"I threw thi-...what?" Cat didn't have the nerve to lift her eyes from the sand to look at him .... what if he said he didn't like her that way, he might even get mad at her since she had been the one to split up with him in the first place. Everything .. all this had been her fault. Katie had spotted her and waddled over, her little tounge hanging out of her mouth as she panted. Cat bent down and scooped up the little puppy, in order to give her hands something to do
"..Will you like to go now? I'm bored, we could get a movie, watch something together.. talk a bit?" Her eyes looked up at him with a hopeful expression in their depths. OK so he hadn't said he liked her but he had agreed to watch a movie with her and he wanted to talk to her so she wasn't going to give up on him yet. Maybe he was just shocked and he'd tell her later ... or worse perhaps he didn't like her at all and didn't know how to break it to her.
'No ... no, it's alright ... I'll go and get my things.' This was so embaressing. 'As long as you don't mind ... it's your party afterall isn't it.' Her arms hugged the little furry puppy closer to her as if the world might fall apart if she let go of the tiny creature. She gave him a rather nervous smile. It was wierd how a few minutes ago they'd been able to chat easily and now she could barely string two sentances together without blushing. She'd gone and made everything so akward. She let her eyes fall away from Riley again and fix themselves on the sand by his feet as if expecting it ro reply for him.

More importantly she was going to leave the party with him.. and she liked him.. 'As long as you don't mind ... it's your party afterall isn't it.' If he acts too happy she might take it back, so took a moment to swollow the imense joy and excited and just tried too stay as calm as possible, he looked like he was about to run around in circles though.
"Of course I don't mind.. I'm only here to spend time with you," The last part more slipped out, but he didn't hang around after that, instead darting off quickly while he blushed at the statement, "Um, I'll get my stuff as well and we'll meet at the car?" He called out as he turned around and faced her while walking backwards, flashing a rather excited grin as he turned around again and hurried over to tell Graham he was leaving.
Byt the time he had everything and had met up with Catherine and they settled into the car, Riley having to take the wheel since Catherine has been drinking. Katie snuggled down sleepily in Catherine's lap while Riley drove, having slipped his shirt on before starting off since once he was a little nervous around Catherine's presense.
They ended up stopping by a movie store in which Catherine picked two movies for them to watch, Riley seemed to hang back, he'd never been in a vedio shop before and there were a while lot of new choices and so many and he had not idea what any of the movies were like.
