Re: A Little Freedom in the Morning
~Here is best I think~ It seemed like a nice place, and because it was early still not too many were out and about, just the other early birds and few came too far from the building, not unless it was their turn in cleaning the stables or yard duty or were trying to get an early riding session in. ~And yes, getting Lucky out of danger’s way is a good plan, out of my attention zone is best~ There was a slight moment where Connor found himself feeling cautious over those words, looking up protectively over Lucky, who pawed down at him from his branch, settling down and with his tiny claws grasped firmly onto the branch.

~We can’t fight.. not properly. I think you’re healing factor would put me at a.. dangerous disadvantage.~ Healing factor... he hadn’t thought of that, but at the same time, he never intended on doing damage that risked leaving its marks... he’d feel horrible if he bruised her, let alone did any sort of damage that was even remotely dangerous! ~But..~ Standing there, listening to the large feline, ignoring how odd it might have been had another student passed by to see him talking to a wild cat.. Things like that probably happened all the time in any case when one lived in a mutant school as far as Connor figured. ~That doesn’t mean we can’t train..~ Definitely not, and Connor offered a smile, though wondered what she initially would have thought he’d do had she not stated her lack of healing abilities. ~How’s your agility?~ His agility? The thought barely finished flowing when the mass of muscle and fur seemed to propel itself at him, a startled flex that sacrificed elegance risked him getting off balance by the second too late reaction.

"Oh I see how it is," He joked, though admittedly wasn’t exactly sure of his own capabilities, and so found himself slightly worried about the thought of going up against an animal like this, though a remarkable healer as he, as everyone put it, should offer a security blanket of sorts at least. He was supposed to be good at all this, why did he feel as if he was as clueless as with everything else... at least... well this was all for fun, it really didn’t matter in the end if he failed. It wasn’t like he was letting her down by getting tagged. Though Racheal hardly gave pause for a discussion on the matter, her feline graces effectively helping her glide about and encircle him, to which Connor tried to mimic on a more defensive scale. It was strange... when actually readied himself, when he really thought about being ready, it’s like everything started clicking into place, scents were not only more clearer, but each scent had a name, and each sound, and even the way she moved seemed to mean something more, as if suddenly he understood so much more then he would have expected.

The very breath she drew in and out of her feral lungs, even Lucky nearby, the rustling of leaves, the way her movement brushed against the earth itself, before it was all just noise he ignored, and yet now... now he was paying attention and it all started to make more sense. Quietly he breathed in the air, letting it fill his lungs as he stopped being playful and started to try and take this more seriously, even if he intended to keep this all fun and good spirits. Still... Racheal was offering a chance to test his abilities without pressure, this is something he should take advantage off, though he was hardly as limber as her, surely, maybe this was going to be more difficult if he had to keep up with her.. but then, it was much more effective at testing one's strength then just jabbing things with pointy knives.

Re: A Little Freedom in the Morning
Rounded ears flicked, the new sunlight smoothly coating her sleek ebony coat, the hairs moving as if more like skin than fur, unlike that of other species. She watched him, silently pleased at his startle, circling him a little, slowly. "Oh I see how it is," The words caused her head to lift, her steps pausing as she absorbed them and the tone, before her head lowered again level with her body, a huntress in her prime. Even to Connor’s ears, her steps would be almost silent, only the faintest rustle of grass that would, in nature, fail to give her away. She was calm, and it seemed slow in her movements, eyes fixed on him.

Every sense focused on Connor now, nothing would distract her from her ‘prey’. And yet, inwardly she was smiling. She watched as the almost nervously joked words soon gave way to something different. He was starting to take it seriously. The tip of her tail flicked slightly. Yes, if he was serious they would gain more from it. Gently Racheal toned down the panther’s urge to hunt. Although she knew Connor was feral, she had no idea what his agility skills were like. And she didn’t want to hurt him despite his healing factor. So she would test him. It seemed, thus far, she had the advantage. Perhaps because she knew her felines so well, she knew their movements and capabilities.

The black panther. She had a choice of which type in some ways, for such a title was given to black versions of the leopard, jaguar and the cougar. But like in nature, her favoured was the leopard version. An opportunistic hunter, she was agile and swift. Although she relied on her speed and stamina to hunt, at the same time she relied on silence to get near her prey. Perhaps then, seen and heard by Connor, such a fight should be considered less prey and hunter, and more rivals over.. something. Food, territory. For a loner there was much to protect. And in some ways much to fear. For despite all appearances, the panther was not a fearless creature. In Africa lions and hyenas were far stronger, and she knew well when to run rather than fight. And in India, it was the tiger she feared, the larger feline too powerful to contest with, though too large to get to the high delicate branches she could find safety on. But that made her no less dangerous. For she became cunning on how to avoid them, cautious. Scents would warn her of others, ears alert to the slightest disturbance.

Connor, though, was no tiger. No lion. But he could still be a threat. Where she had agility, he had strength. She paced, watching him closely, before darting forward, nowhere near full speed but still fast, reaching with one sheathed paw as if to tag him, before darting away to the side as he dodged her slower attack. Once she’d moved out of his arm reach, Feral slowed to a trot, tail high for a moment, as was her head, watching him closely. He had some ability, even if he himself couldn’t see it. That would make this fun. Her ears perked for a moment, falling still, before bounding on a pace or two, then once more resuming her pacing. She wouldn’t make this hopeless for the male feral. She’d offer chances, see if he saw them. It was almost like a test.

The time between each of her attacks varied, as did the speed, finding that Connor was capable of dodging most of her attacks up to a good medium speed, and each time he did, she’d pause afterwards, ears perked, silently impressed and happy before continuing. It was nice as well, for her, to find someone she could train with like this. Although it might not seem like much training for her, she was learning to read his moves, work out when he was going to try and turn the tables and reach for her in this game of tag. So far she’d avoided him, her body ducking suddenly or swerving so she was out of reach of that stretching hand or foot. And only a couple of times, when Racheal had pushed the speed up on the attack had he felt the comparatively soft tap of a paw. Comparatively because although it risked throwing him off balance, considering the paw was designed to climb or bring down prey, it was soft.

It was when she managed to catch him a second time with a fairly easy attack that she turned to face him properly, still, for the first time, ears flattening. When not attacking, she’d spent most of her time side on to him, and at a nice loping speed. But now there was something almost threatening in her posture. ~Connor!~ She rebuked, though fairly gently really. ~You’re not paying attention…~ As they’d continued, more of the world around them was coming to life, and she knew in this form how tempting each sound and scent could be. But that was what he had to learn. ~You have to ignore everything else. Hone all your senses. If you’re hunting, you pay attention only to your chosen prey. It could be a deer in a herd of twenty. But everything you do, all your senses are on that one deer.~ Her toned softened gently as she spoke. She knew he was still getting used to it, and there was an urge to go and give him a reassuring nuzzle, like she would one of her cubs, but he had to learn. And that was what training was for. ~It’s the same in a fight. There could be fights all around us. Companions fighting their own enemies. Plenty of noises and distractions. But if we let ourselves become distracted by their fights, our own enemy will take advantage. And then we’re no help to anyone~ Her tail flicked behind her, and she almost seemed to smile. But of course panther’s don’t smile. After a moment, she turned, leaping to the side before trotting a little. ~Now let’s try again. This time, pay attention. I don’t want to be swiping your legs out by such slow attacks again~ The words now were playful, a challenge, and as if to back this up she gave a few bounds through the grass before resuming her pacing. She’d felt harsh saying it. But it needed to be done, she reassured herself, hoping he’d take her words as constructive criticism rather than an angry rebuke.

After her words, it seemed his game picked up. He did better when there were distractions, although at times he still seemed to loose his concentration, earning him yet another tap. Still, she was glad to see he was paying more attention to the task in hand. And more so, for although she still had the upper hand, the gap between them was closing. The attempts to get her actually caused her to struggle to escape at times. But when his fingers first ran lightly through her fur she almost froze at the sensation. It was like she forgot her own words for an instant, her speed slowing suddenly, and she turned after a few steps, looking at him quietly, in thought. Not even Jake had touched her panther form before, and for Connor to… it was a sensation she could describe. As if taken by surprise she shook herself before continuing, though after that, each time he caught her she seemed to pause, more so with his finger tips. It was such a soft touch which ran through her silky fur, and it was something which lingered in her mind, causing her to falter at times.

Perhaps it was that in the end which lead to her frustration. Confusing and annoyed at herself for letting him distract her, whilst at the same time finding a silent inner joy at it. After an unsuccessful attack on both parts, she shook herself, bounding a little, ears flat as she watched him, the speed of her circle increasing. A soft sound, not a growl but certainly similar to one escaped her maw, now open, panting softly from the prolonged training. She was tiring slowly as well, which didn’t help. Suddenly she turned, rushing at him head on, the panther gaining control briefly as, instead of receiving the taps from before, this time she pounced fully, such an easy move, as if the short distance was nothing, paws reaching out and hitting Connor’s shoulders suddenly, throwing him back, her on top, pinning him. A low growl escaped her for a moment, as she stood there, half her weight on him, as her hind legs had found earth to stand on. She panted as she stared down at him with huntress eyes, ears twitching. As Racheal slowly regained control, she felt frozen, uncertain. If it had not been for the fact felines couldn’t blush and her fur was the darkest ebony, she would have been scarlet right now. And yet, she couldn’t find the will to move. Her weight shifted a little, so he bore less of it, but still her paws remained on his shoulders, thankfully sheathed. ~Sorry… Are you okay?~ She finally asked almost shyly, ears twitching slowly, still looking down at him. Should he attempt to move, to get her off, she would move from instinct, but right now, it was like being frozen in place. And the feral, for this instant, was unsure if she really wanted to move.

Re: A Little Freedom in the Morning
The game was more challenging than first thought, while Connor had expected Racheal to be elegant and poised, agile and swift; he had not expected a hundred other little distractions to tease his focus away from his play mate rival. Even Logan’s son didn’t yet realize how helpful this session would be in both understanding what he could do and remembering how he could do simple things, like focus on a scent, a sound, even if distractions toyed with his thoughts. With every tap of the massive paw, Connor got more determined to ignore that rustle of a bird in the tree, the distant laughter of two girls enjoying their breakfast outdoors, the mewing of his kitten in the nearby tree...

~Connor!~ It didn’t appear that his companion was very pleased with something he had done, and Connor wondered for a moment if he had managed to hurt her.. though.. he hadn’t really managed to catch her enough to cause any damage. Then again, that was probably what she was disappointed in, and as gentle, she continued and confirmed Connor’s own thoughts, ~You’re not paying attention…~ Or maybe he was paying too much attention, the thought was almost disappointing, he didn’t want be so easily distracted, his father looked like someone who could focus on one thing and deal with it relatively well, at last when a fight was taking place, Madison... well she could latch onto a single thing and focus solely on that one thing till life itself grew old and crumbled.

~You have to ignore everything else. Hone all your senses. If you’re hunting, you pay attention only to your chosen prey. It could be a deer in a herd of twenty. But everything you do, all your senses are on that one deer.~ Quietly the male allowed her words to wash over his thoughts, it wasn’t easy as he could hear so much more than just her and her actons, though he knew that’s why she pointed it out, surely she could hear more than just him and his actions too? ~It’s the same in a fight. There could be fights all around us. Companions fighting their own enemies. Plenty of noises and distractions. But if we let ourselves become distracted by their fights, our own enemy will take advantage. And then we’re no help to anyone~ There was something sad about that comment, despite it being so true, while Connor would want to throw himself head on at anyone taking on a friend, Racheal was right in the sense that should he try and take on too much, or worry about too many things around him, then what he was trying to do would be hindered. There was something almost enchanting in the way the feline moved, he was almost distracted by that alone, the airy bounce, the fluid grace, raw power in its most pure and beautiful of forms.

~Now let’s try again. This time, pay attention. I don’t want to be swiping your legs out by such slow attacks again~ A soft grin tugged at the edges of Connor’s lips, there was something strange in her take charge approach, she was kind and yet firm, loving and strict, Connor hadn’t had a lot of people in his life that held personalities such as this, and it felt comforting somehow. To know while she cared, she would not sit idly by and remain silent if something had to be said. His father was similar.. but shied away from being too openly loving, his love seemed to come in different ways. Then again, it seemed to be a trait of his family, which made Chris’s open affection so strangely wondrous.

Things picked up, or so he hoped, as a mewing caused Connor’s flaming blue gaze to peer over towards Lucky who was pawing at a leaf swaying just above his head, the distraction won Racheal another tap on Connor and he struggled harder to do as she had earlier suggested. There was a reward with him tagging her, as the tips of the male’s fingers stroked through the soft silken fur it had felt like something so different to Lucky’s, deeper, richer and more wild and daring to the touch. With every tag he won, it seemed that there was a fire which burned that little brighter inside, he felt lighter, more confident, more focused.

Another place that his regeneration helped was that while Connor grew tired, his stamina and endurance was improved, his recovery time reduced, which lead him to be surprised when Racheal’s body started to betray fatigue while his was still hanging on. There was a soft grumbling from the female who, moments later to Connor’s surprise, threw the full weight of her body at him, the surprise catching the confused youth off guard and sending him crashing to the ground with the large feline pinning him down.

Deep breaths drew in and out of Connor’s lungs, his chest struggling against the weight yet managing, it wasn’t fear really that drove his quickened breaths, but something else, almost a mixture of surprise and uncertainty blended in with something more enthralling. There was something definitely strange about her scent, something he couldn’t relate to with any other, it stirred something inside of him that even Connor couldn’t put words on. Maybe it was because she was just another feral, maybe a deeper part of him connected to her on that level like those similar so often did, like travellers, when abroad, felt drawn to other travellers who were from the same country as them, travelling also to distant lands. And yet, should Connor have really thought of it, it wasn’t like he was the only feral in the school, he had his entire family around him constantly. Surely there had to be something more... maybe just because she was more animalistic ... or more wild ... or maybe he just wanted someone else outside of the family that was just as feral in their own ways ...

~Sorry… Are you okay?~ The words broke into the trance Connor felt himself having slipped into, tugging him from the reverie of peace and confusion and forcing him back to the there and now, wondering what was expected of him next.... he felt oddly inclined to just remain there, his face moving enough to allow him the chance to stare at her paws for a brief moment before returning his gaze to her face. It almost didn’t bother him, the scent of dirt and dust around him, the feel of earth pressed against his back and the knowledge with at his clothes were likely smothered in dirt themselves.

"..Yeah," It was by far not the most intellectual of replies, and yet it seemed the only thing that sprang to mind, leaving Connor feeling a little blank and empty, it was odd because for a moment, ever so brief, he envisioned what it would look like if she were in her human form, it was almost humorous the impression they might have given off, especially as his father seemed to have the entire grounds under watch for Connor and any trouble his son might get into. Though the thought of a girl in that position with him drew images of Sarah and he did find himself suddenly feeling very dirty and used in a most betrayed of sense. This feeling with his new friend was so greater and more positive then he felt around the other young woman who had pretended to care for him. What would drive someone to pretend they were your girlfriend? It was much nicer here, in the school, even if it was so much more complicated, and so highly frustrating at the same time, even if it were only for moments like this with people like Racheal and Chris and his family and the other teachers who had made an effort to see him.

A flicker of the night last weekend, where he found himself frozen in the lack with a very palatable fear he could not describe, flashed distracted within his mind’s eye with every blink. When Connor had really needed someone, when all his powers and abilities and skills, basic or not, were needed the most, it seemed to all completely be stripped from him, leaving nothing but an empty shell full of countless echoes of pure fear. Only Racheal had been there, her hands reaching for him, however where she had once guided him to shore, she now pinned him to the floor, and yet just as before, he felt no true fear aimed at her... if anything, something about her helped chase them all away.

Somehow knowing that Sarah would stay well away from him with Racheal around, especially in her feral forms, it drew an even greater sense of comfort, though a soft light hearted chuckle rang with his awkward smile to show he was really ok. "So you won this time.. I’ll just have to challenge you for another round later,"

Re: A Little Freedom in the Morning
Ribs moved beneath the dark sleek fur, causing it to rise and fall in deep, panting breaths. Her maw was barely open though, soft warm breaths escaping her. Those piercing eyes were fixed on Connor, watching every movement, as if entranced. She could, if she wished, blame it upon the panther. But she knew the panther had nothing to do with it. The dark beast seemed to linger in the bark of her mind, smirking unkindly at something, but the young woman didn’t know what. Could it be possible the creatures within her knew more than she did?

"..Yeah," A feeling of relief washed over the morpher, still gently pinning him, only barely realising. At least she hadn’t hurt him, she wouldn’t have forgiven herself for such a crime. Although no less intent, something had softened about the feline’s features. Like the intensity had changed somehow. Certainly any look that he might be prey or enemy was gone. The tip of her long, curved tail twitched slowly, a contented, if slightly confused movement.

This… this was strange. Part of her silently wished his hand would lift to her fur again, only for her mind to push that thought aside with a strange shyness. What was it about this feral? Yes, he had qualities which reminded her of his twin, but he was so different as well. And each of those differences seemed to draw her closer, like a moth to a flame. She didn’t really understand the feelings which touched at her, seemed to linger. Making her nervous and excited all at once. Which made her thoughts eventually return to this male she currently had pinned to the ground. For a moment, her thoughts racing, a possessiveness came over her. A want, a need to protect this other feral. To make it okay. And something more which she just didn’t know what to make of, something she could find no word to truly explain.

"So you won this time.. I’ll just have to challenge you for another round later," The words jolted her mind back to him, away from the strange thoughts which had, for a moment consumed her. Silently she pushed those thoughts away, somewhat ashamed of them in her own misunderstanding. Still, she seemed to relax further, ears flicking slowly, shyly. If a panther could smile, Feral was in that moment. Her paws seemed to gently paw at his shoulders, as if in debate with themselves about whether to move, before the brain seemed to take control. She moved so her weight left him completely, her paws once more touching the grass, feeling a strange, stark difference in the lack of touch. She turned so she faced him, before lying down slowly, that curled tail still flicking slowly.

~Yes.. perhaps you should~ She said slowly in response, her mind giving away that distracted feeling, ears flicking slowly. She lay close to him, facing his side, so from the air they would resemble a T. Her head was in fact barely a foot from him, but at the same time, there was something about that gap which was important, as small as it was. Slowly, eyes lifted almost reluctantly to the tree-kept kitten, ears perking for a moment. ~Though perhaps.. we should also get him down~ She said softly, looking back again to Connor.

~Sorry~ She finally whispered gently, head laying down on her large paws, capable of such silence and stealth. ~I let her take control for a moment.. she got.. tired, frustrated~ There was a soft chuckle there as she thought about it. Her loss of control had become something which fascinated her in away, stirring some strange thoughts and emotions. She was sorry. But at the same time there was no regret at her actions. Had Connor been hurt, or distressed then she would have. But he showed no signs of it, and that was a great relief.

Re: A Little Freedom in the Morning
There was no irritation as Racheal's form remained still for a moment, standing atop him with her weight pinning Connor down, though he in turn made no attempt to push her way. Despite knowing the game was over, knowing that she was about to pull away, it still seemed sudden, as if someone had just stolen whatever comfort the male feral had managed to grasp hold of.

~Yes.. perhaps you should~ It was confusing her words till Logan's son recalled what he himself had said previously. Suddenly practicing with his own abilities lost some of the daunting sensation he had originally felt when faced with the prospect. ~Though perhaps.. we should also get him down~ Until Feral herself had recalled Lucky, Connor had almost completely forgotten about the kitten in the last few moments, leaving a sudden guilt which fogged his eyes as he glanced up at the orange feline who was currently sniffing the nearby leaves to where he had crawled to.

~Sorry~ The voice in Connor's head could have been an echo of his own thoughts had it not been female in tones, which pulled the male's gaze back towards the mutant beside him. ~I let her take control for a moment.. she got.. tired, frustrated~ A smile crept softly to Connor's lips, though to be honest he wasn't sure what to say to that, he wasn't angry for it, and nothing had gone wrong, so there was no real issue about it. Maybe these spouts would also help Racheal grasp better control over her own forms enough that she did not need to fear slipping so easily.

"I'll just grab Lucky," Connor stated whilst slowly pulling himself up to his feet, a slow grace to his movements and a strange lightness about him that showed for a moment Connor was not walking with the weight of the world weighing down on his shoulders. During the fight, the kitten had managed to crawl his way along the branch, though crawled carefully back as Connor drew closer, much to Connor's relief as climbing up after Lucky was hardly the most perfect way to end this moment. Carefully, fingers wrapped about the small animal, drawing the kitten close to Connor's chest the instant he had hold of it, and once secured, making his way back to sit beside Racheal. For a moment, Connot stroked the kitten as it was placed down within his crossed legs, thou Lucky looked ready for a moment to pounce over the barrier of his owners legs and bound off to explore, only to be stilled for the moment by the larger nearby feline, which gained all the kittens attention in a focused sniffing. "We should make a day to meet up for this again," It seemed lmost blurted out for Connor's liking, as if he was stumbling about stupidly though in truth it had been a calmed spoken request. There was an odd awkwardness and yet a hopeful excitement and it drew yet another soft smile to Connor's mouth as he returned his eyes to Racheal, "It'd give me something to look forward to while suffering classes,"

Re: A Little Freedom in the Morning
The delicately formed muzzle remained resting on her large black paws as she watched him, rounded ears perked. It seemed whatever frustration had filled the panther previously had drained away, all danger gone for now. "I'll just grab Lucky," Her head lifted as he stood, watching him curiously, eyes lifting to the little kitten. It was small but brave it seems, and she watched the small movements which brought it to the outstretched hands. Ears remained perked as Connor returned, the kitten secure as he sat. Her eyes lowered to the little bundle with an inward chuckle, before those piercing eyes once more lifted to the male feral, watching him.

"We should make a day to meet up for this again," Silently, for now at least, Racheal agreed with him. She would like to do this again, to spend time with him if that was all. The tip of her tail gave a small, thoughtful twitch as it lay there, wrapped around her sleek body. Not only would it be good for training purposes, but it gave her a reason to see him more regularly. Once more, at this thought, she felt a shyness come over her, and her ears twitched slightly, letting her eyes drop to the curious kitten once more.

"It'd give me something to look forward to while suffering classes," Even on the generally emotionless features of the panther a smile seemed to form, if mostly in her eyes as her gaze lifted to meet his. Yes, it would be something to look forward to. Certainly. Her paws flexed a little against the grass as she lay there.

~Yes, I’d like that~ She agreed softly. There was something almost regal about the way she sat, but was that not true of many felines? Still, she seemed silently more than pleased with the idea, and once more her long tail gave a twitch of thought. ~And.. if you ever want to talk, I’m normally outside. You wouldn’t have to wait until then if you didn’t want~ She suggested gently. Again her eyes were lowered, seemingly curious about Lucky but the truth was a shyness was in her, confused at herself slightly, but happy. She at least realised that.

Re: A Little Freedom in the Morning
~Yes, I’d like that~ It was a relief to hear honestly, because for a moment all Connor could think of was the thought of her laughing, shrugging off his offer with a ‘once is more then enough’ sort of reply. Then again that was him just being paranoid. ~And.. if you ever want to talk, I’m normally outside. You wouldn’t have to wait until then if you didn’t want~ The offer was kind, and exciting, and yet dangerous as well because Connor really didn’t want to over step the lines by pestering her too much.

"That’d be great… uh," Connor thought for a moment, he really would like to get a date and time sorted just for the chance to hang around a little more, and yet as he was thinking, he also realized that this topic could be used as an excuse to catch up with her later. "We should think over it, I’ll see what times I’m constantly free and we can catch up again and talk," Right now though, he probably should head back to the apartment in order to get something to eat, and it was more then just the soft rumble of his stomach that drew the thought up. "I should probably get ready.. have breakfast and stuff… I thought I’d give classes another go today so if I do I probably don’t want to be late." There was a soft chuckle with the comment, though by the tone of his voice it still sounded as if he were undecided and really didn’t care just yet if he was late or not.

If Chris wasn’t still asleep or family wasn’t still likely to be around the apartment, then Connor might have invited her back for something to eat, but he felt awkward at the thought, and he really didn’t feel like the crowd of breakfast time in the great hall right now. For the moment however Connor hesitantly remained seated and stroked the kitten for a bit, trying to enjoy the final moments before awkwardness settled in and ruined it. "What are you going to be up to?" It was the last ditch effort to find out her plans for the day before vanishing off, at least that might mean if he decided to finish classes earlier he could always chance catching up with her.

Re: A Little Freedom in the Morning
The panther’s ears twitched occasionally as she lay there, seemingly peacefully, tail flicking at the grass in that lazy feline fashion. But that didn’t mean her attention had waned from the male feral. Not in the least. Huntress eyes lifted slowly once more as he spoke now, the rounded ears fixed on him.

"That’d be great… uh," The large feline’s head tilted slightly to the side at the hesitation, wondering what it was over. Surely he wasn’t reconsidering! But no, her fears were by-laid as he continued. And not for the first time in situations when her emotions were involved was she glad to be in morph, in a creature who’s emotions were not so clearly shown, for otherwise she feared she would be beaming and possibly bright red as well!

"We should think over it, I’ll see what times I’m constantly free and we can catch up again and talk," She nodded, it could be an on going thing if he was always free. Generally her time was unoccupied, but she had a few commitments and she supposed she should keep them. For now at least.

"I should probably get ready.. have breakfast and stuff… I thought I’d give classes another go today so if I do I probably don’t want to be late." Slowly she nodded once more. Yes, breakfast was a good plan. Hunger was starting to gently gnaw at her stomach and she was trying to decide herself what to do in regards to food. She wasn’t sure if the other Exiles would have stirred by now, though she suspected a couple would have. Her agile body shifted slightly as if finding a slightly more comfortable position. Part of her was tempted to demorph, to spend these last moments as a human with him. But then again, perhaps this time it was the best option to remain as she was.

"What are you going to be up to?" Racheal stressed her neck slightly, thoughtfully. What would she spend the rest of the day doing, she wasn’t yet sure. When Connor left would she return to find some food? Or would she stay out here a little longer? Her paws moved, each toe individually, as she seemed to feel at the soft earth beneath her.

~I should wind down, perhaps go and find some food myself~ She said softly, thoughtfully. ~Might spend a little time in library later~ She had seen a couple of interesting animal books in there she thought she might cope with. Ones which were mostly pictures, she was willing to learn as much about her morphs as possible whilst she had access to the material.

~But I’ll probably spend some more time out here later. It will depend a bit if anyone decides the Exiles need any training today~ Her ears flattened briefly as she spoke. She honestly was not a fan of them. Individually she had little care for any of them, though Max had a horrid habit of winding her up she could even cope with him if she ignored him. But as a team it was a headache. Still, at least she had her own room, could escape them. And she had a few pleasures here, meeting both Connor and Michael for instance.

She stretched, before standing slowly, her head about level with his still, eyes lowering to the small kitten as for a moment, tail giving a small flick. ~I suspect there’s a third stomach who would welcome some breakfast as well~ The voice came lightly, happily. ~And I should de-morph soon. It’s not pretty and I don’t want him getting upset by the strangeness of it all~

Re: A Little Freedom in the Morning
~I should wind down, perhaps go and find some food myself~ Maybe he should have offered to eat together, or maybe it was better to part on a good note, one where she didn’t have to deal with him fussing over what he ate and how he ate it, heck, it sometimes even annoyed him! ~Might spend a little time in library later~ Reading was always relaxing, unless of course it made you feel so restless you could start bouncing off walls… Connor seemed to last no more then a chapter before he needed to stretch his legs and move around.

~But I’ll probably spend some more time out here later. It will depend a bit if anyone decides the Exiles need any training today~ Team training, Connor heard about it, and Jean discussed it with him, apparently Bishop was supposed to, but he seemed to have been called off, and no one was entirely sure where he left to in such a hurry. This meant most of Connor’s team had little to do, save moving into their dorm and dealing with the team members… all save Connor, who was allowed to remain in his family room till he was more settled and willing to move out.

~I suspect there’s a third stomach who would welcome some breakfast as well~ With a smile, Connor glanced down at Lucky, Racheal was probably right, and he should head back to feed the kitten, though to be honest Connor was still torn between ending this encounter and just letting it linger a little longer.. ~And I should de-morph soon. It’s not pretty and I don’t want him getting upset by the strangeness of it all~ With a glance up at the feline, Connor offered a small smile, holding the kitten closer to his chest as he petted it.

"Well… I should probably head off and get him fed," With a slow grace, Connor stood, using only the strength of his legs and needing no aid from his hands which still held his kitten protectively. "I really enjoyed this," Had he already said that earlier? "I’ll best go… I’ll let you wind down and find some food for yourself… might see you later," Even though he turned around and began to walk off, the feral did offer another glance with a smile, before settling with whispering soothingly to Lucky who glanced around at all the wide open space filled with students and activity, not chaotic as it got during lunch break, but enough for Lucky to meow at the strangers.

Re: A Little Freedom in the Morning
The proud feline sat up slowly, so neatly, her tail neatly tucked around her, curling slightly around her forepaws. Her emerald eyes fixed on the male feral and the kitten, ears perked calmly. "Well… I should probably head off and get him fed," Slowly she gave a small nod. Watching his own graceful movements. Whilst she did maintain some of her feline grace whilst human, she always felt it somewhat lacking. But Connor seemed to have it there, in such a way as he may not have quite realised as to what extent. It wasn’t jealousy that roused in the female feral, but a form of admiration.

"I really enjoyed this," Her tail gave a slight flick, a smile almost forming on the huntress’ features. Of course, the cat couldn’t truly smile, but there was just the slightest indication that if she could, she would be beaming. She had enjoyed it as well, more than she had expected. And for now it was a simple joy she allowed herself to feel from it, those deeper, confusing emotions pushed down for a time when she could consider what they might mean alone.

"I’ll best go… I’ll let you wind down and find some food for yourself… might see you later," Once more the large feline nodded her graceful head. She remained sitting there as Connor started to leave, ears perking higher at the smile he offered, her tail twitching slightly.

~I hope so~ She responded gently to him. At this distance the telepathic speech was still easy, relaxed. The words could have been almost taken as a coy tease, but there was no hint in her voice to suggest such a thing, instead a pure honest expression of her hope in a future meeting. In future meetings. After a few moments, Racheal forced herself to stand, to walk away towards the forest as the number of students in the ground increased slightly, not wanting to be in public view when she demorphed. Other than the potential embarrassment if she stopped concentrating – she had in the early days forgotten not only parts of her morph, but also to remember clothes, she had become acutely aware that it was possible to upset people by changing her form infront of them. She glanced once more at Connor and Lucky, before bounding into the woods, disappearing with the ease of her wild counter parts. She really should head back to the dorms in a moment, but she would, just for five minutes she promised, enjoy this freedom and inner joy.
