She felt his body push her and his arms pull her back down to the sheets again, she could hear his snagged breaths in her ear. She didn't have to be afraid did she? Because Riley was here for her, and whatever happened he'd take care of her, she hoped it was going to hurt again like it had before. As he settled lower upon her she felt his lips against hers, his hands around her, pulling her reassuringly closer to him. One of his hands moved to the covers beside her, she could see his fingers tighten upon it, her eyes moving upto his. Her arms wound around him once more.
Her position shifted under him slightly as she began to feel something more than simply him inside her, his head tucked into her shoulder again. There was a sort of supressed kind or murmur in the back of her thoat as he moved inside her. His body was quickening the pace at which he was moving, she wondered how he knew what to do, not realising that it wasn't something he was conciously deciding to do, his body had taken over for him.
'Riley!' She whispered his name again, but this time it wasn't pain induced but there was still a flicker of fear about it, she didn't understand what she was beginning to feel but she knew she didn't want it to stop, her hands wrapped more securley around him. He was pressing deeper into her and although it was a very odd feeling it was by no means unpleasent anymore. Her own body began to react a little more to him, her hands slipping down to rest around his neck.

Re: Spending the Night Together
Looking from where he was hiding against her shoulder, seeming to find a strong comfort in holding her close to him like that. He turned his head slightly to look at her, his lips moving over to gently touch her cheek, the warmth of his breath stroking against her skin. Taking in a deep breath, he closed his eyes, wanting to kiss her but pausing for a moment while his other hand shifted from beneath her to lie beside her, his finger tips gently stroking the hair just above her ear.
"I love.. you.. so much.. Catherine.." His lips hovered over hers as he spoke, lightly kissing her, seeming to have to take a small breath or give a gentle kiss between every word or two. The hunger in his final kiss seemed to slow the motion of his body, wanting to try and steady himself as best he could and not hurt her. But the hunger his lips sought after was in no comparison to what his body seemed to be screaming for. As muffled groan slipped through his throat, his lips pulled away from her, his eyes opened, their bright gaze peering down at Catherine before lowering his lips to caress the soft skin of her shoulder once more.
Re: Spending the Night Together
Each time he moved she felt more, her hands moving from his back, to his shoulders and finaly down to the tops of his arms. Her fingers closing around his arms, her grip suprisingly tight though her small fingers made little indentation in his skin.
She could feel his lips pressing against the hollow of her neck, his other hand moving from under her back to lie on the sheets next to him.
'I love.. you.. so much.. Catherine.'
Something of what she was feeing could be seen in her eyes now, a sort of befuddled kind of passion. She didn't know what to do but to pull him close to her again, her lips finding his broad shoulder.

Re: Spending the Night Together
There was a flinch in his arms, both hands gripping onto the covers just beside her, he wished he could hold her.. but he knew he'd hurt her if he tried. His eyes shut tightly, his jaw tense as his body seemed to stubbornly demand more then Riley thought he could do. Sometimes the sensation in his body grew so overwhelming that he just felt like yelling out as if that might release some of it. But he kept his mouth firmly shut to stop such a thing, a soft strangled groan or quick breath the only sign of the struggle he was having.
That feeling he had before.. the one before he had to stop, it swelled inside of him again, one of his hands releasing their death grip of the covers and gliding down the left side of her body. His hand seemed to quickly return to where it had been holding the covers before, his body rising slightly off hers, every muscle in his body felt so painfully tense when he moved. But his body seemed to want to get deeper inside of her, he wanted something or needed something so desperately right now. But he didn't even think, all he knew was that in this heated moment of passion he had to give her all his strength, no matter how tired his body may be growing he hand't even notice it.. he had to give her everything he had left.
It was strange.. so.... strange.. doing this to her.. looking at her.. it was as if she was seeing a part of him he would never have wanted anyone to ever see. He's never seen anyone looking at him like she was looking at him.. but then he's never done this before.. but still.. the fact it was Catherine that was looking up at him like that.. How could Max and Forrest and all those other guys speak of this moment so openly.. this was so privet.. Riley would barely get a word out if he was asked about this, he'd blush so furiously..
His cheek gently moved against her own as he seemed to try and dip deeper into her wonderous body, his breathing now matching the rythem of the motion in his body. His eyes slowly closed, if only they could linger here forever.. if only they never had to leave.. if only tomorrow never had to come.. tomorrow and all the pains that would come with it.. if only this moment would last a life time..
Re: Spending the Night Together
Her hands wrapped more securley around him as what she was feeling grew. It partly scared her, she felt like it could overwhelm her if she wasn't careful ... but then maybe she wanted to be overwhelmed? She pressed her own face into his shoulder, her short sharp breaths hot against his skin, she heard him groan softly into her neck.
She felt one of his hands glide down the length of her body, as his body lifted slightly from her. Her back instinctivley arched off the covers towards him, her darker semi-confused eyes stared back up at him, her mouth open slightly. She still couldn't belive this was happening, she could understand why her friends had boyfriends now, if they did this.
His cheek rested against hers, his breath warm in her ear, her arms clung to him like he was a rock, as if she wasn't sure what would happen if she let go of him right now. She could feel something building up inside her, her head pressing into the ressurance of his shoulder for a few minutes, she let out something of a supressed strangled mewl, her eyes closed.

Re: Spending the Night Together
Her grasp was so firm on him, he never wanted her to let go of him, and it just struck him why Forrest and Max always made fun of how Riley refused to do this for so long.. Catherine was making him feel so.. there was no word, amazing just wasn't strong enough. All these years he has been missing out on something everyone around him seemed to have felt, but even if Riley knew with perfect clarity what this would make him feel.. he still wouldn't have wanted it done any other way.
He's always felt different around Catherine, always wanted to watch over her, ever since he first read her case file, then he met her.. He wanted to try and help her settle in, then he lost her, he had to save her, then he saved her and was taken from her. It hurt so much being away from her and he was so drugged it's amazing he still felt that emptiness that had swelled within his soul.. Then he found her again.. then they took his memories and he lost, why was it so difficult for him to hold onto her? Why where people playing with his heart like this, she was everything to him, what right did they have to keep tearing them apart?
His lips lightly traced over her silky smooth shoulder, his forehead soon resting over it, but then something changed, something was wrong, it was different and he wasn't sure what and he didn't like it. He didn't like this change, he didn't want anything to change, why did it have to change? His head pulled away from her shoulders, but he couldn’t move away because she was holding him so tightly. Why was he scared, was he doing something wrong? What if he was? His fists where almost pale white with all the strength he was putting into grasping the covers. His heart began racing even faster, pounding with a look of uncertainty, though he tried his best to hide it in case Catherine was looking at him, he couldn't really tell because he was avoiding looking at her eyes for the moment.
But nothing was happening, the feeling was getting stronger.. maybe he was just getting tired? But just as he thought that, just as he thought he could continue enjoying the feel of her skin against his, something so alien to him happened that it caused Riley to instantly let out a panicked gasp before he seemed to hide his face more firmly against her shoulder. The death grip his fingers had taken slowly loosened, he felt so weak, his breath gently stroking against the skin of her neck. He felt that something had left him.. something warm had passed into Catherine, seeped into her against his will, he was too tired to move and too worried he had done something terrible. But the strangest thing was.. it still felt.. wonderful.. would Catherine be mad at him? For whatever he had done to her.. would she be mad.. would she try to push him away.. he was so weak, he could barely find the strength to even move his arms so he could hold her.
But he had to.. he couldn't stay like this, he'd crush her with his weight if he lost his strength to support himself over her, but all he could do right now was wrap his arms around her. His heart was beating so fiercely into her own chest, his own weight once again being fully supported by his arms, one had now slide itself between the covers and Cat's back, his left hand moving to the side of her head, the palm resting against her soft hair. Back in his town, most of the couples paired off and started their own families around their twenties, it was fairly common, so the idea of protection would have never occurred to him.. especially since no one has ever sat down and talked with him about this.. unless you included the snippets of info Forrest would blurt out, but even then Riley had a habit of ignoring him.
It seemed to take a moment before he could find his voice to say anything.. and all he could think of was how alone he might feel once he withdraws from within Catherine.. what would it feel like to be on his own once more.. to not be part of her..
"..I love you Catherine.." It's like he could say it a thousands time and not once grow tired of whispering such words to her. He seemed to snuggle his forehead now against her cheek instead of her neck, his soft whispers gently gliding from his lips on tenderly warm breaths that would stroke against her skin as his lips hovered lovingly now against her cheek, softly stroking against her warm skin as he spoke.
"You are the one I love.. you are the one I'll always love.." He didn't understand how he so easily went from panicking over one thing to speaking soft words of affection into the tenderness of her skin. How can he stay in panic though? ..With her in his arms.. after what she had just made him feel.. how could he ever be afraid of anything again.. how could he have lived for so long without her in his arms like this..? The affection in his touch was easily felt, the exhaustion and previous act of passion leaving his eyes with a loving softness within their depths.

Re: Spending the Night Together
She hadn't known she could feel so much, he seemed to fill her every sense, invading every part of her, he was making her feel things she hadn't even realised were real. She was just glad that he was here, with her, the whole time and it was his arms that were wrapped do protectivley around her, pressing her to his body.
Cat felt him pull slightly against her shoulders as he lifted his head, as if he was about to pull away from her, but she closed her arms tighter around him. She could feel his heart racing in his chest, it pounded through the wall of his chest and into her skin. Her eyes lifted to his, his eyes avoided hers though, she wondered if anything was wrong.
She pressed her face into his neck, her breath snagging in her throat, hearing his panicked gasp. The next moment she felt the passion she was feeling suddenly spiral out of control.
She surfaced from a haze of passion a few moments later, feeling the reassurance of his body against hers, her breathing was still fast, her forehead dotted with small beads of perspiration. She could feel his arms around her, his breath warm on her skin. She felt completley drained, the cooler air of the room, touching her hot body making her shiver slightly.
'I love you Catherine.' It sounded weird ... to be called Catherine instead of Cat, the words got her attention as she opened her eyes and looked up at him. It felt strangley reassuring to hear them whispered to her. She lifted her head to kiss him before it dropped back to the covers once again.

Re: Spending the Night Together
The sweet tender kiss that gently pressed against his lips helped give him a soft boost of strength.. the will to holding her close, to softly pull her body more protectively into his embrace. His hands then took hold of the cover, slowly and gently pulling it from beneath Cat's body, a moment of shifting their position so he could get it out from under them. But there was a pause, obviously needing a break to recover, but then he slowly rolled onto his back, carefully holding Catherine so lay a top his body. His arms supported her as he moved his head back against the pillow, his hands now pulling the cover up closely around them.
The warmth of their bodies refusing to allow any of the cool air to drift uncomfortably close to them, Riley's arms still holding her slender frame that was now hidden beneath the covers. Being a single bed, it would have made sleeping side by side rather difficult, but Riley honestly did prefer cuddling up to her rather then being alone off to the side. His eyes where so heavy.. his body so weak and tired.. but his mind was so active with a thousand thoughts, all of Catherine..
Riley had been staying up at the ceiling for a moment, but slowly his eyes found the top of Catherine’s head, he wanted to tell her how much he loved her again.. he wanted so much to know she understood with perfect clarity that he - Riley Finn - was deeply in love with her.. And he wanted her to believe.. he wanted to know that she believed him without a doubt.. believe every word that he said to her..
His fingers seemed to lovingly stroke against her skin where he held her, but slowly his fingers lost their life, his breathing fading into gentle rise an falls of his chest. The bright eyes that he was so proud for having now that he knew they had Catherine’s affections, slowly disappearing behind his closing eyelids. The beating of his heart slowing, growing calm within Catherine's embrace, his mind still stubbornly insisting on telling her how strongly he felt towards her. But his screaming thoughts came out as yet more whispers, drowsy and soft in tone.
"I want.. to hold you forever.." The entire speech his mind worked feverishly to put together went wasted as the young man drifted off into his sweet dreams.. losing his struggle to stay up.. to lay there and hold her.. watching her sleep.. But then again, didn't he have a life time left to watch her sleep beside him?

Re: Spending the Night Together
He pulled the covers from under her, lowering her body gently back down onto the sheets. She couldn't wait to take him back to Xaviers, she wanted so much to just be able to tell everyone that she was dating Riley, he Riley had chosen her, Catherine Hall over every other girl. But then had he? he couldn't remember much, maybe he only liked her because she was the only one there. She felt a fierce rush of protective pride, well she'd just have to convince him that she was someone he'd want around.
She felt him roll onto his back, pulling her ontop of him, he was still inside her, but she didn't care, she'd rather he was. The warmth of the covers making her exhausted body and mind drowsy. Her head was lying on his chest, she could feel his heart beating, could feel it slowing down to a more normal rhythm.
'I want.. to hold you forever.' A small smile crept over her lips, her eyes closing as she gave up the struggle agaisnt sleep, happy in the notion that he'd still be there when she awoke....

Everything was cold and dark, the moonlight was barely able to cast a bright enough blow to light his path, most of the silvery ball being hidden behind whisps of black clouds. Riley was wearing his stealth gear, he always liked this uniform better thent he combat army patterned one. His black clothing seemed rather ordinary, save for a sleek black breast plate he wore over his chest that protected his torso.
He could rasping breaths from all around him, the sound of heart beats echoing through the air, he was in a yard or park of some kind, slowly moving past bushes, his eyes always looking.. seeking for something he has lost. There where voices, he raised his hand gun slightly, moving towards soft whispers. He moved aside a low hanging branch, stepping out into the clearing where a group of girls where gathered. His eyes looked over Lisa, Dawn and Angela, what where they doing? He moved towards them, lowering his weapon.
"Riley? I thought you went home." Angela turned to face him, Lisa wouldn't look at him, her face was covered in scratches and bruises. Dawn glared at him, he wasn't sure what to say, how to explain he was out on assignment to them.
"We know Riley, Catherine told us." Dawn's voice caused more of a chill to run through him then the cool air, he only just realized Catherine was standing just across from him in the group. She looked very upset with him..
"You just left them? How could you just go, after everything that's happened you just leave them.." He wanted to explain to her, he didn't leave, Joan took him, he did want to stay.. wanted to stay beside her until she woke up... But his words where caught in his throat, his eyes darting from his father to his mother as they stood folded arms behind Catherine.
"He leaves everyone." His mother agreed with Catherine, why where they ganging up on him, he had orders to follow, couldn't they understand he'll get into trouble if he doesn't get on with his assignment? Catherine seemed unable to look at him any more, he stepped towards her, his fingers reaching for her chin, trying to guide her eyes to meet his.
"You're going to leave me Riley.. how could I ever love you.. you're just going to leave me like you left all the others." He shook his head, dropping the weapon in his hand, his arms now pulling her close against him, how could she say this? He never wanted to leave her.. how could she even think he'd be able to survive without her?
As soon as he began kissing her, the taste of her warm mouth within his own, driving all the cold from the air around them, everyone else seeming to disappear along with the chill. Her arms wrapped around his neck, his own arms now pulling her up against his body, her legs wrapping around him as the passion in their kiss grew. Suddenly he was laying her body down on the bed, her eyes looking up at him as he began moving inside her, soon lowering the rest of his body a top her so Catherine could hold him more firmly with her arms.
::::
With a soft groan of discomfort Riley began to slowly wake, as soon as his mind was woken with the brutal force of reality, his eyes shut tightly as one of his hands instinctivly withdrew from the warmth of Catherine's figure and pressed lightly against the right side of his head. He had strangled the urge to yell out or make any further signs of discomfort, trying to steady his breathing once again.
His hand pulled away, his eyes staring up at the ceiling, his fingers moving back to the strange feel of warmth and comfort he had over him. But there was someting else that was different.. he felt so.. complete. Shifting his position slightly so his bakc was resting more supportedly against the pillow, he froze for moment as his eyes closed...he was still inside her.. was this real? He might still be dreaming.. no.. the lingering pain was definatly real, but he quickly pushed aside the cruel feel that echoed in his mind and focused solely on the beauty that laid upon him. His hand moved to the softness of her cheek, his fingers gently stroking over them as if making sure she was really there.. that she was really real..
His lips touched her forehead, he wasn't overly shocked about the implant going off.. it always woke him up, at least he wasn't yelling and bleeding.. that was lucky, he would had dreaded Catherine waking up to his yell AND his blood.. But he had more important things to think abut then that right now.. his smile grew warm as he let his lips press softly against her forehead once again, already drowning her in his affections.
"I love you so much." The soft whisper of his voice most likely went unheard by the still sleeping beauty, but he didn't care.. His arms wrapped more securly around her, obviously not at all worried over having woken up with in pain.. he was just too used to it now. But he didn't care anyway, he had Catherine, he loved her.. nothing would ever matter as long as he had her.

She blinked, her eyes closing again against the dim light of the room, she groggily wondered what time it was and for a moment where she was. She remembered, her eyes opening and staying open, she was lying wrapped in Riley's arms along side him, one of her own arms was closed about his waist. She wanted to stay like this, she wanted him to wake up, but she didn't want to disturb him from his sleep, he looked so peaceful.
Her dark eyes flicked over to the door of the bathroom then back to his face, loated to leave him for even a minute. She moved her position slightly, realising at the same moment that he wasn't inside her anymore, a sudden sense of loss rushed through her. Her lower body ached and protested at the movement, she let her breath hiss though her teeth as she moved as if to pull away from his arms and pushed back the covers partly.
She blinked, her eyes widening slightly in horror, there was blood on the sheets, she glanced down at her legs, it was smeered down them as well. She let out a strangled choke and pulled herself hard from his arms, her hands reaching out and snatching one of the covers from his bed, clutching it to her frame, backing away from the bed as if it might jump up and bite her. Why was there blood? Tears springing into her eyes, threatening to fall down her cheeks.

Re: Spending the Night Together
The sudden loss of warmth that he had felt all night caused Riley's drowsy eyes to open once again, his heart skipped a beat. She wasn't in his arms, his hand moved out as forced himself to sit up in a panic, maybe she had just rolled over, but she wasn't in the bed, her standing figure soon quickly catching his eyes. His hand reached for the wall as he stared at her with confusion, as if balancing himself.. but seeing her didn't ease the panic or worry. Why was she crying? She woke up and burst into tears.. god, did waking up in his arms make her cry. Riley's dulled sense of pain made it hard for him to realize just how much protest his body was giving to being forced to sit up so quickly, or that all his muscles where sore.
He was upset now.. she was standing there as if he did something terrible to her, as if being with him.. having touched him.. having had him inside her.. as if it was all so foul now that she was awake. His eyes dropped to the covers to look away from her, for the first time seeing the blood, his mind struggling to realize that blood was a bad thing.. Maybe he was having a nightmare.. maybe if he closed his eyes he could open them like he had done earlier when the chip woke him and he'd had her in his arms again..
Wait.. maybe the red was making Catherine upset.. because the red was blood.. and blood was bad.. it was bad because.. because it was hers. What good was a soldier if they where not trained to ignore blood, what good where they if they simply broke down when entering a scene full of blood.. they where demon hunters.. there was always bound to be blood..
His eyes moved back over to Catherine's, she was upset.. his feet slid off the bed, he didn't want her to be upset.. he pulled himself up to his feet, moving towards Catherine. One thought struck Riley that almost tore him apart - he hurt her. He simply stared at her for moment.. as if waiting to see how she'd react to him standing so close.. he was still confused.. scared that she was disgusted with herself for having loved him. Moving towards her a little more, his head lowering gently against her forehead as his hands rested lightly on her arms.
Suddenly everything seemed to click into place, Riley's nursing instinct instantly re-taking control over his years of Initiative training and clearing the thick fog of confusion clouding his eyes. His arms carefully wrapped around her, one holding her lower body and legs while the other supported her back and rested her upper body against his chest. He lifted her up slowly, it felt uncomfortable.. moving his body, it seemed stiff and sore, but his dulled sense of pain made it rather easily manageble.
Was she hurting? Was she sick.. was she still bleeding, was this normal, was this a bad sign? What could he say? He moved into the bathroom, he moved into the shower, standing in there with her still wrapped in the blanket. Gently he lowered her down, his hands slowly removing the blanket.. if she wanted him to do any of this.. or if she was resisting him.. he couldn't focus enough to realize either one. He rather absent-mindedly tossed the blanket out of the shower, unusual for him since he'd normally have folded it and place it neatly on the bench beside the sink.
As he turned on the water, the wamth pouring down upon them instantly, the palm of Riley's hand found itself lightly against Catherine's cheek. He was staring down at the white floor of the shower, a red tint in the water that hurried down the drown. He hurt her.. he did this.. it was all his fault, if he hadn't made the offer.. if he hadn't told her how he felt.. if he hadn't been inside her.. it was all his fault..

Re: Spending the Night Together
'Why is there blood?' She said sounding tearful, but it was hard to tell if she was indeed crying because of the water from the shower.
She took one tentative step closer to him, pressing her head against his chest, her arms snaking around his chest, telling herself that everything would be alright as long as she had her arms around him. The hot water pattered down upon her shoulders, upon her smooth skin, washing away the blood so that when she tore her eyes from his front and peered down it was as if she'd imagined it. But her body was still gently protesting at her moving, she was alright now, the blood was gone.
Her eyes flicked upto his, seeing his own hair matter to his head, his eyes looking down worriedly at her, she wanted to say something, but what ... what did you say to someone you'd just experienced something like she had with him. She didn't think 'good morning' would cut it, she could see small droplets of water running down his face, his neck, over the smooth taught skin of his shoulders.
She could feel desire flickering through her again despite her fatigued muscles, she let her hands curl up around his neck, guiding his face down towards hers, her lips finding his, feeling water run from his face onto hers as she did so. Her lips which started off quite soft became almost eagre as she shifted her body so she could press herself against him
She couldn't wait to get him back to Xaviers, she wanted to show him to Dawn and Angela and Lisa, everyone. They already knew him but she wanted to show them, everyone, that she was good enough to be considered to stand by his side. That Riley wanted her next to him, he was a straight A student, he was good at everything and handsom and he wanted to be with her!! But she remembered that he didn't know any of it, he didn't know she had trouble reading and writing ... but he didn't need to know did he? Anne and Roger didn't know she found reading hard and she lived with them. He'd think she was really stupid wouldn't he, maybe he thought she was really bright ... well she wasn't. She couldn't do maths, she'd rather do writing than that, reading was even worse for her though. And it was hard enough that everything around her involved reading, magazines and leaflets and signs, she could usually get away with not writing much but reading was all around her.
She remembered back in the holding cells, before he'd remembered who she was again ... 'I study because I like it, not because I hope to leave here, because I enjoy the challenge of learning, I may not remember who I was, but I know I've always been fond of studying.' ... 'Does it have pictures' ...'Aren't you a little old for picture books?' Did he still think that? what would he think when he found out the truth, it wasn't her fault, the words just seemed to jumble up infront of her eyes and mock her. But she could learn couldn't she? forgetting the complete feeling of frustration she always felt when reading. She could remember in class when everyone was reading, she could hear people turning pages all around her, their eyes seeming to skim ten to the double down the page as she still stumbled her way through the first page, the worry of getting left behind making it even more difficult for her, and she'd end up skipping pages to keep up. It was hard to appreciate a story when you only read a few pages of each chapter. She could still remember liking the storys her mother used to tell her, when she was little, she'd sit in her mothers lap hugging, her then unscruffy Fred to her chest and look at the colourful pictures in the books as her mother told her stories about princesses, dragons, and a hundred and one other fantastic things. She'd liked the pictures, especially one of a large white swan from a book called the Swan Princess. But then she had to start reading the books herself and her mother didn't have the time to sit and read to her anymore. It had got harder from there on in and she lost interest, it was hard for her to get into a story when she had to stop so often because she wasn't sure what the words meant or because she was trying to read the words from right to left instead of left to right. Though stopping and giving up was the worst thing she could have done, if she'd have persevered it would have become easier in time and when she'd had to read complex things in geography and biology maybe they'd have made more sense. She was partly afraid of going back to lessons at Xaviers, she already had no idea what the teachers were going on about, it was all far above what she was caperable of. She didn't know what would happen come exams time, if she did badly would they ask her to leave, she knew she wouldn't be able to do the exam. She'd panick again, she didn't like tests, her mind seemed to go blank in them.
Instinctivley she tugged him a little closer to her as she kissed him incase he remembered all of a sudden, if he found out her secret and tried to push her away.

Re: Spending the Night Together 'Why is there blood?' How was he supposed to know.. he never did any studies on this, he found it all to embarrassing, he'd never be able to sit through a class so he switched whenever he was assigned it. As far as he cared she had been bleeding because he hurt her.. that's all that mattered. What if she didn't want to be near him any more, what if he could never sleep with her, hold her, kiss her, never ever again, he wouldn't survive if she didn't want anything to do with him.
Maybe he should ask Graham.. he didn't want to say anything about what he had done with her last night, but Graham was married.. he'd know if all that was normal or not.. Then he'd be able to assure Catherine that everything was alright, but if Graham found out then Forrest would know and then.. god he'd be able to live it down if Forrest started asking how it had felt for Riley to be with Catherine.. But what if Graham said it wasn't normal? What if he says it wasn't meant to happen, what if Riley really did hurt her?
Just as this panic flickered into his mind, she had moved closer to him, part of his mind continuing to depress him, another struggling to focus on Catherine's movements. Everything seemed to go blank as her forehead pressed against his moist skin, her arms slipping up around his neck, his eyes staring down at the top of her head as she did all this. It all began to feel better now, all the pain and confusion slowly was driven from within him, especially as their lips touched, he just lost himself into Catherine's affections.
It felt appropriate being dowsed in water as they kissed and held each other.. but this was a type of drowning that he never wanted to be rescued from, he'd never want to come up for air. The wondrous body that had truly woken him up inside moved closer to him, their forms once again pressed together as he held her even more protectively. But part of him didn't want to feel like this.. he didn't want to hurt her again, his lips began to pull away but he just willingly let them find their way instantly back to his lovers.
A flicker of mild pain intruded into the moment, but he stubbornly ignored its existence, a slightly twitch in his lips, his eyes scrunched up, but then he relaxed as the hunger in his kiss continued. What if Catherine doesn't want a boyfriend who suffers from continuous headaches brought on by a faulty implant, what if it reminds her how abnormal he was. Why would she want a boyfriend who was 'regular Joe' by day and 'demon hunter' by night when she was special enough to have anyone else she would want.
The rhythm of his breathing picked up slightly as his hands lowered down her back, the tips of his fingers tracing over her wet skin. How could she delight his senses so easily, how could she just be so.. so wonderful, she was so passionate and loving. He enjoyed having her up against him like this.. Riley felt so selfish for a moment.. she was hurting and Catherine didn't have an implant in her heart to dull her pain, and yet all he could think of was how amazing last night had felt.
"I love you." He mumbled between his kisses, unable to fully pull away, his body was screaming for her, but he resisted the urges that he had given into last night. He wouldn't let himself hurt her again, he wouldn't dare force himself on her when she was hurting..
"I really love you!" His voice was just a whisper, but he put a lot of emphasis into each word, he wanted to scream it out, he wanted to tell everyone, he wanted to tell every single 'thing' he could find, he didn't even care if it was some vampire he was about to dust. The entire world had to know how he felt, they all had to know Catherine was his and no one else was permitted to hold her, no one else was allowed to be with her like this.. no one else was allowed to love her like he loved her.

Re: Spending the Night Together
She felt his hands skim lower down her back, rivulets of water splashing down her wet frame, all she could think was how they'd be going home, she was going home, back to Xaviers today. She just hoped he felt the same way she did when they got back there, she didn't want him to change his mind ... he couldn't ... not now ... not after all this.
Cat had forgotten the simple fact that Riley was actually her jailor, even though he was helping her escape it was his job to keep her here. She felt as if it had been long months since she'd seen the sun whereas in reality it was only a couple of days. You lost track of time down here, she wasn't sure if it was day or night anymore, did it even matter since Riley was here with her?
'I really love you!' Her eyes opened, staring up at him, her hands still on his neck, her frame pressing that little bit closer.
'How you do know?' She said, she wanted to understand what he was feeling, she still felt as if she still didn't fully grasp the idea of love, how could you tell that what you were feeling was love or just a desire for a person?

Re: Spending the Night Together
There was a sudden feel of loss and emptiness within Riley's heart, his lips pulling awayfully as he slightly straightened his posture. What did she mean 'How you do know?'.. he told her.. he was drowning in her, he was drowning, how could she not understand, didn't she feel the same way.. couldn't she.. couldn't she tell if she loved him. When he spoke, his voice sounded slightly upset, as if something terrible had just been asked..
"Because.." He began, his tone extremely serious as he stared down at her, how could she... how could she sleep with him and still not feel anything towards him.. how could she make him feel so alive and then ask him such a terrible question?
"...I found someone I could live with once.." His hands rose as he spoke, his palms lightly touching both her cheeks, she was so beatiful, but he couldn't let himself think of that, he had to focus, he had tell her with brutal honesty the reason he knew she was his one and only love. He shook his head slightly as he spoke further..
"..But I'm not looking for someone I can just live with, I'm looking for someone who I can't live with out, someone who makes it hurt inside when they walk away, someone who makes me feel things I've never felt before.. I'm looking for you.. I just need to.. I need to.." He scrunched his eyes closed tightly and leaned forward, one of his hand slipping away from her cheek and resting lightly on the side of his head.
"I need to be better.. I need to prove myself to you, I'll stay with you Catherine, I'll never leave you, I promise, I'll spend the rest of my life with you, if you'd let me.. if you'd just.." His breathing became slightly stressed, he took a step away from her, it wasn't turning off, the chip was hurting him and it wasn't turning off.
"..you said.. you said you liked me.. don't you feel anything.. was it true... Catherine.." He hesitated for a moment, it was really starting to hurt more, both his hands nursed the side of his head, slowly reaching out and resting on the side of Catherine's head, his lips resting gently against the skin of her forehead.
"My world is a better place because of you.. I love you because I am in love with you, and if you want me to explain that to you.. after what I had given you last night.. then I don't think there are any words I could use that speak more truly then that." His hands balled into firsts as he rested them on her shoulders, his eyes remaining tightly shut as he waited for the implant to shut off. How could she ask him, he could never really tell her exactly WHY he loved her.. just the many reasons..
"..There are too many reasons why I love you Catherine.. can't you just trust me.. can't you see I love you, can't you.. can't you tell I'm in love with you?" He really wanted the chip to turn off, he wanted it to stop so he could talk with her, he wanted to talk with her about this.. please stop so he can talk with her...

Re: Spending the Night Together
His lips instantly moved away from hers, she could feel somehow that she'd said something wrong, something bad, her eyes searched for his, trying to catch his eye. She could hear it in his voice when he spoke, he was upset, she'd hurt him just with her words alone and she hadn't meant to.
'But I'm not looking for someone I can just live with, I'm looking for someone who I can't live with out, someone who makes it hurt inside when they walk away, someone who makes me feel things I've never felt before.. I'm looking for you.. I just need to.. I need to.' His hands were on her cheeks.
'I'll spend the rest of my life with you, if you'd let me.. if you'd just...' She watched him step back from him, she had a sudden desire to throw herself at him, to pull him close and not to let him leave. She wasn't used to people saying they'd stick by her, the sensation was a weird one but she found herself liking it. One of the things she'd been missing in her life was stability, things were always decided for her, like when she'd moed to America, she hadn't wanted to leave but she wasn't given a choice, nothing was ever constant, things always changed.
'There are too many reasons why I love you Catherine.. can't you just trust me.. can't you see I love you, can't you.. can't you tell I'm in love with you.'
'Of course I trust you Riley.' She said stepping a little close to him, her face tilting upwards, that wasn't what she'd been getting at, she just wanted to compare how he was feeling with how she was feeling. 'I just wanted to know ...' She trailed off, she didn't know how to say what she wanted to, it was easy to think it but another matter for the words to come out of her mouth.

Re: Spending the Night Together
Her body had moved towards him again, her voice sounded as if she was trying to assure him, he looked down at her, waiting to hear what it was exactly that she wanted to know. 'How do you know'.. she wanted to know how one knows they're in love? He looked confused for a minute, then thought back to what he had said the night before, his hands moved past her, reaching for the handles and turning off the water. His eyes glanced quickly up to the corner of the shower where he normally hang the towel, but he had forgotten to in his hast to clean Catherine.
His hand opened the shower door, staring down at the floor almost hesitantly.. his foot eventually deciding on reaching for the towel that had been discarded before. Wet footprints where more then untidy.. they where dangerous, he refused to allow anything dangerous to form around Catherine if he could help it. His fingers grabbed the towels on the towel rack, his feet shifting the blanket on the ground so Catherine didn't have to stand on the cold tiles. One towel he draped over his shoulder, the other one he held open for Catherine, helping wrap it around her heavenly form before he focused on drying his hair with the towel.
He stared down rather silently at the ground, suddenly remembering the bed.. the terrible mess.. he moved out of the bathroom, dabbing the towel over his skin to dry it. A thousand thoughts flowed through his mind, he had a habit of going quiet and sometimes moving off to do other things when he was lost in thought. 'How do you know?'
He wrapped the white towel around his waist as his hands then grabbed at the sheets, pulling them from the bed and rolling them up tightly in his hands. He tucked the rolled up sheets under his arm as he picked up Catherine's new clothing and old X-Force Uniform, moving back into the bathroom and handing them to her, slowly dropping the stained sheets into the laundry basket. His eyes stared at the basket for a long moment before he left the bathroom once more, his hand reaching up and resting against his spiky damp hair.
Pulling open one of his draws, Riley withdrew his black long sleeved skive, underwear and socks, he tossed his towel off onto Jon's old bed. Everything he wore was going to have to be black, Graham and Forrest where also wearing black and they hoped that Catherine could blend into them when they moved about, since she'd have her black uniform as well. He slipped into his pants, then slipped into his socks and opened another draw and pulled out neatly folded black pants that he put his legs through, raising it to his waist and zipping up the pants, doing up the button, making his way towards the bathroom as he did.
Every time their eyes met, he felt.. strange.. he felt so close, so.. he felt.. everything, devotion, love, desire, the need to be with her, to hold her, to kiss her.. He didn't know how she did what she did but he was so in love with her and how could he explain how he knew that he loved her? He appeared at the bathroom doorway, his eyes travelling over her pretty face, her hair still damp, strange to its usual soft silky appearance, yet also.. she still looked so beautiful..
"I know I love you.. because I'm amazed by you, the smell of your skin, the taste of your kiss, you surround me Catherine.. I don't know how you do what you do that makes me feel like this.. but I'm so in love with you, everything you do, it's just another reason for me to fall in love with you even more." He moved in and gently wrapped his arms around her, pulling her softly into his embrace as he continued to speak.
"I know I'm in love with you because.. I see you everywhere Catherine, I told you I'm drowning in you.. I see and feel you everywhere.. even when I can't see you.. I still see you.." His lips lightly pressed against her forehead as he continued to hold her, strongly ignoring the pain in his mind, Catherine was so much more important.. he wouldn't let this damn chip distract him.

Re: Spending the Night Together
She felt the deluge of water stop, the last few drops splashing down upon her, the hot steam still warmed her body for a moment until Riley opened the shower door and cooler air rushed in, making her shiver, wrapping her arms around her front, her eyes watching the form of Riley as he picked up a towel, moving back to her he wrapped it around her smaller frame. Her hands clutching it to her chin, grateful that the blood at least was gone.
Her body seemed almost to sway from side to side as she stood watching him dissapear into the bedroom, did he want her to follow him? She took a few tentative steps untill she came to the edge of the blanket, the tiles looked cold and uninviting. There was the sound of moving from the other room and Riley appeared again though he was now dressed in black.
She wondered if they would have a repeat of last night in the evening to come. Would it hurt as much again ... it had been worth the initial pain though, she blushed slightly as she looked at him, her eyes staying trained on his own. Remembering the warmth of his body laying ontop of hers, him moving inside of her, his kisses, his touch, the way he'd looked at her. She could feel her pulse increasing again just thinking about it, a hot flush tingled through her even though her muscles were still sore. She couldn't wait till that night, she had her own double bed which she wasn't over keen on, it was too big for her and she ended up sleeping curled up in one corner but she was sure that with Riley next to her she wouldn't feel the same.
'I know I'm in love with you because.. I see you everywhere Catherine, I told you I'm drowning in you.. I see and feel you everywhere.. even when I can't see you.. I still see you.' She was in his arms, her head lying against his chest, feeling his lips caress her forehead ... and it all felt so wonderfully right.
'And I see you Riley.' She said, her body wanted him again and her body was used to getting what it wanted weather it was food or warmth and now it protested that she'd been seperated from his body again. Her head shifted position so she could kiss his front through the fabric of his top, one of her hands moving from the front of her towel, leading him through the doorway and pulling him against her. Last night had been about her, she hadn't done much, she'd just lain there and accepted his attentions and she couldn't help feeling as if she wanted to return the favour now ...

Re: Spending the Night Together 'And I see you Riley.' Every bit of being upset or feeling worried flowed from his mind as his eyes watched carefully while her lips pressed against his chest. Was that her way of saying she was also in love with him? Well right at this point of thought and how Catherine was looking at him, guiding him towards her.. his blood seemed to have stopped running in the direction of his head.
For every time Riley stared blankly at Graham after witnessing Graham agreeing to something that he really, REALLY didn't like or didn't want to do.. Riley just figured out how Jess got him to agree. It's like they can just.. look at you this certain way and you want to give them everything.. they where just a body for the girls, waiting for their orders. Riley's fingers gently curled under her chin, guiding her gaze up to his eyes, his bright, hungry eyes that seemed to devour her beauty in order to feed the desire that was flowing through his body. She sees him.. just like he sees her, which means she feels just like how he feels.. that means he was just panicking in the shower, of course she loves him, she may not say it but he could feel it, he could feel it in every touch and every kiss she gave him.
"You're the only one I'll ever love.." His lips lowered to hers, gently moving against her tenderly soft, sugar sweet lips, as he kissed her, the taste of her mouth causing his eyes to close as he savoured the moment.
"No one else will ever lay beside me.." His body inched up against her more firmly as he continued to kiss her, his hand slowly travelling from her chin to her cheek, soon stroking some of her moist hair aside. Catherine's the only girl who's ever made his body react like this, that alone makes him so certain of his love towards her. His hand moved down her body, gently pressing her against him as he raised her feet slightly off the ground, moving slowly out of the bathroom and resting her toes back onto the warmer carpet of the main area. But his eyes seemed stuck toward the bathroom, his eyes flickered downwards towards Catherine before slowly turning her body to face the bathroom doorway.
Riley's arms slid down to her waist, his hands resting over her stomach as he held her close against him, his lips lightly kissing the back of Catherine's head. His eyes remained focused on the reflection of them in the mirror, his cheek soon resting on the side of her head affectionately.
"I wish I had a photo us.. I'd carry it with me always.." Soon his eyes closed, the image of him holding Catherine within his arms lingering in his mind, his arms slithered away from her waist, pulling his top off over his head and tossing it over the back of the nearby seat. His fingers finding their way to the side of her neck, lightly tracing down her soft skin, he shifted his position, moving in front of her, his palm seeking the comfort of her cheek, his lips keenly moving towards hers.
He just wanted to feel her hands against his skin, he missed her holding him, he wanted to feel her against him - he missed her touch so much.. His fingers traced down her neck once more, gently gliding down her towelled body and wrapping around her waist, pulling her eagerly, yet softly, into his embrace. He kept picturing her body underneath him, his own slowly moving above her, his lips travelling from her shoulder to her mouth, his hands exploring her body..
