Kylora blinked as she watched Matt leave, his parting words leaving her with the suspicion that maybe she was a bit too obvious with her hints. 'Hmph! I guess he was just being polite, but- well...- As if I know anything about this blasted place! I was gettin' lost this morning on my way to breakfast and he knows it! Oy...,' she thought to herself during the momentary silence that had accompanied Matt's departure. Her other thoughts consisted of the occasional 'Maybe the layout is the same as my last reality's...' and 'I hope that I don't get in trouble for missing that class sit in...' or 'It probably would be fun to get lost if he asked me to show him around...' These occasional musings were cut through as she noticed his striking blues roving over her, causing the elfin beauty to blush ever so slightly.
"Well, it's nothing major, we're not famous or anything, but we put on a pretty good show every once in a while." The nature-loving mutant tilted her head as she noticed Aeryn gazing almost longingly over the kitchen as if questioning something. She decided to ask him in a moment if he had any questions about what's provided and what's not.
"So can I take that as a yes?" Kylora could just feel his cheerfulness. His boyish grin almost made her melt, though she never showed it. Her emerald eyes flashed with mischief as she considered the 'I don't know...' unsure response, but he already knew the answer. So she decided to tease him a bit.
"Only if I won't be interrupting the usual fawning that the groupie crowd usually does whenever you're in the room," she said with a grin, "Whenever you're with your band, of course. I'm sure you guys have already amassed a fair-sized fan base by now."

Aeryn smiled as he stood and cleared the dishes. Placing them in the washer before wiping the table down, leaving it as though no one had eaten there. He was always like that, keeping things tidy and never leaving much trace of himself. Perhaps a habit from his traveling done as a youth, messy luggage meant lost things. " OK! I feel much better." he said happily, glancing a look at the clock. "Well we still have quite a bit of time left before I even have to start getting ready, and I havent even seen my room yet, would you be so inclined, m'Lady, to keep me company while I try to find my way around?" said Aeryn, a wry grin crossing his face. With a broad step or two he was standing just before her, offering a hand to help her up. He felt much more comfortable with her now, and his heart was racing as he looked her over, waiting for a response.

Re: Unknown
A wry grin appeared upon the raven sweetheart's lovely features as she took his hand, standing without much preamble. She let go of his hand after a moment a bit reluctantly. He was a tidy person, which boded well since Kylora disliked too much clutter herself. A small twinkle entered into her emerald gaze as she started walking towards the front hall, making sure he followed, of course.
"Are there any bags we should get to your room before we explore?", she asked,"Wait, do you even know where your room is yet?"
Kylora frowned a bit as she tried to remember whether or not that information came with the packet or that a teacher or guide gave out that information once you checked in. She then remembered that she hadn't come to Xavier's in the conventional way. Her emerald orbs traveled towards Aeryn's sapphire gaze, concern marring her gaze as she realized that perhaps Matt should have stayed for the sake of convention. Then again, he did seem to be a bit relieved when he left. So, maybe it was a mixed blessing.
"I'm sorry," she began,"I really should have thought to ask Matt for the necessary information before he left."
'Maybe a teacher would know...,' she thought a bit worriedly, 'Nothing to worry about! Maybe we'll run into another of the welcoming crew or find it on our own?'
Re: Unknown
Aeryn ran his fingers through his hair before shaking his head in response to Kylora's question. "I have no idea where my room is, though I think Matt mentioned it was on the second floor, and there was no one rooming with me yet, so maybe that narrows it down? " he said, smiling boyishly.
Feeling a bit warm, he removed his jacket, stashing it in his backpack before slinging the strap over his shoulder. He flashed a broad smile at Kylora before walking beside her out the kitchen door, making their way to the stairs down the hall.
His mind wandered slightly as they walked down the corridor, students passing by here and there, most likely hurrying to another lecture or perhaps a study group. The walls were covered in old artistry, and Aeryn took a moment to examine each in passing.
Turning his attention back to his raven-haired companion, his features betrayed a look of ardour, "So Chambers, how do you like this school so far? I must admit, Im a bit daunted in being here, I handled school alright, but academics were never truly my passion." he said, hoping she wouldn't mind his using her last name.
Re: Unknown'A leather jacket, huh?', Kylora thought to herself, 'He kind of reminds me of the tall, dark, and dangerous type. Then again, the leather jacket always seems to go back to the Fonzie from Happy Days. Gawd, that was such an old show!'
A small hint of a grin shown on the interdimensional refugee's face as she imagined Aeryn dressed up like the Fonz, doing the thumbs-up sign and saying 'Heeeeey'. It about made her burst out laughing, but she instead smiled warm enough to show just a little mirth. It was just enough to make Aeryn wonder what exactly she was thinking about.
Ya know, maybe the welcome packet is in your room," the exotic beauty said as she remembered the packet that had been waiting for her on her own bed her first day, "And since you don't have anyone rooming with you, then it should be easy enough to find an empty room with a welcome packet on the bed."
Kylora noticed him calling her by her last name and almost stopped as she had a flashback as to the last time someone had done that. It had been about a year or so ago one night when she was on a date with a boy somewhere in Bristol, England. The radiant beauty was going by the name Elaina Catain at the time. The boy was just a local whom she'd met at school.
Anyway, he had treated her to an ice cream and a moonlit walk along the outskirts of town in the countryside. They were rounding a hill when she heard a menacing voice call out "Chambers!". It was one of the Hellions, but she couldn't tell which. He attacked her date from behind, knocking the poor boy out. He then started to advance on Kylora. Lucky for Kylora, Lenora had been following her daughter, having had a bad feeling about Kylora leaving her sight even for a bit that night. Lenora drew upon the moisture in the air to send a strong stream of water at the Hellion, knocking him to the ground. This allowed Kylora and Lenora enough time to run towards the car that Lenora had waiting on the other side of the hill.
They had been lucky to get away that night. From then on, Kylora almost always jumped at being called only by her last name. It wasn't that she blamed the people; she just was a bit overly cautious when it came to people calling out her last name.
'Well, what do you want people to call you?' her mind threw at herself, 'I mean, besides Kylora? Hmm...What about Ky?'
The lovely small-town native grinned at the thought of being called 'Ky'. It sounded like a cool nickname and kind of intimate. She kind of liked it. Her mum would flip, having hated a girl when she was little who went by that, but her mother wasn't there now. So, she couldn't really object.
"Please, don't call me by my last name," the exotic sweetie said with a pleading note in her lovely voice, "The last time someone called me by my last name, only, they attacked me. Erm, call me Ky."
They had made it to the front hall by now and now she was just waiting on Aeryn to say what he wanted to do first.
"I like it here okay," she said, answering his question, "I haven't started taking classes yet. Really, I'm quite nervous since I'm supposed to be taking college level classes this year."
She grinned then and added with a smile, "I'm sure you'll do fine here. Not everyone can be an academic genius. Besides, I'm sure you could charm you way to an 'A' if you needed to." Kylora winked at Aeryn then, knowing that the teachers probably worked with those who had problems in class here.
