Re: - Center of Inquisition -
Lisa looked at Sean incredulously ... she didn't have a stake or any powers which involved fire ... how was she to fight them, she'd never punched someone in her life and she didn't think slapping a demon would do much apart from probably enrage him even more and maybe get herself killed. She hung back from the others feeling useless, this was why she hadn't been put on a team wasn't it ... because she had powers which weren't of any use.

People were fighting all around her, she stood in confusion ... what was she supposed to do ... it was all very well for Sean with his powers to say fight but he didn't have to go hand to hand with his opponents.

She suddenly felt strong hands grab her from behind, sliding around her neck, she let out a strangled squeak of fight, her hands flying to her neck as she scrabbled at the hands which were cutting off her air supply, her nails digging into his hands in a futile effort to shift his arms.

Re: - Center of Inquisition -
Sean fired another blast from his eyes, smashing into another Vampire, it's demonic body being thrown aside and fell into the path of a blast of fire from one of the other mutants, it's body being dusted completely.

He suddenly heard the odd squeals of two of his companions and turned to see both Dawn and Lisa being overpowered by the Vampire attackers, running to Dawn's help the flaming body of Angela jumped into action, moving swiftly to destroy the Vampire that threatened to bare down on Dawn and begin draining the very blood from her body. He watched in awe for a split second as Angela used her position within the team to do as team members should do and help each other out. But time was running out for Lisa as her assailent squeezed her throat, slowly cutting off the air supply.

Sean ran quickly towards Lisa, her face paling slowly as the Vampire fought to strangle the life from the young woman. He rounded on the entwined fighters and as soon as Sean could see clearly he raised his hand to the side of his visor and allowed a rushing blast of red energy from his eyes, it sprayed quickly, directly towards the Vampire. The demon turned just in time to see the energy pound into his side, his body being thrown into the throng that was happening behind them.

Sean quickly grabbed Lisa before she fell to the floor, holding her up he turned towards Angela;

“Angy, bring Dawn here, cover us will you!” Sean shouted to his team member friend.

As Dawn came to them and Angela ran out to cover them from any attacking demons Sean quickly talked to them;

“Listen, I’m sorry, I didn’t think about this, I can see this is gonna be harder for you to. Cover each other, work together, that way you can take them down. Sorry again, first time as leader an’all. You can do it, I have faith in both of you.” Sean spoke quickly and encouragingly, slowly letting Lisa take her own weight as she regained from her attack. Giving a last lingering look and slight smile at Dawn, Sean ran back out to begin using his blasts to slow the attackers run as the others took time to take them down. Sean hoped his mini-talk would give his other two team members the confidence he knew they had….

Re: - Center of Inquisition -
"Burn your aim, my fiery friend"
Aurora whispered as she hovered in midair holding one hand over the other as if protecting something fragile. A moment later, she opened them releasing a flame half a man's size which soon gained the shape of a phoenix.
Garnet knew it was rather odd to talk to things that only had a shape because she wanted it this way, however, it was a habit the fiery mutant had developed quite some time ago when there were no real friends she could talk to. At this time, the ebony haired girl would sit in her room creating miniature animals - horses, sparrows, cats - to play with, to give her company and drive away the loniless.
Much later, she had realized due to this "training", it was much easier to control her flames if they had a certain form.

The flame bird speeded downwards burning every demon it touched while Circe above them had full control over its flight watching out carefully not to harm any of her team mates.
Suddenly, she heard a high pitched scream which she thought to recognize. With a quick gesture, the mutant commanded the phoenix to rise and turned to the voice's source. A girl in a vampire's grip. What was her name again?

"Lisa!"
Aurora hissed and with another gesture, the bird was commanded to change its direction.
However, just as it was only a few metres away from Lisa and the one threatening her life, an energy blast which Garnet traced back to Sean seperated the two from each other, yet this was no reason for the fiery mutant to stop her attack. Changing the flame's flight once more, it speeded directly at the vampire.
Before the demon could react or even notice he was in danger, it was too late. The fiery figure wrapped around the undead but combusting creature and with a painful scream, it was gone.

Cutting the connection which made the phoenix disappear in an instant, Circe speeded towards Lisa and the those around her.

"Are you hurt?"
she asked in a concerned tone not noticing what her heat was doing to Frostbite. After all, how was she supposed to know?

A frown crossed her face as she noticed the way Sean was speaking and acting. This and some words she had caught were enough to finish the puzzle.

"You are our leader then?"

Her voice showed none of her feelings and even she herself was uncertain of what to think about the unexpected development.

A sudden roar and lightning which followed immediately after accompanied by deafening thunder made Circe spin around only to see another vampire who had obviously planned on jumping at them vanish in midair.

"I recommend you to concentrate on the fight instead of having a little chat. This is no game, people!"

Storm's voice sounded sternly before the windrider turned to continue her destructive doings.

Sean gave the new comer and odd look just before another of their demon adversaries appeared on the seen. The Vampire was quickly disposed of; Sean swiveled to look striaght into the deformed face of the attacker, his arm swept up quickly and an invisable wave of pyschokinetic energy swept through Sean's body and erupted out his finger tips. As the energy hit the Vampire, his face went from anger to shock as his body was thrown away towards Angela who fought off the Vampires behind them. The undead male landed straight in the path of one of Angela's flaming attacks, his body instantly turning into a pile of ash.

Sean turned back to Garnet, her feminine features looking at him; no one had informed him of Circe being on X-Force;

"I'm sorry, but i think your wrong, I'm leading X-Force here. But like Storm said, theres no time to talk, if you wana help us here, help, but I can't take responsibility for you, I was told you were on the Gold Strike Force." Sean gave Garnet a half smile before turning back to Dawn and Lisa. "Let's go X-Force! We can do it." He grinned widely, his toothy smile making the other to react a little before he readied himslef to fight the demonic attackers....

The battle outside seemed to be in the X-Teams favor, everybody was holding there own against the vampires but the fact that they kept coming made Bethany think how the team inside was fairing.

*Dark Angel*"Common guys get them out of there."
She said to herself thinking about the team inside, she kept hoping but that there wasnt any problems but there was that small bit of doubt something would go wrong

Bethany took down another vampire, putting as much pressure on the neck she snapped it without to much problem. As she stood back up the vampire burning to ashes she caught out of the corner of her eye another one coming straight for her.

*Dark Angel*"Uh Uh......I dont think so dear."
She turned backaround planting a kick into the undead demons chest.

Sean: "I'm sorry, but i think your wrong, I'm leading X-Force here."

"Oh...
nonchalently, she roasted another vampire without even looking at it and smiled lightly.

"My apologies, obviously this was a misunderstanding. However, since those demons seem to concentrate their attacks on this area anyway, I am glad to help"

With that, the fiery beauty gracefully rose in the air again, hovering a few metres over the X-Force from where she occassionally shot balls of fire dusting their enemies - or at least hurting them badly.

Satisfied with the X-Men's work, Storm glanced at the others. Their opponents' number had dramatically decreased and it was clear that it wouldn't take much more time until the there was none of them left.

*Goddess, let Rogue and her team have as much success with their mission as we have!*
the windrider prayed silently her thoughts wandering to those fighting in the Center.

Dizzily she felt Sean catch her before she hit the ground, gasping for air, her head spinning crazily. After a moment of Sean balancing her on her feet she managed to regain her balance though she looked peaky. She was glad when Dawn and Angela came over.

'Cover each other, work together, that way you can take them down.' Lisa nodded though it was painful to do so, she lifted a hand to her neck, rubbing her skin gingerly.

'Thanks Sean, cheers Dawn.' Her voice sounded painful and forced but then was hardly surprising since she'd nearly been strangled.

'Are you hurt?' Lisa looked towards the fire mutant still rubbing her neck.

'I'm OK, thanks.' She said breathlessly, turning to talk to Dawn while Aurora interrogated Sean.

'I don't think I'm going to be much help Dawn but I'll try, just tell me what you want me to do.' She tired to smile but it looked strained and painful, it was getting easier to breath though. She made a mental note not tell her mother about this in their next phone conversation, it was entirely possible she would come down here and drag her daughter home again if she found out and Lisa didn't want to leave the friends she had made at Xavier’s.

Sean felt the negative thoughts coming from the two he had just left to work co-operatively. This wasn't what he wanted, he couldn't let his team think like this, it will get them hurt....or worse. As Garnet hovered overtop burning a number of attacking demons that headed for them Sean pivoted and focused his mind on Lisa and Dawn;

Hey, you two, no negitive thoughts! Sean grinned at them as he 'spoke', I have every faith in you, just do ya best, we're all here to support each other after all.

Sean turned back to the chancing enemies, unleashing another burst of optical energy, blasting more vamps back to the floor where the other promptly picked them off. He continued to grin even though he had stopped lookin at the two girls, he seemed to have slipped into the role of leader easier than he had expected. He just hoped Dawn didn't think he was being to pushy......

Re: - Center of Inquisition -
Taking in a deep breath, Dawn was ready to fight once again, glancing back at Lisa and Sean for only a moment, she wasn't afraid of these creatures.. she was just unsure how to kill them without any weapons. She wished she had come more prepared, that'd teach her for next time..

She watched as Sean and the others focused on their own problems, when she turned back to look ahead, she realized she was staring directly at someone's chest. She looked up, the familiar face of Angel peering down at her.. the cruel smile that was shone telling her it wasn't Angel, but Angelus. She took a step back, walking directly into Lisa, Angelus' head tilted to the side with a smerk as he studied her.

"So you're little Dawnie.." He mused taking another step forward, his dark clothes making him hard to see in the night, the outline of his body shown clearly from the flames dancing all around them from the other mutants.

"I read about you, is it true? You watched as I took hold of your sisters fragile little neck.." His hand snapped out, gripping her slender neck tightly, leaning his face closer to hers.

"..Do you remember how it sounded? I wish I could have seen it, her body just... falling limp ...I am curious about one thing though.. Apparently everyone was killed, but, for the death of me, I can't imagine how you got away." The tips of Dawn's toes barely manages to find the ground, her hands griping his arm tightly, her lips whispering something as he held her. She kicked her legs weakly, feeling the warmth of her tears swelling in her eyes as she continued moving her lips, but the sight only caused the vampire to scoff at the thought she was a potential Slayer. But his amusement instantly disappeared as he yelled out painfully, one of Dawn's tears falling on his hand. One of Dawn's hands let go of his arm and wiped across her teary cheek, then reached out and pressed her hand against his face. As he vamped out, he dropped her and stepped away, covering his face that she had burned.

"I turned my weakness into a weapon." She whispered holding her throat, of course, she wasn't alone when she fled from Angelus, Spike had shown up and he dealt with Angelus long enough for her to escape. After that, Willow and her organised to return his soul, but Dawn had no intentions of finding the other witch, this time Angelus will be destroyed..

Falling to her knees as she gasped for breath, Angelus roared out angrily like an animal, but before he could grab the girl again, something slammed against him, throwing him down to the ground. Dawn looked up, seeing Jennifer sitting a top Angelus, the Slayer punching him repeatedly in the face, with a growl the vampire threw her off him. Both struggling to their feet in an instant, he lunged at her, both grabbing at each others arms as he tried to throw her off balance.

"What are you going to do? All these mutants together can't destroy me, they've already tried once before, failed miserably I might add." He grinned, his face returning to normal so he appeared human, appeared like the Angel who she had loved. But that didn't work any more, not now, not when she knew another Angel was waiting wounded for her to finish this Angelus off.

"They didn't have two Slayers and three Ancient vampires when they fought you last." She replied stubbornly, flipping him over onto his side, his legs quickly flinging about and knocking Jennifer off her feet. There was a laugh from Angelus as he he grabbed the Slayers foot, using his supernaturaly enhanced strength to swing her about and send her flying back, hitting the ground and rolling for a few meters before coming to a stop.

"I'm quivering in fear." He responded sarcastically to her statement as he moved towards her, Drusilla momentarily catching his attention as she appeared in the distance, just enough for Jennifer to leap to her feet and continue her hand to hand combat against him.

Drusilla moved slowly towards Spike, the faint smile on her lips telling the souled vampire that she was up to no good, with a wave of her hand, a blast of unseen force flew towards this worlds Spike, slamming against him and throwing him backwards to the ground. She looked at her wounded shoulder where the other worlds Spike had bitten her, then back towards this worlds Spike and moved towards him as he struggled to his feet.

Dawn's spell wore off shortly, her tears losing their blessed nature and returning to normal, the back of her hand quickly wiping away the moisture from her cheeks as she recovered from both the emotional and physical attack she had suffered. Sometimes being the sister of a Slayer was just far too painful, but she'd never give up that, not if she was offered another chance at life.. she'd never give up what she's been given. Her fingers of her right hand gently touched the tenderly bruised skin around her neck, looks like her and Lisa will be wearing scarfs as a 'fashion statement' for the next few days or so..

Re: - Center of Inquisition -
*This worlds Spike had been busy taking on the army of vampires, which seemed to be like an endless source, but what else would you expect from Angelus? Then after clearing the vampires around him he felt the awful presence of someone he hated... Angelus himself. In truth Spike thought he would have shown up much earlier than he had.

He tried to make his way towards Angelus, but with the many battles between vampire and mutant it was hard. He saw the first of the lot who went down to get those who were being held captive, being led by the other worlds Slayer.

Soon after Spike felt another vampire’s presence, one he knew just as well as Angelus's, if not better, Drusilla. She may not have been this worlds one who he had used to love, but she was just the same... Not like the other worlds Spike who had yet to gain a soul in his realm. Spike could tell she wasn't going to be nice with the smile dressed upon her face. It's not like he had expected her to be. As her hand rose, his eyes widened knowing what was about to come to him. If he wanted he could have run, but that wouldn't have done any good, Dru's power still would have gotten to him, just like it did now. The blast making him fly backwards a little.

As he began to struggle to his feet after spending a little time on the ground to recover he noticed the wound on her shoulder.*

Spike: "Nice to see you've been taking care of yourself since you've come here, Dru..."

*He smirked faintly, as he finally got up on his feet, although they were yet to fully support him. He wasn't scared of what she might pull on him next. Dru had always been full of surprises, why would now be any different?*

Re: - Center of Inquisition -
The soulless vampire reached the top at the same time as the slayer, causing him to peer down at Angel with a smirk, even though Spike couldn't see his face, Spike knew how Angel would react to it. His hands trembled slightly from the pain, but his face didn't show it, he knew he was stronger then this worlds Angel, that meant if Angelus ever came about from him, then Spike could kill him far easier then the Angelus he knew. Angel trailed behind only for a moment, running up the rest of the stairs with a rather pained expression, Spike walked just a step behind the Slayer. By the time they reached the exit, Angel had made it to the other side of Tasha, but Angel moved in front of them, blocking Spike's path so quickly the blind vampire almost walked into him.

"You took a wrong turnin' somewhere mate.." Spike replied sarcastically, but Angel put on a stern face even though Spike couldn't see it.

"You're not in any shape to go out there, you should just stay back and leave it to the others." Angel's voice made it sound like there was no other choice, Spike pressed his lips together for a moment. With a nod, Spike looked down, but then his hand lashed out, slaming across Angel's cheek and knocking him back, as Spike shook his stinging hand, Angel placed a hand over his mouth.

"Are you insane?" Angel snapped, Spike smirked with a slight shrug as he responded, holding up his hand and placing his index finger a hovering closely near his thumb as he spoke.

"Like I said before, right now, jus' a lil'bit, it's gonna get worse if you don't leave me alone." Spike moved past the souled vampire who clenched his fists and looked back at Tasha as if expecting her to shoot him in the back. Spike seemed to already have set his target, moving slowly, his walk still effected with the limp, his awkward posture seen when avoiding the attacks of others.

"I don't think he likes me." Angel whispered to the Slayer sarcastcally as his eyes peered over towards Angelus, part of him just wanted to rush out there and fight.. but.. if he did that, what was stopping them from mistaking him for Angelus?

Drusilla stepped towards this worlds Spike, he seemed to be ready for her next attack, her arm rose, but another hand gently moved down her arm from behind her. William Spike's bruised and battered arm gently lowering his sires hand away from this worlds Spike. The soulless creature's demonic face visible as he stood behind Drusilla, his yellow eyes staring blindly ahead of him, sensing Spike, yet not seeing him. Closing his eyes, Spike's lips lower to her neck, tenderly resting against her cold skin as his grip on her hands tighten. Spike's fangs had biten into her, her hands struggling to free themselves, blasts of energy erupting from the tips of her fingers as her hands held out to the side. There was another blast, her mother powerful one which radiated from her entire body, both Spike's flew backwards from her.

Angel had made his way quickly towards Jennifer and Angelus, pausing as he saw Dawn on the ground, making his way towrds her, he knelled down and tried to help her up, but the young Summer's struggled angrily from his grip.

"It's me, it's Angel." He tried to assure her, but Dawn already knew who he was, just because he got his soul back doesn't mean she's just going to buddy up with him again. There was a yell, Jennifer's body flung from Angelus's position, rolling across the cold grass, the other worldly Slayer glancing up only to see Angelus running off. Struggling to her feet, Jennifer took off after him, he was heading directly towards Drusilla and both Spike's.

Placing her hand over her neck, Dru turned around, glaring at her former lover almost accusingly, attemptng to sit up, William's body simply screamed out, his breathing heavy though unneeded. He looked up as Angelus suddenly hovered over him, but his body was thrown aside as Jennifer tackled him yet again, the fast movement's easily confusing the blind and partially deaf vampire.

Dru however didn't linger around, moving off to find weaker opponents, the wounded female vampire moving slowly towards a grou pf younger mutants, one of which she had seen down in the chambers of the Center. Raising her hand, Dru's fingers rippled with unseen power that soon burst towards the green mutant, a yell from a team member the only thing warning Aran of the on coming attack.

(ooc-Tempest, you may have Aran finish off Dru whenever, we came up with a different ending)

Again there was the looming figure over Spike, the blind vampire allowing his eyes to uselessly look up as Angelus reached down and grabbed him by the neck. Being a traitor was one thing, trying to drink from his childe was another, and Spike must be punished for his betrayel. There was a yell of pain as William Spike was slammed back down into the ground, his grandsires knee pressing down hard on his stomach. Holding up the stake that Jennifer had within her coat, Angelus having taken it after knocking her out cold a few meters away from where he was. Spike's hands reached up and grabbed at Angelus' wrists as he brought down the stake, in truth, it was an entirely lucky grab, but Spike wouldn't be one to admit that..

"I'll be here for you, for as long as you need me." He promised Rogue, part of him just wanted to let his arms fall away, let them lay by his side and allow the stake to enter his flesh, but he promised Rogue... He promise her he'd be there for her, and he wasn't going to leave her now until she was done needing him. The tip of the stake pressed against his bare bruised and scared chest, losing his struggle against the stronger vampire, as if calling for help, William let himself roar out as loudly as his lungs would allow him to, his animalistic call sweeping over the area.

*Spike watched silently as his soulless version dug into Drusilla's neck, almost as if he was at the movies, minus the popcorn and comfy seats. He smirked, but this one seemed to be almost like a smile. He was smiling at what William Spike was doing to Dru, he didn't even care that he was blasted backwards again. He could almost sense that this world would be rid of her soon.

He was still on the ground as Angelus gripped the neck of the other world's Spike, making him rub his neck as if he was feeling the pain, although he wasn't. He finally sat up again in time to see Angelus throw the other Spike onto the ground. Then he looked towards Angelus as he pulled out the stake, the one weapon all vampires hated, yet he'd been using one before to kill those creatures he once was, until he'd gotten his soul. It only made him half of what they were. Spike could have sworn William was going to win the battle against Angelus, but as he weakened he let out the loudest roar this worlds blonde vampire had ever heard.

The roar caused Tasha to look up from her small battle she was taking on against a few lower vampires. She didn't think her over by the other vampire would be much help, there was enough people over there, besides these vampires had swarmed at her once Angel had left her side. She didn't have a weapon leaving the chambers, but luckily an old wooden post could easily be snapped to create a stake replica. Her arms were still stiff, her back and head still hurt but there was no use cowering in pain, she had to go on. The Slayer would rather die fighting than of old age. With her small area clear she took a look towards the mutants, it was strange to see them. All of her life she was brought up to hate them, but once she'd become a potential she grew to like them as her parents claimed was was one. Now she was seeing them in action, she wondered why her mother hated them. Maybe it was just fear from their power.*

Spike: "Oh no you don't!"

*Spike yelled over to Angelus as he charged towards him. Anger giving him more energy, to run faster in time to boulder him over. He grinned satisfied with himself about moving Angelus that far away from his other world's self. Even without a soul, you just can't let him die like that. He bent over William slightly, holding out his arm to help him up.*

Spike: "Here. I know I wouldn't want to take this, but go on take it. C'mon quickly!"

*His voice hurried, he looked over his shoulder quickly, to make sure Angelus was still down. He was, it caused Spike to shake his hand as if to motion for Spike to hurry up, wether he could see it or not.*

Thompson had not made it into the basement after Cat, a sudden fear had crept over him and he had backed off into the open again. As he fired quickly at any undead creatures that moved he sensed Angellus, it had been his task back in the other world to destroy the vampire before he could do any major damage, he had failed then, and was not about to do so again.

swiftly he located where the vampire was, he seemed to be fighting with both Spikes, the loud roar helping him find them. as Angellus fell to the floor he smirked, this worlds Spike had presented him with an easy shot, slowly he raised his gun up and took aim "Your reign of terror is over" he called out squeezing the trigger gently.

Through the noise of the fighting around the sickening clunk of an empty gun could be heard, the agents face lost its smirk as he realised he had run out of ammunition. quickly he slammed the gun into its holster and reached for his sword, remembering at the last miniute that it was still in lisa's room, "why do i bother?, just someone tell me why do i bother!" he mumbled loudly as he fumbled for his dagger, full aware that he had blown any cover he may had had before

Again the hasty motions of those around him was just leaving William in a dazed state, a very panicking dazed state, all he knew was that Angelus was thrown off him and that his hands felt like they where being crushed repeatedly. He heard the voice of his other self, there was a moment of self loathing before he finally managed to raise his arm enough for the other souled vampire to pull him up. Returning to his feet just sent more pain rippling through his body, slumping forward, William's body quickly grabbed by this worlds Spike as he tries to help stable William onto his feet. With a growl William grabbed at Spike's hands, trying to force the souled one to let of him.

Just as Will tries to push Spike away by shoving him back with the palm of his left hand pushing against his chest, another sharp pain hit his hand, both Spike's screaming out in pain. Gently, William pulled back his hand, the smooth feel of a wooden spike sliding from his palm, his fingers touched the point of the stake, Spike's hands gripping William's arms tightly as the growl of Angelus was heard behind them, twisting the stake in the souled counter part of Spike. With fear, William's hand reached quickly up for Spike's face, it wasn't real, it was another illusion of his mind, because Spike had a soul, he can't die because he has a soul.. right.. he was good and can't..

The solid form his fingers where touching soon disappeared, melting away under his touch, Spike's presence fading from his senses. He could feel the soul, he could almost feel the warmth, and then that too went cold, becoming empty and hollow as it's taken away.

Angel stood from where he was with Dawn, turning towards where he could sense something just too terrible to believe, his eyes looking past all the fighters and towards where Angelus and the other worlds Spike stood. Jennifer almost dragged herself to her feet, wiping a trickle of blood from the corner of her lips as she stared at Angelus, stake in hand, standing in front of her Spike. Dawn raised her head and stared towards where Angel was looking, she could feel it as well.. the Spike who had once saved her just faded away..

Angelus stepped forward, leaning closer to the remaining Spike, whispering something quietly into the blonde vampires defened ears. Spike didn't seem to flinch, or even attempt to move away, simply standing there, but as Angelus kept speaking, the tears that silently escaped the insane creature hinted to the hurtful words Angelus was telling him. The elder vampire stepped away from Spike, taking hold of his hand and placing the stake within the younger ones grasp.

The telepatic mutant looked towards Storm, the look upon the Phoenix showed she thought this had gone on long enough, they where focusing on the weaker targets, they needed to take care of Angelus before anything else happened. Holding her fingers to her temples as Jean hovered in the air, the telepath allowed her mind to wrap around the cruel vampire, pulling him up from the ground.

An awkward hesitation swept over the battle scene, heads turning up to look at their their leader or their enemy as he was held helplessly by Jean. Her arm stretched out towards him as her hold grew tighter, she gave a nod to Storm, as if signalling for the weather witch to give the command to attack him, too much focus on Jean's part to make the command herself.

"Spike.. Spike give me the stake.. Spike let go of the stake." Jennifer's words seemed to land upon deaf ears, Spike not responding to her in the slightest, his grip on the wooden weapon far to strong for her to simply pull it free from him without hurting him even more. Angel had made his way towards the two, stopping a few meters away, Jennifer's attention soon turning towards him, the pain in Angel's face causing her to leave Spike and comfort her former lover.

Slowly, Spike turned his head towards them, as if watching her trying to affectionately ease her lovers pain over losing his souled companion. His blind hazel eyes closing for a moment, before turning towards the direction he could sense the other Slayer standing. He gripped the stake even tighter within his pale fingers, his unseeing gaze dropping down to the ground, ignoring the attack upon Angelus, ignoring everything around him.

"You can fight the good fight Spike, you can pretend to be one of them till you quiver with human emotions, but you'll never be one of them.." The whispers of Angelus returned to him as he stood there, Spike stepped a few feet back from where his other had fallen, where the ashy remains still lingered until a breeze would whip them up and take them away.

"..You'll never be loved, and when we go, when they take us away from you...you'll be alone, because they'll all die... but you'll go on forever." Bringing the stake close to his chest as everyone else seemed focused on Angelus and the vampires, all the sounds blurred and so muddled he didn't even bother trying to make sense of any of them.

"That's why I'm letting you live Spike, because that's just... that's better then anything I can ever do to you, just remember.. he lost his soul because of you." Raising his head, Spike stared ahead, it was his fault, he had hesitated while the vampire urged him to hurry. If he hadn't been so.. if he had just taken the hand without being so jealous and angry over the souled creature..

Re: - Center of Inquisition -
Tasha turned her head away from watching the mutants, to see how the bigger battle was going, to see that this worlds Spike had knocked over Angelus and that he was helping Will up. She began to take a couple of steps forward as she moved to get a closer look, but another weak vampire had strayed away from it's group to attack the Slayer. It wasn't too much of a battle, lasting momently before her poor excuse for a stake dug through it's body causing it fall to ashes.

It may not have lasted too long, but it was enough to miss Angelus getting up and slaying his wooden stake through this worlds Spike. She watched as he cruelly twisted it through his body, but soon enough this worlds Spike began to fade away. A pile of ashes being the only sign showing he had once lived. It didn't seem right, he had a soul that made him as human as a vampire can be. He couldn't just be killed like that...

She stared blankly down at the ashes, then up again to see the only Spike left in hold of a stake. Her narrowed eyes then followed Angelus as he moved away from Spike, her head lifting as he rose off the ground due to another mutants power. She wasn't the only one looking up, almost everyone seemed to be watching as Jean did her stuff. She wondered for a moment what her mother would do if she could see this, her daughter with these mutants which she hated so much. A small smirk crossed her face over that fact.

She looked down momently as she felt eyes upon her, soon finding out it was the blinded eyes belonging to Spike. As his gaze dropped, she noticed that he still had hold of the stake that Angelus had given him. The thought of the ancient vampire made her look back up again, as his body floated. What a scoundrel he was! He'd taken away half of the worlds soulled vampires and it's not like it was easy to get souls for vampires. Again she looked down but over to Angel, this time, as he was comforted by the other Slayer. Angel would be the one to feel it the most, he had lost his soulled buddy. Tasha couldn't blame him, she'd be upset if she lost someone who she was close too, but luckily for her she wasn't close to anyone. The closest friend she had was probably either a wooden stake or death.

Her head rose for the third time in the short time since Angelus had become a floating vampire, wouldn’t life be just the little bit sweeter if she could defeat him? However, by the look of things everyone wanted a piece of him. She couldn’t blame them, whenever he was around he was the most wanted vampire. The mutants had their reason, the other Slayer and Spike had theirs and Tasha still wanted to give him something since he ‘so kindly’ made her body stiff, with added numbness and pain. But the others probably had way more of a reason than just that to rid the world of him. But it was her job to destroy demonic creatures like that… So many buts… She closed her eyes for a short moment and decided to let the others get him. She could go on and rid other demons the next day, today could be the day for someone else. Besides, it might just annoy the Watcher’s Council if they find out.

the end
"Aran, watch out!"

Aurora's yell came to late. The time her message needed to reach the greening mutant was enough for Drusilla to sent him to the ground. Painfully, Dryad's head hit a stone lying senselessly around as stones tend to do and like so many people before him, he just wondered why.
Stars where dancing in front of his closed eyes and the temptation to simply lie there on the ground and let others fight his battle was almost too much to ignore. However, as Dru approached him in her floating manner, Aran's survival instinct took over.

Although it caused a dizzy spell to hit him, the green skinned one jumped on his feet preparing to battle.

"C'mon, madame vampirelle, let's see how much you're into sunbathing!"[/i]

Something caused Rogue to turn from the scene and look towards the center's exit which they had left through just some minutes ago. Why was Spike coming to the battlefield? He was hurt too badly to fight, he couldn't even see or hear properly!
Too far away to react in time, the southern belle was doomed to helplessly watch Angelus "taking care" of him and just as relief wanted to be her dominating feeling when this world's Spike most probably saved his "life", something happened. From the distance, Rogue was unable to see what was actually happening, but one of the Spike's suddenly disappeared.

It hadn't been her Spike. It couldn't have been him, she would have felt it, right? RIGHT?!
As Angelus approached the remaining one again, the time to watch was over. As fast as she could, Rogue flew to the two ancient undead and as Spike was alone standing with the stake, she
who he was. Will wasn't gone yet... but if he didn't come back to his senses, it was just a matter of seconds until he was like this world's counterpart.

From her elevated position, Storm had had a good overview at what was going on, yet she had been unable to prevent what had happened far too fast. As Jean got hold of Angelus, the windrider knew this was the moment to end this fight.
Her voice loud and clear - the elements' noise suddenly disappearing, the windrider commanded

"Everyone with long distance powers: attack Angelus! The rest guards the others! Go!"

In physical battle, Aran realized soon he stood no chance against the vampiress. Especially not if she stunned him.
After just half a minute, Drusilla's head was dangerously close to his neck but before she could sink her teeth into it, Storm's call sounded. The distraction was just what he had waited for.

"Eat this!"
Aran'kla hissed and - since he couldn't move his arms - concentrated his solar power at his back. A soft golden glow radiated from his body before a blinding light erupted.

"Dust to dust"

Cynically, Dryad looked down at the pile of ashes - the only remains of the once feared demon named Drusilla.

The mutant Rogue ignored the words shouted by her friend and only registered Dru's death with a quick sideglance. Neither of that mattered.

"Will!"

Shouting his name, she finally reached him as well ignoring whoever was around.
Her voice - constantly switching between her own and his accent - was full of fear as she tried to catch his eyes.

"You promised me to stay as long as ah I need ya... I do need you... ah still do and if not forever, it'll be like this for quite some more time!
We're both not good with words so let's just screw the whole speech thing and just...."

The southern belle interrupted herself as her lips found his. Kissing him, she softly laid her hands on the stake.

"Don't! Please hell... don't do this to meh!"
she whispered in desperation.

Meanwhile, others followed Ororo's command.

Remembering the original target of their mission, Aran'kla Tzho-Quentin raised both his hands aiming at Angelus.
"For everyone that lost their faith because of you..."
he shouted as a mighty beam of golden light speeded towards the helpless demon.

This was the moment she had been waiting for since this woman had beaten her with one simple move. This was the time to show what she got!
"For everyone that was crying because of you..."
The yell sounded unheard as a dragon made of flames ascended from Aurora Garnet Ferelle's whole body flying towards his aim accompanied by the fire's roar.

Concentrating her powers, Storm hovering above everyone else raised her arms. Thunder rolled as her glowing eyes focused on Angelus.
"Let this unworthy creature be gone forever... for everyone who has died because of you!"
Too fast for the eye, lightning descended with the ancient vampire being in the very center of it.

Not caring for the apocalyptic battle, the southern belle leaned her head against Spike's forehead and whispered softly
"You're all I have... all that matters..."

Re: - Center of Inquisition -
As soon as he felt Dru's presence fade, he shut his eyes, his former lover.. gone.. forever, he'd never see her again, never be able to show her what it's like to be held.. But she’ll never hurt him again.. but she was a vampire, maybe that's the only way she could show her affections.. maybe..

"Will!" The faintest sound of Rogue's distant, yet familiar, voice pulled his thoughts slightly from the death of his sire, which was.. for some strange reason.. tearing him apart inside.. even after everything she's done. He liked Rogue being close to him, it gave the pretence that Angelus was wrong, that someone really did care.. even if it was only a lie.. It was a lie because she didn't love him, not truly, but can anyone love him? He was dead... did he even know how to feel love? He's never felt what it's really like, he died before ever kissing a girl, he died before ever holding on, how did he know what he felt was even able to be called love?

"You promised me to stay as long as ah I need ya... I do need you... ah still do and if not forever, it'll be like this for quite some more time! We're both not good with words so let's just screw the whole speech thing and just...." The touching of lips caused him to flinch slightly, the stinging pain in his lips quickly faded however as he ignored it and focused on the warmth of her lips on the cold night. Though the chill of the night had mostly been washed away by the constant fire based attacks, Spike's lips weakly returned her kiss, not with the same passion he'd normally give, just the simplest of touch.. the most effort he could do without hurting even more. He felt the extra weight upon his hands as Rogue rested her own hands over the stake he was grasping, he could feel the fear swelling inside of her.

"Don't! Please hell... don't do this to meh!" He barely caught her words, she had whispered them and with all the noise around them the whispers had to be painfully assorted into understandable words. He looked down, even though he couldn't see the stake, his blind eyes staring blankly at the wooden weapon.

"You're all I have... all that matters..." Her forehead rested against his own, but shortly.. even though he had been desperately trying to ignore it, the vampire tore his unseeing eyes up towards where he could sense Angelus. She had more then him, she had everything, she had a soul, a heart, just beating away inside of her, she had her friends, and she had a home a place she belonged.. she had so much..

He didn't need to have sight to see what was going on, he could feel everything, he could feel Angelus was calling for him, as if one final test for his loyalty, just calling for Spike to help.. He pulled his eyes away from his grandsire, shifting about, his arms reaching up for Rogue's shoulders, his stake still grasped in his right hand. His wrists rested on the shoulders of the southern belle, his breath growing rapid as he began to panic over being left alone. As soon as the ashes of Angelus where spread as far as Jean's mind could manage to throw them, Spike began yelling, screaming in a sudden burst of panic as if he was in extreme pain.

Just yelling was hurting him, his knees gave out as he tried to keep his grip on Rogue's shoulders, he looked up at her, shaking his head with a frightened expression. Still refusing to let go of the stake, it was his, Angelus gave it to him, he wouldn't hurt himself with it, not right now, he just wanted to keep it, don't let any one take it away from him, it was his, it was all he had.

His body was rocking back and forth, his yells quieting to soft whimpers, still shaking his head as he tapped it against Rogue's thighs, the stake clutched tightly with both hands against his chest, the point safely facing downwards. He was so tired of being here, he was so tired of being afraid, being in pain, he was tired and no one would allow him to just rest.. No one will release him from this pain, but they take away others of his kind, they take away his sire, his grandsire, but not him, they'll never let him go.

"That looked... really painful." Angel tore his eyes from where Angelus had once been, a shiver running down his back at the thought that could have just as easily been him.

"Everyone, back to the Jet!" Jean's called reached into the minds of all, her voice also calling out for those such as the vampires who had a resistance to her telepathy. Jennifer held Angel a little tighter as they moved towards the Jet, the direction most had slowly began to take, Lisa's hand reaching down and helping Dawn to her feet. Angela trailed behind, suffering from exhaustion, though most probably where at this time.

Spike's hand weakly took hold of Rogue's hand, too tired to even groan at the pain that shot through his own wounded one. He tugged at her arm, gently pulling her to her knees, his quick, shallow breathing seen easily by the rapid rise and fall of his battered chest. The vampire shifted his position, he couldn't hear what was happening, he couldn't see it, but he could feel it, he could feel everything. Resting his head against her shoulder, he leaned forward slightly, his left hand reaching for Rogue's lips. Closing his eyes, his body relaxed, the worn out creature simply blacking out from all he's been through, the insane vampire falling into a restless sleep.. Maybe when he woke up... maybe everyone will be back, maybe he won't be alone any more.. His right hand still tightly grasped the stake, stubbornly refusing to be parted from it, even in his weakened and defenceless state.

Re: the end
As soon as the physical contact was restored, Rogue could feel him again, his thoughts, hopes and fears. For a moment - before her trained mind managed to sort the part belonging to Spike and her very own to two different sides - she wanted to yell at her team mates, accuse them for killing her grandsire but as it was gone, only mild confusion was left.
Why was he feeling this way? The ones having tortured him for centuries, the ones having driven him insane - they were both gone forever, yet instead of feeling relief, Rogue could only sense despair. As if this had triggered something, the reply came as a echo of her own mental question, the corresponding information making its way from the vampire's mind to hers.

"I don't wanna be left alone!"

Alone? How could he be along having her? Again, the reply came but this time - although registering it - the southern belle blocked it out, denied to let it come to her conscious fully.

"... because you'll die... but I'll remain forever"

As Jean's message too infiltrated Rogue's mind, the absorption mutant for a moment felt the urge to shout something about her brain not being some train station.
Carrying Spike - who had after helping her up fallen asleep - the southern belle left the battlefield not bothered by any of the very few vampires left. Obviously, the group of mutants had gained something very close to respect or at least fear.

"Are you fine?"

Aurora's concerned voice came to his dim conscious.

"Wow..."
was all Aran could say in reply. This had been the most powerful blast he had ever had released and the fact that it had almost made him faint aside, the greening mutant felt just great.
With a little help of the fiery beauty who was breathing heavily herself, the two of them approached the jet where Storm, not visibly exhausted, awaited them.

"Very well done!"

With an appreciating smile, the GSF's leader welcomed her team and everyone else. This was truly something those newbies could be proud on!
