First meetings ....
ooc: Please note this is a private thread between myself and Angie and is set during the two month leap or so at Christmas
The cinema was one of those large multi screen affairs; the one's where they had two floors, which could be reached either by means of the tall escalators or a flight of stairs. Everything was new and flashy, there were huge banners and posters up advertising the films that were due out soon or were showing at the moment. Near the door there was a life size cut out of a man who was featuring in a film that was displayed upon a banner behind him. There was a whole section of the huge entrance section that was dedicated to Hagen das the ice cream company who charged three dollars just for the privilege of sitting in and eating some of their ice cream before the film started. Then there was the booth where you paid for your tickets and then a sweets and drinks section you had to pass though before you could reach the screens or the beginning of the escalator.
Two weeks had passed since Cat had returned from Iowa and from the outside she looked almost better again. When she walked she only had a faint limp that would fade over the next few weeks as she started to move around more. Her whole attitude was a lot more depressed however; everything she seemed to have gone though all appeared to have caught up with her at the same time. On top of all that no one at the school seemed to want to talk to her, the girls shunned her because they'd found out what she'd done to Riley and the guys either considered her to be easy if they liked that sort of thing or a slut if they didn't agree with sleeping with someone out of marriage. If she'd had anywhere to go she'd have gone, but it didn't help that Cat had been avoiding Angela and the others like the plague. She was terrified that they'd have a go at her about what had happened. Inside she felt like it was her fault she'd lost her child and ruined Riley's life so it made sense to her to think that others would assume that about her too.
She'd managed to find a job working in a star bucks in the mall in Salem centre. The woman who was the store their had given her the job more on the fact that Cat had looked so wretched and from where Starbucks was you could see most of the mall and the woman had been able to see the young girl traipsing from shop to shop asking if there were any jobs going. She was only on a trial period though, the woman Jacqueline had made it perfectly clear that she ran a tight ship and that if Cat wasn't up to the cut she wouldn't hesitate in sacking her. Her first week had been the Saturday just gone and Cat hadn't found it too bad, the people there had treated her like she was normal for a start and a couple of them had even been more than just nice to her in an effort to make her feel welcomed.
Since she was working on trial she was being paid for each days work so she had a money for the first time in about a month, Cat had forgotten how good it felt as well to be able to buy herself things and treat herself. She'd bought herself a book of how to look after horses even though she wasn't sure she'd still be getting one since her and Riley had split up. She wasn't even sure if he was coming back from Iowa or not, he might decide just to stay up there.
In an effort to cheer herself up further she'd decided to come to see a film at the cinema even though she did feel lonely and a bit as if she stuck out because she was by herself. There was a long line and Cat was somewhere near the middle of it, she had the phone out Riley had given her, she still wasn't sure how to work it properly but it had Riley's face on it and sometimes when she felt lonely she could get out her phone and pretend that things were still alright between the two of them and that if she just called him up he'd come and make everything inside her that felt like it was breaking apart alright again. At the moment she could just pretend that he was off getting popcorn or that she was waiting for him to walk through the doors behind her.
Her eyes seemed to subconsciously wander around behind her towards the door, her heart suddenly leaping into her throat and then plummeting again as she saw that Riley and some of the others had just walked through the door. There was a sudden flush to her cheeks ... he was here! ... it was him! She turned back around again and tried to slink out of sight behind a couple of men who were standing behind her. He was back here, he'd come back, inside she felt all of a whirl, with the sharp knowledge that she still loved him, but the painful realisation that he wasn't hers anymore, and the fact that he probably wouldn't forgive her brought her smashing back down again. She was suddenly horribly nervous, what if they saw her? she wasn't sure who he'd been with and she was too afraid to turn around in case he saw her. Back in Iowa he'd been polite but she could tell she'd really hurt him with what she'd said and done and she knew saying sorry wouldn't just make it all better again. Riley didn't like TV and films so it didn't make much sense to her why he was here. She lifted one hand to play nervously with the end of some of her hair. He'd notice her, or one of the ohers would, she wasn't sure what would be worse though, if they ignored her or if they tried to come over and talk to her. She couldn't just dart out of the line and go somewhere else for the evening because they'd see her leave. But then again what were the chances of them actually going to see the same film as she was.
ooc: I'll let you decide who he was with from your extensive list of characters. I thought maybe they'd dragged him out here since he doesn't like to go out much. Oh and I hope you found this thread …. I tired to hide it well

-----------------------------
It was horrible, they where all trying so hard to be cheery for him, even Connor, who was missing a sister, had been making an extra effort not to look as if he wanted to leap off a bridge. Riley hated it, in fact he was pretty sure right now he hated them, hated the school, hated the way Forrest had tried to cheer him up by setting Riley on a date with some blonde cheerleader with red streaks in her hair. She looked ugly, Riley thought so any way, her hair was too light, her eye's wheren't brown, she was too tall, she was dresses that left nothing to the imagination, Riley had rolled his eyes and walked off the basketball court without saying a word. The gorgous Casey was left pretty speechless, especially since he tended to snap at her and the others who tried to talk with him. He wasn't even on the team until this morning, just watching them before while figuring out the rules and everything, they had no right to talk with him as far as he cared.
In truth Riley had wanted to stay in Iowa, but he stopped getting on with his parents, well.. more avoided them, stopped talking with them, blaming them for Catherine hating him again. But they kept trying to talk with him, everytime he went to get food in the kitchen, or they'd go and knock on his door when he decided not to leave his room for a few days. He left because of an argument he and his father had, Riley doesn't even remember what it was about, he was sure it started off because of something stupid, like when he was having a show and he forget to turn the hot water off so it boiled over and his father tried to remind him to turn it off and Riley acted as if the guy came at him with a chainsaw.
He only came back the other day, he'd been very angry and had locked himself in his old room only to be engulfted with images of Catherine. As a result he'd been hopping from one room to another, camping at Heath's room and then Connor's, not caring when they asked him to come out with them. What was the point of going out? It was only a way for human's to mingle and interact, he didn't want to socialize right now, but he couldn't be bothered yelling any more and they had been persistant that it was 'for the best' that he go out with them, as a form of celebration to getting a position on the team.
To make everything worse, he's been feeling sick, completely and utterly sick, he looked unwell as well, which had been one of the reasons his parent's tried so hard in talking with him. Because he felt so weak every time he picked up something he either was dropping whatever he was holding or breaking it, that had stopped now, but he had cut himself a few times when glasses cracked in his hands. It had been another way for him to avoid everyone though, hiding in the medical lab, he had been helping out there during the day while the cuts where being healed by the more advanced technique's of the school medical facility.
The nights where the worst, the long, frightening and lonely nights, when he did managed to fall asleep, which was usually only a matter of hours before he was meant to wake up, he had horrific nightmares. Riley wished he hadn't promised Graham and Forrest that he'd play on their team, he just wanted climb into bed at night and never wake up. The emotional malestorm inside him was making the remainder of the drugs he had from the initiative seem highly appealing right now. Understand recently that they where responsible for numbing his emotions so well, that's why he was having such a horrible time dealing with the constant problems Catherine was dishing out, what with running away from him repeatedly and screaming at him the way she did.
Arlen was with them, Scott and Heath as well, all three where mucking about in the line, due to Arlen's tail the group had a gap between them and the people behind them. The two Princes and the Knight where here with Connor who was showing them something human's do for 'fun', Riley had invited Forrest and Graham to join them since he wasn't in the mood for school student's company right now.
"Stop it, you're being annoying." Riley snapped iritably at the three of the guys who looked a little sulky that he had scolded them like that, he'd been short tempered all morning with them and everyone else around him.
"Rye!" Graham called from the back of the line, he and Forrest glancing about for their friend, Riley turning his head, just giving a slight motion of his hand to catch their attention. "That's our Rye, the bundle of never ending energy we all know and love." Graham said sarcastically to Forrest, though loudly enough for Riley's group to easily hear,
"Somehow I figured you'd be more excited about getting a part on the team, Finnster," Forrest added when they arrived to his side, Forrest hadn't been in the best mood with how Riley treated Casey and everyone else around him, mostly because they weren't used to Riley acting so rudely.
"Geeze Forrest, forgive me for not being filled with joy, perhape's now is a good time to remind you on the happening's of my life, or what's left of it, which isn't much." Riley replied bitterly, all three where tall, rather similar in height though Riley was just the tiniest bit taller then them.
"Hey, knock it off you two, we're here for a celebration, now, the team's cheerleader's are hunting you down Riley, they want to know if there's a chance you can organise cheer leading try-outs at the school, we reluctantly offered our services and expert opinion's on the matter." Graham offered a grin, after all, it wasn't the worst job in the world, watching pretty girls display their atheltic abilities and try and impress with their skills.
"I don't want to organize anything at the stupid school, they want recuits they get them theirselves." Replied Riley with still the bitterness in his voice, he hated how life was just moving on, how dare it, how dare they act as if everything was alright and normal.
"Why can't we ask the girls if they could help?" Connor asked, Riley through him an upset look since the feral knew that Riley was avoiding them, thinking they where all supporting Catherine and going to be shamed that he wasn't able to protect her and the child. And then on top of that Catherine just dumps him, he felt so used and humiliated, why would anyone want to have anything to do with him, he was already taken by someone, he already promised everything he ever had that was his to another. But she threw it all back at him didn't she? So what's the point of keeping the promises he made? ..He didn't really have any choice, even if he did try and date other girl's he'd get made if any of them tried to touch him.
"Yeah, we could ask Catherine, or the blonde chick, what's her name, or the girl we stole the phone off during Christmas," Forrest got a glare from Riley as well, more angry then hurt this time, but Graham explained that the couch needed the new girls by the end of the week otherwise they'd go to their first try outs with an incomplete cheerleader squad. Even if it was a month before they went to a real game that would actually need the girls, it would still be good if they could start practicing.
"Right, Catherine can barely walk and you want her doing back flips, besides, if I'm involved in the team she wouldn't want anything to do with it, I'll ask Lisa maybe..." Graham rolled his eyes slightly and looked away, he didn't think it would be so stressful to ask for cheer leader try-outs at the school.
"Hey, why don't we ask Catherine." Riley made an irritated noise in the back of his throat at the repeated question, he half thought that Graham was just saying that to annoy him. Wearing his dark blue jeans with a white long sleeved cotton top, the sleeves pushed up to his elbow's, his golden chain that Catherine had given him easily seen about the collar of his top.
"I said I'll ask Lisa." There was an agitated tone to his voice, all the stress and anger from the past year had been bottled up and now it was starting to boil over easily with his unusually short temper.
"Chill Rye.." Graham replied calmly, though irritated himself, looking over towards Catherine's form a little further up, "Hey, Miss Hall, may we join you?" Graham called out, and the realization that she was in the same area as him caused Riley to panic, turning his head away and half hiding his form behind the other two tall boys as if that might save him from suffering any further humiliation. As far as he was aware she was going to start snapping about him being around here, part of him felt as if he was invading her personal space just by returning to the school.
(That's perfectly alright, there was more I wanted to add, but I just wasn't sure how you might feel not having a post )
Re: First meetings ....
There was a type of trapped pannic building up inside her, what was she supposed to do? They'd catch sight of her eventually even if it was just when she paid for her ticket, she shuffled along with the que as it shortened, keeping her back to the boys that were behind her, hoping they wouldn't notice she was here. Part of her would have felt a little better if there were any of the girls with her, but she could hear from their raised and excited voices that everyone that had come out were guys. She sneaked a little glanced back up the line at them, Riley didn't look very happy, infact it looked like he was having a go at the others. Her eyes turned to look down at the mobile in her hands, looking at the picture of him that was on the screen, he looked so happy then ... she didn't know that it had been taken only a couple of hours after they'd made love.
"Hey, Miss Hall, may we join you?" Her back stiffened at the sound but she didn't turn around, scuttling to the side instead so that the men behind her were hiding her even more from their view. She didn't want to talk to them, she wouldn't know what to say. The fact that no one seemed to want to talk to her anymore and because he'd called out Miss Hall made her think that they only wanted to have a go at her about Riley. Well she didn't need to be yelled at, she was already sorry for what she'd done, couldn't they just leave her alone to get on with her life.
Part of her really didn't want to see Riley either, she was really sorry for what she'd said now when she'd found out that the doctors had asked him not to say anything about the fact that she'd lost her child. But she couldn't take back her hurtful words and though she'd tried to apologise to him once the words just seemed to come out wrong. He felt like a stranger now, like there was no way she could ever have felt all those things with him, as if they'd never been friends in the first place.
She didn't know what to say to him after she'd lost his child though, how could you even start saying sorry for doing something like that to someone. She knew how much the baby had meant to him and somehow she felt like it was her fault that she'd been shot. She was an agility mutant afterall, she was supposed to be able to dodge things like that. Her hand seemed to migrate to rest upon her stomach, it was hard to believe she'd ever been with child, to her it all seemed like a dream, along with everthing else to do with Riley and now she felt as if she'd just woken up. There was a bitter feeling inside her at the fact that nothing ever seemed to go right for her, it felt like the world was ganging up on her and she didn't have much left to live for. There was just some kind of hope that one day Riley might forgive her enough for them to at least be friends. She didn't think she could bear to see him date anyone else, to know that he was giving his love to anyone else than her. She'd be happy enough if he just stayed single and was her friend, she wouldn't ask for more than that.

Re: First meetings ....
There wasn't any responce, and in truth that just made Riley angrier, not only did she want nothing to do with him romance wise, she was ignoring his best friends as well as ignoring he was even in the area. Suppose it was better then her screaming at him.. but the silence was just as painful still, Riley found himself glaring in her direction, even if her body was obscured by others.
It was more a hurt glare then one of anger, he wanted so badly to start screaming at her, but then he'd be no better then her.. and he really didn't want to upset her in the ways she had seemed to enjoy doing to him regularly. Well, that's how Riley's coping right now, partially the reason why he's so angry, he's only focusing on all the terrible things, trying to coax himself into thinking that things will get better now she's left. But then he thinks if he had such a terrible time with her, why does he miss her so much, and all the good moments come flooding back to him, it makes him want to cuddle up to a pillow on his bed and curl under the covers and cry for days until it was all out of his system and he was over her and the pain was gone.
"Yeah, that's the girl who said she loved me, the one ignoring my existance." Riley snapped before shoving his way past Forrest and out of the line, his friend gave an irritated 'hey' in responce to the rude push he had just recieved, but Riley just stubbornly decided to ignore them from now on in, if Catherine was going to be in the area he didn't care, just like she didn't care about him being around.
"Geeze.. that guy need's a therapist," Forrest patted down the front of his olive green shirt, casting Riley an annoyed gaze as he watched the other man stalking off while they collected the tickets. "No candy for the grumpy boy! He is so grounded!" Forrest teased out loudly, Riley just looked more ticked off at that comment, instead staring off at something .. anything.. that was in a different direction to the line, Riley's arms folded and his expression angry and upset. Clearly stating he was going to remain like that for the rest of the outing, this was very sweet of them, bringing him here to see Catherine who he was already hurting over for her dumping him, where would they take him next, to a nursery so he could see other parents happily playing with their babies?
Connor stared at Riley's old friends for a moment, no one had actually bothered to introduce him to them.. he didn't even know why they where here, he assumed Riley called them. Everyone seemed to be having a really hard time with their partners right now, Connor had always been curious what it would be like to find someone to couple with, but recently he has found himself glade he never had to go through the stress that seemed to be involved in dating. Graham inched his way towards Catherine carefully, not wanting to upset her or anything, but she was a girl, and she went to the school, Riley was isolating himself so the guy was hardly reliable.
"Yo'," Graham flashed a rather nervous little smile, "Sorry to intrude.. figured you didn't hear me," He lied softly, of course she did, but with Riley being Mr Emotional it was easy for Graham to figure it's a good excuse on ignoring him, not realizing the two haven't seen each other since Iowa. "Sorry to hear what happened and all, but I was wondering if you'd mind chatting with some people at your school, I asked Riley but the guy is a little preoccupid.. he won't do it, I know, we'll go tot he gym and it'll be empty if it's left to him." Graham teased with a slight wave of his hand, "We just need a few girls to sign up for the squad, with Riley as part of the team again we figured some of the school students would be interested in joining." Graham didn't know that Riley hadn't had the time to tell Catherine about his plans to enroll into the new basketball team Graham and Forrest where on, nor did he know that Riley hadn't told anyone else either, so Cat wouldn't know what 'team' Riley was part of.
"Would you be able to? Even if it's just asking someone else to do it.. I promised and last thing I want is getting off on the wrong foot with the group." While Graham talked with Catherine, Riley, although he didn't look, though rather jealously that she had no right to talk with his friends and yet not with him.
Re: First meetings ...."Yeah, that's the girl who said she loved me, the one ignoring my existance." There was a rather pained expression that passed over her face at his cruel words, any hope that she might have had that they could become freinds again seemed to just evaporate into thin air. It seemed he was just going to be as horrible to her as everyone else was now his parents weren't around. There was the sting of tears in her eyes at his words ... sometimes it really did feel like the whole world was against her. She sneaked a little glance over at Riley, his face looked horribly angry, making him look more like Marc than the Riley she knew. She opened her bag and stuffed the phone back into the depths of it.
"Yo'," Her body seemed to flintch slightly as she heard Graham's voice in her ear. She couldn't pretend that he wasn't there anymore so she turned around to face him, trying to look as if she wasn't on the verge of tears. "Sorry to intrude.. figured you didn't hear me," Cat looked a little nervous, her hands pulling her thick black coat a little closer around her. "Sorry to hear what happened and all, but I was wondering if you'd mind chatting with some people at your school, I asked Riley but the guy is a little preoccupid.. he won't do it, I know, we'll go to the gym and it'll be empty if it's left to him." She looked down at the ground as he mentioned in one fell swoop that she'd split with Riley and lost her child. She felt a little bit suspicious as to why Riley's friends were talking to her. Cat didn't really have much of a clue what he was taking about since Riley had never told her about his descision to join the basket ball team.
"Would you be able to? Even if it's just asking someone else to do it.. I promised and last thing I want is getting off on the wrong foot with the group." She wasn't sure what he was asking her to do but she was sure anything that came from her wouldn't be taken very well by the rest of the school. Given a month or two they'd have forgotten all about what had happened to her, just at the moment she was the main topic of new and speculation.
'Uh..' There was an embaressed flush to her cheeks before she continued. 'No one really talks to me any more...' Her eyes seemed to dart over to look at Riley. It was a bit of a sweeping statement since there were people who did try to talk with her, it was just that Cat was avoiding everyone. She was cut short from whatever else she was going to say as the man who was selling the tickets impatiently asked her if she was planning on coming to see a film or not, because if not there were other people who wanted to buy one. Cat hadn't really looked Graham in the eye thought out their conversation but she met his gaze for a moment. 'Sorry.'
She turned away from Graham and handed the man over a note and hurriedly telling him the film she wanted to see. She looked across at Graham for a moment before limping off into the section where they had popcorn and sweets. She wished she'd never come here anymore, she wished there was somewhere else she could go where Riley wasn't. He looked so furious with her and she didn't think she could bear to look at him again.

Re: First meetings ....
ooc: Sorry I didn't get back on, my aunt didn't want me on till after 2am and now I only have 15 minutes to post
-----------------
There was a moment where Graham stared at Catherine's retreating form, then he glanced over towards Riley who was glaring off in some other direction. Riley was already feeling awful for having spoken so irritably towards Catherine ignoring his group. He wasn't used to feeling so short tempered and it was hard for him to deal with it, he was feeling so guilty over everything he was saying and doing and it was just making him feel and act worse.
It was a horrible feeling that crept over him as his eyes watched Catherine limp off, he should be beside her, she should be letting him hold her and comfort her, he needed to do it as much as he wanted to do it. Riley caught sight of Graham and Forrest motioning him to follow them, he trailed off after them rather miserably while the rest of the group moved to explore the candy store. Arlen and Heath especially seemed delighted by all the sweets, Scott himself had never had the chance to try them.
There was a long pause before Riley moved closer towards his group, Connor was explaining to the others how people obtained the sweets, Riley pulled out the wallet Catherine gave him and removed a few notes so that Connor didn't have to pay for the food as well. While they went off to hunt for sweets, Riley found himself staring at Catherine, he really wanted to go over there and say something, anything... even if it was just that he was sorry.. but he too scared to.
Re: First meetings ....
There was so much to choose from and before Riley and his friends had come in she'd been wondering what she should have but she seemed to have lost her appertite now. Her eyes darted around her, looking over a couple of girls that were gigging excitedly and looking over towards Forrest. They didn't seem overly interested in Riley, but then he was off sulking by himself. Cat couldn't help feeling guilty though since she was sure that Riley would have enjoyed himself more if she hadn't been here, but her thought was followed by the realisation that she was here first, they were the ones who'd just turned up.
She limped over to the cold drinks fridge and pulled it open, pulling out a bottle of icy chilled diet coke. The bottle made her hand feel cold as she joined the short que for the cash register. She looked up at a clock that was on the wall, she still had twenty mintues before her film started.
The cinema had seven screens in all so there was a good chance she hadn't come to see the same thing as the guys had, and even if they were in the same cinema it didn't follow that she'd be sitting anywhere near them. Her eyes seemed to wander around of their own accord, she could hear that the guys had come into the food court area. It wasn't fair that they sounded so happy, she'd been happy before ... and now she was just miserable and lonley. In truth if she'd asked Lisa the girl would have probably gone with her, the older mutant was more dissapointed with Cat than anything else, and she could sympathesise with her over the fact that it must be really upsetting that she'd just lost her child. But she was annoyed that Cat seemed to think pushing everyone away from her and isolating herself was going to help in any manner.
Her eyes found Riley was looking over at her, she could see he was wearing the chain she'd bought him for Christmas and he had the wallet she'd got him out. She turned red at being caught looking at him, her eyes turned away, looking down at the bottle that was held in her hands. He still looked really furious with her and she just wanted the line to hurry up so she could go and hide in the cinema.

ooc: I thought I removed the password.. well I removed it again, lol, sorry.
--------------
When her eyes wandered over towards him, Riley wanted to look away, but he was confused he ended up just staring until she looked away her on her own accord. He remained standing there for a moment longer, looking wretched and feeling even more awful then he looked. The worse part of it was that he had partially hoped that he would return and they could talk over things. But he was so angry, and he was hurt, everything felt so horrible and meaningless now, he knew she wouldn't want him back.. but when he looked at her all his thoughts of them got in his way, reminding him why he loved her.. what he had and lost again because he wasn't able to protect her.
'I choose you Riley."
He thought she had meant that she chose him to be hers, to be the man she'll marry, the man who'll father her children, who will share her home, her life.. But what had she really meant, when he needed her so badly, just to comfort him and hold him and cry with him, she just abandoned him again.
'I hate you!'
It hurt so much, and she said it so often, how could he have been so stupid, of course she'd hate him, how couldn't she hate what he was, who he was, the things he's done and things that have happened to her because of him and his past. The worse she yelled at him always where hurtful, and he thought if he just pretended she didn't say them it would go away, but the pain never left. He knew she was guilty about yelling at him sometimes, that's why he thought she didn't mean any of it.
'I love you.'
Did she really? He didn't know any more, she was so angry, she said such horrible things, this year was supposed to be such a lovely new year, they where supposed to start a new year better then any of the ones that have past. There had been a moment in his life where he thought she had died, a moment he thought she had been murdered in front of him, while he lay helpless on the floor. It had been the most horrific of moments in his entire life, worse then any drugging, any kidnapping, any abuse or captivity he has suffered, just the moment he thought she was dead, he wanted to go with her, he didn't want to live any more.
But then she lived, and he was so glade, even if he was devistated over the loss of his baby, he could have cope with it eventually if he still had her there to comfort him and tell him he hasn't lost everything, he still had her.. they'd have a family later. But she didn't, she did something worse then dying, she left him, left him so she could be with others, love others and have a family with someone else. Even if he did want to die, he'd still be left alone in death, no one he loved was dead, and those who where from his family he didn't even know, they wouldn't make up for the loss of Catherine, no one ever could fill up such a vast void inside of him.
He watched her again but only as a passing glance while turning his attention towards the others, he misunderstood the reason why she was ignoring them earlier, he figured she was pretending he wasn't around any more, as if she was already moving on, already forgetting about him and the promises she made him.. all of which she has broken as far as he cared right now at this moment. Which he couldn't help thinking, she promised to stay with him, and she left, every time after promising she wouldn't leave, she'd leave.
Riley handed over his money to Connor, not willing to approch the line and have her bluntly ignore him again, waiting for them to collect their sweets so they can move away from here.. leave Catherine to her own personal world where obviously he wasn't welcomed any more.
Re: First meetings ....
It all felt so horrible inside and she wasn't sure what to say or do, her eyes moved over towards the other boys, it seemed like Connor was ignoring her as well, there was the feeling of self pitty that ran though her followed by a surge of anger. What?... did they think just because she didn't come from a perfect middle class background that they could just treat her like she didn't even matter. It wasn't fair, she had hardly asked to be shot, it wasn't her fault everything in her life seemed to have fallen appart. She couldn't even really ride the horse Riley had bought her, it hurt too much to streatch her still healing muscles by doing something like that. Guinea was starting to feel the effects of being cooped up in a stable without exercise and she'd begun to start playing up in small ways, not letting Cat put her headcollar on, holding her head up out of Catherine's reach. There wasn't much Cat could do to stop her either especially when you coupled the fact that she was nervous and didn't realy know what she was doing with the fact that she couldn't streatch up far or move around too quickly because of her wound. Guinea would only get worse though, until she was far too much of a handful for Cat to look after.
Catherine handed over her money to the petite, blonde haired girl who was serving. The girl flashed her a well practised smile as she handed the agility mutant over her change. Cat glanced back at Riley but he wasn't looking at her anymore, his attention being taken up by Connor as he gave the younger boy some money.
Limping off Cat handed her ticket over to the attendant who was looking at Arlen's tail with a dubious look. That was the problem with working near the school, you were always getting weirdos that came in. He looked down at Cat with a freindly expression as he pointed out the screen she had to go into, not knowing that Cat was actually a mutant to. Cat hurriedly made her way down the corridor, her screen was on the bottom floor so she didn't need to take the escalator up.
She found a seat at the back of the cinema, almost in the corner where there wern't any other people. She hoped that they weren't seeing the same film as her, but there was a little part of her that wanted to see Riley again, even if he did seem to be ignoring her. She wondered if something had happened to him back in Iowa to make him so upset. They hadn't been fine before she' left but at least they'd been talking.
Cat: It feels like my world is slipping through my fingers and I don't know how to hold onto it
Re: First meetings ....
If Catherine knew Connor more then she would know that this was basically the peek of his social activities, the feral mutant rarely ventured out of the school now days, especially since the shooting at the Dying Star. He rarely talked to other people, and those he did talk to where only his closest of friends, otherwise everyone else got little more then basic formalities. If Connor knew that Catherine was offended of his silence he would make an effort to talk with her, everyone would, but she ignored them and normally that means she doesn't want them talking with her.
Graham and Forrest where collecting some drinks for everyone while Connor paid for the things with Riley's money and the others made their way towards Riley who was at that point watching Catherine's figure growing smaller as she moved off ahead of them, not even once looking back. Riley trailed behind the others, Arlen pouncing up ahead on all fours, he's been acting oddly since he returned from where he had disappeared to. The Prince hadn't told anyone that Arisa was dying and he was now sharing his life force with her in order for her to live. The side effects meant he was connected with her and she was also connected with both Spike and Willow from her blood bond with them. It meant he could feel Arisa every moment, as if he closer to her then ever, and even if she was hurting because he didn't let her die, Arlen was determined to make it up to her somehow..
"I don't get it," Connor began as they entered the cinema room Catherine had come in just before, "If you two 'loved' each other, why can't you just stay friends, why does the break up have to be like this?" Connor motioned Arlen to stand up while they entered the cinema so no one got agitated with having mutants making themselves so obvious, even though Arlen was not a mutant..
"Because she hates me." The reply sounded snappish, slightly annoyed that he was bringing this up even though Catherine has been all Riley has been talking about for the past two days.
"Did she say that though?" Questioned the feral, after all, Connor knew Riley sometimes had a habit of getting paranoid and exaggerating things he might have misunderstood. Graham lead the group to a collection of free seats further in the middle at the back of the room, Riley was fiddling with the wallet that Catherine gave him.
"Repeatedly." Riley sulked as he let his body slump down into the chair, sitting between Connor and Graham, Forrest on the other Side of Graham and Arlen beside Connor, with Heath sitting between Arlen and Scott.
"Come on Riley, knock it off, I think you're taking this a little far aren't you?" Forrest leaned forward, reaching over to grab one of the many bottles Graham was holding on his lap while everyone sat down. "You where like this with Claire, honestly, you take being dumped too seriously, you shouldn't be so angry, calm down, focus on other important things, and move on." Graham threw Forrest a scolding glare for talking like that, even Connor found himself staring at the other boy with a frown.
"Forrest, why don't shove some of these into your mouth for a little while." Graham purposefully hit Forrest in the shoulder while handing over the small bag of lollies, Riley stared still down at the wallet, Forrest was right, Riley had been upset when Claire had left him.. but it was more because he was left on his own, afraid while the Initiative where surrounding him, readying to swallow him back into their grasp.
"You wouldn't know, you've never loved anyone." Riley replied hurtfully that Forrest would say such things, acting as if this was just another routine in the day to lose one of the single most important aspects of your life. Connor glanced over his shoulder towards Catherine, he could smell her, sense her mutant ability, he offered her a small smile before Arlen started talking with him about something.
"So what, you're going to make things better by snapping at everyone," Forrest retorted indignantly, Graham groaned and let his head rest back as he sighed loudly, Riley leaned forward a little to see Forrest better.
"I didn't mean to yell," He snapped back defensively before sitting back into his seat again, crossing his arms over his broad chest and sulking again as he stared towards the screen, he just wanted them all to drop the subject.
"I thought things where alright between you two," Connor looked away from Arlen who's attention had excitedly turned towards Heath, Riley gave an uncomfortable 'It was' while he shifted about awkwardly in his seat. "So.. tell her you having a bad week and say sorry, she doesn't know you're upset with other things, she probably thinks now you're angry at her." Riley glanced over at Connor, he supposed he looked really upset, maybe that's why Catherine was ignoring him, maybe she thought he was going to make a scene in front of everyone and she didn't want him to embarrass her like that..
But she ignored Graham while Riley was there, as soon as Riley left she talked with Graham, Riley didn't really consider the fact she didn't have much choice since Graham was standing right next to her. Riley made an upset groan in the back of his throat as he stared up at the ceiling while slouching more in his seat, this was all too complicated. How can he talk with her as if they where just passing friends, he's seen parts of her, done things with her, talked and touched and teased her in ways that he's never done with anyone else before, he wasn't sure he could act like a friend around her, what if he messed up and she decided not to even be friends any more?
Re: First meetings ....
The cinema was by no means packed full of people, but on the other hand there were quite a lot of taken seats. Her eyes were looking down at the drink she held in her hands, looking at the label but not actually reading what was written upon it. Her hands unscrewed the top of the bottle, coke probably wasn't the best thing for her to be drinking when her intestines were still healing from everything that had happened to her since it was acidic. She didn't really care at the moment though, she hadn't wanted to hang around in the confectionary department with the others turning up the way they did. It didn't seem fair that he came out of this with really good friends and she didn't have anyone, the thought made her start bitterly picking away at the label with her hands, looking up only to see the boys enter the cinema.
Her eyes dropped away again, her body sinking down in the seat slightly as if that might help her withstand them seeing her. Her eyes flicked to the screen, as if willing the film to start. She could only catch snatches of their conversations, afterall it wasn't only Riley who was talking, Heath and the others were chatting amongst themselves. "Come on Riley, knock it off, I think you're taking this a little far aren't you?" .... "I didn't mean to yell," .... Cat wanted nothing more than to just get up and leave, but she was trapped where she was because they were between her and the door and if she left they'd all see her and know she'd left because of them.
She drank a little of the diet coke she'd bought, trying to let her eyes move anywhere but over towards Riley and the others. It hurt to see him, like someone was wrentching at her heartstrings. She wished she were braver and had the courage to go over and talk to him, even if it were to say anything ... like did he want his phone back? or a thank you for getting him Ginuea. But he'd looked so furious down the in the foyay with her and it didn't seem like a good idea to her. She wondered what it would have been like to have come here when she was still with Riley, she could have cuddled down against him then, they could have talked and laughed together and now they acted like they didn't even know one another.
Cat: It feels like my world is slipping through my fingers and I don't know how to hold onto it
The group continued talking for a bit, but it was more turned towards Riley's new classes and how he was going to handle them and daily practice with Graham and Forrest. Riley suggested they practice in the school basket ball courts, he didn't see why they had to go to the main complexe just to practice, Graham and Forrest where alright with it, though it meant they had to drive in every day from their apartment in the city. But unlike Riley, neither of the other two had jobs, and they only played basketball for the fun of it, not for the money.
They all spent the last half of their lives living in secret, it would be nice to be the center of attention for a little while, Connor leaned over and whispered something into Riley's ear while the others kept talking. Right now wasn't one of the times being the center of attention was really good, Riley awkwardly glanced over his shoulder towards Catherine and then stared at the screen again. He got really nervous that she might have thought he was ignoring her, but he didn't know she was there, now he felt guilty again.
He wanted so badly to go over there, what if she saw him coming and got upset, or ignored him, he'd so humiliated, and Forrest would make fun of him again. Riley stared down at his lap with embarrassment and shyness, he wasn't this nervous of approaching where when they first met. Shifting about rather discreetly while unclipping his phone from his belt, Riley lifted the front of his phone, identical to the one he gave Catherine save for the photo on the screen. It was a screen capture from the digital camera they had.. he got bored during his time hiding from his parents and began playing around with his lap top and the digital camera they got as a shared christmas present.
It was a really nice shot, both of them looked so delighted, and Catherine looked exhilirated since she just found out she had a horse of her own. Her arms about his neck, his hands about her waist, their bodies so close it was hard to imagine there was so much distance between them now, both mentally as well as physically. He had his phone on silence, so it would vibrate, since they where in the movies he really hoped that Catherine had done the some. Graham glanced over at Riley as he typed in a quick message, it would be so embarrassing if her phone started ringing out, they'd all know it was him sending her the message.. well.. Connor, Forrest and Graham would already have figured that out, but he didn't need it to be so obvious..
'Sorry I yelled.. '
Nervously Riley hit the send button, sinking a little lower into his seat as he closed his phone and partially hid it beneath his hands while resting it on his stomach. He had no idea what else to say, but now he got really worried, he felt stupid sending a message like that now, paranoid that somehow it will make everything worse, though he was really just bracing himself for the worst to happen.. if he thought about it he'd realize it wasn't like Catherine to get upset at him for saying he was sorry. Beside's, they are both really stressed and upset right now.. maybe she would forgive him for being so short tempered..
Re: First meetings ....
There was a soft beeping sound ... she looked a little suprised at first, as if she wasn't really sure what the sound was, it seemed to be coming from her bag though. It took her a moment to realise that it was her phone telling her that she'd recieved a message. She wasn't used to getting messages or anyone ringing her so it still felt really strange whenever anyone contacted her. She hadn't switched her phone off, she'd have remembered when the advert telling you to switch your phones off came up on the screen however.
She rumaged around in her bag, pulling out the phone and opening it, curious to know who had sent her a message. It took her a moment to get the message up on the screen, suprised to see it was from Riley. She wasn't sure what to make of the fact he'd sent her a message, was that a good thing or bad thing? Maybe he'd text her to ask for his phone back or something, she pressed a button in order to read the text and looked at what he'd written. Her eyes flicked over towards him then back down towards the words.
Catherine wasn't sure what he wanted her to reply to what he'd written. There was a space of a few mintues before she'd written the words. 'it's alright ... are you ok? how are the puppies?' She sent the message back to his phone before turing the volume down. Hoping he wouldn't snub her by not replying to her question. She felt so bad over everything that had happened that she wanted to apologise in some manner and she wanted to know how all the puppies were. She hadn't been able to play with them too much because they'd been a bit young and it was hard for her to sit down with them or crouch down owing to the wound she had.
Her eyes looked rather nervously over at Riley before dropping to the phone once more ... what if he didn't text back? But then if he didn't want to text with her he wouldn't have text her in the firstplace right?
ooc: Sorry neither of my posts have been very good but the library has been horribly busy and everyones chatting and I can't concentrate I'll be on some point tomorrow, take care bai.

Re: First meetings ....
ooc: That's alright, I understand completely.. my grand mother has been hovering around all day and others have been coming and going as well.
-----------------
Soon Riley's face was hiding behind his hand, Graham glanced down at Riley who was now slouching almost lower then the back rest of the chair he was sitting on. It felt like so long before he got a reply that he was starting to think she was ignoring him still, with complete mortification he he closed his eyes and just wished really hard that he would just disappear. It was a few minutes when his phone trembled for a short moment in his hand, showing he had got a message, only once for messages, it repeates when someone was ringing him. Riley's eyes glance between Connor and Graham while his hand left his face and returned to resting over his other hand that was hiding his phone. Slowly his fingers opened the phone once again, reading the message twice before slowly beginning his reply.
'The puppies were all sold but Emily's 1 & we kept Katie.'
Well, Riley didn't give his parents a chance to sell her, it was obvious Riley had gotten really affectionate towards the youngest puppy, especially since she had been really weak when she was born and they had to hand feed her. Riley had let Catherine bottle feed her in bed, but when Catherine left Riley had locked Katie in the room with him, the only reason he left was to get her food or clean up, and he was always holding her, his parents didn't have the heart to say anything, but they had offered a puppy for Cat and him. It just made his parents awkward that he was devoting so much time to the little creature and avoiding them and their questions.
He wasn't entire sure how to reply to her question though about if he was alright, it would be pretty obvious if he said he was fine that he was lieing..
'I've been better.'
Riley glanced over his shoulder towards Catherine, he had been a few minutes now and he didn't want her to think he was ignoring her call for some reason.
'Are you taking care of yourself?'
After Riley sent the message, Graham started whispering to him, even if Riley wanted to text her for the entire movie, he was already running out of things to say.. The last thing he wanted was her to think he was obsessing or trying to force her to come back to him. He wanted to say he missed her, that he wished she'd come over and join them.. he wanted to hold her again, but how many times does she need to leave him before he gets the message and stops chasing after her? Just because he lovs her didn't mean that he had a right to force her to return the affection..
Re: First meetings ....
She'd put her phone in her pocket while she drank a little of the coke she'd bought, her eyes looking across and down at the others, Riley was sitting slumped down in his chair and she wondered for a moment if he'd wanted her to reply to his text, it wasn't as if he'd asked her a question, it was a statement and perhaps she wasn't supposed to reply to it. but she really wanted to see what had happened with the puppies, they'd been so tiny when she'd been there, barley able to stand up, the smallest one hadn't even managed that yet, even though it was growing bigger from all the food and special attention it was getting.
She looked down at the phone, reading the message that he'd written on the screen, wishing she'd been able to be there when they'd got to the stage where they could play. Cat felt guilty when she scrolled the screen down and saw the next thing he'd written. It was her fault he wasn't alright, she'd wanted him to reply that he was alright now, not that he was still hurting. Even if it had been a lie, it would still have made her feel better. She wasn't sure how to reply to his last part, she was she guessed, she could have been doing more.. but then she hadn't been running around over straining herself and she'd been eating.
Her fingers paused over the keypad before she began to type... 'I'm ok ... I've got a job now in starbucks.' She wasn't sure what type of reply he wanted her to send so she settled for that one. She wanted him to know she was going to pay for Guinea's upkeep even if it did swallow up most of the money she'd be earning.
Cat: It feels like my world is slipping through my fingers and I don't know how to hold onto it
Re: First meetings ....
Glancing back over his shoulder towards her once more after getting her message, he gave her a smile, it was good that she had a job, at least he didn't have to worry that she'd be having money troubles. Although he didn't worry a little that it might be too stressful for her to work in her condition so soon, but then again, Riley was doing something as well... Maybe they just both needed something to do, more then just for the money, just to get on with their lives, or in Riley's case, it was more a pretense of getting on with his life.
'That's great.'
Riley stared over at the screen for a moment, hesitantly writting in about getting a part on the Basket Ball Team, he wondered what she would have thought, it wasn't really an interlectual job, and he had so many qualifications, Dawn said he could do much better and get much more money if he got a real job.
'I just got accepted into a newly made Professional Basketball Team.'
Sending the message was making Riley a little nervous, just because she broke up with him didn't mean he could just stop taking everything she says to heart. Her opinion was still really important to him, Riley glanced over his shoulder towards her. Deciding not to think too much on this, still feeling guilty over having snapped earlier, and he figured if he didn't try and fix things with Catherine then he would just keep snapping at everyone. So Riley grabbed the bottle of water that Graham got Riley (All three where still finding it difficult to stray from the Initiative diet, neither of them have tried any of the soda's so wouldn't know what it tasted like) and the chocolates that Connor and the others had collected for him.
Standing up, Riley slowly made his way over towards Catherine, looking rather shyly down at her as he took a seat beside her. He glanced at her, but then stared down at his hands, placing the phone and drink onto his lap before holding out the small clear bag of sweets.
"I can't text these.. but I wanted to know if you would like some?" He smiled a little, though looked very nervous and unsure, after all, they had made love a few times and yet they where acting as if this was the first step in their courtship, it felt complete offputting and wrong, but he had to accept that he wasn't right for her at had to choose between having her only partially in his life or not at all..
Re: First meetings ....
ooc: I'm a little confused over whether or not Riley sent the message to her or now ... so I'm going to take it that he has.
She was feeling more than a little uncomfortable with being in the same screen as the others, she wished they'd decided to see something different to her, she knew they hadn't chosen to come in here on purpose just to make her feel akward. Maybe when she'd seen that they were in the cinema she should have just chosen to go and see something different, a chick flick or something, anything that she knew a group of boys wouldn't want to see.
There was a few minutes silence before her phone vibrated in her hands. She looked over across at Riley, her attention becoming distracted for a few moments by a couple that had just walked into the cinema. A boy with his arm around a girl, they both looked so happy and secure in the knowledge that they had one another and thinking that nothing in the world could ever tear them apart. She remembered how it felt to think that, but now she was all alone, and it was her own fault. Her eyes moved back to Riley again, she was glad at least that they were having some kind of conversation even if it was only though text messages.
Her face looked suprised to read that he'd just got onto a basketball team, but then there was the knowledge that he'd have tonnes of girls throwing themselves at him. She had to remember however that he didn't belong to her anymore and was as free to go with any of them as she was to go off with any man that took her fancy. It still hurt to think of him holding anyone elses hand, or kissing them or even worse, sharing a bed with them at night. Riley suddenly looked over at her, making her eyes drop down to her lap, embaressed at being caught watching him.
She hadn't known he was good as basket ball because he'd never really talked about it, it made her think how very little she knew about him even though she'd let him closer to her than she'd ever let anyone else. There was a sudden thought that perhaps that was why things had gone so wrong for them, maybe they just hadn't known enough about each other. They'd never had a period of friendship really between them meeting and becoming lovers so when bad things rocked the passion they had they found that there was little friendship to fall back upon.
She was just about to start a reply to him when she noticed him stand up, worried at first that he was going to leave the cinema. As he made his way over towards her though she was torn between feeling happy and the sudden urge to run away. Her eyes turned to look at him, her fact tilted upwards so she could watch him as he sat down beside her. Her cheeks had flushed a red colour at him being this close to her.
"I can't text these.. but I wanted to know if you would like some?" He sounded nervous and she realised that he was probably as worried about talking to her and she was to him. She didn't really want one of the sweets he was holding out towards her but for the sake of maybe restoring some sort of truce between them she gave him a small smile and took one of the chocolates he was holding out towards her.
'Ummm thanks.' Part of her expected him to just get up and leave now he'd offered her a sweet, he'd made it sound like it was his whole reason for coming over here and talking to her. She wanted to say something else but her whole mind seemed to have gone blank now he was here. Maybe she should apologise over what she'd done to him, but she didn't know how to start. He'd taken the easy road out by being able to text her but now he was sitting here she didn't have the luxury of that choice.
Her eyes looked over at the young couple she'd seen before, they were sitting at the front and the guy had his arm around his girlfriend and her head was resting against his shoulder. There was an almost overwhelming feeling that that was how Riley and her should be yet here they were and it suddenly felt like she was sitting next to a complete stranger.
The silence between them seemed to be lengthening and she desperatley felt like she had to say something to him, even if it just delayed him going back to his seat for a few minutes longer. Her eyes looked down at the phone that was in her hands, closing the front so he couldn't see that his face was still on the display screen.
'Oh Uh.. Ginuea came the other day.' She forgot the fact that because they hadn't been speaking lately that he wouldn't know that she'd changed the horses name to something she could say easier and spell as well. There was something in her that was telling her that she should let him know that Ginuea had been mucking around with her a little. It wasn't too bad at the moment but with each day that passed she'd become more and more of a handful until even the stable hands would be put off going into the stall with her

Re: First meetings ....
ooc: Sorry this post is so short, we have that one year since my aunt's son died and I have been spending all day preparing yesterday and today we're basically leaving right away, woke up at six and people have been up and no one is letting me post!
--------------------
'Ummm thanks.' There was only a small smile in reply to her thanks, Riley stared nervously at his lap and all the items he had sitting on it. Part of him was screaming to just get up and hurry back towards the others now, but another part wanted to just stay. But she wasn't saying anything, maybe she didn't want to talk with him, maybe she was only being polite in returning his text messages. It was just he was so keen on fixing up their relationship, or whatever it was they had now, maybe he was pushing her again.. He should back off and let her come to him instead of always chasing after her, but she made it feel that if he didn't chase after her then she'd just disappear forever.
'Oh Uh.. Ginuea came the other day.' Riley knew the horse had come, the stables had been his favorite place to hang out, to hide away from everyone and busy himself with the chores that needed to be done down there. But since her horse arrived it meant he had to avoid the stables now, he didn't realize how painfully boring it could be without his daily trip to the stables yet. But the more time that passes only means the more willing he would be to help out with her horse when Jean notices the mare's restless behavour, the fact she was Catherine's would unnerve him greatly though.
"..Yeah.." The mumble sounded a little unenthusiastic, though he hadn't meant it to come out that way, he had gotten her the horse so they could ride together and that wasn't happening now. The image on his phone popped back into his mind, how happy she had been, how she had held him, then how they had made love later in the barn. Sure it wasn't the most romantic since both where half dressed, but there was that thrill of being caught and the fact it had been so long since they had done it properly that made the moment really nice as well as almost of fun.
"Alright.. I um.." There was a moments hesitation while he struggled to figure out how to say this, he didn't want to stay and force her to talk with him, "...I won't disturbe you any more, take care." It felt too awkward for him to stay any longer, especially now he was remembering what they had done in the barn, it was like he wasn't permitted to remember such private things they had shared just because she no longer loved him. Riley got up rather quickly as hurried back over towards his seat, both a feeling of disappointment and relief about leaving her, though feeling guilty he had left so quickly.
Riley wasn[t even staring at the screen when the movie started, looking off towards the wall for a long while before shutting his eyes and sinking even lower into his seat then before.
Re: First meetings ....
ooc: Going? Where are you going? *looks around looking lost*
"..Yeah.." He didn't sound too happy over the fact the mare had come ... but then perhaps he was regretting getting it for her now they weren't together anymore. She looked down at her hands, rubbing her fingers against the fabric of her jeans rather nervously. It was really hard to know how to act around him now, she'd never had an ex before so she'd never felt this horrible feeling you always got the first time you saw them. It could ahve been worse though, she'd known Nina and her ex's to have yelling fits in public when they bumped into one another.
"Alright.. I um.." She could tell by the tone of his voice that he was leaving, she couldn't help feeling dissapointed over the fact that he wasn't going to stay a little longer. She'd hoped perhaps he wanted to be her friend but his behavious now left her a little stumped, he'd just made an overture of freindship and now he was just leaving again. There was a horrible thought that perhaps he'd just come over to see her because his friends had said he should. He didn't seem as if he really wanted to talk to her, even though he'd just walked half the way across the cinema just to offer her a sweet.
"...I won't disturbe you any more, take care." It seemed obvious that he didn't want to talk to her though, if he did he could have said something about Ginuea, asked her a question or something. She gave him a little smile in way of a goodbye and let her eyes watch him as he made his way over towards his seat once again.
A minute later the film started, but Cat didn't enjoy watching it that much, her mind was still on the tall man who was sitting down to her left. She let her eyes sneak over towrds him, he didn't even look like he was watching the movie, maybe her being here had spoilt it for him.

ooc: We went to his grave.. then to the church, then back to the grave, then to another building where they ate and talked.. then we went to the place he died... they have a small mini church (Made of stone, slate and marbal, really nice..) built there in the side of the road where the car crashed!!
------------------
It wasn't too far into the movie that Riley's lack of sleep causing him to fall asleep even though Heath, Scott and Arlen where all whispering excitedly and asking if it was real and how they got the people onto the big screen. Graham and Forrest where mostly quiet except Forrest would comment on something and then Graham would remark on the comment resulting in a few small quiet debates between them.
At the ending of the movie Riley was woken by Forrest flicking water into his face by dripping some of his drink into the palm of his hand. With a groan Riley wiped his face, Graham shooing Forrest away as he began laughing at the annoyed look on Riley's face. Arlen looked a little nervous since most of the people that went by him after he stood seemed to stare down at the merman's long blue demonic tail, the arrow-headed extension of his body mimicked from Arisa's visual biology.
"Catherine!" Connor flinched slightly as Riley called over the people between him and his ex-girlfriend, placing his hand for a moment against his sensitive ear, "Um.. Are.. Are you going back to the school?" Forrest walked by him, placing his hand on Riley's shoulder and turning him about so that Riley's back was to Catherine. Riley glanced over his shoulder towards Catherine again while Forrest and Graham waved bye to him though he didn't seem to be paying attention to them not wanting to lose Catherine in the croud, his body turning around to face her once again.
His fingers rubbed over his eyes for a moment before stroking through his hair, he felt really tired now, and all the movement about him was a little disorientaiting right now.

ooc: I was thinking either way you reply we just fade out here.. maybe skip to the next scene.. not sure which one.. maybe I guess at the stables? *Shrugs* Whereever it is I don't mind! *Get's to work on her other posts*
Re: First meetings ....
It took her a little while to settle into the flim, but once she had she enjoyed it, it had a been a long time since she'd been anywhere like the cinema. She found the fact that it was dark rather comforting. She glanced over at Riley more than once but he didn't seem to ever be looking over at her, from where she was she couldn't tell that he'd fallen asleep. She couldn't help feeling a bit fidgity though, hoping that Riley would send her another text message, the phone remained still however.
Once the film was over she stood up, putting her still half full bottle of coke in her bag, and standing up. Now the lights had come back on again she could see the boys better, they seemed to be mucking around, laughing amongst themselves. It was odd to see Riley out with his freidns like this, the only people she'd seen him really hang around with was Angela and the others. Riley didn't seem to be joining in with their excitment though, he'd stood up and his eyes turned to look up at her as she pulled her coat on.
"Catherine!" There was a pause in her buttoning up the front of her coat, her dark eyes looking across at him. "Um.. Are.. Are you going back to the school?" Cat finnished buttoning up her coat and picked up her bag. She limped down the steps, hesitating when she was about level with Riley.
'Yeah.. I've got a taxi booked.' There was an embressed little smile that wandered onto her face. 'I guess I'll see you around.' Her eyes lingered on him for a moment before she hurried off. It was odd but her limp seemed to show less when she moved quickly, in a mintue she'd dissapered out of the cinema along with the other crowds of people.
Cat: It feels like my world is slipping through my fingers and I don't know how to hold onto it
