Re: Criminal Offences Storyline - Character Groups
Just a warning this is going to be a very long post while I sort out my ideas but it does set out the rough outline of what I'm thinking I'd like to do with my charries...
I think I'm good with just Tess for the Trip to the Past storyline actually.
Oh Angie question... what's Scott doing during this time period? Fengal had a really great idea when I was discussing what I would do with all my charries through the criminal storyline and she mentionned that perhaps Scott would take Tess back to his faerie kingdom. I don't know if that's possible for him or whatever but that would certainly be something interesting and could propel them into that forcoming relationship... What do you think? I could pull her out of the trip to the past and pick another character *pictures drawing names for the lucky contender and grins* if needed, I do have one possibly in mind as a fallback...
Your description of Rachael's group and the finding themselves/learning to trust theme that seemed to come up sounds really interesting. Is there room for one more with her group? If so I think Kaitlyn who has lost all definition of self along the way would be good for this, she could actually gain a few friends, some self-esteem and a real personality for once!
It also came to me that poor never played (and I Badly want to!) Ryan Warner would attempt to sacfrice his freedom in order to protect his seven year old daughter. This was a spur of the moment thought so I'll have to think on whether I want him to be in captivity or freed but seperated from his daughter and very anxious about her... anyone have an idea of where I could put a seven year old girl or who she could tag along with? She's bright but she is only seven...
Also my reporter character to come (his bio is being worked on now) would have some inside info so he could try and warn people and attempt to keep any he can informed while shifting the attention of the press and his collegues if they get to close to any one team. He could be a valuable friend.
I've also got Johnny Smith. Now Johnny isn't strictly a mutant and he's solved enough police cases in his homestate that he has a small amount of fame in that area. He certainly wouldn't be a real target so he probably wouldn't be on the run or captured. Now he could return home and attempt to discreetly bring a few of the students with him but that doesn't sound the most plausible. He would be trying to get the police in his hometown to understand things though and would be trying to actively help in some way. Any suggestions?
On the rest I'm still thinking. The info is very greatly appreciated though, thanks sooooo much that's exactly what I was hoping for, some sort of a sum up without too many details provided.
Also for the future storylines it might be a possibility methinks to do something that involves helping humans since they haven't done too much of that lately. Naturally probably not right after this whole thing though, distanter future. Be nice to get Maverick involved down the line too with the X-men...that is if Loza and I ever finish our bios
Okay a bit more thought now as I go through my bios:
Jacob - prison. Him in confinement sitting still for awhile? Waaay worse than being hunted and he would probably get himself lost and captured too, this is the kid who gets lost in his own basement afterall and who is loud enough to wake the dead. Plus he's not exactly the type who screams innocent appearance wise in a courtroom, would be highly uncomfortable for him.
Julian needs some damage, he's another possible target afterall he has to deal with his anger in order to control his powers which are so random.
Casey's smart enough and his powers are enough to get him away so he'd be with some group.
Lexi could be valuable if she managed to escape because of her powers so for keeping tabs on the others plus she's still nervous when it comes to leading or even following others in field situations.
Drian and Aisha would both escape because of their otherworld training experiences. Drian could lead his own group if wanted/needed, he might actually in a twisted way enjoy being a leader again since he vaguely misses that control and rebellion. They'd stick together for sure.
Jack would be trying to use his persuasion to get Jess off after he was framed while having doubts about whether or not Jess did it so I think he has to be caught as well.
Loni can go either way, if she was following someone strong enough she'd manage but if not she wouldn't. She'd not the biggest survivor alone.
Matt: Hey what have you got planned for Kane? I know it's a longshot and a strange combo but I think it might be interesting to stick solely the two of them together if there's nothing else to do. If you've got other plans for him though it's understandable. Would be interesting with a chance escape together though and might push them to the brink.
Re: Criminal Offences Storyline - Character Groups
*jumps up and down excitedly* Ohhh goood I was so right in my thoughts
And Lady, there is space for Kaitlyn.. *pauses* No more after that though I think. Racheal neds a bit of thinking time somewhen along the way lol (plus with what I have in mind, we need to be able to get everyone to fit.. hmmm...) And I actually partially succeeded in the begining of my advertising. I have an RPer who might accidently end up being accepted during this, but I'll have a word if that happens and she can join Racheal's lot seeing as knowledge of anythng isn't really important at this point..
*pauses, reads post* Welcome back Angie... lol. You answered everything I was worried about. I have a rather cruel plan for Racheal, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to pull it off. Also, for once, it means that I actually correctly interupted one of the story lines! Lack of too much detail is cool - I have no intentions of wanting to know exactly what is going on. But it has cleared a few things up.
Hang on.. *thinks back...* ouch. Anyway. The police are going after them? Oh boy... That could make Wes interesting... *part of brain quickly points out fact he's been captured* *shoos away that part of brain* I'm assuming they would then have to deal with the captured... and therefore Wes.. and since Darien.. ohhhh (erm, no need to clarify anything lol. Brain just wants to look at different possibilites hehe)
Okay. Pulling back a little from my normal random ramble, you basically have a very happy Rebecca. lol. Also, as I've kinda mentioned two times about the 'team' (considers changing the word team to group). Do the current members of it still need to be clarified? Darn it, here goes anyway:
Escapees: Racheal, Hope, Hannah, Connor, Cat, Charlotte and Kaitlyn (If you still want Lady). Also possibly new person depending if they decide to join. I *might* be able to squeeze one or two people in, but I need to quickly say that they will be wandering the streets and I'ld prefer not to have any *currently* strongly willed (in favor of the institute etc. Hard to explain lol.) or strong powered charries. Unless their unwilling to use them <powers> at the moment.
Wes: Poor Boy. He'll be captured protecting Hannah whilst she escapes. Then what ever will happen will happen *shoves Wes in cell with everyone else*
Okay, I think thats it now. *truddles off to read Kaitlyn's bio*
EDIT: *got mildly distracted and wandered down to Romeo and Juliet post...* Arhh! You realise I'll now have four of the actors/stage hands in the group? *shakes fist at Evelyn* See what you started?! ((Heheh ))
Edit 2: Oh... another little street urchin lol. That's good, I can use that .. Hmmmm... At least it means someone else with have some vague idea of what Racheal is talking about half the time. Again, I say.. I'm happy! *refuses to admit the fact she should actually be doing some form of work*
"Things change. It's a fact of life. Things are born, things die. That doesn't give you an excuse to complain"
Re: Criminal Offences Storyline - Character Groups
soo much text.. *slaps Angie* take that for not even sending me a pm *will be all worried till it's finally Monady... sobs* :'(
aaaanyway *inconspicuously wipes tears away* if I got it right, they won't be going for individual targets but basically everything more or less alive in the whole Institute.. meaning Kane can (and will ) be affected so lady!! let's really stick him and Murray in some prison cell! Escape of the Loners, pt. 2! *cackles madly*
ohoh!! Angie, Angie!! We'll need A.Corp to put some gadgets onto everyone or they'll use their powers to get out!! Dunno whether you've heard of that slave labour storyline Marvel had but... that kinda thing. Something they can't take off which'll block their powers (some more, some less..?).
Mmh.. what I'm just wondering about - what's with the teachers? I guess I'll just rewrite my list here *nods* that may help (especially me in finding things out that I should know >> .. << ..)
Matt: 's get caputured but I rather want him in some cell and not actually experimented on... not yet anyway. I'd prefer him getting in contact with A.Corp. so maybe he could be part of a group incarcerated inside the institute?
Kane: pretty much the same... stuck with Murray/Curse
Rogue: captured AND used as a guinea pig... behold the basis for a future plotline!
Storm: I can see her gathering and guiding those who got out, plotting and planning to free those who are being held prisoners in the mansion...
Aurora: she and her family will support Matt Murdock financially... they could pull some strings to keep the major stuff away from the media so that at least there's not gonna be every escaped mutant's face pinned for everyone to see and recognise. the Ferelle's won't make a public appearance though, I think... Aurora's gonna be save no matter what (same for Max, I reckon?)
Mareesa: she'll either lean back and watch the news with an amused grin ... or not.. it really depends on how the team missions end...
I'd also like to volunteer Matt for the trip to the past. His powers are pretty weak, I think, and I've got some ideas...lemme know whattcha think!
As for the Garny-ghost thing, I totally forgot the details XD but whatever you say's gonna be fine with me, I'm not fussed. If only Loza returned...

Re: Criminal Offences Storyline - Character Groups
*Wanders in. Looks at characters she can do things with.*
This is going to be fun
Pyro: Well seeing as he is guilty of rather a lot of things I figure he should go to jail. I mean he's lived a life of crime for the last 20 years and I figure he's due his first trip in the slammer he he.
Theo: *looks back at Angie's post* torture you say now thats an idea... *pushes poor dying mutant towards Cole* Here ya go.
Ben: well this is still undecided mainly because his whereabouts will be affected by where other characters are. Soooo for the moment I don't know where the poor boy is going to end up.
Re: Criminal Offences Storyline - Character Groups
Thanks! Glad Kaitlyn has a place and yup she be a street type Good to know she'll have some company in that department.
*grins evilly* Okay Matt sounds good *watches Murray glare in her direction* Poor guy I keep putting him through Hell, you'd think he'd get used to it by now!
Oh and I was thinking having my fugitive guy to come captured doesn't really help things. I don't want him to be found out by the police that he's an escaped con but since he's fairly new some of the teachers doubting him could be interesting. He'd definetly have to run and get away from the institute but under an assumed name he could try and give evidence that he had seen a mutant at a specific place or time so that they couldn't be responsible but of course this requires him to actually walk into the police station and sweat it out so some major anxious jumpiness and him debating just chickening out and stuff - details to come. How does that sound?
Re: Criminal Offences Storyline - Character Groups
Yes Matt, Garnet is completely safe from the government. She will eventually be considered dead at that time, but that changes nothing, she is stiiiiill safe from them!
As for Max… well he’s safe, as long as he avoids the hoodlums his father will undoubtedly send after him in order to stop Max’s constant slip ups that are poisoning the Chadstone’s ‘good’ name!
Lady, don’t fret, that’s actually aaaaaall set out. Keep Tessa in the timeline storyline and when she returns Scott will be about to head back home. So it can all go smoothly together AND keep her out of the stress of the criminal thingies. Same goes for any others who would prefer some nice enchantment instead of high-tech adversaries and crime lords/law enforcers out to get them. What you explained to me Lady is actually very similar to the things I have in mind… so hopefully it will all go the way you like without having to change anything! *Smiles innocently*
Ok, so here’s a quick recap to make sure I got it right and also for new comers to easily see what’s going on without having to back read too much and likely skip a few important details…
Time Travellers:
Heath – Dragged back to his timeline by the wizard responsible for accidentally sending him forward in time. He’ll have to deal with the changes that have occurred during his absence and the harsh lifestyle change from the one he had grown accustomed to in the future.
Riley – Using his knowledge on history and his combative skills, the group will also help Riley in dealing with his new predicament.
Arlen – A link to the enchanted realm. During this time he will learn that trying to be human isn’t something he ought to spend all his energies in. Being himself will be his new goal, and doing this, he will see his friendship with Arisa growing stronger once again.
Arisa - …One of the oldest charries at the school is attempting for a social life – even in trying times friendships and bonds can be formed and strengthend. Arisa is going to learn that some people are more concerned with an individual’s personality and current attitude then their past mistakes.
Tessa – Perhaps not exactly what she thought would happen when wishing for a chance to see her home… but the wait was well worth it.
Matt -
Lauren – Life is always hard on people, and sometimes a friend is all that holds the group together! Lauren will be the lifeforce that helps the group survive an emotional time, even if she isn’t aware of her own importance.
Angela C. (Well this is actually only coz there’s room… and Arisa wants friends! *Nudges the Angie/Loza/Nat trio together*)
There isn’t really a limit on who can come or not, considering the more they have the safer they will be with what I have planned. So it’s all good if there are any final additions. We won’t always be grouped up together I don’t think so it gives us plenty of company when we’re in smaller groups. Most of the time we’ll be together though. And only a the end of it will basically be in the enchanted lands. So most of this is in the medieval times of the human world. Just so the players know what they are getting into.
Ghosties:
Madison Enright – Stripped of her powers and lost in a world where she is unseen by any other then Frostbite and Garnet. Madison will have to come to realize with how strongly – or how vaguely – her life, and ultimately her death, effects others.
Garnet Ferelle– In charge of forming a fellowship out of this wayward two… seems she keeps getting these almost impossible tasks forced upon her, both in life AND in death!
Anna Drake (Frostbite) – Although with the set back of being dead, Frost is going to remember what it was like not to be so ‘cold’. Like Madison, she’s going to realize how much, or how little, her life meant to others.
Matt doesn’t want Garnet to be involved in any criminal actions or lies, so I say we kill her off, problem solved!
While this story seems oddly out of place, we have managed to effortlessly link it together with what is occurring. I’m going mostly on what Matt and Loza discussed with me and additionally some of it I thought up while typing now…
The whole point of this is to bring the three rivals together, it will of course be quite humerous I’d imagine to have the three of them working together. But surprisingly Garnet is the key to this teamwork, as she has a very ooooold casual friendship with Madison that hasn’t been played on much since they went shopping or… whatever it was that Matt mentioned in one of his posts a while back regarding Garnet’s thoughts on Madi!!
And Frostbite and Garnet had that thing with Max… poor Maxie… sort of a brought together in a way they can both mock Chadstone and yet never buddied up. So it isn’t as impossible as it may seem!! This begins simultaneously with the trip to the past.
Anyway! I’m not going to get into details on this storyline, I remember what Loza and Matt had wanted in general, well Matt wanted the whole unity thing so that’s that, but other ideas had also been sawn together and they will be revealed during play!
Character Groups on the Run:
Racheal’s Group:
Racheal – Taking charge of this group of introverts by using her street smarts and years of experience avoiding the law.
Hope -
Hannah -
Connor – Although considered a powerful mutant, Connor will be recovering from a multitude of accidental incidences from his time with Amlarie’s people. His time with Amlarie was spent as an amnesiac with his powers suppressed in an attempt to allow him a normal life. So now he’s confused, unsure of himself, and coming to terms with not only being a mutant, but the powers that are anything but easy to deal with. (such as his potent senses and of course the metallic claws)
Catherine -
Charlotte – Going to finally see what it’s like to be part of this mutant lifestyle, also going to start to come to terms with her own mutancy (At least I hope)… even if she is clueless on how to access her abilities.
Kaitlyn –
? -
Words from Racheal’s Player (Rebecca):
Also possibly new person depending if they decide to join. I *might* be able to squeeze one or two people in, but I need to quickly say that they will be wandering the streets and I'ld prefer not to have any *currently* strongly willed (in favor of the institute etc. Hard to explain lol.) or strong powered charries. Unless their unwilling to use them <powers> at the moment.
(Angie: Consider most of the group as loners who don’t really enjoy being alone as much as they believe or just aren’t able to click with people even when they try. They are lost in the world or aren’t sure of their place, so having someone with iron will and utterly loyal towards the institute will cause that person to be out of place and may result in others not exactly being able to shine through – remember these people are too used to taking the back seat or silent route if given the chance)
Spike:
Hearing the trouble at the school, he’s of course going to get his butt over there within the week and try and rip his way towards Rogue’s location. Anyone he finds on the way is most likely to join them – he’ll be taking them back to the Renaissance Hotel for their protection. Slayers and other members of the Renaissance are most likely going to be there with him when he arranges the break out, even if it’s just a distraction while he slinks around (after all, no one is aware he can shift into animal forms but the few who saw him accidentally do so!)
Ryan Warner’s Seven year old Daughter:
Lady’s requested one of the groups to let her tag along. Any group I make up Lady that you think you’d like her to join, feel free to ask for her to be part of it if you have no other options available or think it would suit her best!
Dawn/Scott:
Although separately, both will make their way towards the Harmony University. Since Scott wouldn’t really be permitted to just invite a group of humans into his world, he’d first have to arrange it, so he’ll take whoever he finds to the enchanted school while starting up discussions with his family and friends about calling for some help – remember they are dealing with their own problems so it’s not just as simple as ‘sure hon, we’ll be right over.’ But for any interested in some more pleasant side story aside from the criminal happenings going on, then stroll over here! After all, not everyone will enjoy Rping their characters going through such hard times, especially if they want their charries to have a break.
Storm & Jean: Gathering and guiding those who got out, plotting and planning to free those who are being held prisoners in the mansion...(Considering the two are best friends, and with Jean’s current situation with Scott, I think it’s save to say that the two could logically be together when this occurs)
Prison and Trail:
Obviously Matt Murdock would have to be at the trial. Cole also, though someone may replace him if he has… other commitments…
Jacob
Jack
Jess?
Pyro
Wes
(Might end up with Riley here…not sure if I want him involved with another group or anything, he might be more focused on searching for Catherine’s whereabouts which could lead him to being captured again. If he does take leadership of a group that he helps leave the school, then he’d worry about their safety first – or eventually find a someone else (Storm perhaps?) to dump them on!)
School and Captivity:
Rogue
Matt (Before and after he returns from the storyline I assume for now! Lucky him!)
Riley – Only before the trip to the past, after that he manages to get away, taking whoever else with him if he can.
All people involved in the trip to the past will be captured at the school – so be sure to be around the institute.
Theo
Ryan Warner? – Or did you want him in prison, I was a little unsure!
Tempest and Murray: Well… isn’t this a recipe for disaster? Let’s is if they can survive each other long enough to survive the demonic overlord.
Lady’s Spare Charries:
Casey's smart enough and his powers are enough to get him away so he'd be with some group.
Lexi could be valuable if she managed to escape because of her powers so for keeping tabs on the others plus she's still nervous when it comes to leading or even following others in field situations.
Drian and Aisha would both escape because of their otherworld training experiences. Drian could lead his own group if wanted/needed, he might actually in a twisted way enjoy being a leader again since he vaguely misses that control and rebellion. They'd stick together for sure.
Loni can go either way, if she was following someone strong enough she'd manage but if not she wouldn't. She'd not the biggest survivor alone.
Julian needs some damage, he's another possible target afterall he has to deal with his anger in order to control his powers which are so random.
Karen’s Spare Characters:
Ben: well this is still undecided mainly because his whereabouts will be affected by where other characters are. Soooo for the moment I don't know where the poor boy is going to end up.
Friends on the Outside:
Johnny Smith. (They’d be unaware of their daughters theoretical death for a good while however…)
Any more details are gladly appreciated! I know I have more staff members, but as you can imagine I haven’t thought up all things I want my charries to be involved with - *Looks at horde of nervous charries waiting for their version of doomsday* - In most cases I may just have them either captured or flee depending on what is going on with whoever is involved. Sorta like Karen’s ‘Ben’ character. I really don’t want to plan every aspect of my characters roles, a few surprises could be good for me!
Some characters I have a general knowledge on what is going to be involved with them and I have mentioned that so people get an understanding for the group they may take part in if they desire. Also it may be useful later on when some groups may want to run across each other.
ALSO AN IMPORTANT NOTE: Everyone aware of Arisa and Madison’s theorized deaths, please reframe from mentioning it towards Connor during play, as this will be highly traumatic and make him nearly impossible to continue running around with the group, thus ruin what ever progress they have made as a team. I doubt they’d run into someone aware of his family’s ‘loss’ but if it does somehow happen then try and find ways of avoiding mentioning this vital information. Of course there will come a time where it will be unavoidable, but make sure to discuss things with me before making any mention of such horrific news where Connor can hear it! Loza and I have organized the result of his reactions, so… we can’t have them occurring earlier then planned, otherwise it will be hiiiiiighly problematic >>…
Information will be added when more becomes available! I’m glade people are taking a liking to the new story, I only hope we can keep things running as smoothly as possible during its play!
The Sensations of Humanity:
Emotions are almost unbearable. How do people go about their every day lives with such burdens weighing them down? How do they fight, how do they love? Every action causes an emotional reaction, and while I always knew this, I never realized how strong these reactions would be. Was I really that far gone in the Initiative to be so blind to my own lack of sensations?
Dr Hank McCoy & Teachers:
The school doctor doesn’t really strike me as someone I can buddy up with, then again I feel that way with the entire staff. I know I never really got to know the Professor, but Xavier had this look in his eyes when he spoke with me, it’s like he knew exactly who I was and still let me into his home, into his dream, his private paradise from the outer world. In many cases he usually can see right through people, but I know if he did see through my lies and deception, it wasn’t with his powers, it was only with his intellect and heart.
What is the Doctors views on me however? I think everything is starting to unravel, past secrets slowly coming into light. How will the doctor, no, how will the entire school react to knowing that my only reason to coming here was to spy on the people they cared for and protected?
Re: Criminal Offences Storyline - Character Groups
Okayies. This is a completely random post in the fact that it isn't really needed, but thought it might be worth mentioning abit about what my characters are actually going to either learn or reasons etc:
Racheal: Will realise she would willing give everything to protect these people, even if she doesn't consider them as friends, everything including breaking her own morals. Also, she will be forced to re-address her beliefs on friendships, and possibly actually learn what having a friend is all about (awww) Also, considering I would guess there would be questions from the others, she will actually have to address her past.
Hannah: Actually has little to do in this lot, kinda just got dumped with Racheal coz I couldn't see her going anywhere else lol. But perhaps she will learn that she can let her bubbly teenage personality through without hurting people for a change ~ though that is starting at the institute already. PLus she will build a more positive view on mutants in general. But nothing specific to CO. (Actually, she'll be more upset about Wes than anything).
Wes: *rubs hands together lol* Okay... Now, Wes (and Hannah) already knows he would do anything to save her, so it doesn't come as a shock when he is captured making sure she gets to safety (least, that's how I would like to play it). Whilst in jail, he's going to have to try and face up to who he is, and try and convince them that he is with the government. Also, (unknowingly? Need to ask you about this at some point actually Angie), Wes should properbly bumb into Darien (or whatever his name is now lol) (his father) during this, which could develop quite nicely. The main part for Wes (other than the bit with his father) will properbly come at the end though, staying as a student so he can look after Hannah (details still being decided on).
Okay, so my normal babble above can be summerised if you like... but as ever I'm not going to bother lol. See... pity Racheal. Not only does she end up leading a team (how does that girl get into these siutations?!) but she also has to sort out her own life lol. I may need someone to actually explain even a dictionary term of what a 'friend' is to Racheal... *will be covered at later date* awww
Angie, nice sum up of what I meant *looks impressed that someone actually understood her* Yeah, so no 'Lets go Save Institute & Kick Peoples Butts' Charries please lol. Socalites need not apply. hehe.
See, I pity Racheal but not Wes (Hannah doesn't need it). Racheal is going to be stuck trying to teach people the way of the streets, keep them alive and have to deal with 4 actors/stage hands for Evelyn's story line lol.
I think that the end of my random babble lol. *still refuses sum up and therefore repetition, despite urge to*
"Would you risk your all for those who need you? No matter who?"
Re: Criminal Offences Storyline - Character Groups
*stares at long posties and hopes she can finish reading a replying before 10 O'clock*
Edit: Okay so that didn't work out and I'm finishing my reply now but hey in between I got a really good episode of MI-5 in so I'm happy
Pfft I always fret whether neccessary or not, I am a not so proud worrywort over ever little thing! Okay good to know that she can still go, I'd really love for her to meet a faery or have some sort of connection to her heritage/past while in the distant past and then going with Scott when she gets back can seal that connection to her faery side. Sounds good to me and I'm glad nothing has to change!
Human world past sounds good to me, I'm very into more ancient history (doesn't care about Canadian or more recent history so much) and while Tess is by no means a me character she's one charrie who I have more in common with than some so she'd find it enlightening.
For the criminal storyline:
Kaitlyn - She's been acting her whole life until she began to forget who she really was. With this group and faced with the possibility of actually having influence and making aquaintances if not friends she'll have the chance to begin finding herself along the way.
Thanks Angie about Lily-Rose (Ryan's daughter), I'll give it some thought and stick her in somewhere
Think I'll dump Jakey from the Trial part and lump him in with those in captivity instead actually. Considering he doesn't have anything shady about him except his weird attitude and haircut compared to Jack (gambling) and Jess (theft) he doesn't really seem to fit in with the criminal types and putting him in a jail would be every bit as bad for him.
Yah I'll put Ryan in prison so that he can distract from his daughter and the others, aww sweet of him to sacfrice his freedom for her.
Oh and I've decided for sure I want Drian/Promotheus to lead a team of some sort, Aisha on it with him. Aside from that, if it's okay that he has a group, I'll have to think on it but as for himself he's actually glad to be in charge and to have some actual responsibility. Since his life was mostly spent fighting real evil this is kind of a chance for him to recapture his glory days since he seems to forgotten all the Hell that he went through there. This means that over the course of the trip he'll be getting things in perspective and realising just how lucky he is to be here and not in Lost Angels. If it's okay for him to lead and if anyone else wants to join be my guest - possibly grittier at least mentally tough characters (some loners possibly) who don't really appreciate things at the institute or in their lives and who would gain some perspective might make good additions to a group(?) if there are any such charries.
Re: Criminal Offences Storyline - Character Groups
*looks about lazily* .. meh.. if you couldn't think of anything for Matt to add to the trip to the past thingy, how should I?? I mean, I spent the weekend with three and a half drunken blokes (one wasn't entirely wasted) ... and no, nothing happened... at least nothing worth mentioning -_-"
Anyways, sounds all good to me! *nods* I'm really drawing a blank on what we actually discussed about the ghost thing but I have the feel it'll all come back to me...eventually..

Catching bits and pieces of "Criminal Offenses" news, I'm all tingly about it. Going on what I know, I've come up with nothing certain for any of my characters. Yet I'm posting here anyway.
Will Taylor/Maggott II - Depends on the state of Maverick come CO time. If they're not active yet I'll most likely write him off as still traveling overseas. *shakes his head* He was supposed to be my flagship... flagcharacter... something like that. Ah well. Best for last.
Alfonse D. Kennedy/Dekay - Most likely character of mine to be arrested, but I'm not sure if the Brotherhood will be suffering a raid as well. It'd be interesting to see how the captured kids from the Institute receive him after the 'hood crashed their training mission. It looks as though the BH won't suffer a direct raid, but if he's out and about in the city it's quite possible he could be picked up. D.K., however, would like to mimick Mareesa's "depends on how the training goes."
Blair Gibson/Backfire - I believe I'm pulling her from the thread in New York, as Sley the Shark has been AWOL for a good while now. If Dekay's arrested, she'd fall in with whatever remains of the Brotherhood.
Kisho Suzuki - Again "if Dekay's arrested," Kisho'd escape the school. Foreign student with no record, I'd imagine he'd be overlooked pretty easily. Then again, if the Brotherhood remains intact I'd like to find a way to send him to jail just to spread my characters around as much as possible.
I'm being greedy and throwing my characters in as many directions possible, not that I expect much from them (I've got to get cracking on personal storylines). If anyone can think of a use for them, do tell. Otherwise they're rolling with the punches for my own amusement.
I believe Angie made mention of my CO charrie ideas - yes, they're in the works. The majority of my hecticity (That's a word now, at least.) has subsided with the my relationship's anniversary, though school starting and my birthday (both the 20th) may sidetrack me another day or two. Not entirely relevant, just a personal aside.
Fr. Strauss & his church will be some degree of sanctuary for any escapees looking for a place to hide. Maybe someone needs a bit of religion in these troubled times? In the long run the church will hopefully be a meeting point for some of the different aspects of NE that don't normally cross. Or it'll just sink into despair once it's moment of use is gone. *evil laughter*
Mmm... yes... nasties. *rubs his hands together* I'll be putting in an app for a hunter-type baddie. Probably some mercenary in permanent gov't employment. Should other folks be interested, he'd be willing enough to have a few partners. The more nasties we've got running around, the more muties that'll be occupied.
I've no one specific in mind to interact with the priest or the nastie, so anyone who wants to take me up on it is welcome. Perhaps some of the other folks new(ish) to NE need something to do? Of course any characters that just want to get dusted off are welcome too.
Re: Criminal Offences Storyline - Character Groups
Cooking up something with Mandra... What I am thinking is that after the memory alteration that Jarod had made onto her somehow goes to pieces and the truth is just kicked up in Mandra's face. She of course gets pissed but not so much at Jarod but at herself that he had felt he had ti resort to such things.. Then the whole forgetting everything with Gambit in this dimension and having actually felt uneasiness towards him (due to the earlier illusions that she had been seeing) just adds onto her stresses.
Then it comes to the point where she finds herself thinking that she just must not have been ment to be there at the mansion or with the X-Men... That she was supposed to be with Magneto instead... Her prooving herself of that by thinking about what had happened in her own dimension and what had just happened in this one.
So-- Pretty much I'm planning on Mandra leaving the X-men and seeking out Magneto after her real memories jump right in.
*points at picture below*
Not sure on if she'll actually stay there perminantly, due to her having been pretty much raised up on the opposing side. Dun dun duuunnnn~ Anyhoo.. That's what I can think of at the moment. A little scatterbrained right now due to too much hot chocolate and cookies.
*edits in stubborn siggy* No kitty Noooooooooo!

Re: Criminal Offences Storyline - Character Groups
As for me.......well Matt Murdoch is spoken for and Scott Summers is going down!! Soooooooo Talking to Jenn about a place for Michael and as for Hank...........he's gone to ask Zia if she had anything in mind - about the storyline!! Geeze you guys!!
Re: Criminal Offences Storyline - Character Groups
I'm thinking that something will happen to make Zia "realize" that humans haven't changed a bit since before she woke from that long sleep. That she will think that the reason she was placed into this life was to pass judgement on Humanity and then take action..... It'd have to be something that would get to her though.... A personal assault or one to Hank.
But until then she's tolerating them. This is just to tell that the ropes that hold Zia restrained from just trying to kill every human she crosses are frayed to strings and she had a very big chance of snapping... She'll either go tot he Brotherhood or be on her own until another anti-human affiliation comes across her....
Oh, there is also the chance that Zia would turn agains Mutant-kind too..... But that's take something like her being betrayed by one she's grown close to.... I dun think it's very likely but it's always possable.
-- Sorry for neglecting posting about Zia in here. ^^; I overlooked her for some odd reason or another.
In other news though xD I am thinking about Lorili being with the X-Men.. Ah, finally one of my characters that won't be turning their back on them
Re: Criminal Offences Storyline - Character Groups
Just in case somebody wants to refer to it again, here's the old thread for the CO - recovered.
There comes an age when people have to take over responsibility. It remains the question whether there is also a time when they can get rid of it again.
Re: Criminal Offences Storyline - Character Groups
Hello everyone. It looks like I’m going to be approved as Bishop and the CO storyline is obviously going to suit my character because he is of course a law enforcement officer. My plan is for Bishop to become a teacher at the school ideally. He’s known to many of the senior members of staff and has a lifetime’s worth of experience to pass on. How would I go about making this happen? Is it possible at all? (Obviously you might already have a full staff). Are the characters I need to offer Bishop a job free and are they willing to help me out?
CO Storyline
I have a few thoughts on how Bishop and the lawless District X would fit into the CO storyline.
Bishop would be at the school when the attack occurred but would not yet have been officially unveiled as one of the mansion’s staff. He would engineer a breakout using his powers and any students who are going to be one of the Roamers would be welcome to come with him.
Bishop is going to go to District X, the mutant ghetto. He’ll be able to find anyone who needs a safe house a place to hide. This is the one place in the USA everyone will be sympathetic to their plight. Having said that, your characters will find it’s one of the most difficult places to live on the planet.
I’d like Bishop to be involved in providing a haven in District X for some of the students to hide out while this all blows over. If the teams are changing, I could definitely see a new team rising out of this idea. I see the fugitives gathering together and surviving a brush with A corp, before co-ordinating their efforts with Ororo’s Hope mission.
Even if you aren’t involved in Bishop’s breakout, (but it would be lovely if someone was,) District X is a natural place for any character to have a friend who can give them a place to crash until everything blows over…
If anyone has got any better ideas, or some feedback, I’d be delighted to hear them. District X could serve as a great base to coordinate the X men’s retaliation.
Also, thinking about the ‘Padre’ idea, is the Hell’s kitchen locale absolutely necessary, because if it’s in District X then there’s our sanctuary.
Anyway just some thoughts,
From Pete.
Re: Criminal Offences Storyline - Character Groups
Right, I've added a veeeery short summary of your idea to my info thinger (plot things) and started a new sub-group for him. We really are going extremely slow as far as overall participation is concerned at the moment so don't worry if there's not a lot of replies for some weeks. That's normal
I think my characters are all planned out, but I'm quite sure that Angie and Lady still have plenty that they don't know what to do with
I do think that Bishop could have a teaching position (we don't really play out classes so it's more of a "keeping it logical" thing than anything else. We do have enough language teachers etc., but I think e.g. Wolverine could need some support when it comes to combat training... or whatever you think would fit really. I think English/literature/drama/languages in general are the only subjects that have more than enough teachers.
Angie might want to throw Jean Grey your way. She's the current headmistress in charge... though what with Scott kinda... um... dying she might be a little distracted *lol*
"Will you be the one to lead me out of my shell? And show me ... show me myself?"
Re: Criminal Offences Storyline - Character Groups
Any help is appreciated. I've got an entry planned out, alls I need is for any canon who knows Bishop, or a high-ranking member of the school, to tell me WHEN to post so I know there's someone available to meet me. The Wolverine idea sounds ideal for Bishop. He's always been one of the toughest X men and can certainly pass on a few tips. If Wolverine felt that he didn't need any extra help then Bishop would probably be qualified to teach law or something along those lines. Maybe because he's a devoted student of Xavier's dream he could also teach philosophy or something of that nature. Ideally though I'd like to teach kids to kick ass with Wolvie.
My idea is that Bishop would call ahead, he's obviously got the number, so someone would be expecting him. He obviously knows all the canon characters, although with Matt Murdock and Peter Parker it's more likely he'd know of them or had fought alongside but is not likely to have had any kind of personal relationship with them.
Re: Criminal Offences Storyline - Character Groups
Okay a few minor thingys to put in here. I wasn't sure whether to post in this thread or the Plot one but hey I figure Matt and some other people will read both...right?
Annyway first Matty if you wanted to edit and make a few changes for me that would be great in the Plot thread. I'm gonna drop Jacob before Criminal Offences because I just don't feel like I've got a hold on him and I feel he's becoming more of a characature than a real person. He'll be written out before so if you want to take him out of Logan's cell that would be great thankies.
Loni will be gone too but I don't have her planned for anything so it's all good.
I think that if it's okay with everyone I'd like to stick Casey in with Paige and Michael. I can really see his powers making him one of those who escapes and it would be nice to get him some friends. Particularly since he knows Paige from Exiles it might be a good match up to put him with someone he already knows.
The District X idea I think is really interesting and as suspected I do have some loose charries and I'd love to be a part of this idea. In particular I'm leaning towards Jess who needs a good wake up pinch or slap to the face so he'll snap out of his attitude problems and grow a little and I think District X might be good for that.
I've also got Michael, whose bio I intend to finish shortly, to throw in somewhere and he could fit just about anywhere. Being stuck in a jell with other people driven crazy by numbers is a tempting idea but I also like the ones of possibly throwing him in with District X and/or Frank's priest idea for a little bit of the spiritual and some character development there since I love his "on demand" idea too.
Yup that was a bit of babbling, just thought I'd mention that I am still thinking about stuff and I haven't abandonned my charries for the next storyline or anything. Those are my updated thoughts anyway so if anyone wants to join me with either concept or to expand on it that would be great, Jess and Michael need company!
Re: Criminal Offences Storyline - Character Groups
As far as Bishop goes, I'm looking for him to take a special interest in a troubled student and Jess could be ideal. Once I find a way into the mansion I'll come up with a few more details... The District X thing will be an interesting baptism of fire for any inexperienced students or those with attitude problems.
