Re: Hide your hearts, boys! The new girl's just arrived...
"Well..I used to go horse-back riding on my grandmother's ranch in Arizona, but then we moved to Alabama after she died." It was a pity that she associated a comment of his towards a sad memory, Connor felt bad but knew some things just couldn’t be avoided. "It sounds like there's a lot to do around here, though. I mean, just give me a pool in summer and a little snow in the winter and I'm happy as a bluebird on the first day of spring." Snow? That sounded nice, he assumed they got snow around here at Christmas but personally he couldn’t remember such things and that was upsetting a little, the again he was getting used to the emptiness inside his mind.

"So, any advice on who I should avoid around here?," Ack, another question he couldn’t answer! Dazzling blue eyes flicked from Kylora’s pretty face to the end of the hall they travelled down. It was really becoming clear to Connor how difficult it was explaining to people why he didn’t know anything, especially when they had so many questions a lifetime student here ought to find easy to respond to! Another look at her face and there was that smile, inhibited yet radiant still. "Bullies, teachers, ya know. The usual people and especially those to avoid when they're mad." Ha! That made things easier!! Connor grinned and there was a mischief to his eyes as they lit up at the chance of replying with a certainty he almost prided himself on.

"That’d bring you back to my family… Dad’s a great guy from what I’ve seen but as we discussed earlier, more then just a few students seem a little timid of him, apparently we’re pretty famous for sour tempers." It wasn’t intentional but Connor appeared to be speaking of things as if he was completely new to it all and since that was true he sometimes forgot that some people might find it odd hearing him talk about his own family as if he wasn’t so familiar with them, or himself for that matter. "My sister Madison is lovely to me but she doesn’t seem to tolerate many others… and I hear you’d not want to get one my bad side." He teased playfully and spoke with a charm that made it hard for one to imagine just how angry Connor could get when the right buttons were pushed, and how quickly his charms could melt away to a rage of righteous indignation.

"As for bullying, I don’t think you should worry about that," The smile remained though the mischief faded as an honesty swelled up in its place instead, "A nice girl like you ought to have a horde of knights in shinning armour rushing at any sign of mistreatment to smack the idiot senseless." a chuckle flowed effortlessly from him, though the thought only after occurred that a comment like that could be taken… Of course she was pretty, but he hadn’t intended on bluntly stating his opinion like that, he hoped she didn’t feel as if he put her on the spot, some girls liked the attention, some were put off by it… he just hoped she took it as the friendly remark he had intended it to be, and not some sleaze tactic.

Re: Hide your hearts, boys! The new girl's just arrived...
So far, the tour was a sucess. Sure, she'd only seen a little of the school, but she'd take that any day with Connor over some person who could take her on the entire tour in less than an hour. It was nice to actually talk to someone who went there and seemed to know even just a little about the place. She assumed he knew everything about the place since he was a teacher's kid. However, Aldrea was obviously unaware of the recent events that had left him amnesiatic. Oh well!

"That’d bring you back to my family… Dad’s a great guy from what I’ve seen but as we discussed earlier, more then just a few students seem a little timid of him, apparently we’re pretty famous for sour tempers."
So, his family has a reputation for a set of tempers. He seemed genuinely pleased to answer that question. Or maybe proud? 'Must be Irish,' she thought cheerfully, 'Can't be that bad though...' "My sister Madison is lovely to me but she doesn’t seem to tolerate many others… and I hear you’d not want to get one my bad side."

"I'll have to keep that in mind," she said with a grin, "Is Madison your only sister? Juuuust for future reference. In case I have to avoid any others of your family." The last part was said with a small laugh. Aldrea liked to know who was who around schools and something told her that she ought to know who was apart of Connor's family.

"As for bullying, I don’t think you should worry about that," he said, his voice becoming a bit serious, "A nice girl like you ought to have a horde of knights in shinning armour rushing at any sign of mistreatment to smack the idiot senseless." He had followed it with a chuckle, but really it made her laugh a bit as a small blush crept across her pretty cheeks. It wasn't that she didn't believe him. It was just that there had been a plethora of pretty girls at her school. There had been so many that she had often been forgotten simply because she was read books in her free time and was quiet. So, the whole guy noticing her thing was a bit new to her (except for the occasional guy on vacation, that is). Her friends had always urged her to go after the guys, but in the end, someone else had snatched the guy up before she had gotten the courage to even try.

"Heh, thanks...That was sweet of you to say that," she said a bit quietly, "Though I think ya might be hard-pressed to find a whole horde of knights these days..Much less one!" Well, what do ya know? The Native American was actually cracking jokes. She could just hear her friends now. Sharon would be screaming later, raving about how cute Connor was, while Jenn would be asking for his number just in case things didn't end up working out between him and Aldrea. That would launch them all into a gossip spree until three in the morning in which case both of their mothers would come in and attempt to take the communication devices away from them. That or threaten to ground them if they didn't all go to bed. Parents could be sooOoo picky sometimes!

"Do you know if there's any extra-curricular activities or even clubs around here?", she asked, scrounging around to keep the conversation going, "I know that all schools has something...Buuut, I figured there might be some interesting ones here. Like ummm an Anti-gravity Club or maybe a Weapons Mastery Club?"

"Is Madison your only sister? Juuuust for future reference. In case I have to avoid any others of your family." The earlier comment just got a shake of his head to signal no as Connor went on distracted with talking and looking over the walls they passed for notices that may elude to some interesting things he could show her. The features and dark locks of the new girl reminded him a lot of Sarah and that was both a good and bad thing, Sarah was rather nasty in regards to a lot of his habits, and being obsessive compulsive meant Connor had more then just the occasional quirk.

Even family members got irritated at times when Connor was driven to clean and despite his desires to respect their privacy he found he could never resist for long and soon enough he was in their rooms scooping up their rubbish and washing their dirty clothes… neither Madison nor even his father could hide the fact that they would much rather he left things be. And yet despite their own desires they respected Connor and the fact he couldn’t control the urges, and when he did try to suppress them he usually ended up worse off and in more of a foul mood, though he himself wouldn’t realize how distracted and frustrated he comes unless it gets more serious.

"Heh, thanks...That was sweet of you to say that," Striking blue eyes turned back to her, catching the light enough to cause a near on silvery reflection in their gaze, "Though I think ya might be hard-pressed to find a whole horde of knights these days..Much less one!" A smile crept onto his face, that was true… at least he thought there and then that it was true, he’d have said otherwise if only he had remembered his friend Heath, a true Knight from the 13th century who had, by some miscalculated spell, been thrown into the future and still finding his way about even if it had been quite a few months since the champion jousters arrival.

"Do you know if there's any extra-curricular activities or even clubs around here?", This was really awkward, she had so many questions and here he was wondering the exact same thing now, why Uncle Remy left him to give her the tour Connor had no idea. "I know that all schools has something...Buuut, I figured there might be some interesting ones here. Like ummm an Anti-gravity Club or maybe a Weapons Mastery Club?" There was something awkwardly shy in the look he gave her as he tried to think of how to tell her yet again that he wasn’t sure. Another glance at the wall was given in a meek attempt to try and spot something enticing enough to comment on… so far pony rides and book clubs popped out but if he kept staring long enough at the lists more interesting ones would come, in the mean time Aldrea would be staring at the back of his head. Not exactly the kind of company Connor wanted to be.

"I’m sure there’ll be something good… um… I’m not entirely sure why Uncle Remy left me to guide you around, I’m not being very helpful… I really don’t remember much of anything at the moment… amnesiac and all…" Connor admitted a little quietly though wasn’t going to let that mean he’d not help her because of it, "However I can easily ask Auntie Jean for a list on everything you could possibly get involved with… she’s the Headmistress, she’ll know everything." The feral motioned towards the oncoming set of doors that lead towards the kitchen, further up would be an opened arch for students to pour into the dinning hall, no doors were at the entrance of the hall, though it did have hidden security doors as most main areas of the school did, those doors were obviously not used unless during emergencies. "The Kitchen, and within it, food!" The way Connor continued speaking over his previous comment about his memories status made it somewhat obvious he was more then awkward and rather nervous over the admittance of it, last thing he wanted was to delve into how horrible it was not to remember anything… at all… nothing… as if reminding him of it repeatedly didn’t click with people that it might be a little more hurtful then amazing for him.

Re: Hide your hearts, boys! The new girl's just arrived...
So, he had more than one sister. Well, that must be interesting. Aldrea knew how tiring one little sister could be. A few friends of her's had been middle childs and they would sometimes complain about older sibs, but really, she had no idea how that might be like. I mean, unless someone kind of 'adopted' her as a younger sister, she really wouldn't know and even then, not really for real since most people spend their whole lives with their siblings. That would just be one experience she wouldn't have.

Connor seemed to be a bit clueless about a lot of the things around here. He had said he grew up here, but he didn't seem to be too knowledgeable. It was a bit odd. She knew every inch of her house and even hometown since it was so small. So, it would seem weird to her for someone to not really be able to answer some of her questions. Granted, it might be his first time to actually give a tour, but somehow she doubted that.

"I’m sure there’ll be something good… um… I’m not entirely sure why Uncle Remy left me to guide you around, I’m not being very helpful… I really don’t remember much of anything at the moment… amnesiac and all…"

'Oh crap!,' she thought in dismay, suppressing the urge to put both hands over her mouth, 'Why did that teacher make him endure all this when he could have called someone else to do this? Oh, this is terrible! Okay, play it cool. He doesn't seem to want to make a big deal about this...Ummm..Okay!'

"However I can easily ask Auntie Jean for a list on everything you could possibly get involved with… she’s the Headmistress, she’ll know everything."

Well, that's good. At least he knows enough people to be able to get some help with his memory loss. To imagine! To have your whole life erased within an instant! That must be so frustrating! A shake of her head sent her chocolate locks behind her shoulder before decided to speak. Only, they had arrived in the kitchen!

"The Kitchen, and within it, fo
[/b]

"Oh good, food!," the lovely mutant said, unable to think of what to say after that bombshell, "I-um, well, thanks for offering to get that list, but I think maybe it would be mentioned in the handbook, right? I mean, I wouldn't want ya to have to go to all that trouble. Besides, I gotta read that thing anyway."

The last part was said with a grin. The southern belle didn't want to poke at a sore subject, so she squashed the urge to ask about it. It was about the hardest thing to do, but she managed to do it! And wow, what a kitchen! So much to choose from...It must have about everything! Well, probably almost. She would have to explore it a bit to find out, really.

"So, whatcha in the mood for?,"
she asked, trying to steer the subject waaaay away from all the questions she'd been asking, "I've been told I make a great pizza..If they have the pre-made crust." She had said the last part with a laugh. The seventeen year old sweetheart actually knew how to make a pizza from scratch, but that usually took a bit longer...
