Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
"An' here we are!" Approaching the old, yet well kept, building after crossing a street, Spike climbed the stairs towards the large three story hotel and shifted the bag from his right hand into his left with the other so he could search about for the keys. Once he fished them out of his coat pocket, Spike slipped them into the lock on the door and and turned them, a clicking sound resonating on the other side to inform Spike the door has been unlocked.

"This place is called the Renaissance Hotel, you'll recognize the owner right away, he'll be the one broodin' about all the time." There was a smirk with the teasing comment as Spike walked into the large hall, making his way over towards the doorway that lead into the kitch, there was a frame without any actual door to it. Spike.. having no idea what needed to be put n the freezer and what was for the cupboard and fridge, just placed both bags into the fridge, Arisa can sort through them later. There was a slightly panicked sensation rippling through him as he stared at the bottles of blood on the bottom shelves and he quickly shut the fridge.. he'd best take them all down stairs into Angel's private room, that or get his own small fridge in his room.

"Right so.. uh... Arisa!?" Walking back into the main hall quickly, he started speaking towards Percy but then called out for Arisa to see if she was about, "Well, look's like we're alone," Spike moved to the bench nearby, it was where people are meant to sit to take reservations and such, but it was mostly filled with a scattering of sheets and books about demons, guest lists and current jobs Angel was working on. Spike fiddled around in an attempt to tidy the place up while he spoke.

"I used to be a demon hunter.. the other guy, the broody one I mentioned, he sorta is still, takes on jobs that has t'do with demons or anything demonic.." There was a slightly awkward look about him, as if he wasn't sure what to say and everything he thought of made him uncomfortable. "Mind if I ask why you traveled through time?" That ought to do it, let's change the subject off demons and towards something else.. Spike didn't realize that the very reason the human DID travel was because of demons and who they had taken aware from him.

Re: Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
the world around him seemed to have changed radically, he payed little attention to spike as he followed him, he wasnt speaking much sense for a while anyway. The few people they passed were met with intrigued glances, the ladies were not wearing much at all, it embarrased him a lot to see them even though they were normal for this time, he didnt understand.

"An' here we are!"

Percy stared up at the building, wishing he could see it properly but it didnt look much different to where he used to live in london. "This place is called the Renaissance Hotel, you'll recognize the owner right away, he'll be the one broodin' about all the time." 'renaissance hotel' it had a ring to it, he knew somewhere with renaissance in the title"it looks like a nice place he has here" the words really werent usual of him, he was just a little awestruck by the whole thing, the city, the people.

following william to the kitchen he began once more looking round at the objects but his damaged lens was preventing him from seeing properly. in frustration he snatched them off, holding them in his hand, it didnt make it any better so he replaced them again, just missing the contents of the fridge. once more he followed the vampire into the main hall, like a puppy being taken for a walk the first time

"I used to be a demon hunter.. the other guy, the broody one I mentioned, he sorta is still, takes on jobs that has t'do with demons or anything demonic.."

A Demon hunter.. he now felt stupid for mentioning vamipres like he did, this man obviously knew a little about them himself, but the fact that the owner took on demon related jobs interested him, maybe he could offer his services in return for a place to stay for a while, after all if he wasnt good at the killing part he could design and make weapons better than everyone he knew and the methods of killing demons couldnt change that much.

"Mind if I ask why you traveled through time?"

the question broke him from his thoughts of helping, reminding him of his failed quest.. there was a pause before he answered "there are two reasons actually.. the first was to prove that it could be done and that i'm not just a dreamer" he paused again, wondering wether he could disclose the truth about his time traveling.. in the end he decided that he could, after all this man was a demon hunter too and would probably be all too happy if they didnt exist "and the second reason is a bit deeper.. if you have a moment"

he sat, giving spike a chance to object but he didnt seem to do so "one night my uncle and i were walking home from a meeting, we were ambushed by a vampire and i was nearly killed.. uncle on the other hand was not so lucky. from that day i decided to hunt down these creatures, but it would have been foolish to just jump in so i spent years researching and developin ways to kill them, and their history." he paused, motioning towards his weapons bag which now lay on the floor next to him "these are the product of that investigation, but more importantly i discovered a crucial flaw in the history of demons.. a flaw that if exploited could have wiped them out thousands of ytears ago.. near the beginning..2 the next pause was to add drama to what he was saying "but it would seem tha i went the wrong way.." his tone changed from the dramatic now, not at all proud of his mistake

Re: Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
"there are two reasons actually.. the first was to prove that it could be done and that i'm not just a dreamer" That was a good thing, so he didn't let people discourage him, William continued with his poems even when people harrassed him about their complex and rarely heard words. "and the second reason is a bit deeper.. if you have a moment" The vampire had all of eternity, so he just took a seat opposite to Percy and placed his arms on the bench top, leaning forward slightly so he was in a more relaxed position.

"one night my uncle and i were walking home from a meeting, we were ambushed by a vampire and i was nearly killed.. uncle on the other hand was not so lucky. from that day i decided to hunt down these creatures, but it would have been foolish to just jump in so i spent years researching and developin ways to kill them, and their history." So he'd definitely know of Spike and Angelus if he had studied the history of vampires, they were powerful and famous, feared by all.. but he wouldn't know that they now had souls and were trying to redeem themselves with good deeds. Even if they didn't expect anything more from it then saving the lives of those they help.

"these are the product of that investigation, but more importantly i discovered a crucial flaw in the history of demons.. a flaw that if exploited could have wiped them out thousands of years ago.. near the beginning.." Raising an eyebrow curiously at this statement, Spike wondered what the flaw was.. they did have a few times that could have destroyed them, the most obvious was going back and destroying Cain, the first of all vampires. "but it would seem tha i went the wrong way.." Spike was more focused on what he had said about his uncle, staring down at the wooden bench quietly as he thought of his own mother.

"My mother was killed by a vampire.." He mumbled without much thought to it at first, "..I couldn't destroy him, I tried.. but I did eventually subdue him, trapped him away where he can't hurt no one else." He was of course refuring to Spike, to himself technically, but since Spike was soulless and William Spike was with a soul, it did make them two different creatures, just with the same memories and life.

"If I didn't have lil'Nibblet to take care over I would probably give anythin' to go back and destroy'im.. even if it meant riskin' goin' forward in time, least you tried t'do somethin'."

Re: Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
it pleased him that William was so engrossed in his story, usually when he spoke to people they ignored him, saying that he talked a load of nonsense but William seemed content to just listen till he'd finished, there was only one other person he knew who would do such a thing.. and he was now dead.

"My mother was killed by a vampire...I couldn't destroy him, I tried.. but I did eventually subdue him, trapped him away where he can't hurt no one else."

Percy's face dropped slightly, they seemed even more alike now and he felt sorry for his new friend's loss "it seem's i failed us both then" he stared at the weapons bag, his eyes catching sight of the papers at the bottom of the canvas holdall

"If I didn't have lil'Nibblet to take care over I would probably give anythin' to go back and destroy'im.. even if it meant riskin' goin' forward in time, least you tried t'do somethin'."

The words jogged his memory as he realised he was staring at the plans for his smashed machine... perhaps, but he shoved the thought away, william had 'Nibblet' to look after. "you did try something though, you said that he was somewhere he couldnt cause anyone any more harm" it didnt sound much consolation, the fact that he'd tried wasnt much of a consolation to Percy himself, so he imagined that it wasnt for William either.

the young inventor felt that they could both use some cheering up, normally when he was at home and miserable the housekeeper would make a pot of tea, she was always thoughtfull like that, or he would go and read or play his violin, but he didnt have his violin. When depression really set in though he could always go to the theatre, if there wasnt a play on there would nearly always be someone reciting poetry or playing music, he found that these things were a great release in times of misery.

"do you know any good poem's.." he thought it sounded like a random thing to say, not knowing william's history, though he did note a change int his expression at the mention of it "i just thought it might help to cheer us up a bit.." it would probably be pointless though, he was very down at the moment, and it usually took a nice cup of tea as well.

Re: Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
"you did try something though, you said that he was somewhere he couldnt cause anyone any more harm" Yeah, but that's not exactly what Spike had said, Spike said he had subdued the creature, not put him somewhere where he'd never be able to escape from, he was still a threat, just a currently contained one.

"do you know any good poem's.." The vampire's eyes had dropped for a moment in thought but now they lifted up again and stared at Percy, Spike loved poems and loved words but there was no way he was going to even repeat a sentance of something he has come up with. "i just thought it might help to cheer us up a bit.." The vampire allowed his eyes to slip away from Percy and stare over towards the few weapon display cases that were scattered along the walls in the large entrance hall.

"First, there's somethin' you ought to know.." It wasn't right, the man had to know about Spike, had to know he didn't mean any harm and that he was different.. "I was tortured by vampires." The words had slipped out when he started to inwardly panic about how the man might react upon finding out about his demonic nature. "If ya stayin'ere, it's only fair ya know that it still effects me when I'm stress." Spike uncomfortably slipped off the seat, "I think I might have somethin' to replace'em broken specs o'yours," Moving over to the stairs and making his way up to the next floor, his coat flapping about behind him as he hurried up the stairs. Using the enhanced speed he was gifted with, the vampire was gone for only a minute by the time he reappeared descending the stairs, this time without a coat and holding a case in his hands.

He had a black t-shirt on, the one Storm had given him in the first few days of living in the institute, glancing up from the case that held his old glasses and studying Percy's oddly dressed form. Walking closer towards the man, Spike held out the sleek blood red case with a golden trip about the edges of the case where it opened. Inside was a soft velvety protective cloth and the similar fabric coated the insides, when William moved the cloth aside another white cloth was beneath it, on the cloth the words 'K.M.' could be seen stitched into the corner in a golden thread.

It was obvious these golden framed glasses meant a lot to the blonde haired man, the way he was looking at them was making it nearly impossible to overlook the fact there was something very personal about these glass. They were the same old style as Percy's, but in very good condition, as if brand new, technically these where not Spike's, but the Spike of this world, that didn't change the connection William had towards them. The only reason he was willing to give these away were because part of him knew that he still had his own true pair hidden away back in his room in Lost Angels.. now he wanted to go back there just to get his things.

"I don' need'em any more, you can wear'ese until we get ya a better pair, though I suggest ya try a new thing we call 'Contacts' instead of glasses, they are better for when ya fightin' demons." Spike's fingers seemed to gently pulled the clean white hankie from the case and held it closer against his chest while waiting for the man to take the offered glasses or not. It was his mothers hankie, Katherine Masters, he had forgotten all about it, he had framed it for a long time, which is why it was still in okay condition. When he had been really out of his mind he had smashed the glass and taken it from there to hold it, he knew he had to put it back, it was just turning out to be very hard to let go of it.

Re: Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
To percy william seemed distant at the mention of poetry, perhaps he didnt like it though. "First, there's somethin' you ought to know.."inwardly he prepared himself, usually when someone said those words it came with bad news of some sort, maybe william was going to tell him he couldnt stay here "I was tortured by vampires."

a short period of relief flowed over him to know that it wasnt what he had thought, but that soon dissapeared as he realised how painfull a memory this must be for the man "If ya stayin'ere, it's only fair ya know that it still effects me when I'm stress." his face changed to an expression of pity, it must have been bad then, he could barely imagine what they must have done to him.

"I think I might have somethin' to replace'em broken specs o'yours," the quick subject change didnt go unnoticed by percy but he didnt mind, it was obviously too painful a subject for them to be talking about it. "tha.." he began to speak before realising that the man had dissapeared of quite quickly, he marvelled at how he managed it. while William was gone he stood and walked over to one of the cabinets, looking with great interest at what looked like a collection of weapons, but with his sight as it was he could be wrong.

the sound of walking on the stairs distracted him from his exploring and he made his way towards the centre of the room, stunbling slightly as his foot caught on the strap of his bag. quietly he studied what the man held out for him, guessing it was a spectacle case, this became clear when it was opened to reveal its contents. from the way william looked at the glasses it was obvious to percy that they were of great emotional value to him, in fact he almost refused the offer "I don' need'em any more, you can wear'ese until we get ya a better pair, though I suggest ya try a new thing we call 'Contacts' instead of glasses, they are better for when ya fightin' demons."

Reaching out he carefully picked them up "thankyou.. i dont know what to say" 'thankyou' hardly seemed the appropriate word, he'd said it so many times already today that he thought he'd wear it out. with a smile he removed his own glasses and pocketed them before putting william's on. "oh my.." he exclaimed as suddenly the world became clear again, he could now see what william actually looked like, he was surprised onw that he hadnt noticed everything before, the hairstyle, the clothes, he realised that he probably looked very out of place in his attire.

"As soon as i can i will return them, but now i can see properly i can show you some of my inventions.." he sounded over exited at the prospect of showing spike his weapons and gadgets, even though they probably werent that fantastic in a modern world "That is of course unless you have something else to do, but thre are a few things here that might interest a fellow demon hunter"

Re: Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
Watching as the man carefully picked them up, Spike wondered for a moment how he himself would look wearing those things again, especially with his changed appearence from back in the 1880's.

"thankyou.. i dont know what to say" Being what Spike was, he didn't hear the word thank you very much, Arisa had been one of the first humans to say it to him, so the word still held great meaning to Spike. "oh my.." Closing the case carefully once he had slipped the white cloth back inside, Spike placed it gently down under the counter, attempting not to allow it to get swollowed by the mass of papers.

"As soon as i can i will return them, but now i can see properly i can show you some of my inventions.." The fact Spike's older self had so much in common with the man helped spark his curiousity about the guy. "That is of course unless you have something else to do, but thre are a few things here that might interest a fellow demon hunter" Taking a seat, the vampire offered a rather bright smile, he hasn't had someone actually talk to him for a while, and Arisa has been in such a depressed state, and her mind was so muddled up by what Willow did to her that she wasn't the best talking companion right now.

"Go ahead," He sounded excited, he missed the things of his old time, so he would love to see them, even if they had improved weapons in this milleniam. As he got himself comfortable however, the phone rang loudly, and Spike's world had no use for phones like this, they had still possessed mobiles by not phonelines, so he still got startled everytime the hotels phone rang and wchoed through the great hall.

" 'Sxcuse me." Spike reached out and picked up the phone, placing the sleek silver cordless phone by his ear, "Renaissance Hotel," A voice could be heard, obviously female as she spoke with a rushed and almost frightened and nervous tone, though her words would have been impossible for Percy to understand, " 'at's right, Angel Investigations, we help th'helpless, what's the problem?" Holding the phone between his shoulder and the side of his head while he used his hands to find a pen and the Assignment Book.

The door burst open as a young woman made her way into the hotel, shutting the door behind her with a quick flick of her hand. Her long dark hair cascaded down about her shoulders as the Lost Angel's Vampire Slayer, Jennifer Demore, A.K.A, 'Rogue', walked towards the stairs looking ready for a rest after a hard days work. Spike snapped his fingers to get her attention as she began to pull her short leather jacket off, hesitating and then slipping it back on and flicking her hair that had been caught under the coat.

"We'll be right over luv," Hanging up the phone, noticing Rogue's eyes studying the strangely dressed man and then looking towards Spike. "Lady in apartment 35, number four on Hikkory Drive, got some nasty flesh eatin' critters scurryin' 'bout." Rogue rolled her dark eyes and then turned around, heading towards one of the weapon display cases and opening it, pulling out a sharp silver bladed dagger and placing it inside.

"I'm a Vampire Slayer, since when did us chosen ones handle flesh eating pests, Slimy green skinned gooey blobs, not to mention the giant insects? Where's Angel?" Spike glanced at Percy and then back at the otherworldly slayer and shrugged slightly. "I went shoppin' for Arisa an' then met our new guest'ere, haven't seen'im since he sulked off last night." She growned slightly as he stormed out of the hotel, Spike had worked extra hard so he was getting some time off to watch over Arisa and tend to the hotel since someone always had to hang back to watch over it.

"Sorry, go ahead." Rogue slammed the door unintentionally and Spike glanced over towards it and then focused his attention back on Percy keenly awaiting to see what he had to show.

Re: Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
"Go ahead," the exitement in william's voice pleased the inventor, it was rare for him now to have such a willing audience. the sound of the phone startled him almost as much as it did spike, but he didnt know what it was, staring in wonderment at the contraption the man was pressing against his head he almost forgot that he was holding his equipment bag, nearly bashing his leg with it.

"Renaissance Hotel, 'at's right, Angel Investigations, we help th'helpless, what's the problem?" Angel... he'd heard of that name somewhere... probably nothing important though, after all it was a common term, maybe it was meant in the context that they helped people so they were like 'Guardian Angels', it was obviously the name of their demon hunting business.

the noise of the door made him spin round to see the woman walking in, now he could see clearly he studied her strange attire.. why was a woman not wearing a dress... it was unheard of, perhaps she had been at a fancy dress party. he was too busy looking her over in confusion to notice much of what was said, he did catch the word slayer though, he knew what one of those was, a girl chosen to fight vampires and demons, that could be why she was dressed funnilly as a long dress could get in the way.

"Sorry, go ahead." William's voice broke him from his trance-like staring, he was now worried that he might have scared her a little by staring like that. "oh, yes.. the weapons" he opened the bag on the floor in front of him, spreading out its contents "these are mostly projects i'm still working on" he indicated a collection of sharp looking blades fixed to a leather strap "when finished this fixes to the wrist out of sight, then at the simple press of a button the blades shoot out in an arcing motion then go back" he tried to demonstrate the action with his hands "it's called the 'Decapitator', i designed it for.. well, you can probably guess"

he dropped the half finished decapitator onto the floor and picked up his truncheon "this is one of the first i made.. soaked daily in an assortment of holy water and annointed oils it holds the moisture thus making it deadly to any vampire it comes in contact with" he paused, swinging it round a few times, the leather strap flapping as he did so "it also has a clip to be mounted on a utility belt, which i will get into later" once more he put it down, picking up the pair of revolvers, they were of an old style and were heavy, but he'd spent a lot of time and effort in making them so would never replace them

"These are a favorite of mine, sure they are largely inefective against vampire's but they tend to slow them down a lot, also if you use a special load they could take a head clean off, though i havent actually tried out that theory yet" he placed them carefully on the floor so as not to make them go off. "and now we move onto the full 'demon hunter' kit he stood up and carefully removed his coat, exposing the collection of weapons mounted around his person.

"on the right arm you will see the crossbow, you've already met that one" it sounded like some sort of commercial, he enjoyed this demonstrating, the bow was neatly folded up so it would look largely inconspicuous under the coat, he unstrapped it with his left hand and dropped it to the floor "on my left arm" he held it out so william could see "is a device used for squirting either holy water or a special concoction i made which reacts with air to produce flames" he pointed the a tube coming off the squirter and followed it to a bottle mounted on his belt "this contains enough for 1 hour continuous squirting.. well its more of a fine mist" he pointed it towards the door and demonstrated, the water coming out was very little in fact but would probably have the same effect on a vampire.

and now we come to the utility belt" he'd removed the squirter as well, he glanced at his audience to see if it was still interested, it appeared to be so he continued, holding up the harness he called a utility belt, it looked more like a climbing harness than a belt "made out of lightweight canvas it can hold the weight of three men, but here is the best bit" he pointed to a round caselike thing mounted on one side "i call it a grappler, it has a wire inside that allows the user to drop off the side of.. say a building and not fall to their death, the special coil inside slows the user's descent and is very usefull for dropping in uninvited"

Re: Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
"oh, yes.. the weapons" Spike watched intently on the gadgets being placed down on the floor "these are mostly projects i'm still working on" The vampire made his own weapons as well, he used to anyway, and now he just plays around with things, fixes them up, polishes them, most of his time has been spent on his new laptop, he's been learning all about computers and is even considering setting up a large database on demons instead of flicking through pages of a book for hours looking for information you can find a click of a button.

"when finished this fixes to the wrist out of sight, then at the simple press of a button the blades shoot out in an arcing motion then go back" Sounds painful, the vampire looked amused while Percy explained things. "it's called the 'Decapitator', i designed it for.. well, you can probably guess" The was a smirk in responce to that and then Spike watched as he moved onto the next thing, "this is one of the first i made.. soaked daily in an assortment of holy water and annointed oils it holds the moisture thus making it deadly to any vampire it comes in contact with" That was an uncomfortable though, Angel wouldn't like the fact he brought this threat to the hotel, but it wasn't Percy's fault he was thrown through time and not many people other then the X-men would be able to help the guy, so at least until he is able to explain things about mutants and such the human should stay with them..

"it also has a clip to be mounted on a utility belt, which i will get into later" Spike had an instinctive urge to move away as the weapon was flung about, as long as he didn't come into contact with stuff like that then Percy wouldn't panic about Spike's demonic nature. The guns that the human took out surprised Spike, then again, demon hunters aren't only focused on vampires, usually they are prepared for other creatures, but back in his time not many demonic creatures were known to many humans.

"These are a favorite of mine, sure they are largely inefective against vampire's but they tend to slow them down a lot, also if you use a special load they could take a head clean off, though i havent actually tried out that theory yet" They delt with a cult of vampires that were fatally wounded by silver, not to mention a few werewolves that mostly had that problem, so ought to offer some silver bullets to the guy as added protection. "and now we move onto the full 'demon hunter' kit" Looking still impressed as the man stood up and revealed the assortments of weapons, the vampire couldn't help but be in awe of the fact that he never imaged people in his time had been so well prepared, he wouldn't have acted so cocky if he knew demon hunters could be so smart with their contraptions.

"on the right arm you will see the crossbow, you've already met that one" It made sense he was enjoying showing off his things, after all, where he is from people probably thought him nothing but a dreamer, most considered demon hunters insane and dillusional, "on my left arm .... is a device used for squirting either holy water or a special concoction i made which reacts with air to produce flames" Now that really sounded painful, good thing fire didn't kill him, but it would burn him just like any other human, hot enough of course it would disintergrat him, but he'd recover from sever burns over a few days. "this contains enough for 1 hour continuous squirting.. well its more of a fine mist" The sense of the holy water caused tingles to run across Spike's skin, he had been burned by that blessed water so often and he could remember the different degrees of pain it can cause.

"and now we come to the utility belt" Riley had a utility belt once when he was an Agent, they all packed a bunch of nasty little things, so Spike was interested to see what the differences were, "made out of lightweight canvas it can hold the weight of three men, but here is the best bit" When he pointed to the odd box, Spike stared at it curiously "i call it a grappler, it has a wire inside that allows the user to drop off the side of.. say a building and not fall to their death, the special coil inside slows the user's descent and is very usefull for dropping in uninvited" Spike smirked rather smugly at that.

"Pretty advanced stuff for your time, you might like playing with some o'our toys though." Spike motioned rather dismissivly towards the weapon cases, "These all jus' pretty, sharp and pointy things the boss likes to keep out, the real things are up stairs," Spike then pointed towards the door that lead to the basement, "That's the bosses room, which is why it's locked, second floor is the hotel rooms, third floor is our rooms and our guest rooms plus the library, forth floor is the training hall and the other room is going to be like the brain center o'the place once I get the computers set up." Spike stood up after mentioning computers and looked keenly towards the stairs.

"You know we'ave radio with pictures now? Called Television, T.V. for sort, but there's something ya needa know about some o'the humans in this time, probably best you know about it before Arisa get's back." Spike motioned towards the stairs, "Mind if I take you up to my study to explain things?" Maybe if Spike showed him proof about mutants then he'd be more understanding then just doubting these are humans and thinking they are demonicly related somehow.

Re: Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
Upon finishing speaking he could tell that William was impressed by his array of weapons, in fact he couldn’t wait to finish the other projects he had blueprints for.. just to show him. “pretty advanced stuff for your time, you might like playing with some o’our toy’s though” the mere suggestion of looking over some futuristic items was overwhelmingly pleasing for Percy, it wasn’t often that someone got to travel forward in time.

"These are all jus’ pretty, sharp and pointy things the boss likes to keep out, the real things are up stairs” it was all the inventor could do to stop him running off to investigate the ‘real things’ the way spike had said it so dismissively just added to the intrigue. “That’s the bosses room, which is why it’s locked, second floor is the hotel rooms, third floor is our rooms and our guest rooms plus the library..” they had a library, his mind boggled at the thought of all the books they must have collected in there, there was probably thousands up there..

“Fourth floor is the training hall and the other room is going to be like the brain center o’ the place once I get the computer’s set up” the strange word made him stare at the man.. What was a computer.. He repeated the word over in his head, what did it mean, what was it, a machine, a weapon, a creature. “You know we’ave radio with pictures now? Called television, T.V. for short, but there’s something ya needa know about some o’the humans in this time, probably best you know about it before Arisa get’s back.” Again he was intrigued by William, what on earth could he possibly have to know about the people of this time, apart from the fact that they dressed and acted differently, and why did he need to know before this arisa returned... perhaps she didn't like visitor's

“mind if I take you up to my study to explain things?” he looked towards where William had motioned, he didn’t need to be asked twice, the mere fact that the library was up there was enough to make him want to go upstairs.. maybe they could let him have a room for a workshop, he beamed at him “certainly my good fellow” he waited impatiently for spike to ascend the stairs, barely able to contain his exitement at the thought of all the futuristic things they must have.

Re: Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
“certainly my good fellow” Usually Spike would leap up the stairs and skip five or six steps at a time, since for him it was as easy as a fit person jogging up the stairs one at a fit, but Spike made sure he acted sa human as possible. It was amazing now he thought about it that as might as he tries not to act different to the humans around him, he still tended to do things they would find unusual.. like climbing walls, leaping up flights of stairs.. drinking blood.

"Right then, a computer is a machine," Spike started to explain while leading Percy up the first flight of stairs, "But this machine can be used in all sorts of different ways.. think o'it as a brain," Once on the second floor, Spike then lead him up the next set of stairs, "Th'brain can be programed t'do anythin' you want it to.. some computers are used just to store information on, one computer can hold an entire massive library of information." He wouldn't get into too much detail about the different uses of computers, no point in confusing the time traveler futher.. Guiding him to the guest floor Spike then lead him up to their floor.

"Oh, an' if you like to tinker, then maybe you go further down the hall here, my room is number 8, Nibblet is 13, an' there's a Spirit in room 26, Draven ain't a demon, but he got some issues, what with beinf dead an' all.." Spike didn't want to bring up Draven at all, but the soul would meet Percy pretty soon since the other creature tends to hover about in the hall later at night. "Good guy, on the quiet side, you'll probably meet'im when he goes to lurk in the hall later.. I suggest you choose two rooms beside each other, have one for ya work space an' one for ya sleepin' area, 30 an 31 are linked by a door inside the two rooms if ya prefered'at." Spike hadn't checked many of the rooms so he didn't know which other rooms were linked together to the one beside them, but he seemed to insist Percy to follow him as he made his way up the stairs.

The forth floor didn't have as many doors, the stairs lead to a small room and two doors in front of them lead to the massive hall they set the gym and training room in and the door to their left lead to the large study while the one to the right was empty still.

"That's the Gym, here's the study," Spike hurried over to open the door to the large stuffy, walls were lined with books.. like a library in itself, but Spike had to seperate the collection of demonic and other supernatural information books from the rest of the library so none of the guests would ruin the precious books.. or steal them. The main theme seemed to be a dull red oak for most of the wood, the large study desk was over on the other side of the room. There were tables with advanced computers sitting on them, all processing information or gathering or just sitting turned off.

"These are computers, small, but very impressive, they are connected to a source of information called the internet, which is worldwide, I can type a message on one'o these, an' instantly send it across the world, 'en get a reply back right away." Spike grinned rather smugly since he was so impressed with having figured out how to handle these things so well. He motioned for Percy to sit on the comfortably chair and took a seat himself on the edge of the desk while typing something into a space which had the word 'Search Database' beside it.

"Now, back where you're from, humans only had to worry 'bout black an' white humans, slavery I might add no longer exists in th'human culture and they won their freedom an' all, even woman, have equal rights." That was perhaps another important fact, but Percy could always read up about all that stuff, "But last few generations, humans started to become different, they aren't demons, but they sorta.. evolved. Some have powers, as insane as this sounds, they can do phenomanal things, some just look different," Alright, so he was being blunt, but he didn't know how else to put it, after having typed 'mutants' into the bar a list of files popped up to display some options.

"As ya can imagine, people with extrodinary powers sometimes become egotistical an' think they're better then everyone else." There was a few images of the massive destruction mutants have caused, city buildings toppled down, small towns destroyed, "But there are other mutants, the name given to these evolved humans, who aren't like'at.. they jus' want to be normal.. live normally, but some look so different they can't. Some mutants fight other mutants who abuse their powers, I lived in a school filled with them for a few months, they helped free me from the captivity I had been forced to endure from those vampires I mentioned before.." There was a an image of the school brought up a moment later, pictures automatically shifting from one to another, showing young boys and girls and some older then others and teachers, some loked so normal, but there was a picture of the School doctor, the blue furry Hank McCoy.

"That's another mutant, he's a nice guy actually, brilliant man, you'd probably'ave a blast with him, but these mutants, that look so different, they are the ones that have the hardest time fitting in the human world. Humans haven't taken too kindly to them.." There was a pause as he trailed off, did this guy believe any of what Spike was saying? Spike himself would have thought this was all lunacy had he not lived this life for so long. "..Arisa looks different to most humans, she used to live at the school, but there was a problem, an entity callin' himself the Witch King attacked an'.. things went bad, she was attacked by a vampire called Willow, and she's a Wicca, powerful one at that, long as Nibblet's here, she's safe from Willow, an' anyone else who has been hurtin' her.. she's only just turned 15." Spike added to show just how young she was to bear such a horrific story of her life right now.

Re: Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
ooc: they seem to be geting on well..... lets shake it up a bit :evil

“right then, a computer Is a machine,” Percy smiled at that, he was glad it was a machine, machine’s he understood and he just loved to take them apart to see the cogs and gears working. He listened intently to william’s description of a computer, trying to gather as much information about them from what he said, he was now picturing a giant impressive looking machine with lots of dials and twirly bits “sounds interesting” he piped in once spike had finished, he had now made his mind up to study this ‘computer’

"Oh, an' if you like to tinker, then maybe you go further down the hall here, my room is number 8, Nibblet is 13, an' there's a Spirit in room 26, Draven ain't a demon, but he got some issues, what with being dead an' all.."
“dead!!” he couldn’t help but sound a little shocked.. there were dead people in this hotel "Good guy, on the quiet side, you'll probably meet'im when he goes to lurk in the hall later.. I suggest you choose two rooms beside each other, have one for ya work space an' one for ya sleepin' area, 30 an 31 are linked by a door inside the two rooms if ya prefered'at." He raised an eyebrow at the thought of dead people lurking around near his room, though if William said he was a ‘good guy’ then he was probably okay.

The mention of rooms didn’t go unnoticed either, the prospect of having a whole two rooms to himself was very appealing. "That's the Gym, here's the study," he only glanced into the empty room, instead focusing on the Study, it was bigger than he’d expected, with loads of lovely looking books, there seemed to be a good selection.. he’d have to read them later. As soon as they entered the room his attention was drawn the the strange boxes sitting on the desks, walking away from spike he began to examine them with great interest.

"These are computers, small, but very impressive, they are connected to a source of information called the internet, which is worldwide, I can type a message on one'o these, an' instantly send it across the world, 'en get a reply back right away." His look of interest was now directed straight at William, the computer wasn’t exactly what he’d expected neither.. but it still looked very good, even if it didn’t have twirly things.. he wanted to know more.

Instead of asking William he remembered that they had come to talke about people in this time, so he just sat where he was told, his hands playing with a cross he’d pulled from his pocket.. it was natural for him to fiddle, it helped him think. "Now, back where you're from, humans only had to worry 'bout black an' white humans, slavery I might add no longer exists in th'human culture and they won their freedom an' all, even woman, have equal rights." …good, he thought it was about time someone stood up for the slaves, it didn’t seem fair to him that some people were considered to be inferior.

"But last few generations, humans started to become different, they aren't demons, but they sorta.. evolved. Some have powers, as insane as this sounds, they can do phenomanal things, some just look different,"

listening quietly he seemed to understand what William was saying, why shouldn’t they evolve to do extraordinary things, after all there were theories around that they evolved from monkeys.
"As ya can imagine, people with extrodinary powers sometimes become egotistical an' think they're better then everyone else." He gave a slight laugh, “yes I can imagine..” of course he could imagine it, it was just like his so-called friends, they thought that just because they had lots of money they were better than everyone else.. Including him.

"But there are other mutants, the name given to these evolved humans, who aren't like'at.. they jus' want to be normal.. live normally, but some look so different they can't. Some mutants fight other mutants who abuse their powers, I lived in a school filled with them for a few months, they helped free me from the captivity I had been forced to endure from those vampires I mentioned before.."

smiling he continued to play with the cross “they sound nice" he didn’t really know what to say, not sure that he was actually awake or not, it all sounded a little far fetched, but who was he to say that it wasn’t real.. he didn’t think vampires were real until that night.. it brought him back to Vamipre’s.. these mutant had to be good if they didn’t like vampire’s. as William showed him pictures he could only stare in disbelief at some of the people shown, if he hadn’t bee told he would have assumed some of them were demonic and probably tried to kill them.

"That's another mutant, he's a nice guy actually, brilliant man, you'd probably'ave a blast with him, but these mutants, that look so different, they are the ones that have the hardest time fitting in the human world. Humans haven't taken too kindly to them.." he looked over the picture of the blue man, apart from the fur he looked reasonably human, his eye’s didn’t look evil anyway. Just to hear about them being treated badly he had the utmost respect for them, to be hated so much and still try and fit in.. it was a little comforting that they hadn’t all just tried to take over the world “people fear what they do not understand”

it was a bit of a random statement made to himself, he was off in his own world now and not really listening to William, although he did catch the important bits about Arisa. “so how exactly are you using that? “he leaned over the desk, the cross in his hand brushing over William’s skin as he did so, the burning smell drawing his attention to it “ what on earth..” he leaned back, taking the cross away.. it couldn’t be.. William couldn’t “here.. catch” he threw the cross across the desk, hoping that it wasn’t true.. all his weapons were downstairs

Re: Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
"people fear what they do not understand" Spike looked up at Percy and wondered how he would feel when he realizes that there is more to demon hunting then just killing all strange demons that cross his path, some just want to live their lives peacefully and have families, others want to kill everything in sight, some just settle in the human world and feed off the humans without intentionally being 'evil'.. it was all so hard.

"so how exactly are you using that?" Before William was able to show him how to handle the keyboard, there was a hot, burning sensations biting into his skin "what on earth.." Wincing from the pain, he blinked with a worried expression as he looked from the burn mark over to Percy when the demon hunter spoke "here.. catch" Spike's mind was blank, his inititial thoughts being panicked worries over what would happen to Arisa if she didn't have someone to look after her now that they no longer lived at the school. The instinctive reasponce of his hands to catch the oncoming object took over instead of common sense to avoid it, he gave a shocked yell of pain as he dropped it and pulled his hands towards his chest.

"You don'understand, I have a soul!" Spike's entire posture seemed to become more timid and submissive at the fear of being dealt more pain, he's had enough of hurting, he just wants to forget what pain feels like for once.. and for a little while with Arisa it was almost as if he was a normal guy just trying to take care of his family. "I never lied 'bout anythin', never said I was human, my sire an grand-sire really did torture me, I'm insane an unbalanced an I'm from another reality where th'humans, the mutants from Xavier's, X-men, they helped me, an' Rogue an' this worlds Slayer helped me get a soul, I am a demon hunter. I'm stayin' here an helpin'is world not fall into the same demonic darkness mine did," He kept looking towards the door as if Percy was of greater threat to the vampire then the other way around, Spike wouldn't be able to to more then pin Percy down, and even then, Spike couldn't contain the human forever.. Percy just had to understand that Spike was just different to the other monsters... he was a different kind of monster..

Re: Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
Percy stood in shock as William caught the cross, personally he would have avoided it even if he was a vampire or not, but William hadn’t instead he’d just let it burn him and show him for what he truly was. The inventor stood there like a statue, he really didn’t know what to do at this point, it was probably a good thing that he hadn’t ended up in the time he intended to visit, no matter how much he’d prepared himself he was still very shaky when put on the spot like this.

"You don'understand, I have a soul!"

His look of shock turned to confusion “A soul” he repeated William, in the few years he’d been dealing with vampires and demon’s he’d never heard of that one before… "I never lied 'bout anythin', never said I was human, my sire an grand-sire really did torture me, I'm insane an unbalanced an I'm from another reality where th'humans, the mutants from Xavier's, X-men, they helped me, an' Rogue an' this worlds Slayer helped me get a soul, I am a demon hunter. I'm stayin' here an helpin'is world not fall into the same demonic darkness mine did," the vampire’s words seemed a little rushed and desperate, it made Percy think.. Could he be telling the truth?

Now he didn’t know what to think, weather to be scared of William not, after all he seemed pretty scared himself. The inventor mulled it over for a while, if William had wanted to kill him he’d had plenty of opportunity already, and he did help him.. And there were the glasses. He looked over towards the vampire, his posture was not of a scary evil vampire sort, perhaps he was telling the truth, after all Percy had never heard of a vampire a few years ago so it was feasible that souled vampires could exist without him knowing about it until now.

“Ok.. I believe you..” it was all he could say at the moment, his good nature allowing him to believe William to be truthful, after all he had helped him, and he was friends with a slayer. “What’s it like?..” his inquisitive intellectual mind was getting the better of him now, he carefully sat back on his chair, it was as if the incident hadn’t occurred at all as he looked intently over at the vampire.. This was a golden opportunity for him, he’d never had the chance of interviewing an actual vampire before, let alone one with a soul.

Re: Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
"Ok.. I believe you.." There was a confused examination of Spike’s hazel blue eyes over Percy’s form, the vampire had done little to prove anything to him other then perhaps the fact he was insane.. "What’s it like?.." The question was so vague that Spike had no idea what exactly Percy was asking, a simple hint that Spike was having troubles with the question was when he shook his head slightly and rubbed his hand through the faintly gelled hair that was curling from the neglect of not washing it out earlier that morning.

"Lonely." The confused look on the vampires face was yet another hint towards suggesting he hadn’t understood the question, the uncertain answer of truth was more of a question as if he wanted to just see that it was acceptable first in the humans mind. "Vampire?" Spike seemed a little baffled but appeared a little more withdrawn as he thought of that, "Vampire’s aren’t meant to’ave souls, only two o’us do far as I know..." Most of the time his hands had been pulled up to hover timidly about his mouth, but he pulled them away to stare at the freshly burned skin on his palms, "Had it for eight... nine months, still burns.." He looked so unbareably sleepy for a moment, as if exhaustion suddenly washed over him before he blinked it away and struggled to fight off the defences of hiding away inside his fragmented mind whenever he was stressed or wasn’t sure how to deal with something that occured.

"It’s rather private really.." He seemed to glance about uncomfortably, he didn’t want to talk about his soul, or how he got it, or why, or what it was doing to him, "..Are you hungry? I can call fo’some food fo’ya.." Spike’s demenour still seemed withdrawn and timid, staring at the ground and avoiding looking at Percy, it wasn’t fair, he had tried to be so human and nice and polite and it still hadn’t changed the fact they hate him for what he was... he didn’t blame them though.

Re: Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
The question about being a vampire seemed to be troubling William, though Percy couldn’t see why... it seemed such a simple one to answer, though he had never experienced it so would not know whether or not it was easy to describe "Lonely." it wasn’t really the reply he was after, he would have rather the vampire described some unknown weaknesses, though feelings are important as well.

"Vampire’s aren’t meant to’ave souls, only two o’us do far as I know..." there were two with souls… now he was becoming interesting, who was this other souled vampire, the inventor was determined to find out more, and even though he hated them for killing his uncle he knew that you couldn’t blame them all… especially if they had a soul, it meant they were something entirely different. "It’s rather private really.."

he decided to let the subject of soul’s drop... At least for now, after all he would probably gain much more information when they’d got to know each other a little better. "..Are you hungry? I can call fo’some food fo’ya..” he lifted his gaze towards william’s face, the man seemed to be a little scared of him still… he paused, he still thought of him as a man, even though he now knew otherwise. “if it’s not too much trouble.. its been a while since I last ate” he had to stop himself from smiling.. it had been a few hundred years ago when he’d had breakfast “time flies” he sighed as he thought of what he was probably missing back home.

He was supposed to be going to a party tonight, well, more a gathering of ‘friends’ or at least people who invited him merely to laugh at his new inventions… and his dreams. Parties for him all went much the same, he would turn up and everyone would be drinking wine and standing round talking, then someone would eventually acknowledge him and offer him a drink.. then when he asked for something non alcoholic they would joke about it. After about an hour of mindless babble about absolutely nothing someone would ask about his work and foolishly he would think that this time they were actually interested and tell them… then they would all take turns mocking his ideas and making him feel about six inches high. Finally he would get so upset about it that he would politely make his excuses and leave, forcing himself to keep from breaking down in front of them. A small frown developed on his face, that part he did not miss

Re: Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
“if it’s not too much trouble.. its been a while since I last ate” There was a slight nod from Spike at the comment, taking a step towards the desk before nervously hesitating as the man spoke again. “time flies” Especially when you get tortured and spend most of your unnatural life unconsious, Spike looked about uneasily before moving towards the phone beside the computer slowly, not even daring to make any sudden movements.

It was amazing just how much these two had in common, though with Percy it was his inventions, with William it was his poems, and the sad thing was... his poems were nice, people just didn't always understand the words he used.

" 'Ello, one family meal please, yeah.. th'lot. Renaissance Hotel ..I'll pay in cash thank you. Ten minutes? Much oblidged." Spike dropped the phone down and hit the button which had 'Speaker' written clearly beneath it. "Draven," The name echoed through the speakers in the hotel, "Get down t'the front hall an' mind th'desk," Spike pushed the button again and the hotel speakers all went silent, his fingers moving to rubbing the front of his temple. After a thought he picked up the phone again and called someone else, looking highly distracted and impatient, "Yeah? 'ello.. three drinks, any kind, don'care.. beer as well on top o'at, an two o'ya large pizza's, the Renaissance Hote-yeah.. oh? Yeah.. mhmm.. our pleasure.. er.. thank you.." He hanged up the phone, trying to remember when they had any dealings with the nearby pizza shop, Spike was all paranoid now that Percy wouldn't like the food he was getting him. Well.. the pizza shop seems to have the hotel on the 'free service' listing for now, so Spike didn't have to pay.. he can always get something else later if the guy didn't like anything.

"Shops mostly closed at 'is hour." Spike looked around rather awkwardly before staring down at the floor submissivly once again. "Ya prolly don'wonna leave ya things down stairs.." The thought of him getting armed with hunting tools made Spike nervous now, but he was hardly going to insist the guy part with his hard word.. even Spike of this world had managed to keep the old poems he had written, Angelus had burned almost all the things Spike owned in Lost Angels.. save for a few precious items that he kept just to torment Spike with the threat of destroying them if he did anything 'bad'.

Re: Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
he watched William intently as he spoke on the phone, not even trying to understand what he was saying to the person on the end of it the words just passed through him, this time was full of strange things. "Shops mostly closed at 'is hour." it annoyed him the way the vampire kept staring at the floor like percy was going to beat him any second.

"Ya prolly don'wonna leave ya things down stairs.." the inventor raised one evebrow, why would such simple things like his weapons cause any problems, after all the cabinets around the room were filled with all sorts of sharp and dangerous objects. "no, i suppose not" ..why was William so nervous of him all of a sudden, just because he knew he was a vampire.

"look.. Willaim" his voice was slow as he tried to put across a calming feeling "i liked you when i met you and you havent changed since then, and i still like you... me knowing what you are shouldnt change anything, and as far as i am concerned it has not" he took a moment to study the man in front of him, he looked like, he'd been through a lot "i feel i can trust that you are what you say you are, so why does it seem like you cannot trust that i don't want to hurt you, its not as if you are still evil"

At that he turned and walked towards the door, william seemed a nice guy, someone he could relate to in some respects, but he really needed to lighten up a little, he turned at the door back to the vampire "you coming, perhaps after supper you can introduce me to some of the people who live here.." he was still intrigued over the fact that draven was dead, and about the strange half naked girl "..maybe i could demonstrate my fighting skills"

Re: Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
"no, i suppose not" There was a tone of voice that suggested Percy had something on his mind, Spike tried hard not to think what the human might be thinking, he didn't want to have the human leave and go out into the streets in a time he didn't understand, he'd be in serious danger if he wasn't protected by someone.

"look.. Willaim" Now the tone had changed, causing Spike to look over towards Percy, though he still looked a little down and submissive.. or was he just sad and withdrawn? It was hard to tell when it came to Spike, he was still getting used to the stronger emotions of a human soul and things seemed so much more potent and overwhelming them he ever remembered. "i liked you when i met you and you havent changed since then, and i still like you... me knowing what you are shouldnt change anything, and as far as i am concerned it has not" That's not what it seemed like when he first realized what Spike was, the vampired eased a little, realizing that wasn't very fair, he just discovered Spike was a vampire so shouldn't he be allowed to be startled? Even Rogue hadn't wanted to bother with Spike when she first met him.. there was a bitter thought as he thought over how she doesn't want to bother with him now either..

"i feel i can trust that you are what you say you are, so why does it seem like you cannot trust that i don't want to hurt you, its not as if you are still evil" At the moment, what if he lost his soul somehow? The paranoid thought was grudgingly pushed aside, realizing how pathetic an idea that was, only thought up to cause damage and not with any substance to be a real threat he ought to be considering at this point in time, if ever.

"you coming, perhaps after supper you can introduce me to some of the people who live here.." Spike pictured the meeting in his mind, introducing this man who killed a whole 'two' vampires to the rest of the mob, who of which ARE vampires, souled ones however. Arisa and Jennifer were the only humans, and both were mutants, Jennifer being a Slayer on top of all that,"..maybe i could demonstrate my fighting skills" ..Well.. that ought to be interesting, Spike bit his lower lip for a moment before moving after Percy and heading back down to the entrance hall.

As had been requested, Draven was sitting down at the reception desk waiting patiently for any calls, there was a bird on the desk and Draven was stroking the black crow rather affectionately on the chest as the other two made their way down the stairs. All attention would have been drawn towards the entrance doors as Angel and the Rogue slayer entered the hotel while yelling at each other.

"Knock it off you two." By the tone of voice Spike had when he told them off it was obvious that the two arrivals must get into a lot of fights, Angel through the pretty Slayer a glare as she threw one at him and then both proceeded to walk in different directions, Jennifer towards the stairs and Angel towards the door which lead to his basement room.

"Wait, this is Percy, he's goin' t'be stayin' with us for a while." Spike called out quickly before they both disappeared off for the next few hours sulking in their rooms, Angel yelled out 'great' while he slammed his door and Jennifer didn't feel she needed to respond as she stomped up the stairs loudly just because she knew it would echo worse underground in Angel's 'lair'.

"..Right." Spike rilled his eyes slightly, "Don't mind'em, I'd explain it, but it's rather confusin' an' long a story, Draven, you seen Nibblet?" Although Spike started to speak with Percy, he switched subjects and spoke with Draven, who looked over towards the two and shook his head. "Alright... Slayer, we ordered food!" Spike looked up to the top of the stairs but there was just a distant slamming of another door in reply. "Such a warm, luvin' family we got'ere." The sarcasme wasn't understood by Draven who merely returned to stroking his bird, Spike turned his attention over towards the door and moved quickly towards her, pulling it open just as a young man was about to knock. There was a nervous smile as he handed the pizza over, Spike lingered at the door a moment longer half hoping the chinese would arrive as well but that probably took a little longer to prepare and was a little further away.

"Draven mate, we'll be in the seatin' area, when the other guy comes, bring the food in there will ya?" With a slight nod of his head Spike then walked off towards the other hall, throwing a glance towards Percy to hint that the human ought to follow. "Not something you probably used to, but a big favorite amongst people nowdays." Spike informed Percy as he placed the pizza's down onto the dinning hall table and motioned for the man to take a seat.

Re: Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
perct observed the man at the desk with great interest, wondering why he seemed so fond of the bird he was stroking but he was cut off by the doors being flung open, instinctively he moved to hide behind something.. spike being the nearest thing that was large enough meant he was soon standing behind the vampire rather than next to him, looking over past him to the argueing couple

"Knock it off you two." William's voice startled him "Wait, this is Percy, he's goin' t'be stayin' with us for a while." they seemed to take little notice of each other.. percy had seen this sort of arguement before "brother and sister?" he guessed out loud, watching where the girl had dissapeared after storming past them, hardly believing what she was wearing.. or not wearing as it seemed, this world was strange.

looking back towarsd the desk he watched the man with the bird.. Draven, wasn't he the dead one? he didnt look dead. after a moment he realised that he was staring quite obviously at him and made a point of looking at something else, turning his attention towards the door, spike seemed to be dealing with someone.

as the vampire turned round he could see he was holding some boxes, a strange cooked smell emminating from them "Draven mate, we'll be in the seatin' area, when the other guy comes, bring the food in there will ya?" the young inventor assumed that the boy must have been their butler service, strange that he didnt live on site though.

the other hall seemed somewhat larger to percy, though it could just be an illusion, "Not something you probably used to, but a big favorite amongst people nowdays." he sat as directed, wondering what on earth could be in the boxes, it didn't matter though, he was very hungry now. settling himself on the chair , put his hands together and bowed his head to them "Dear father, for what we are about to recieve, may the lord find us truly thankfull" he sat up straight and put his hands down, then realised that he wasnt exactly in the presence of the most religious person in the world.. "i'm sorry.." he paused, his voice apologetic "i forgot for a second"

Re: Another Masqurade in the Renaissance Hotel
Although Spike wasn't going to eat any of the pizza, he sat himself down as well; he'd nibble at the Chinese food, most for something to do since he didn't need to eat. He was feeling slightly peckish but the animal blood was more beyond repulsive for him and he wasn't keen on asking Arisa to offer him more of her blood.

"Dear father, for what we are about to receive, may the lord find us truly thankful" The words that came from Percy caused spike to raise an eyebrow with a curious look thrown towards him.. That had to be the first time anyone has made a pray like that in this place.. "i'm sorry.." Spike leaned forward and folded his arms, resting them on the table as he watched Percy "i forgot for a second" Forgot what? Just because he was undead didn’t mean people had to change their behaviour, Spike sulked as he leaned back in his seat, pausing for a moment before letting the comment pass and pushing the box over towards Percy.

"Pizza, enjoy." There was a knocking at the door a moment later and Spike could hear Draven speaking, followed by the thumping of Jennifer's feet as she run down the stairs. She was preparing for a training session so she had a tight gym outfit on, short shorts and a training bra, fingerless gloves on her hands, her long hair left loose. Draven walked into the room with the bag of Chinese and dropped it on the table, Spike glanced over and reached for it, unpacking the plastic containers.

It wasn't too long before the highly exposed form of Jennifer appeared beside Spike to see what was there to eat, her slender stomach and finely toned yet graceful from easily seen with little room left for the imagination. At first when Spike glanced at her he paid her little attention, offering her one of the containers with fried rice and picking up on with honey chicken from the pile of assorted treats. A sudden remembrance that woman didn't stroll about dressed in such a way during Percy's time struck him and he threw Jenn a rather stunned look.

"Bloody Christ Jenn," He exclaimed with a slight hint of annoyance within the surprised tone, the beautiful young warrior merely offered Spike a blank look, uncertain what his problem was, "Woman didn't strut about things like that where Percy's from, bow about a lil'sensitivity towards his bleedin' culture for the time being till he settles in." Jenn rolled her eyes as she scooped some rice into a bowl and stabbed a spoon into it before addressing Spike.

"I'm heading upstairs to train, what do you want me to do, go to an Halloween store and ask if they have any frilly costumes to lend me?" The sarcasm was followed by a mouthful of rice while she turned to walk away, swallowing and then adding as she left them. "Besides, I doubt Slayer's where he's from went out dressed as dolls." Spike knew they didn't dress like most woman, for survival sake they had to wear pants, but still.. she could at least try to not be so revealing around the guy while he tries to settle in.

"What is a doll?" Draven's curious questions pulled Spike's attention away from Jennifer as she moved off up the stairs and instead it focused on the other soulled undead.

"Ya know, for an avengin' angel they really left ya with a lotta blanks when they returned you." The handsome fighter tilted his head slightly before letting his dark eyes shift between the other two men, both were sitting down.. was he supposed to be as well? Instead of asking he took a seat across from Percy, watching the human curiously as he ate, it was amazing, where did all that stuff go that he put into his mouth.

"Oh, hey, one day we ought to take you to a doctor I know, humans have developed impressively far with medicine, think we ought to be on the safe side and get you immunized against some o'those diseases." Spike added, he'd been doing a lot of reading for how to take care of humans - mostly children - so that he had a faint idea on how to be of best help to Arisa, not that he'd admit he ever read any of that sorta stuff. One of the students at the school that was a friend of Arlen, Arisa's beau... well.. that was something she was finding hard to admit, but Spike knew differently, there was no hiding her feelings for the mer-Prince from Spike. But one of his friends was a knight from the past, Spike had been in the medical bay when they went on about having to treat him for things most people are treated for at a young age.

"Don't want you gettin' sick on us." The tone of his previous comment made it sound like a question - although the sentence was put in a way that sounded as if he wasn't asking a question, instead informing the guest of what needed to be done. If Percy didn't want to Spike wouldn't push, the vampire jabbed one of the strips of chicken with his fork and slipped it into his mouth, chewing quietly as his fork dropped down to poke at the other bits of meat. In truth he couldn't taste anything really, it had an unusual tastelessness, and sometimes the food would even end up leaving an awful after tastelessness, Spike addressed those foods as ones he disliked even though he could never taste any of it in the same way a human did. But if he ate too much it made him sick, especially if he hadn't had blood and he stuffed himself with normal food, it never stayed down, he'd get go sick he'd always end up throwing up and he'd feel horrible till he had his fill of blood.
