Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
The whole commotion caused Jean to stand in a panic, her eyes glaring towards the intruder who turned out to be Mandra, she had always seemed to quiet and content, never violent, the one time she had almost hurt Jarod she had been hallucinating. Giving Jean a nod after Garnet took charge, not away Jean had also instantly set up a barrier about the elemental to stop any further harm being caused.

"Mandra, what is the meaning of this?" Her voice called out with a demanding tone, though concern was entwinde within her words and expression. She moved closer towards Mandra, casting Riley a quick look, though his hands still caught the blood that now more slowly dropped from his nose, his body inching behind Garnet. Jean turned her eyes away from the younger man and stared towards Mandra, there was something strange and sitant about her, what would she attack them though? Jarod seemed just as lost, unsure on what to do, standing speechless at the entrance of the War Room.

Jean knew all Mandra had to do was create water or ice in an attempt to subdue Garnet's flames, so her mind tried to keep up a bubble about the elemental, stopping her from harming anyone else. But Jean wasn't going to just let her go until they discovered what exactly has happened to her, why she would do such a thing..

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
She saw the flames rise up around her and felt the heat coming from them. Mandra was having a hard time trying to think.

" They attackin' you chere... You know what tah do..." Le Beau's voice told her, echoing slightly in her mind.

Mandi's eyes narrowed as if she were half asleep and the symbol on her upper cheek lit vibrantly.. so did the her eyes. She slowly rolled her neck, tilting it side to side and cracking it before straightening it again as she dismissed the electricity. Her arms were folded and brought up to her chest, her hands resting on the opposite shoulders, movements still slow until suddenly, frost formmed on her skin and hair and shards of ice shot up around her.

" Dere yah go, chere.... now kill dem all.. Leave no survivors..."

She bowed her head slightly before suddenly looking up in front of herself and throwing her hands out in front of her. Ice, in the form of sharp discs, flew from her hands but shattered as they hit the barrier that Jean had thrown around her.

" C'mon, Mandi... you can do better.... Why you holdin' back, chere..."

Her eyes closed for a moment and the frost that lined her hair and that was creeping along her cheeks and towards the center of her face became thicker to where they were thin sheets of ice. Her lips tinted a little blue and her complexion paled as she opened her eyes again. The shards of ice became thicker and more came up, spreading. Mandra slosly cracked her neck again, side to side. Right after through, she shot her arms out again, sending ice shards out in front of her at a high speed. As she did this, the ice that was on the floor began creeping up at the edges of the barrier.

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
"Riley what...?"

The sight of blood made Aurora stop in the middle of her question as the young man slowly stepped behind her as if looking for shelter. In a different situation, the fiery mutant might even have found this development amusing to satisfying but with a tetra-elemental out of control and parts of Cerebro - although fortunately not the Core - damaged, there was no time for such selfish feelings.

Jean didn't directly respond to her question, yet addressing Mandra was answer enough. It was a logical reaction and finding out about the actual reasons for that abnormal behavior sure had priority... still Circe felt lightly ignored. This feeling - as well - she drove away concentrating on what was going on outside her pride-centered world. The barrier Jean had put up was starting to inwardly get covered with ice and although it was no threat to those outside, Aurora could feel the intense coldness weakening her fire. The cage of flames was still dancing around the younger girl and the fiery mutant alone could tell it's strength was decreasing. The only chance to keep the current state was boosting the flow of power towards it but doing this, Garnet knew she would take the risk of burning down everything around if the icey aura suddenly disappeared.

Hence - instead of acting - the material girl did nothing at all which she thought to be the wisest decision to make. It was a rare thing to happen, yet in that very instant Circe cursed her too specific, too limited powers. People like Aran had a larger variety of actions to be taken and if his solar cage would have been as useless as hers at the moment, plant boy would still have had the option of intoxicating the aggressor with an auto-synthesized narcotic.

Thinking of the greening mutant reminded her of the reason due to which she had originally come to this meeting. Was there no way of stopping that waste of time so they could quickly finish the conference and finally do something?

"What is it with trouble that it arises in unsuiting moments only?"
, she muttered in a frustrated manner flicking her hair. This day totally sucked!

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
Everything seemed to happen so fast. One moment he was talking to Riley about their team the next all action breaks loose in the war room. As he sat there one of the other mutants, Mandra, had dealt a fairly heavy blow on Riley, but before Sean could do anything to help his friend Riley had got up and was stood behind Garnet, cupping his nose as blood trickled from it. He watched as the pretty fire mistress controlled a cage of the dangerous element around Mandra, But Sean could sense the conflict inside Mandra, something was urging her to do this action.

He soon felt the presence of the barrier put up by his mother's powerful mind, and although he had complete faith in her ability, he couldn't help flinching a little as the confused elemental battered the invisable barrier with shards of ice, shards that could have caused more than just injury to the war room occupants.

Sean's mind quickly slipped to Dawn, he didn't realise it had straight away, but after the previous night, the closeness, the next stage, he felt so close to her. He realised at that moment though, just how close, if things got worse here, despite peoples efforts, she would have been his last thought, the one he loved so much.

Although this warmed him slightly, he knew this was definately not the place to start lingering on thoughts like that, he pushed the image of his loved one to the side of his mind and slowly stood from his place, moving carefully next to Jean, his shadowed eyes locked on the diminishing fire cage as ice crept around the barrier around Mandra. Focusing his mind and without taking his gaze off of the confused girl he spoke to his mother.

What can I do, she's very confused, somethings not right, i can sense it mum. Jus tell me what to do and I'll try, you no I've been making loads of progress in my powers, have faith in me.

Sean's mind was now focus, he knew that without his visor, his optic blasts would be of little help here, to unleash them without control would be far to dangerous, possably causing more damage than Mandra herself. Sean carefully checked his glasses were fixed on properly and awaited his mothers answer, if their was to be one...

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
It was time to take the initiative.

Aurora knew at the very instant Sean stepped at his mother's side to help her in whichever way he was able to. As much as the fiery mutant trusted her own powers, she was totally aware of Jean's superiority when it came to caging for - naturally - a energetic field which served as a wall could keep someone inside without harming the person in question. Fire couldn't. It was rather a means of deterrance at least when it was used to such a weak degree as the current situation demanded.

For once, however, the threat Mandra represented was warded off and fearing to let the chance pass unattendedly, Garnet cleared her throat to catch the others' attention. For a second, she was uncertain of how to formulate what needed to be said but compared to finding a way to start, the rest was child's play.

"I apologise but we seriously need to concentrate on matters of greater importance. I might be overreacting, still signs hint at troubles ahead that must not be taken easily.
A demon by the name of Belthazor or rather his human alter ego has - supposedly more than once - entered the Institute threatening students and apparently kidnapped Arisa Howlett. Connor, her brother, told me about it and I trust him on this.
As if this was not enough, some people were acting in a manner implying the possibility of a replacement or possession of some sort"

At the very instant she had spoken those words, Aurora realized that possession actual was probable, yet at the same time the ebony-haired didn't fail to notice the strangeness of what she had said and cracked a smile.

"I realize this might seem fairly far-fetched but without spilling the details here it is to say that those in question - Rogue and Aran'kla Tzho-Quentin - were not only acting against their habits but contradicting their nature.
Adding up to that, the two of them, Storm, Tinkerbell, Dream and several others - all in all eight - cannot be found within the Institute's boundaries and according to Cerebro have literally disappeared over night"

The Gold Strike Force member let pass some moments of silents to give the others a chance to let her words sink in. More than hoping they were all actually listening, considering her serious news, she wanted all of those she was talking about to be alright. Sometimes it seemed this sanctuary meant even more danger to the mutants seeking for shelter than what safety it provided.

"All of what I fear is mainly based on suspicion, still I believe we should investigate the named cases. That there is a need to act in regards to Arisa is as far as I am concerned out of question"

As she had finished, Garnet sat down again waiting for commands. If there were none to come, she would gather some students and form a task force herself, that was for certain. Sometimes, if you want things to be done, you need to do them yourself.

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
The symbnol and eyes that ha dbeen so brightly lit a split second ago dimmed almost to normal And Mandi fell to her knees, the ice around her stopping in it's rapid growth as she did so. She gripped the sides of her hear...

" Ah, don' worry, chere... Jus' res' fo now... It look like yo still fightin'..."

Mandi tried to push herself back up onto her feet.. She tried to regain her senses but her mind felt too clouded for her to think straight...

" Jus calm down, Mandi... No need tah think... Jus' go sleep..." The voice in her mind told her.

She fell completely onto the floor, unable to resist the sleep... it was as if someone had pressed an off switch on her or something... Mandi's eyes closed and her symbol dimmed completely.

" Be stronga next time, chere... Don' let me down..."

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
"Mandra!" Jarod's voice was filled with concern and panic as she fell limp on the ground, his own body knelling beside hers to check if she was alright "She is ill, there is something wrong with her, she does not act like this." He looked towards Jean with his dark eyes almost pleadingly for her to fix whatever was wrong with Mandra. No one was to know that Belthazor was behind her odd behavour just as much as he was behind Riley's and all the other unusual happenings befalling the school at this time.

"Jarod, take her down to the Medical Bay, have her restrained just incase but stay with her, Sean, you and the others head back to your classes." Jean's eyes turned towards Garnet sternly "You stay behind, Riley, Spike, us stay with me as well," Jean waited for everyone to leave the room before she looked towards Riley, trying not to look as exhausted and helpless as she felt.

"With the Professor having been attacked you're not permitted to leave the school on your own, make sure you have someone with you at all times for your own safety." It only made the people Xavier was promising protection to put in more danger, if someon thought just because the Professor was hurt, they might have a chance of getting to one of their people, it would mean only more trouble they where not prepared to handle.

"Yes ma'am," Riley replied without any disagreement to the restrictions, he hardly went out, heck, he never went out, not at least for the past 6 months. It wasn't a big change on his life, thought he might want to go out with Catherine but since he wasn't alone and had his girlfriend that would probably be alright..

"I also want you to organise patrol teams to sweep the area, two hour shifts around the clock until we figure out what's going on, that's all for now, you're dismissed Riley." Riley gave a slight nod and moved off, though he had the strongest urge to salut like he was trained to do when given orders, but that would just make him stand out and as Catherine said.. If people start to figure out about the Initiative, their lives as well would be in danger, and he didn't want any more blood on his hands.

"Garnet, I'm sorry, what were you where saying." Pulling her scattered mind from its jumbled thoughts, Jean glanced over towards Garnet, the elder X-woman having already lost the topic Garnet had brought up during all the chaos.
