Nick Knight awoke in his room after only a short while of sleep. Even in this new place Lacroix was with him, if not in physical presence than in spirit. They had almost resolved things when Nick had staked Lacroix's sire but after Natalie they had pulled away again and Nick knew it was only a matter of time before the ancient vampire caught up with him in their never ending cycle.
As he sat up he heard a sound and made his way out of the room and down to the lobby, calling softly as his vampire hearing picked up things.
"Spike? Angel?" he called softly, hoping that the sound was only one of them moving about. Somehow though he didn't think that that was all it was. Something else was here.

(ooc-I'm not really sure what Natalie and Lacroix look like, so I'm going to be veeeeery vague...)
Rachel's mind seemed to split, half focusing on Spike, the other half now stalking the new guest. She didn't even have to dig very far to discover what caused him pain, but first, like always, she'd play with him...
Her form appeared behind him, totally invisible to his eyes, with a faint half smile the red haired vampire alters her appearence. Taking on the illusion of Natalie, someone he cared enough about to distance himself from her.
Reaching out, the illusion of Natalie gently touches his shoulder, as he turned around to see her, she gave a soft comforting smile.
Nat-Illusion:"Finally, I've found you.."
She whispered gently as she slightly tilted her head to the side, looking over his face with curiousity.

*As the Dru-Illusion began to speak once again Spike closed his eyes and muttered to himself that she wasn't real.*
Dru-Illusion:"You remember right, all the screaming, the fire, it was so perfect, can you still hear them? Like music, echoing in your mind, their cries, their pleas, they begged for you to leave them alone, you didn't, so why should I leave you alone when you beg me?"
*Spike tried to wipe away the memory but as he did the voices started up again. He opened his eyes and tried to sit up properly but was stopped by Dru's head on his chest, he stopped still and it all felt a little awkward to him, but as she lifted her head he sat up still, like he had intended. The voices were loud, the screaming, crying and desperate pleas which he had ignored back so many years ago. But only one thing was louder than the voices that Spike could understand, and that was Dru.*
Dru-Illusion:"You think you're different? You're not..came back to me Spikey, came out and play.."
*He tried to ignore her and tried to focus in overcoming the voices.*
Dru-Illusion:"Came out into the light.."
Spike: "...I'm not like you anymore, understand? I'm different!"
*He replaied shaking his head and quickly pulling his hand out and away from Dru.*

(ooc-check the roleplaying talk forum, I just added a piccy of Nat and Nick and one of Lacroix to help you out.)
Nick gave in for just a moment, feeling her against him. It was all he had ever wanted ever since he had left Toronto. Still though things weren't the same now. This wasn't Natalie, not the one he had nearly killed then left alone.
"Nat.." he said, longingly. "It's not you, you can't be here. I hurt you, nearly killed you and not changing is the problem," Nick said, his eyes filled with pain for despite what his head was telling him, that this couldn't be Nat, he had never thought with his head.
That had been the difference between him and Lacroix, the reason why he hadn't been able to get along with his master. Lacroix was the logical one who thought everything through. Nick thought with his heart and followed his instincts, which weren't always rational.
He wanted Natalie to be here so badly and despite his head's warnings he could feel himself slipping away to her.

Dru-Illusion:"How can you change?"
She hissed at him angrily.
Dru-Illusion:"I made you, you're always going to be part of me, you can't ever change what you've done, you can't change what you are."
A dark smile spread across her lips as she moved closer towards him once again.
Dru-Illusion:"It doesn't matter you know...because you may be able to believe you've changed, but the others....they'll never be able to lie to themselves. You'll see, they'll remember who they truely are...and then you'll be aaaaall alone..."
Suddenly she appeared behind him, vanishing from infront of him in a blink of an eye, as if she was never standing there, as if she'd been behind him the whole time, she leaned gainst him, whisper yet again in his ear.
Dru-Illusion:"We'll see how nobal you are when your friends turn against you, when they give in to their instincts and destroy those standing in their way....you'll crawl back to me...you always have.."
With that she vanished, leaving Spike truely alone.
Nick
For a moment she was silent, just smiling and looking over his face, as if she'd been away, searching him out for so long, and now she's found him, after all this time.
Nat-Illusion:"Of course I'm here, I had to come, had to warn you, these creatures, they're not like you, I've seen the horrors they have done, I know what they plan on doing, it's something terrible, you have to stop them, let me help you stop them..."
Her hand reached out and touched his arm, she moved closer, her other hand gently touching his chin as if proving she was really there. She flashes another smile as her hand drops by her side.
Nat-Illusion:"Let me help you just one last time."
She pleaded eagerly, longing for his answer to be yes.

*He yelled turning arund, as he did his faced altered into that of a vampire, but as soon as he finished the Dru-Illusion was no longer there. Spike looked around trying to find her, but there was only silence outside of him and the yelling of voices inside.*
Spike: "...Damn it!"
*He muttered and sat back down in the seat he had fallen asleep in, resting his elbows on his knees and his head on his hands trying to stay still to try and calm the voices down. There wasn't much else he could do, without them hurting him more...*

Opening his eyes, his head slowly turned to the figure laying next to him in his bed, leaping out of his bed in shock he glared down at the woman.
Angel:"Darla? You can't just..!"
He trailed off, realizing that can't be Darla.
Angel:"What do you want?"
He groaned grumpily, the blond haired vampire sat up and smiled.
Darla-Illusion:"I've seen what you're going to do, I'm going to stop you, you're both dangerous, I wont leave until you're stopped."
Angel:"What is it you think I'm going to do!?"
He growled confused over what she was on about.
Darla-Illusion:"Not think Angelus, I know, I've seen what's to come, I wont allow you to destroy this world as well."
Angrily he reached out to grab her, but she disappeared.
Angel:"And it's Angel! He's not me! I'm different to him!"
Rubbing his eyes he gives up, she wasn't real, he didn't have to talk to her, maybe if he ignored her she'd go away...
He moved up the stairs to go back out into the hall, but as he swang open the door he froze, a look of horror spreading across his face.
Angel:"..Je-Jennifer?"
Her dark features stood almost hidden by the shadows around them, anxiety filled his soul, she wasn't ment to be around him, he left to get away from her!
Jennifer:"Thinky ou could hide from me? You hurt me, then you tried to kill everyone I loved, how dare you avoid me!"
Angel:"No, but we, you see it wasn't, I'm not.."
Jennifer:"And then I offer you to drink from me to get up your strengths and you nearly kill me again!"
Angel:"I apologised!"
Jennifer:"Yeah, for trying to kill me again!"
Angel:"Jen I-"
The ex-lover of his glared at him, then adding another shock to his day, she vamps out, her yellow eyes flaring with anger. That's when he realized it wasn't Jen, he may have been crazed after returning from hell when he last saw the Slayer, but he most certainly didn't allow her to drink his blood.
Backing into the wall as he steps away from her, he avoided looking at her, then pushed his way passed her, ignoring her hurtful comments.
The thing that made him feel worse about nearly killing Jen was the fact it was him, Angel, he couldn't blame it on Angelus, and that's what hurt more then anything else..
As he spots Spike on the couch, he didn't look like he was feeling well, the voices must be hurting him again..
Maybe Angel was going crazy, maybe, of course he was, when you start seeing illusions you know somethings not right.
Angel:"...Spike?"
He asked quietly, he looked back towards his door, Jennifer was gone, maybe Spike was just an illusion as well, he did say he was off to bed..

*Spike slowly lifted his head up and looked at Angel, he was still in his vampire mode but hadn't realised over the voices and the pain. He began to rub his forehead to try and help stop the pain, although it didn't really have any effect.*
Spike: "...Dru...wa-"
*He began to say but stoped as his hand felt the vampire features on his face, then slowly his face changed back to normal.*
Spike: "...Dru...No, the Illusion or whatever of Dru was here, again...I fell asleep and she was just standing there when I woke up..."
*He let out a slight groan of pain, although he didn't really want to show it, he was in pain.*
Spike: "...She said, all this...stuff...Whoever she is nuts..."
*He looked around noticing that it was only he and Angel in the lobby. The voices were still loud, but Spike tried his best to overcome them.*
Spike: "Where's Nick? You don't think..."
*He shook his head with a small smirk*
Spike: "...Nuh, she wouldn't know about him being here."

Logical thought flew through his mind once more. Natalie wasn't like this. Nat was the one who had been forcing him to stop drinking plasma, to drink her strange brews of terrible herbal ingredients that reaffirmed his opinions about drinking blood. Natalie didn't approve of his vampire nature and it had been her helping him to find the cure he had always sought. In the end it had nearly cost her life and still no cure.
She wouldn't have wanted him near the vampires, that much was true but she wouldn't go about it this way. Natalie may have hated Lacroix, Janette even Vachon but she had never asked him to kill them or to take hostile action. Besides how could she possibly know?
"Nat," Nick said, voice whispering. "How do you know? I think they're like me. They're looking for a cure too. You can help all of us, isn't that was you always wanted? What are they planning on doing?" he asked although his heart was breaking. All he wanted was to hold her, not to question her. He couldn't give in though. He had to stay strong and make sure it was really her.

Taking a step away from him as she replies to his questions, Rachel outside unwillingly gave a twitch of her hand as her body began to grow weak over her prolonged Astral Projection.
Nat-Illusion:"Nick, these aren't like the others, they may seem like you, but trust me, I've seen what they are capable of doing, I know what they plan on doing! It's horrible..!"
Meanwhile Angel thought over what Spike had asked, surely she or it, whatever the creature was wouldn't go after Nick? Then again it was silly to risk leaving him alone until they discovered what her game was.
Angel:"No point risking it, might as well go get him, NICK !"
He yells out loudly as he turns and heads ofr the stairs.
Angel:"NICK!"
He yells again once he makes it to the top, Natalie spins about, then anxiously looks back at Nick.
Nat-Illusion:"I can't let them know I'm here, I need to dig up some more info on these guys, what ever's going to happen, it'll be soon, trust no one, I'll return with some more evidence, you'll see I'm right."
With that she quickly wrapped her arms around him, throwing in a kiss on the cheek before rushing off around a corner, just as Angel appeared on the oppisite side of him.
Angel:"..Oh..uh...hey."
Taking a quick glimpse about the place Angel then studied Nick's expression.
Angel:"..You ok? You look a little...uh....did you find your room?"
Outside Rachel let out a big sigh of relief when she was able to return to her body, for a group of murderous future destroyer'sof the world...they seemed pretty devoted to good and wanting to get rid of evil.
What happens between now and then that changes them so much? But she's been to the future, she's seen Angel and Spike and some other chick that isn't around, that Drusilla one, they where all causing havok.
Maybe this Nick Knight could be the link that helps stop these vampires from the inside, he wasn't part of the vampires responsible for the destruction.
Leaping from the tree, she silently rushes off, already planning on returning later to continue her chat with Nick.

Nick looked spooked as the illusion faded but he tried not to let it show.
"Yah I found my room, it's nice," he said quickly. "I just came down, thought I heard something but it wasn't anything."
He wasn't sure about Nat, after all she had just run off and how would Nat know anything about vampires unless...he hadn't checked on her afterwards, she could have been easily turned. Who could really say for sure? He had only Lacroix's word that Natalie had recovered and really, despite their years together how much could Nick really trust him. He'd give Natalie or whatever this thing was a chance. Perhaps it was just his heart but perhaps it really had been her.
Nick noticed Angel waiting for him to say something and smiled sadly. "It was just a memory."

*Spike stood up out of the chair and slowly trailed after Angel, the voices slowed him down and he didn't want to move to fast up the stair in case an accident might occur. Once up the stairs he heard Nick finish speaking. Lucky for Spike the voices were slowly dying down.*

Nick wasn't terrible at lying but he wasn't the best at it either. He kept his face straight, trying to hide what he had just seen as he said, "Nothing, I just thought I heard something. Why? Is there anything I should watch out for?" he asked curiously, only half to change the subject.
*Spike looked over to Angel, should they tell him or not?*
Spike: "Well, just be carefull, since many different demons have stayed here you don't know what'll turn up..."
*His voice trailled off as he looked around, he wasn't sure what he was looking for, but he just wanted to make sure everything was safe, or at least as safe as it can get.*

Nick only had to think about it for a minute. As much as he loved Natalie or whatever it was that had taken her form he had to find out more about these vampires, to see if they were as dangerous as she had said, by himself.

Giving a slight nod, Angel turned and made his way to the basement, the other vamps following closely behind.
He paused at the basement door, the basement was his own personal area, it was like...his study, his room, it was the only place where he'd feel most at peace.
But it was also the entrance tot he sewer system...
He opend the door and walked down the stairs, glancing nervously at the bed to make sure Darla..or the illusion of Darla any way, wasn't there again.
He looked back over his shoulders, almost as if making sure no one was snooping about at his personal belongings, although the room was rather empty save for the fridge in the corner, the bed beside the fridge and the desk off to the side by the stairs.
The desk was the most cluttered part of his room, which was odd because everything else about his room suggested a neat freak, even the desk in his office was perfectly arranged.
The pile of books in the corner had gathered dust, along with all the other objects aside from the wooden stake placed right in the center of the desk...it seemed nicely polished compared to the other dusty objects.
While he was glancing back he didn't notice the barrels of blood that weren't there before, he knocked into one but grabbed it before it spilled with annoyed groan.
Angel:"He knows we have a storage room for these, I told him we had a storage room, I showed him the storage room, why can't he put them in the storage room?"
He looked back at Spike but then turned around with a wave of his hand.
Angel:"I'm move them later."
He climbed down a hole and entered the sewer system, looking up he stepped back and began and waiting for the others.

Nervously Nick climbed into the sewers with an expression of digust. It seemed vampires here were a little different than those in Toronto. He remembered holing up in the trunk of his car for a full day rather than take the sewers. It hadn't even crossed his mind earlier to walk around below.
"So you guys use sewers then," he said, just for the sake of conversation.

Spike: "Yeah."
*She said quickly, looking over the sewers as they walked.*

"I guess things are different in Canada," Nick said, not mentionning that they must be different in every single other part of the world he had been in as well for the sake of politeness. There you go, it seemed he had picked something up while being in Toronto.
"Where exactly are we heading and how long do we have to be down here for?" Nick asked, trying to sound like he didn't care although in truth he wanted to be out of the sewers quickly. He'd only been down here for a minute and it was already getting to him, he certainly wouldn't last long enough if the journey took awhile.
