"Thanks Murray, that would good, help Tempest settle in, it's always good to have friends at a new place like this. We had better make a move, i expect the Professor is expecting us."
The three set off down the bussling corridor, by now the sun was fully revealed in the sky, its warm rays beating down through the window and warming the mansion from its high up point above the planet.
"So Murray, how are you doing, haven't seen you around for a while?" Bobby asked, noticing Tempests look of being uncomfortable around all these people.....
Re: accepted?I never said anything about being a friend Murray thought before he could stop himself. He immedietly felt bad but then again he was just being honest. Friendship was further down the line if in the forcast at all.
Murray turned his attention to Bobby though and said, "My power control has improved if that's what you mean. The Professor has helped alot but I still need more practise and time before it's under complete control. As for in general I'm doing well, partly because of the power issue although Storm's still piling on the homework as usual."
The younger mutant remembered his manners though and quickly asked, "How are you doing? I haven't seen you around that much either."
Re: accepted?
(ooc)Back guys hopefully Ill catchup and thanks for understanding *gives all of you a big hug*Sorry couldnt help myself
Shalimar had been quiet throughout the meeting of these new faces....mostly because it was hard for her to trust people.Finally she had gotten enough confidence to speak up.
"Im sorry for bein the quiet one here my names Shalimar,Shalimar Creed."
Re: accepted?
Murray raised one eyebrow at Bobby.
"Well at least this one has a real name," he said and looked over at Shalimar.
"So you have a name, all you need to win the competition of truth is your reason why you're here," he said, somewhat cruelly although it wasn't intended to be cruel.
Re: accepted?
Bobby shot a slight glance of disaproval at Murray's comments, neither he or Murray knew the circumstances behind Tempest's reluctance to open up to them, but it wasn't an excuse to be rude.
But Bobby could also see it from Murray's point-of-view, all they had done was be kind to Tempest but it had been recieved with a cool reply. He put all these thoughts to the back of his mind for now, maybe he could speak with Murray later about it, maybe Murray knew something he didnt.
He turned to Shalimar, the young woman suddenly finding her voice;
"Oh good, you do speak." Bobby joked with a big grin, "Well, im Bobby, or Iceman. We are on our way to see Professor Xavier, and seeing as your new also you should come with us, he will wish to speak with you."
The three began back down the corridor, things had calmed slightly now, a number of the students had walked into classrooms, dorms or social rooms, and the mansion had quietened now, only a few people milled about as the three walked;
"Sorry Murray," he said remembering the young mans question, "i am fine, training hard, helpin out students, busy, but fine." he smiled.....

(OOC: 'sok, Inferno, guess it's no prob to re-integrate your character...
ah, and 4of12? those are 4 characters walking... not 3... sorry to be that pedantic ^-^;
-------------------------------------------------------------------
"Nice to meet you" Tempest said calmly to Shamilar, trying to push his pessimistic attitude away but not really managing to.
*'friend' he said. How can someone I just met be my friend? What does that term mean anyway? Someone close whom you'll hurt sooner or later?
Or hurts you? Gosh, I'm in serious need of some psychologist. Wonder how Melody's doing...*
Kane's thoughts jumped from one topic to another as he followed Bobby through the crowded corridors.
*If someone planned on commiting a massacre... it'd be so easy...*
The part of him that had been trained an eternity ago in Apocalypse's "boarding-school" studied the building's structure and made up strategies for
both, defence and invasion, while the other was just wondering what would happen next.
As they walked, fewer people just stood around chatting and the white-haired realized the considerable dimensions of that building; looked
inconspicuously from one side to the other and asked himself why he kept on finding his brain analyzing the others' physical strengths and weaknesses.
He couldn't stop himself from doing it, not even Kiras had been able to erase or overcome that part of himself.
Continuing on their way, Tempest wondered whether he should say something...
"So..." ,he began slowly, "what's that training like? A-and homework?!" Kane raised an eyebrow at Murray whom he addressed as he had brought up
the topic "like Bobby making a dozen ice cubes or what?"
Re: wandering
Murray grinned for the first time as he turned to Tempest and answered the white haired mutant's question.
"Training's always difficult. The Prof is great, just tough enough so you push yourself. He usually works on control though. Physical training is Wolverine's area though and if you get him watch out. I've heard students say they'd rather jump of a bridge than have another training session with Wolverine," he said, only half joking.
"Homework's not half bad really. I mean there's always the traditional pile on but nothing so terrible," Murray finished.
Re: wandering
"Physical training? Now that's somethin' I didn't expect..." A smile appeared on Kane's face. *At least something I can handle... let's see what those years on the street plus those years before were worth....*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Life can be like a stone thrown in the sea. It creates waves, maybe changing something, maybe not, but no matter what it causes, every single wave will disappear into nowhere... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Re: wandering
Bobby smiled as the group began to chat a bit more freely; It's just a matter of time He thought to himself.
"Hey, its not all about physical trainin though, to master your powers fully, you've got to understand them, you have to train your mind to use them as an extension of your body. Oh, and i can make things alot better and bigger than ice cubes, dont cross me." Bobby joked, a slight laugh releasing from his lips.....
Re: wandering
"Actually it's probably better not to cross anyone here...at least until you know what all their powers are," Murray added.
"We'll see how well you handle physical training with the X-men soon enough..if the Professor accepts you of course," which Murray stressed as a big if.
Unfortunently for him he thought Tempest would be accepted pretty easily. The Professor had an open mind and never gave up on anyone, especially when there wasn't even proof that the person in question had done anything wrong.
on their way...
(OOC: 4of12, I posted my sample post @the kitchen. it takes place the night before so I might have Rogue refer to it later on... or maybe you want to. your decision!)
"I see..." Distracted by his own thoughts, Kane remained silent for a little.
*I wonder what that prof guy is like.... old and fuzzy? senile? or the opposite? can one stay sane anyway having the ability to read each and everyone's
mind?*
(OOC: Ok, my character did, thought and saw everything I planned, hence, I'm ready to meet up with Xavier.... who we luckily have! hey great, I thought the admins would NPC him!)
Re: on their way...
The four people chatted quietlky until they approached a large dark wooden door;
"This is it." Bobby said, "Ill just check its ok for you to meet now, and then your both well on your way to enrolling here." Bobby grinned as he spoke, "Im sure you'll both love it here."
Bobby walked toward the door and raised his hand, scrunched into a fist, and knocked on the door lightly with his nuckles...
