Criminal Offences Storyline - Character Groups
Granted not everyone will have planned where and what their character will be doing at that exact time. But can people list if they would like their character to be captured at the school, this would be serious character development and interaction as they would not have a whole lot to do, also for people wanting odd things to happen to their charries (Matt's request for Rogue as an example) would have them remain behind.
This is just so people have a general idea of what is going on and what others are doing. As of yet I have only planned Charlotte and Connor's whereabouts, so everyone can feel free to put in suggestions, questions or imputs!
Character - what you want to happen to them or the group they will be involved with during this time.
For example;
Connor (&Charlotte): Will be taking part in a group lead by Racheal Felis, with Connor being 'out of action' so to speak she will be leading and taking care of the group and their welfare by using her street smarts. Other characters organized to take part in this group are; Hannah/Truthteller, Catherine Hall, Racheal Felis/Feral, and most likely the final addition will be Charlotte Church.

Okay, seeing as Hannah and Racheal are my only two at the moment, they are covered by Angies post. Though *hopefully* I will have actually completed bio no. 3 which is Wes. I'm happy to have him captured as (as will be seen in history) it could be quite interesting. Plus, as it won't be far from his first day, I felt like being a little cruel lol.
Also, before I forget, Evelyn, didn't you say you wanted Hope to be part of Racheal's ickle group?

Hmmmm> Matt Murdock would like to be your defence council......can fancy seeing him come up against Cole in court,could lead to his secret identity being blown. I don't even know if Scott Summers would still be alive at that point. Any ideas?
Hank will certainly make sure everyone ( especially the professeur gets safely out of sick bay) Then depending on what happens with Zia he may go back to make sure shes OK so I suppose the answer is "what would you prefer to happen to him plot wise?"

Kane - he's on no official record and the only one REALLY knowing about him has no clue where he is resp. would never lower himself to talk to A.Corp., I think .. so he'll be totally untouched by the whole issue but might help where he can if he got out of his hole by then
Matt - mmh... now it'd be kinda fun to have him captured thoug it depends on who will be actually capturing him... so he's a potential candidate for that, sorta *nods*
Rogue - errrm.. I *think* I rememer what I had in mind those aaaaages ago.. so.. um... yeeeah... she's special *pats her*
Storm - staying behind. who'd ever dare to touch her, who, I ask?? *dramatic gesture* she can spend her time comforting Jean*shoos her off to be useful for once*
Mareesa - she's eeeeevil! though.. maybe... ah, I don't know yet. depends on how things turn out during the missions!
Aurora - ha, I wanna see the cops trying to get Miss Ferelle herself, they'd get sued to no end. nope, she'll be at the Institute doing her best to get all those people back.. like Daredevil *can already see them as some kinda dream team... just odder*
Things might change as a spure of the moment kinda thing but that's what I think is gonna be the case... yeeees...

Well some I'll have to think on but here's what I have thought up so far- kinks to be worked out.
Jess - Apparently when Jess' bio was written there wasn't a bit about whether or not they had a criminal record. With Jess' powers he probably wouldn't have been officially arrested but he might have spent the night in a holding cell before and he certainly has enough of a reputation to put him under suspician for theft and some crimes, more serious ones if he didn't like the person. He could easily be one of the ones framed. Some of the petty theft for his amusement and self defense attacks on others could also be brought up as things he actually had done in the past but was never convicted for and of course because of his attitude even when he tells the truth there is a great deal of doubt about his innocence.
Oz - Still gotta reply to those comments and get him officially in but he would certainly be under suspician for his other half. Makes for some nice guilt/angst fun since he himself won't remember if he's innocent or not in any crimes. He's another for the framing pile.
I have a character I've had in mind for probably a year now who I want to play as well so I'll get working on his bio. The details are in my head but not on paper or computer screen yet. He runs along the lines of The Fugitive though or Les Mis I guess which the fugitive was based on anyway. Has a criminal record for first-degree murder but didn't actually comitt it. However there's little evidence either way so people choose to believe what they will and it would be fun to frame him as well.
*rubs hands gleefully* So there are the poor suckers stuck in that pile.
Oh and Johnny, having helped police before back in Maine, wouldn't be harmed or have any sorts of problems with the police so he'll be able to take it easy for himself although he'll want to try and use his powers to clear the names of the students he knows who are framed.
With my several characters it would be nice to have at least one captured just for interest's sake.
Can I hear a bit more detail about what the capturing would entail and what the other choices are for students and teachers during this whole thing? Also would things just go on as normal for the Brotherhood? I'm assuming with their money and status Maverick would keep well out of things and watch the misery brought down on others... assuming Loza and I both actually finish our Maverick characters in time...

Clinton Duclos - Well, he's gonna be the one framing people so he'll be having fun going around and bumping into people, absorbing their DNA to frame them and lastly his favourite hobby, killing people. *Has been watching some crime shows and saw Saw and has ideas on different murders* And then he gets to help arrest people and nooooobody knows that he actually did it!
Well... I'd better get his bio done *remembers coming up with him a year ago and starting the bio only a few months after that* which means I'd better get it out of the CBD!
As for my other characters I don't really have anything planned for them at the moment. Perhaps one could get arrested if not many others are up for it. I'll think about it and get back to this thread. And well I think the Brotherhood would stay out of it, though maybe a few curious ones might check things out... And the Maveriks will keep out since they most likely won' be completed by then! Nuh, we REALLY gotta get them done Chels! *Knows that Chelsea's far ahead of her*
Oh, and didn't we already say that Jess was getting framed? And Arisa is still that I know of... Is Max still getting framed Angie?
Anyway, dinner's going to be ready shortly, so I must be off and I'll think about what my characters can be up to during that time.

Favor.... Please can we have more info about the plans around the criminal offences. I.e. My personal assumption is that the institute, after a few people have been arrested, will/maybe considered as a sort of base of criminal or terroist opperations which would be why it is raided.. assuming it is being raided. And then those who escape would be wanted and therefore couldn't do the simple thing of going home and avoiding the whole thing. I'm piecing this together from what I gathered from what has actually been said on board, and what seem to be everyone's opinons. Obviously some people whose only home is the institute would want to stick near it. But charries who are boarding students more than residents (if that makes sense) could have always gone home if it was happening any other way.
Okay. I think I repeated myself and properbly have confused people. But the basic thought is that no one really knows what is going on lol (at least at this end).

*nods slowly* I don't mind surprises , I just know there was alot of confusion over how things were *more or less* going to happen. That confusing babble above was what I thought (hey, my mind IS a confusing babble lol) but there were a few other possibilities floating around. So the basic points I think just need verifying are:
# The main part is going to be a raid of some description
# It will directly affect all students (i.e. no running off home)
# Uncaptured groups will be hunted to some extent (hehe ~ hoping to have some fun if thats the case )
I *think* they are the three main things. *pats Racheal & Hannah on the head as she pushes Wes towards various law types* poor boy lol. He is only a guest at the moment!

mmh.. I'm not sure about the hunting thing to be honest XD yeeeah, I know, I'm badly informed... but chances are Angie told me and I forgot. How come she's got such a good memory for plots we only just mentioned but forgot her own name and age for than once??
anyway, moving on... I think the raid is quite certain to take place, also, some students will be captured but I think they'd rather be going for special targets than just catching everyone in sight... though that'd kinda make sense so I could be wrong XD
Guess we gotta wait for Angie to return next week. Sorry to be of such little help but then again, the current plotline hasn't even reached its climax! So I always have the excuse of being into this plot faaar too deep to really think about future events

Thanks, that sort of answered my question too.
I'd love to have some info on what sort of character groups are being planned so far and what kinds of special targets will be mentionned so I can think up fates for all my charries at some point in time so if someone wants to get back to me when they know that would be a big help

OKay, this is nothing to do with my confusing babble, but some sort of organisation over what my characters are going to be doing...
Racheal & Hannah: Okay,as is known Racheal is going to be leading a small escapee group which (I believe) consists of in alphabetical order lol): Cat, Charlotte, Connor, Hannah & Hope. I'm not saying where they are ending up yet, want it to be abit of a surprise..
Wes: I am kinda hoping that during the raid it will be more than just targetted people who get picked up, as it will make my getting Wes involved easier. Basically, I was planning on having him get sort of accidentally captured ~ properbly as a result of protecting Hannah and trying to get her to escape.
*Glances at her plans* Hannah gets this easy, other than the fact she has to deal with Wes getting captured. Poor Wes and Racheal. All either wanted was something touching on normal!! lol.

ok, I've pretty much made up my mind now and I definitely want Matt to get captured. I dunno whether A.Corp. is entangled but if they are, that may be an opportunity for some angst and such. Angie, maybe we can discuss some things on MSN once you've returned.

Well, Hope's fate is pretty much sorted out, but I'd like to develop Siren a bit before I decide on what's going to happen to her. She hasn't even joined the school as a teacher yet...so it would be nice for her to take a couple of lesson, get to know some of the students and continue her wooing of Pyro before I have to think of the Criminal Offence story.

Greatings all. I know I'm back a few days early, but I lasted from monday through to friday, isn't that impressive!? XD
Only on quickly... so not posts. BUT, I did a few thingies for ooc areas. Including answering some of these questions. Matt, I'll be back midnight on monday for thirty minutes.
For those of you who don't care about what is really happening or sort of being planned, you don't really need to read ahead. I haven't put any explicit details, but still, a fair warning for those that would enjoy a few surprises, or prefer to read this at a later date. Once I get a few responses from you all about your teams and groups, I'll set up the proper Criminal Offence Storyline thread holding all the info so people can easily see who's doing what.
Hope this answers all ya questions! A quick glance at the info marked with # will answer and cover the basic plans. So Matt, that's probably all ya wonna read at the moment to understand the jist of what's going on.
Also, take a peek at the other news section at the bottem, especially Matt and Lady. Our trip to the past seems to be having technical difficulties (meaning - lack of players XD)
Well, I had intended on doing a draft of things planned (some things, never intended on making a detailed plotline, otherwise what’s the point of playing if we know every twist and turn! XD) That’s another reason I put a hold on all the time jumps that were going a week ahead. I am still plotting things and in a week some pretty substantial story/character developments may occur, albeit mild in most cases. During this storyline I’m going to ask all people to reframe from posting beyond it. As it is just too likely that many plot twists will occur and I know one or two people aren’t enjoying the time restrictions it’s just going to be problematic to have students posting in one time framing being all happy go lucky while in the present they are getting assaulted, degraded, hunted by homicidal maniacs – what ever may be thrown into the story. I know WilliamXTaylor had some ideas regarding some Priest in Hell’s kitchen which sounded really good and a group of nasties of some kind (always has to have his nasties XD)
The reason I didn’t do any post regarding the basic plot of the intro to the story was coz Matt had, as he said, suggested it come as a surprise of sorts. And he wasn’t the only one, Karen had mentioned earlier (well, different story so muuuuch earlier >>) that sometimes we really get a little too into the details of stories we’re about to play or plan. And sometimes that is the case, people are extremely into planning and setting things logically along a plot line of sorts so adding ‘surprise’ events can be a little problematic in many cases. So I figured an intro into the story line was all we’ll do for this story, and players requested to tell me what they desire for character development/situations to occur and that myself, Matt, Loza and Lady are informed and aware of how to set about the next moves (I assume Jenn as well, not positive if she wanted or had time to help with storyline control in any sections, I’d leave that up to her!)
We’ll open a thread regarding the Criminal Storyline in the new forum for story monitoring. The list of people who are hovering together, their goals as far as character development goes will be listed in a small description below their group. (i.e. Racheal and her team’s main goal appears to be learning to accept who they are, what they are, and the fact they can help each other and rely on themselves (Individually and as a team) – for this time it appears to me that they will be each other’s life-support, thus grow and mature because of it… I could be wrong, but from what I’ve heard from Rebecca and the charries involved, it points towards this)
So the basic points I’ll verify are:
# The main part is going to be a raid on the school itself. Cole will be there, and offer his services to ‘protect’ the school. Anyone unable to escape the school (which also has secret passages which all X-men members, who have been in a group for roughly two or more weeks at least, will know of these tunnels in the school walls/floors. Stay behind, you’re asking for A.Corp to play hostile host, meaning either students will be locked somewhere, tested on or whatnot (as Matt has requested for Rogue maaaany months ago) and such unpleasantness. The school has a vault where students are said to be held during raids on the school, most likely a mass of students will be sent there for captivity, not everyone needs to have anything done to them other then locked in a room for a while – to keep things interesting, we’ll be sure that they aren’t sitting there for the entire story, revolt at some time perhaps? Always likely a small group could flee, warn the others as to what’s happening in the school or something.
# Students will be considered hostile and dangerous! All families will be under watch as A.Corp would hope for students to flee to their childhood safe havens. Any student who tries to go home will be captured and families charged for aiding and abetting criminals! Any students caught by the police, will be taken to the department of Law and Order to wait for their trial. Some students may face trail, in which DareDevil’s alterego (Matt Murdock) will be defending them. But as a group, they’d sit in the court room while facing trails, one case being judged after the other, basically Matt will be defending the school as a whole as well as defending the individual students. (Probably not the greatest fun if you only have one charrie, though someone like Jenn’s Paige would be less traumatized sitting in a courtroom then being chased by mutant haters!)
# Uncaptured groups will be hunted. Hunted like wild blood thirsty wolves! If you’re on the run, you better not look back! Police, gangsters, good and bad hunters, they will be trying to lend their hand in the fight against the mutant menaces, for personal or financial/beneficial reasons!
I will put up a list of what I have planned for some of my charries to do during this time, that way people can pick and choose where and what is going to happen to their charries. I will not however go into any more details. Just because you start off with one thing doesn’t mean you have to stick with it the entire story, just discuss plans and problems with your friendly neighbourhood admins by posting in the Criminal Offences Thread in the storyline forum. Communication is imperative on my part, telling things to someone over MSN only will not be beneficial as I am often left out of the loop and I will be the one in charge of this storyline. Granted I will assign some things for others to do, and they can do that to the best of their ability, and communicate with people involved, but still leave a note of what is happening and being planned either in the thread or more privately in my ezInbox. (As I may plot something to happen that goes against something that has already sort of been planned by the specific group).
Characters like Racheal who wish to lead their own team (uses ‘wish’ very loosely XD), feel free to leave a post here in this thread and allow people to join the group. Or you may have absolutely no idea what happens or what could happen to your charries in this case, don’t worry about it, take things as they come, you will in the end no matter what be thrown with at least one of this situations no matter what is thrown your charries way! Be sure to tell me however which of the scenarios you would rather enjoy (trial/prison, school captivity, on the run to survive, etc). Obviously most people will be running and hiding/plotting their next move.
For those in the Law and Order department, unsurprisingly I do have a charrie there! So no matter what, you will always have someone to post with, as good ol’Darien (aka Daniel there) tends to get all the ‘weird’ cases on top of special crime scenes! (Which the school will be classified as so he’d have free access if he desired to stroll down there for whatever reason). Due to his short time in A.Corp before his escape almost two years previously, Darien is friends with Jarod Xavier, and they keep in touch, having spent the past month previously working together in an attempt to find Madison and Connor – thus he knows the schools good intentions! So he’d be a friend on the inside in case people worried about getting stuck there, perhaps a jail break could be worked on…?
Anyway – that’s all the detail you’ll get! By far not everything but meh… the basic gist is passed on – schools going to turn into hells domain! OTHER NEWS IN THE STORY WORLD!
Other news slightly related but not to do with CO storyline:
Next story line after this is so going to be involved with something other then demonic-ness in any part of it (granted it’s not seen in this story aside from Cole and whatnot)… which stories can’t really be help considering Cole’s forces are demonic and Cole is currently the only bad dude we have in play! Let’s tone it down a little after this story wraps up, we’ve had other dimensional enemies, Cole’s horde of goons, entire populace of law-enforces and hunters of all descriptions, – so… nice and simple alien invasion perhaps? XD …*Gets images of the Shi’ar empire asking for help after gaining a new enemy based on (dramatic music plays) Universal Domination!*
Don’t fret peoples… Loza and Chels have already agreed to put their heads together. I figure the next few storylines are going to evolve mainly on the X-men and students in particular, getting their lives back together and mostly doing acts of decency to build up their reputation. The story will basically be some of our charries getting lives outside the school, this can be as simple as part time work, more socializing, street patrols (hey, we all know how dangerous the streets can be!) and general activities of the like. So, nothing serious is planned on my part once this story is stopped, if anyone wants to plan small side stories for their charries, feel free to think them up – but I suggest to wait before posting your request for others to take part. I know the CO storyline hasn’t even come into play yet, but just wanted to say that this will be the last huge story I plan to occur for the current few months board time. I desired the rest of the year, but our charries will slowly be getting older and older, soon they’ll be off having kids and then we’ll be playing them new kiddies while our old charries go into retirement homes!!! …*Blinks* Though that could be interesting …XD
Oooooooo! And I think we’ll have the charries who will be going to the past, be captured during the school raid. I think we’ll organize it to look like whoever’s gone back has actually been killed – we could use this storyline as a spring board into Garnet/Frostbite/Madison’s situation of being … uh… ghosty! As it WAS supposed to be during this storyline! Perhaps the group going to the past and the girls are trapped in the school, but not yet captured. I’d need a reason for them to all group together… perhaps they go to the medical bay, be taken there for genetic modifications and altercations and whatnot. What do you think Loza and Matt?
Additionally, Who else is going on the time travel thread? It lasts a week so once they get back they’d still be in the folds of the criminal offence story, so ya wont miss anything!

That leaves two places, anyone interested? It’ll take place in the 1300s sometime, knights, revolution, a trip to the enchanted lands at one point. I need to study some history once again to remember what time and troubles I had planned on them being sent to. The story was intended for students of lesser powers, Arisa would be the most strongest at the moment.
The Sensations of Humanity:
Emotions are almost unbearable. How do people go about their every day lives with such burdens weighing them down? How do they fight, how do they love? Every action causes an emotional reaction, and while I always knew this, I never realized how strong these reactions would be. Was I really that far gone in the Initiative to be so blind to my own lack of sensations?
Dr Hank McCoy & Teachers:
The school doctor doesn’t really strike me as someone I can buddy up with, then again I feel that way with the entire staff. I know I never really got to know the Professor, but Xavier had this look in his eyes when he spoke with me, it’s like he knew exactly who I was and still let me into his home, into his dream, his private paradise from the outer world. In many cases he usually can see right through people, but I know if he did see through my lies and deception, it wasn’t with his powers, it was only with his intellect and heart.
What is the Doctors views on me however? I think everything is starting to unravel, past secrets slowly coming into light. How will the doctor, no, how will the entire school react to knowing that my only reason to coming here was to spy on the people they cared for and protected?
