him, so flooded with emotions she was unable to think straight. She was sure she had acted a fool…
She pushed the door open slowly, her emerald gaze quickly flickering almost urgently over the room’s occupants, before falling on the merman, his tail of the same darkened blue as hers, standing out against his tan skin.
Arisa: “Arlen…”
She muttered softly, her tail coming to a complete stand still behind her, curled lightly at the end, her eyes and face coated with such a meddle of emotions it almost appeared callous with confusion.
Re: A Whisper in the Mind..
The sound of the door opening caused Arlen to very nervously glance over towards it, he didn't want one of those elders to come and get him, he wasn't feeling well and that white fringed one had yelled at him last time. The merman's head tilted slightly to the side as the blue furred mutant entered the medical bay. His eyes dropped down to the tail that was parcially obscured by her legs, her dark clothes altering her appearence slightly from when he had first met her.
Slowly Arlen looked away, but when he glanced back she was still there, did that mean she was real? Who was she.. he shifted slightly close, as if perhaps moving too fast might make her disappear like the distant voices that enchoed in the depths of his mind. His bright diamond eyes raised up to her deep emerald ones, very timidly his arm rose, his fingers reaching for the soft blue fur of her cheek. She didn't feel like all the others, she had a softer silky texture due to her fur, soon the palm of his hand resting on her cheek in awe of the fact she was real.
It was easy to feel the icy cool touch of his trembling hand, his other hand quickly reaching for her other cheek just to make sure she was here. The finger tips of the Princes hands remained on her cheeks for a moment, his stomach hurt so much, it was burning, he didn't like it.
"Have you seen the palace? It's a very big palace.. very lonely palace... I don't like the palace.." He whispered very quietly, acting not at all like how he had when he first entered this world. Beast had looked over towards the new arrival, the missing student from over a week ago..
"Arisa! We've been worried!" He was very surprised to see Kurt's little sister, but didn't pay any attention at first to Arlen's behaviour towards her.

Re: A Whisper in the Mind..
Arisa had been pulled into a hug once, maybe twice by her father, possibly more by her older brother Connor, and probably never by Madison. Physical contact was something that had rarely befallen her, so as the merman timidly stepped closer, raising his hands to her cheeks, she felt shivers jolt down her spine from the odd sensation of another’s hands on her face and her tail give a jolty twitch. Straight locks of sandy hair cascaded down over his hands and her cheeks from behind her pointed ears, her eyes gazing into the diamond blue of his with an almost worried expression, he looked ok, he was moving fine…
"Have you seen the palace? It's a very big palace.. very lonely palace... I don't like the palace.."
Arisa’s eyes took on an almost glazed expression as a memory violently forced itself to the front of her mind…
There was a little girl standing in a park beside a small boy, she was blue, with a long demon-shaped tail, but the little boy wasn’t afraid…
Have you been to the institute? It’s very big, and very lonely, but there are lots of shadows to play with so I don’t get sad…
MICHEAL! MICHEAL GET AWAY FROM THAT MONSTER!
“Arisa! We’ve Been worried!”
She was jolted back to the present by the surprised tone of Beast, seemingly not to have noticed the merman’s ice cool hands softly resting on the sides of her face.
“Sorry…I didn’t mean to worry you…I just…”
She muttered softly, not bothering to finish her sentence, as she glanced over to the scientist momentarily, but her eyes were quickly drawn back to the soft diamond gaze of Arlen, the worried expression once again etching her features. He was ranting…something was wrong…
Re: A Whisper in the Mind..“Are you alright...?” No, he wasn't, couldn't they tell? He tilted his head and turned partially to look back at Tessa, the mutant felt different to how Tessa felt, just by presence, not by the fact one had fur and the other had skin. He didn't realize he was sensing Tessa's supernatural presence, but he flicked his tail as he stepped away, taking a single tiny step back from both of them as he slightly lost his balance. His hand rested over his eyes for a moment before the sleepy gaze of the merman drifted back towards Arisa, his hand shifting to the side of his head. Of course he wasn't alright, he's forgotten everything, anyone he's ever met, anyone he's every cared about, anything he's ever done or seen, they've all been lost to him.
"I had to leave the palace.." He inched closer to the mutant, lowering his voice and dropping his hand over his chest, the palm resting across his heart.
"I grew ill, father yelled, mother weeped.. I can hear them, why must he always be so loud? They keep calling for me to return but I don't know how.." He leaned closer so he could whisper a secret, even though it was easy for Tessa to hear, perhaps not the others on the other side of the room though. It was so hard to remember things, and what little he did where like distant dreams of a past life that just didn't seem real.
"The demon took away my thoughts.. I don't remember.." His hand dropped from the smooth tanned skin of his chest and began to rub absent-mindedly over the needle marks on his arm. He stared down at the floor, then slowly looked back up at Arisa before letting his body drop backwards, falling down to the ground with a thud, though it was obvious he had done it on purpose. His tail flicked slightly as he drew his knees towards him, leaning forward and resting his body against them, his hands wrapping around his legs as he closed his eyes.

Re: A Whisper in the Mind..
She watched silently as his hand’s chill touch left her face, and he took an unsteady step back, his hand resting over his gaze momentarily before he turned his sleepy gaze once again back to lay on Arisa, his had shifted to the side of his head. She felt the worry still etched deeply on her features, her tail still curled at the tip, laying without motion down past her waist, unlike it’s usual position of flicking around her torso and shoulders. She almost felt herself moving forward towards him, but his lowered tone spoke up first as he inched towards her instead, his hand dropped over his heart,
"I had to leave the palace.. I grew ill, father yelled, mother weeped.. I can hear them, why must he always be so loud? They keep calling for me to return but I don't know how.."
He was whispering now, leaning close to her as he spoke. She felt the hairs on the back of her neck prick once more at his words, her emerald eyes filled with confusion as he spoke, pointed blue ears awaiting the next string of words as he drew another breath, her own breath held within her chest…
"The demon took away my thoughts.. I don't remember.."
She didn’t pay any mind to the movements of his hand, her eyes wide with shock at his words. His eyes stared sleepily down at the floor, then slowly drifted back up to her own. He fell back with a thud, causing Arisa to jump sharply with surprise, her eyes wide as she leapt down beside him, wrapping her blue coated arms around him, his eyes closed and his knees drawn up against him. Panic caused the deafening sound of her quickened heart beat to pulsate loudly in her sensitive ears, her embrace tight as she gazed with still shocked concern at him, her voice almost paniced as she spoke, forced calm woven into her tone,
“It’s alright...It’ll be ok…”
She cooed words of attempted comfort into his ears softly in a whisper, her tail lashing out unnaturally violently at the still air behind her.
It was a very alien feeling to be held, and for a moment he sat slightly confused, Tessa hadn't held him like this, or any of the others when he was ill, why was she? She was very kind.. he felt a little better with her assurence.
“It’s alright...It’ll be ok…”
He could hear her tail lashing about, whipping through the air, feel the soft fur of her arms, he leaned slightly into her embrace, he didn't want her to let go.. His head rose partially, looking ahead of the wall and blinking, he didn't want to go back home, but he didn't want to stay away either. Was this her.. was this the girl he could remember sometimes, she was blue.. and she had the tail like the one he remembered her having..
"Can't they see? I want to be more like myself, not like them, I can't be like him, I'm not him, I am myself.. but I don't remember who I am.. do you remember?" Maybe she was the girl, she was the angel he remembered, the one who pulled him from his world. He had asked Tessa to help him find her, did Tessa bring her here for him? Or did she hear him calling and come for him.. angels could do that couldn't they? Hear the pleas of others.. was she going to make him feel better? His stomach knotted up worse then before, he groaned slightly as his arms pulled his knees closer against him for a moment before one of his hands left to rest over one of her arms that where around him.
He looked back at her, then at the fur on her cheels.. it was her, he was sure of it, without those cuts, with out the wounds on her hands, without the sadness.. but she was concerned.. for him. His diamond blue eyes shifted from her cheeks to her own eyes, she did act as if she knew him.. his head tilted slightly to the side before leaning even closer to her.
"You're the Angel... my enchantress.. did you hear me? I called and no one came, Belthazor yelled at me and said I was useless, I don't understand what he meant..." He dropped his voice very quietly, still having troubles remember exactly how he had first met her, just glimpses of their meeting. He didn't like the others in here, he didn't know them, expect for Tessa, she was nice, he didn't mind her..
"Are you going to let them take me away again? Because I left and then when you where gone, terrible things kept happening to me.." If she left him would Belthazor came and get him again, or would the elders here that Tessa took orders from yell at him again and punish him. The blonde haired girl may not wish him to be punished but that didn't mean her elders wouldn't want him to be punished.. would Arisa let them punish him?

Re: A Whisper in the Mind..
She felt his hand lift up partially, and lean slightly into her embrace, the strange feeling of the contact sending an odd feeling throughout her. His skin felt smooth, far unlike her own coat of blue, and her ears now picked up his soft breathing as well as her own. The almost violent lashing of her whip-like tail slowed as she calmed slightly, majority of the panic from him falling deliberately back and speaking so oddly replaced with concern. He leaned into her, not away like she had grown so accustom to, most cringing at her touch…
"Can't they see? I want to be more like myself, not like them, I can't be like him, I'm not him, I am myself.. but I don't remember who I am.. do you remember?"
Maybe he wasn’t afraid of her, but what he was saying didn’t make much sense, except for the end…how could she forget? No other had spoke of her the same as he did when she helped him from his watered world, not as a demon, but as an angel.
She felt his arms pull his legs closer to him, and a groan escape his lips, her arms still securely around him, if not more so in reaction to his appearent pain. A small tingle ran through the area as he layed a hand over one of her arms, the still alien feeling of physical contact ringing her sences. She felt his eyes on her again, looking over her face and cheeks in an odd way, as if expecting something to be there…
His gaze of iced diamond flickered back to her eyes, and she felt her tail give a jolted swish as he leaned in even closer to her, her breath catching in her throat slightly, awaiting his words through the sound of their heart’s pulsating,
"You're the Angel... my enchantress.. did you hear me? I called and no one came, Belthazor yelled at me and said I was useless, I don't understand what he meant..."
His voice was dropped quietly, reminding her that they were not the only ones there, and that the other’s eyes were probably just now prying at the backs of their heads, trying to hear or understand. She blew off the feeling of being watched, her tail giving a rather relieved swish gently past her shoulder. So he remembered her, but the way he spoke of her, it was so strange…
"Are you going to let them take me away again? Because I left and then when you where gone, terrible things kept happening to me.."
Take him away again? She tried to make sense of his words, still holding him close comfortingly as best she could without growing to nervous from the contact. Terrible things? Demon taking his thoughts?
“I…I don’t understand…but I will try to help you if I can…”
She spoke in a whisper, matching his own quiet words. She wasn’t sure she could do much to help, but as her tail slid up to touch his wrist gently, this time it’s meaning known to her, and a protective feeling washed over her, she was positive she would give all to keep this angel safe from any that threatened it.
Re: A Whisper in the Mind.."I…I don’t understand…but I will try to help you if I can…" The feel of her tail curling around his wrist comforted him greatly, the merman's eyes closed as he ignored the approaching footsteps of Beast, who knelled down beside Arisa, placing a gentle clawed hand on her back very lightly. It was getting late.. and perhaps it was better to have Arisa get him somewhere more private so he didn't feel so uncomfortable around all the stangers.
"Arisa, since he seems more comfortable with you, perhaps you could take him to a guest room where he can rest for the night." Arlen's fingers remained curled around Arisa's arm, his tail twitching aggitatedly in discomfort with Beast's close proximity to Arisa. The merman curled slightly more into Arisa's embrace to his deep away from Beast's presence, his tail slithering around and finally resting lifelessly on the ground, a simple flick of the very tip being the only movement every now and then.
"Arisa, have you met him before somewhere? You seem to be familiar with him." Arlen continued to ignore the fact the feline doctor was so close to them, staring now down at his fingers as they moved off Arisa's arm, the trembles in his hand spreading to felt even in the very pit of his stomach. He didn't like this, he didn't like how he was hurting and he didn't understand why it was happening to him. And even if one was to explain about the drugs A.Corp had given to him he still wouldn't understand.
"Arisa your friend seems to be suffering withdrawals from a drug given to him by the same group that had taken Madison and Connor the other week, anything you can get him to tell you may be of great importance to us." At Beasts words, Arlen let his fingers rest back down on Arisa's arm, his eyes closing once again. Connor and Madison where taken by Belthazor, that's what Tessa had said, so that must be the truth then.. and Belthazor had lied to them, to all of them. A shiver ran continuously down his spine, he wanted the shivers to go away, because they hurt, and his stomach was getting worse, the tiny bursts of pain growing with more force.

Re: A Whisper in the Mind..
Arisa turned he head up as the sound of the doctor's footsteps reverberated inside her ears, her emerald gaze pulled from the merman's form to meet Beast's as he leaned down close beside her. A gentle clawed hand on her back caused her no discomfort as she had always remained on good terms with the feline, but much to her dislike hadn't gotten to know him much outside of classes.
"Arisa, since he seems more comfortable with you, perhaps you could take him to a guest room where he can rest for the night."
She could feel Arlen curl in closer to her, as if to slink away from the doctor's form. She caught a glimps of his tail twitching in agitation at what she suposed was also the amiable feline. She pulled her arms protectively in cloer around the merman, her pelt of fur brushing against his skin, sending small tingles through her arms. A few strands of dish-water blond brownish hair strewed over her features as she turned to look back to Beast,
"Arisa, have you met him before somewhere? You seem to be familiar with him."
She turned her consentration from is question to the merman in her embrace as Arlen's fingers moved from her arm. She could faintly feel trembles rippling through the form pulled in close to her, and didn't bother to shift her mind back to answering Beast's question before he has spoken again,
"Arisa your friend seems to be suffering withdrawals from a drug given to him by the same group that had taken Madison and Connor the other week, anything you can get him to tell you may be of great importance to us."
For one of the first times in the past few wedks the words "Madison" and "Connor" slipped through her ears without notice as she instead layed her thoughs on the merman in her tight embrace, his fingers resting back down on her arm, the tremmors throughout him seeming to increase dangerously, his figure shivering in her arms...
"Thanks Mr. Macoy, I'll take him to a guest room till morning..."
Arisa leaned her head back down to the merman curled close to her, the gentle frip of her tail around his wrist still there as she spoke to him in a soft, quiet tone,
Re: A Whisper in the Mind..
Nothing could hurt him here, it felt as if just maybe.. if she held him tightly enough.. maybe she'd drive away all the pains, stop the shivers, bring back his memories.. He had asked if he could walk, he wasn't really sure what she was asking him, did she mean if he could move? He only gave the slightest of nods in reply, he wasn't sure, but he'd try.. he'd try anything for her. He probably wouldn't have been able to stand if Beast and Arisa hadn't helped him to his feet, but his fingers refused to let the soft feel of Arisa's arm slip from their touch. As soon as Beast let go of him, he leaned back into Arisa's embrace, his face hiding away on her shoulder, the end of tail swaying from left to right.
His arms snaked their way around her and his clenched fists rested shakily on her back as he used her to help keep himself balanced while at the same time standing on his own. He began sinking down and Beast quickly grabbed hold of him before he put too much weight on Arisa, a whisp of air rushing out between his clenched teeth much like a hissing sound. Standing o his feet again, his tail whipped about almost as if to ward off the intruding doctor, Arlen's eyes only now slowly opening as his hands shifted to Arisa's shoulders.
"..Not falling." He mumbled almost without much thought as a statement that he was alright now, although he wasn't standing his full high, slightly crouched forward as he rested his hands on her shoulders since he was still hurting and the shivers made it hard for him to stand, he just wanted to curl up onto a little ball again and be left alone with his Angel taking care of him and making sure no demons found him again..

I may belong to the sea, you may belong to the land
But Arisa, can you not feel it? Our hearts belong together..
Re: A Whisper in the Mind..
Arisa shifted her legs beneath her, bare feet and legs sliding over the tile, and pushing her upright. The mutant bent her knees slightly to help her steady the merman, the minute Beast let go his figure leaning back into her, his face burying into her shoulder. A shiver flickered through her as he snaked his arms around her, but the sensation faded as her knees bent further to balance the merman's shakey figure. The doctor's help being all that stopped her from falling back under the weight of the merman's form as he began to sink down.
A hissing sound slid from clenched teeth, much as she would have growled, his tail lashing out as if in warning to the large feline. His hands shifted up to her shoulders, standing more on his own now, as if determined not to require Beast's aid again,
"..Not falling."
Her ears picked up his softly mumbled words, and she nodded to him gently in acknowledgement. Her tail had slid from his wrist without her notice in the struggle to balance, and had now taken to waving softly behind her, giving a rather jolty flick as she spoke to him again quietly,
“I’m going to take you to a room where you can spend the night…”
It wouldn’t be but a few hours before the sun illuminated the brotherhood through cracks and holes in the roofs and walls, and her mother and sister would wake, expecting to see her there…
Her emerald eyes flickered up to the face of the merman who was still leaning on her lightly for support, she could still feel the shakes and tremors through his touch, he was in pain...
Re: A Whisper in the Mind..
His head just cocked ever so slightly to the right as he listened to her say she was going to take him somewhere, he looked back towards Tessa as if to make sure that was alright. He looked back at Arisa, his bright icy bue eyes dropping their gaze downwards as he waited for her to take him where ever she wanted him to go, he wasn't really sure where he'd be kept..
But Arlen had assumed that Arisa would be staying with him so he wasn't going to complain, he didn't want to be on his own, he didn't even think that he was going to be left in a room on his own. Even back in A.Corp he stayed with others, the merman flicked his tail once again before allow his hand to leave her shoulder. He swayed slightly and made sure to keep a firm yet gentle hold of her hand with one of his hands and his other resting on her shoulder again.
He looked back towards Tess, taking one last glance at the fairie before he shut his eyes and inched closer to Arisa for both comfort and balance. He wasn't sure if he wanted to sleep.. he was exhausted, and it wasn't only the drugs that where making him tired, but the fact it's been a while since he slept and he's done a lot of walking since then and he wasn't used to walking. He wasn't sure how to respond to Arisa, so he just remained quiet, he didn't care where he went, as long as he wasn't alone, he wouldn't like that..
Waiting patiently, trying to keep all his attention on remaining standing, his knees weak and jittery, he hoped he didn't have to stand long, he didn't want to fall down with Arisa holding him still, he might hurt her. He would try very hard to remain upright, he wanted to show her he could do it, without help from any others, he doesn't need their help.. he didn't mind Arisa or Tessa's help, but no one elses right now.
