Victoria smirked. "I think you'd be surprised. I have more going for me than money and good looks. I have a talent and it sure is better than being early for school or being able to catch the bus. Now if you'll excuse us," she said, trying to push her way past Beth.
Re: Foreign Languages
Victoria looked back towards Lefterry, signalling for him to follow her, ne readied to move only to have the girls continue their talk, Beth's eyes focusing on Lefterry for a moment before he quickly looked away.
What where they talking about? Was it about him? They both kept looking at him.
The words where familure, but why where they on about Surviving, they weren't going to fight where they? That's the last thing he wanted, someone fighting infront of him.
Maybe he should move between them, he stepped closer to Beth and Victoria, but paused hesitantly, unsure about the last words she had spoken, it seemed rather challenging, he looked over towards Victoria to see her reaction to them, if they where hostil he'd have to step between them so they could hurt each other.
Re: Foreign Languages
Victoria looked like she was about to physically lash out but after a moment of intense glaring she took a step back and a strange calm spread over her face.
"I don't go around showing off things like that. Love to see what you could do but the person of us who actually has a lunchdate and a friend is wanting to go on it. Later, after school since you're probably actually going. You want to chat, run circles around me be my guest but not now. Come on, let's go," she finished, turning to the man she had come with.
Re: Foreign Languages
*Beth could see the experesion on Victoria's face before she calmed down, she gave a slight smirk. Although both girls weren't getting along, Beth seemed to like Victoria's attitude.*
Beth: "Pfft...Like I go to school. And as for a night on the streets, for me, it's easy..."
*She said with a half smile, since she had lived on the streets for a long time now. As Victoria turned around Beth spoke*
Beth: "Don't think I won't take you up on me running circles around you!"
Re: Foreign Languages
Slowly Lefterry moved towards the door, not passing threw them since Victoria and Beth where still talking, the tones seemed to soften, which made him feel calmer.
The Greek singer's attention moved to some yelling outside, he frowned slightly as two students where fighting, what's with everyone fighting?
His head tilted slightly as he recognised one of them, Jeff, school bully and all round mutant hater, Jeff was bad when he didn't know Lefterry was a mutant, was it possible for him to be worse?
Moving away from the entrance he looked back over to Beth and Victoria, then back out the small window on the door, watching as Jeff and his partner approached.
Nervously he made his way over to the girls, not wanting to risk Jeff seeing him, which would be impossible if Jeff actually entered the building.
Lefterry:"Lefterry, Greek Singer."
Holding out his hand as he introduced himself to Beth, he glanced back towards the door for a moment before reaching into his pocket and pulling out a small card.
Lefterry:"Come, hear me sing!"
Jeff and his friend entered the hall, their eyes locking on the girls then staring at Lefterry.
Jeff:"What's going on here? Gorgeous girls hanging with the delinquent?"
Lefterry pretended to not hear them from the other side of the hall, he began humming a tune, softly whispering unfamiliar words, his back against the boys heading their way.
Lefterry didn't allow his smile to fade, his icy blue crystal eyes focusing only on Beth and Victoria, Jeff’s hand rests on Lefterry's shoulder, turning him around and Jeff just glared at the Greek boy, but Lefterry kept humming, although much quieter now.
Ken finally spoke up as he focused more on the girls then on Lefterry.
Ken:"Hey girls, we're just heading down to the lunch box, care to come with us, ditch this dork?"
Jeff:"Yeah, what's two pretties like you doin hangin 'round with him anyway? He harassing you?"
Jeff's hand dropped from Lefterry's shoulder and he takes a step back, any who knew Jeff knew this was very odd for his behaviour, since he was the type to slam his fist into anything that got in his way.
Ken:"Wait a minute, aren't you that girl that used to come here? The Quick Chick!"
Jeff:"Hey yeah...you're that mutant!"
Lefterry's soft humming seemed to go unnoticed by the guys, they shook their heads.
Ken:"Forget them."
Jeff:"You're lucky, I'm not in the mood to thrash you right now! Let's grab a bite to eat before they infect us with their freakish disease!"
Watching them head down the hall, kicking and denting the lockers they passed, Lefterry didn't stop humming till they disappeared around the corner.
Lefterry:"...Freakish?"
He repeated the word curiously, but then decided he might be happier not knowing, he pointed to the card he placed in Beth's hand and smiled.
Lefterry:"Watch, and eat, no pay."
Taking Victoria by the hand he took a step towards the door, he wanted to leave before the guys heads cleared and they realized they wanted to fight.
Lefterry:"Come, show you."
He urged eagerly wanting to leave the school grounds..
Re: Foreign Languages
Victoria brushed him off impartiently though. "Okay I've got questions and I had better get answers or people really will be infected. You," she started pointing at Beth.
"You're a mutant? Let me guess powers of speed, no wonder you thought you were awesome. Not saying you are of course, I've got you beat."
Victoria turned to the boys who were leaving. "Hold up freakish? Do you know who I am? I'm Victoria Fizbruin of Fitzbruin Incorporated as in my Daddy owns everything. You had darn well better start showing me some respect or they'll be trouble. Second what do you mean by delinquit? I am so not leaving until I get some answers."
Re: Foreign Languages
No no no no...why was she yelling at them!? They where violent and mean and nasty! And now...now they are glaring at them, Lefterry stepped back as they moved angrily back towards the 3.
Lefterry:"No, leave, leave!"
He insisted, unable to hide the anxiety and urgence in his voice.
Jeff:"You're pretty fiesty for a chick."
Ken:"Yeah, you heard, delinquit!"
The dark haired boy laughed, but Jeff smirked, stroking his hand threw his messy sandy hair.
Jeff:"Big mouth as well, does it look like I care who you're rich daddy is?"
Lefterry frowned, he didn't like the tone Jeff was using on Victoria.
Jeff:"Are you sure you want to stand up for these freaks? They're losers, a school drop out a guy who can't speak."
Jeff stepped closer to Victoria, standing face to face with her.
Ken:"Shoulda let us go, but no, had to ruin our happy mood, maybe we should just deal with the Quick Chick, wonder how fast she can go if he legs are broken."
He chuckled, but didn't move towards them, staying behind Jeff.
Re: Foreign Languages
*As the guys were walking off Beth looked at the card in her hand. Both girls were just arguing but he still seemed to be nice, he probably didn't understand what they were talking about she figured. She quickly gave him a friendly smile before placing the card in her pocket.
Then as Victoria spoke she looked at her. As she asked her about being a mutant she smirked.*
Beth: "100 per cent mutant and proud of it! You've got me beat? Pfft..."
*She didn't bother to tell her that speed was her power since Victoria had already guessed it, but she also left out the part of her glowing in the dark. Then as the princess began to talk to Jeff and Ken, Beth rolled her eyes, she obviously didn't know who these two guys were, but she remained quiet.*
Jeff:"Are you sure you want to stand up for these freaks? They're losers, a school drop out a guy who can't speak."
Beth: "I may be a drop out but I know more than you two will ever know, even if you combine yourselves together!"
*She replied to him with a slight glare. When she used to attend this place she never could stand them.*
Ken:"Shoulda let us go, but no, had to ruin our happy mood, maybe we should just deal with the Quick Chick, wonder how fast she can go if he legs are broken."
Re: Foreign Languages
If there was one weakness Victoria had it was comments about her father. Unfortunently for him Jeff had just done the equivilant of taunting a hungry dog. He was just asking to be bitten.
"You will care and you won't say anything about my father ever ever again once I'm through with you. Got it?" Victoria asked and although the threat was made by a model like brunette it somehow seemed like she was entirely convinced. It seemed like she would go ahead and follow through with her threat.
"Besides who said I was sticking up for her?" Victoria asked with a look of distaste as her eyes darted in the direction of Beth.
"Just stay away from me and don't say anything about my father ever again or else," Victoria finished, standing with her hands on her hips defiantly.
Ken seemed to hesitate when Victoria began threatening them, Jeff's father was wealthy, and Ken had seen what Jeff's father could do. He wasn't keen on experiencing the wraith of a rich man himself.
Jeff on the other hand scoffed at her remarks in disbelief.
Jeff:"Big words and brave faces don't scare me missy."
Jeff gave Victoria a gentle push with his fnger jabbing into her shoulder.
Jeff:"You're daddy so much as lays a finger on me in any way, and my daddy's going to sue your daddy so fast his check book will be spinning for months."
Lefterry gave a frown, stepping up right behind Victoria protectivly, making Ken even more nervous, but Jeff laughed.
Jeff:"And what are you going to do, sing me to death?"
Giving the bully a dry smile, since that was very possible for him to do, Lefterry knew however that Victoria was seriously losing her temper, he just wished they'd leave.
Re: Foreign Languages
*Beth gave a smirk as she tried to hide a laugh.*
Beth: "You'd better go, I think there's more to this princess than Daddy's money!"
*She said in a half sarcastic tone.*
Beth: "Better run fast as you can, if you go...Because I can catch you and you don't want any 'mutant germs' eh?"
*She said, looking to Ken, she could see that he was nervous and though that if they could get to him then Jeff might back away and find someone else to annoy, since all they really did to Beth was annoy her.*
Re: Foreign Languages
Victoria hid the grin quickly forming on her face and instead smirked. Perhaps this Beth girl wasn't so bad. Victoria paused in what could be descibed as horror as she realized she actually felt a tinge of respect for this mutant gal. She quickly shook it off and tried to pretend nothing had happened.
It couldn't have been respect, just a moment of gratitude or mutual feelings since they were both of mutant kind. Yes that was it. Surely she couldn't actually like the girl.
Re: Foreign Languages
Lefterry smiled as Ken placed his hand on Jeffs shoulder and began pulling him back.
Ken:"Come on man, I'm starved, these's w-whimps can wait!"
His voice entangled with a sense of panic as he attempted to keep up his macho appearence,
Ken:"Jeff come on!"
Jeff:"Get off me!"
He growled as he pushed ihs friend off his shoulder.
Jeff:"I'm not afraid of you, we'll be back, you'll see, but things will be more fair when we return, you better pray you find a good hiding spot when we come looking for you!"
As he said that the bell rang, students came flowing out of their classes and the bullies disappearing into the swarm of innocent bystanders, Lefterry just watched, frowing as he lost sight of them.
Re: Foreign Languages
Victoria shrugged, her next remarks aimed at Beth. "You know for a total loser you aren't half bad. Maybe with a couple trips to the mall you can turn yourself around. I can handle myself though, I don't need you around when they come back."
Re: Foreign Languages
It was Victoria's turn to smirk.
"Call it a secret weapon if you will and by that I mean secret. As in you're not finding out. Maybe I can afford to be seen with you once or twice, just as long as it doesn't happen often my reputation may remain intact," she said, in a tone that indicated she thought she was doing a huge favour.
Re: Foreign Languages
A slight smile lit her face but Victoria held strong.
"Look meet me later alright, as in somewhere that's not public. I so don't want to be seen with you plus with him here I'm not in a sharing sort of mood," Victoria said as she indicated Leftery.
"There's a place downtown by the lake where my father took me a few times. It's private usually. Meet me there later," Victoria said quietly, her princess air gone as she remembered a family gathering they had once had before her mother had died.
"Sound okay?" she asked, putting on her "I'm the best" front again to cover the emotion. Victoria wasn't asking though. Beth had better show or she wasn't learning a thing.
