Re: Do dead ones live?
Not only was she shoved aside for actually bothering to show some form of concern for Connor, he then has the never to send her as a messanger because Madison's too busy to go on a mission. Sure Connor looked wrecked, and his bone claws where....metallic like his fathers, that just didn't make sense, how did they get like that? And how was she going to explaine to Storm that Madison refused to come, hopefully she'll get into a lot of trouble for ignoring this urgant call. Frost couldn't help but allow the corner of her lips to curve slightly in amusement as she glanced back at the two girls following her. Shamilar Creed...she didn't get the other girls name but she had the feeling the other girl with Shamilar wasn't a member of Gold Strike Force.

Beth seemed to have a personal reason as to why she wanted to go with the team to fight those demons or whatever it was they where fighting. Part of Frost just wanted to turn and order her to turn around and buzz off, but her attitude wasn't very nice so she had the feeling it would be simplure if Storm yelled at her instead.

As Frost entered the War Room, she ignored the guy there and folded her arms impatiently as she looked towards her team leader.

"Storm, Madison Enright refused to come to the meeting, she turned her communicator off as well, her brother told me to tell you that they're still recovering from the last mission." She shrugged, she wasn't told about the last mission and she had no idea what that mission was really, but Connor's acting rather agressive and she assumed it might be because of whatever happened during that mission. She unfolded her arms and placed them on her hips as she glanced about...she was the only one in the room other then that guy. She hated being first, it made her look like a teachers pet desperate to please the adults.

"So...what's the meeting for?" The blonde girl asked as her white fringe framed the sides of her face, she had a hunch it had something to do with that freaky insane guy who she had seen in the med bay the other day..

quick introduction
Storm had welcomed every arrival with a nod offering a small smile and a gesture implying she wanted to wait for more to come before saying anything about the call's reason.

"Pardon me, Storm, I have been held up"

In a hurry, Aurora rushed in wearing a long dress of a deep blue, silky material which, as most of her clothes, was fire-resistant.
The ebony-haired beauty flashed a smile at everyone - she didn't know anyone except for their leader which was something she had never thought to be possible - and quickly sat down on one of the free chairs.
Why was everybody else standing when this way, it was much more comfortable?

The Gold Strike Force's Leader nodded seriously.
"No one of you has come too later, don't worry"

Ororo sighed a little hearing about Madison. She hadn't seemed to be that complicated at the initial training.
"I will have a word with Wolverette later on. At the time being, there are more important matters to be dis... excuse me, may I help you?"

The weather witch interrupted herself noticing Beth.

"This is a team meeting so, sorry, but I have to ask you to leave, please"
Without leaving the girl a chance to reply, Storm gently directed her outside and closed the door.

"Aurora, would you...? We mustn't let anyone interfer, however, Arisa is still missing"

Circe nodded and got up. Her motions hardly causing any sound other than the quiet whisper of her clothes, she went to one of the computer's interfaces.
After the system had been modified, Ororo had slightly lost the overview over the more complex functions except for those being absolute necessities in cases of emergency.

"Only those possessing a communicator have the permission to enter now"
the fiery mutant announced after some seconds and sat down again waiting for Storm to inform them.

After having taken a short look around, the windrider decided to begin.
"I believe we should begin, even with Arisa missing. Truth be told I would not have been keen on having her in this mission anyway since this - although our first one as a team and unfortunately without any proper training - is of the utmost danger.
For this reason, everyone is free to decide whether you want to join or refuse. If you decide for the second option, this will be of no disadvantage for you!

However, before I get into detail, I'd like to introduce you to each other quickly. Changes had to be made due to different reasons but I trust you'll come along well with each other.
You will have some time to at least get to know each other a little better afterwards but for now, names, codenames and a short description of your mutations have to be enough"

The windrider seized a look at the person she was introducing.

"Jarod Xavier, psychic - he will be the second in command
Anna Drake, also known as Frostbite. Her power is that of ice.
Shamilar Creed, also called Vulpine. She has supernatural speed, agility, strength and related.
Aurora Garnet Ferelle, codename Circe. She controls the element of fire.

Those are my informations so far. If there is something you feel is not right, please don't hesitate to correct me.

By the way for those who might not know me: I am Ororo Munroe, named Storm after my power of controlling the weather.

An apologetic smile crossed the X-Man's features as she sighed quietly.

"I wished we would have gathered under different circumstances and had more time to really become a team, however, time is something we definately not have.

Lately, a dimensional vortex had been opened into our Institute through which three vampires entered this world. At the time being, two of them are walking freely while one has apparently changed sides and supports us now.
Those two I was talking of are named Angelus and Drusilla. Both are ancient, powerful and as far as we know what you might consider truly evil.

In addition, it is almost for certain that at least Angelus will not hesitate for long to spread havoc as he did in his world where he even found a way to block out the sunlight forever to walk freely even throughout the day.
To prevent he causing harm to anyone in our world, we are currently forming a task force to destroy him and everything he is attempting to build up.

Further details of the mission will be explained to the task force itself later on. Again, I am sorry to do everything in such a haste but this is the only way.
Emphasizing that this will be truly dangerous and with the option to pose questions, I ask you now:

Who volunteers to come with us?"

Storm had expected everyone to be silent for some minutes, thinking, struggling with themselves and had already thought about a way to inform Circe about the Professor's wish, but to her surprise, the girl spoke immediately after the windrider had ended.

"I do"
A flame was burning in Circe's eyes as she raised a hand. She knew about the danger but her broken pride had to be healed.

*After all, what is left of me when my pride is gone?*

(OOC: ok folks, I know I'm being a little unfair doing it all in a rush and throwing Beth out of the room BUT I need to stay in character, as you surely understand, and Storm is a true leader by nature. She doesn't discuss for hours whether or even why someone who doesn't belong to her team should stay in the meeting room so if you planned on having her join the mission, please talk to the admins to find another way coz I simply can't arrange it without getting OOC. I hope you can understand that as well as the haste in general. There's no point in having it all abroad like in the first meeting since this time, there's something to be decided quickly.
My apologies if you feel like being treated badly, however, as I said, I hope you can understand the reason why!)

Re: quick introduction
A smirk crossed Anna's lips as she listeed to othe quick intro and description of their teammates and mission, right down to the point, she liked that, much less boring then the last meeting.

"I'm in." Frost may have been slightly nervous over the idea of facing vampires, part of her was still trying to convince herself that those things where real. But another part felt cocky about the chance of going off on an important mission and leaving Madison out of the loop for once.

Her eyes did howver seem to glare over towards Garnet rather unhappily, she disliked fire types, always showing off with their flames without a care in the world about others. Anna's body began to lose its pinkish cream compleextion as it began to grow pale and turn to a silvery pale icy blue colour, her eyes becoming dark and her hair turning completely white. Her skin glistened slightly as tiny specks of ice formed over her cold skin, her uniform was specially made to both resist the constent changing of freezing degrees and to keep her body cool during the warmer weather.

The young Xavier gave Ms Munroe an uncomfortable glance for a moment, how could he be in charge of a team, he barely knows anything about such things. He was simply a pretender and simulations expert, but if he was told to do something, he wouldn't go against anyones wishes.

The chill in the air around Frostbite became more noticable in her other form, not that she did it on purpose to spit anyway, even though sometimes she may act as if she does. Taking in a deep breath as she stared down at the ground, an icy chill of mist was seen escaping her dark greyish blue lips as she breathed out. Alright, she was ready to go kick unholy demon butts, let's hope some of them dislike the cold...

Re: How to kill someone who's already dead?
While Storm ignored Anna's change having been around mutants of all kind for too long to even notice it consciously anyway and simply nodded thankfully as she volunteered, Circe tilted her head slightly.
Raising an eyebrow, the fiery mutant watched her elemental counterpart inconspiciously and - for some reason unknown even to herself - had the feeling that they would have a.... difficult kind of relationship.
As far as she was concerned, it was just fine. People like this Frostbite tended to lack a certain warmth - emotionally spoken - which was something Aurora had problems coming along with anyway.

The material girl's attention drifted back to their leader as Ororo began to speak again.

"Okay, so as to now, we have Anna and Garnet. Anybody else? Remember, none of you has to!"

Pretending it to be coincidental, the windrider's eyes met Jarod's. She didn't want him to feel obliged to partcipate.

(OOC: to speed things up, we'll have a

Re: quick introduction
The Pretender took in a quiet deep breath, barely out in the world and already off on dangerous missions, really he didn't mind, if he was helping someone, then he'd give it his best.

"I'd be delighted to offer my assistance Ms Munroe." He offered kindly, his eyes watching Frostbite for a moment, he'd never seen something like that before....then again, there was much he has never seen. He was still wrapped up in thoughts over the new arrival of that android, that girl seemed so life-like, and yet she was a machine..

He blinked and focused his mind on what was happening around him, he was still easily distracted with all these new things. He waited patiently, unsure what to do next though allowing himself time to think over what he has learned from her speech....he's met a few vampires, only those who've worked for Cole and Black in A.Corp in the underground chambers.
