Re: Children of the East
Once Kichi had replied to Aldrea's question, the technomorph said a quiet 'okay' and picked a song that was of high difficulty. It was time to see if she still had it. The brown-eyed girl glanced over at Kichi then and gasped as her skin turned gray. It was quite a shock to see someone's skin change color right before your eyes. However, she didn't want Kichi to think that she was appalled. Quite the opposite; she was actually impressed that she was like a chameleon of some sort.

"I can't hold onto coloring for more than two hours."

"Its okay,", Aldrea said with a smile as she watched a nervous Kichi rub the back of her head, "We all have our own special gifts." The music started then, catching Aldrea off-guard. As she hurried to get on beat and in sequence with the screen, she found that she was a bit slower than she remembered on this level. It was actually quite challenging to keep up. Aldrea flashed a quick grin to Kichi at one point before turning her eyes back to the screen.

Kylora, on the other hand, was quite content watching Kichi and Aldrea duke it out on DDR. When Kichi's pigment had changed, she had actually raised an eyebrow before saying, "Cool power!" to the chameleon-like mutant. 'Must be tiresome to have to hold onto a pigment that you've never had just to not startle those that aren't used to you,' she thought as she sipped her lemonade. She knew she was lucky to not have a physical mutation other than her ears. Sometimes that freaked the very narrow-minded individuals, but she really didn't care. It was who she was.

Besides, she thought the ears made her unique! It was around that time that her silver charm bracelet started vibrating! The mirror charm also started to glow brightly, causing her exclaim, "Blimey! I've got to find a way to keep this thing from glowing." And so she unclipped the charm and pressed the leaf on the back, the mirror charm becoming a full-sized hand mirror with roses creeping up the handle and along the frame. "Sorry," she said to the group, glad to see that her exclamation hadn't interrupted the game too much, "My mum's tryin' to call me from her dimension through the magic mirror."

And with that said, the appologetic elfin beauty pressed the leaf-shaped button at the base of the frame of the mirror where the handle meets the base and looked into the mirror, annoyance on her face as she saw her mother's face looking back at her.

"'ello Mum," she said with a smile, "Nice to hear from you...Oh no, you're not interrupting much; I'm just watching a game of Dance Dance Revolution with my friends...No..Oh fine."

The plant manipulating mutant looked up at her friends then and said, "My mum says hi, guys." She then put the mirror up to show her mum the room, starting with Armaan and then going on to show Kichi and Aldrea trying hard to play their game.

"Alright, you've seen 'em", she said in a semi-annoyed voice, "Yes, they're nice..No..His name is Armaan. The grey-skinned Asian? That was Kichi..And the other girl was Aldrea...No! No, I won't let you talk to Armaan. You will not try and set me up with him..No..No, you would totally embarrass me, that's reason enough, isn't it?! No..Will tell you later, please...Can I call you tomorrow, mum? Yes, I know...I promise I'll call...Cross my heart. Okay, love you, Mum..Alright, bye!" With that all said, the mirror went blank and with the press of the leaf button on the back, the mirror became an ornate charm once again that she hooked back onto her charm bracelet.

Kylora looked over to Armaan then and grinned as she leaned back. "She said you're, and I quote, 'quite handsome' and wanted to talk to you to set us up on a date," she said with a barely contained smile, "No offense, but I didn't think you'd want to have talked to her when she was in her match-maker mood. I swear, next thing I'd know she probably would have told some kind of embarrassing story the way that parents tend to do."

With that all said, Kylora watched the rest of the game, just waiting for the inevitable flow of questions she'd have to answer about her mirror..
